Estelle Cmaylo Schoeneck, 91, of 5264 Willow Place, Verona, died Friday at Oneida Healthcare Center Extended Care Facility. Born in Akron, Ohio, she graduated from Oneida High School. She was a medical secretary at Griffiss Air Force Base, Rome. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Verona. Her husband, Henry C., died in 1987. Survivors: Three daughters, Patricia Scanlon of Falls Church, Va., Sandra Kessler of Pittsford and Faith Havoc of Atlanta; two sons, John H. of Munnsville and Henry C. of Williamsport, Pa.; three brothers, Joseph Cmaylo and Walter Cmaylo, both of Verona, and Alex Cmaylo of Durhamville; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Services: 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at Campbell-Dean Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Burial, St. Francis Cemetery. Henrietta L. Soukup

Henrietta L. Soukup, 92, of Daytona Beach, Fla., died Friday. Born in Seneca Falls, she lived many years in the Syracuse area before moving to Florida in 1998. She also spent winters in Clearwater, Fla., for more than 30 years. She graduated from St. Lucy's Academy. She retired as a state government hearing officer for insurance claims. She was a communicant of St. Paul's Church. Survivors: Her husband of 72 years, Edward F.; two daughters, Margaret Landers of Holly Hill, Fla., and Joan Thomas of Brewerton; a son, Joseph of Brewerton; a brother, Paul Dierdorf of Syracuse; two sisters, Agnes Pelkey of Largo, Fla., and Rita Dwyer of Bath; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren. Services: In Florida. Baggett and Summers Funeral Home, Daytona Beach, had arrangements.

Carolyn Cumming

Carolyn Kiehl Cumming, 77, of 328 Medford Road, Syracuse, died Saturday. She was born in Syracuse. She worked at the gift shop at the Thruway rest stop in DeWitt and had formerly worked at the Downy Flake Bakery and Pastime Athletic Club. She was a member of Friedens E&R United Church of Christ and its Friendship Circle and the Order of the Eastern Star Bona Fide Hiawatha Solvay Chapter 567. Her husband, James Sr., died in 2001. Survivors: Two sons, James W. Jr. of Lakeland and William of Syracuse; a brother, Richard Kiehl of Liverpool; a grandchild. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday in Friedens E&R United Church of Christ. Carmella M. Finn

