Christopher Todd Leamy
CLIFTON PARK - Christopher Todd Leamy, 30, of Apple Tree Lane, died Thursday at Ellis-Sunnyview Hospital.
Mr. Leamy worked as a deliv- eryman for several pizza restaurants in Clifton Park.

He had attended the Shenendehowa schools and was a communicant of Corpus Christi Church.

Survivors include his parents, Patrick and Susan Paddock Leamy of Clifton Park; a sister, Jackie Valachovic of Round Lake; and a brother, Adam Leamy of Clifton Park.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 this morning at Corpus Christi Church.

Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Saratoga Springs.

Arrangements are by the Catricala Funeral Home, 1597 Route 9.

Clara Canali-Sallade
COLONIE - Mrs. Clara Tenenini Canali-Sallade died Saturday at the Albany County Nursing Home.
Mrs. Canali-Sallade was born in Albany and was a resident of Albany and Colonie most of her life.

She was the wife of the late Gilbert Canali Sr. and Edward M. Sallade.

Survivors include three daughters, Maria E. Shafer of Knox, Donna J. Canali of San Francisco, Calif., and Louise C. Albertson of New Baltimore; a son, Victor G. Canali Sr. of Clifton Park; two brothers, Edward Tenenini and Louis Tenenini, both of Colonie; a sister, Mary Carnicelli of Colonie; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday at the New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, and at 9:30 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.

Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.

Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 7 Washington Square, Albany 12205.

Emily C. Pegler
COLONIE - Mrs. Emily C. Pegler, who was employed as secretary for more than 15 years at the General Electric Co, died Saturday at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Mrs. Pegler, of Delafield Drive, was 64.
Mrs. Pegler was born in Elizabeth, N.J., and was a Colonie resident most of her life.

Mrs. Pegler was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include a daughter, Judith A. Case of Schenectady; a son, Richard J. Pegler of Reading, Mass.; and four grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at the New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, and at 11 at St. Paul the Apostle Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.

Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady.

Calling hours will be 8:30 to 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 7 Washington Square, Albany 12205, in memory of Mrs. Pegler.

George C. Hohenstein
SARATOGA SPRINGS - George C. Hohenstein, who worked as a production supervisor for the Watervliet Arsenal until his retirement in 1970, died Saturday at Saratoga Hospital. Mr. Hohenstein, of Meditation Way, was 88.
Mr. Hohenstein was born in Albany.

He was a member of the McGregor Links Golf Club for more than 30 years and was inducted into the Albany Bowling Hall of Fame in 1985.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Helene Williams Hohenstein; two daughters, Suzanne H. Charles of Clifton Park and Rosalind Conway of Albany; and two grandsons.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 N. Broadway.

There will be no calling hours.

Memorial contributions may be made to Wilton Emergency Inc., 1 Harran Lane, Saratoga Springs 12866.

Helena Schoeffler
AMSTERDAM - Mrs. Helena Schoeffler, 86, formerly of Route 67, died Saturday at the Edward L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility, where she had been a resident.
Mrs. Schoeffler was born in Manchester, N.H. She lived in Broadalbin as a young girl and moved to Manny Corners in Amsterdam in 1937.

She was a housekeeper and cook for several area physicians, including Drs. James B. Conant and George C. Ferguson.

Mrs. Schoeffler was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She was married to William C. Schoeffler, who died May 21, 1981.

Survivors include a son, Ronald W. Schoeffler of Augusta, Ga.; two sisters, Hilda Tropiak of Broadalbin and Edna Keller of Gloversville; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A service is set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave.

Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill.

Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 40 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam 12010.

Mary Califano
AMSTERDAM - Mrs. Mary R. Califano, who was employed by the state Department of Taxation and Finance for many years, died at home Saturday after a long illness. Mrs. Califano, of Grieme Avenue, was 95.
Mrs. Califano was born in Buffalo.

She retired from the state Department of Taxation and Finance in 1970.

Mrs. Califano was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church and a former member of its Christian Women's Society.

Her husband, Theodore Califano, whom she married in 1926, died in 1985.

Survivors include a daughter, Loretta Califano DiZillo of West Chester, Pa.; a son, Theodore Califano Jr. of Amsterdam; two brothers, John Dattoli of Gloversville and Thomas Dattoli of Chicago, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the De Stefano Funeral Home, Route 5S, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:15 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Carmel Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.

Mary E. DesJardins
SARATOGA SPRINGS - Mrs. Mary E. DesJardins, who was a knitter and lace worker at the Van Raalte Knitting Mill, died Saturday at the Wesley Health Care Center. Mrs. DesJardins, formerly of Woodlawn Avenue and George Street, was 97.
Mrs. DesJardins was born in Waterford and was an area resident most of her life.

She was a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Gurtler Bros. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 420 for more than 65 years and was a former president and treasurer.

Mrs. DesJardins also was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars National Home in Michigan and the Saratoga Springs Eagles Aerie, where she was a past madame president.

She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Military Order of Cooties and received its 1000 Hour Pin.

She was the widow of Ernest Luce and Webster DesJardins.

Survivors include a daughter, Maryellen T. Celeste of Saratoga Springs, two grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway.

Burial will follow in Greenridge Cemetery, Lincoln Avenue.

Calling hours will be 7 to 9 tonight at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 N. Broadway.

Memorial contributions may be made to charity.

Peter R. Stec
CLIFTON PARK - Peter Raymond Stec, 69, of Meadow Run, died Friday at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady after being stricken.
Mr. Stec grew up in Poughkeepsie and attended public schools there. He graduated from Poughkeepsie High School in 1951 and joined the Marine Corps, serving from 1951 to 1954 in the Mediterranean Sixth Fleet.

After being discharged, Mr. Stec returned to Poughkeepsie and joined the IBM Corp.

He attended Dutchess County Community College, graduating from the electrical/mechanical/technical school in 1961.

Mr. Stec joined the IBM East Fishkill manufacturing semiconductor program in 1962 and was promoted to management in 1965.

He served in a variety of managerial positions over the next 14 years and retired from the company in 1987 after 33 years of service.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Doris Rinaldi Stec; two daughters, Jacqueline Whalen of Woodbury, Minn., and Michele Neyer of Fall River, Mass.; a son, Paul Stec of Schenectady; two brothers, George Stec of Queensbury and Charles Stec of Poughkeepsie; four sisters, Cecilia Berkley, Marian Troot and Agnes Foote, all of Poughkeepsie, and Patricia Thorne of Alexandria, Va.; and four grandchildren.

A service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St., Schenectady, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 at St. John the Evangelist Church in Schenectady.

Burial will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Church, 816 Union St., Schenectady 12308.