Carmella M. DeMasi Finn, 77, of Marcellus died Sunday. She was born on Staten Island. She retired in 1990 after 11 years as a cashier for Clothesline Store in Staten Island. She was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church, Marcellus. Her husband, Joseph, died in 1969. Survivors: A daughter, Rose Mary Finn of Rochester; two brothers, Ralph DeMasi of Syracuse and Vincent DeMasi of Linden, N.J. John C. "Jack" Flask, 60, of 645 Masters Road, Elbridge, died Friday of cancer. Born in Syracuse, he graduated from Syracuse Vocational High School. He retired in 2001 after eight years at Wilbedone Inc. in Cortland. He was a volunteer for 15 years with Boy Scouts of America Hiawatha Seaway Council and a former Cub Scout master. He was an Air Force veteran. Survivors: His wife, the former Mildred Stonecipher; two daughters, Mary A. Cantello of Syracuse and Elizabeth Bernardin of Baldwinsville; three sons, John C. Jr. of Syracuse and Joseph C. and Jay C., both of Camillus; two sisters, Beatrice Golembiewski of Syracuse and Ruth Edwards of Kirkville; six grandchildren. Services: 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at B.L. Bush & Sons Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's of the Lake Church. Burial, Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling hours, 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 10 Genesee St., Camillus. Anna Mae Wells, 93, formerly of 5442 Main St., Durhamville, died Saturday at Community Memorial Hospital's extended-care residence. A life resident of Durhamville, she graduated from Oneida High School. She retired in 1973 after 40 years at Oneida Ltd. She was a member of the Oneida Ltd. Retirement Club and Community Association Clubs, a life member of St. Francis Church in Durhamville and a member of St. Francis-St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society. Mary A. Mahaney Winters, 94, of South Manlius Street, Fayetteville, died Saturday. Born in Aurora, she lived in King Ferry for several years. She graduated from Auburn City Hospital School of Nursing. She retired in 1972 as a registered nurse after 10 years at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. Her husband, Cortlandt G., died in 1963. A son, Bruce G., died in 1992. Survivors: A son, George G. of Fayetteville; a brother, Jerry Mahaney of Bradenton, Fla.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Mary M. Young, 79, of Syracuse died Thursday at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. She was born in Syracuse. She retired in 1973 as a nurse's aide at St. Mary's Hospital in Syracuse. She was a communicant of Assumption and Holy Cross churches and was a member of the Assumption School PTA. She volunteered at Frank McCarthy School. Her husband, John F., died in 1978. A daughter, Barbara A. Young, died in 1996. Survivors: A daughter, Mary M. Young of Syracuse; three sons, Edward of Cape Cod, Mass., William of Syracuse and Michael of Orlando, Fla.; two grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Van Duyn. Constantine John Cannellos, 85, of 265 W. Borden Ave., Syracuse, died Sunday in Rosewood Heights Health Center, Syracuse. He was born in Syracuse. He retired in 1982 as a chef at the Sheraton Inn in Liverpool. He owned the Gridiron Restaurant on Marshall Street. He was a member of St. Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church and belonged to Hotel Industry Local Union 150. His wife, the former Helen Cyrankowski, died in 1996. Survivors: Two daughters, Joanne D. Georgiade of Baldwinsville and Constance Yanulis of Fairmount; two sons, John of Syracuse and Richard of Neshanic Station, N.J.; two brothers, Robert of Onondaga Hill and George of Syracuse; nine grandchildren. John W. "Jack" Catania, 68, of Florida Road, Mattydale, died Sunday. He was born in Auburn. He retired as a machinist in 1998 after 32 years with Syracuse China. He was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in East Syracuse. He was a co-founder and assistant scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 607 in Mattydale. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3148 in Mattydale. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors: His wife of 44 years, the former Emily Park; a daughter, Teresa Hamilton of Denver; two sons, Joseph J. of Cicero and Michael C. of Chesapeake, Va.; a sister, Connie Skutt of Jordan; a brother Francis; five granddaughters. The Rev. Salvatore D'Alessandro, 88, of Loretto Geriatric Center, Syracuse, died Friday. Born in Italy, he graduated from the seminary in Rome. He was a Roman Catholic priest for 62 years, serving locally as vicar pastor in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Liverpool and as a priest at Our Lady of Pompei Church in Syracuse during the 1970s. He also served in churches in Binghamton, Endicott and Sanataria Springs. Survivor: One sister, Cilia Gravina of Lansing, Mich. Services: 7 p.m. Wednesday in St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Mildred A. "Millie" Peckay Diodati, 84, of Brewerton died Saturday. Born in Little Falls, she attended St. Mary's Academy in Little Falls. She had worked as a nanny in New York City and was a homemaker. She was a member of Slovenian Home and Holy Family Parish, both in Little Falls. Her husband, Orlando, died in 1985. Survivors: Two sons, Ron of Little Falls and Tom of Brewerton; three daughters, Carol A. Smith of Latham, Lucille D. Browning of Liverpool and Darlene D. Davis of Brewerton; two brothers, Thomas Peckay of East Herkimer and Frank Peckay of Little Falls; nine grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. Services: Will be in Little Falls. She was the granddaughter of the late Joseph Griffin, the Syracuse civic activist, for whom Griffin Field is named. Her husband, Howell, and son, Randolph, died in 1994. Survivors: Two daughters, Joe-Anna  Taylor of Baldwinsville and Alexandra Roe of Manlius; a son, Christopher of Delray Beach, Fla.; a brother, Joseph Reidel of Syracuse; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
