COMERFORD, JEAN A. - Jean A. Comerford a 22 year resident of Pelham, NY, died November 6, 2000. She was 67. Mrs. Comerford was born January 14, 1933 in Bronx, NY to the late Rocco and Anna (Moricone) Giametto. She graduated from the Bronx Vocational High School. On June 11, 1955 she married Michael Comerford at St. Luke‘s Church in Bronx, NY. Mrs. Comerford was a parishioner of St. Catherine‘s Church. She is survived by her husband Michael, four children Michael and Jean Marie Comerford, Barbara Comerford Mustich and Kerri Comerford Georges, two sisters Nancy Coretti and Dolores Miozza, sister in law Muriel Comerford, four grandchildren, Carmine and Briana Comerford, Jillian and Luke Mustich, eight nieces and nephews and sixteen great nieces and nephews. COUGHLIN, DAVID JOSEPH - David Joseph Coughlin, having completed 72 years, passed from this world at his home of 34 years in Tallman, NY on Saturday 04 November A.D.-MM. DANKO, VIRGINIA - Virginia Danko, a resident of Port St. Lucie, FL for 12 years, died on Sunday, November 5, 2000. She was 84 years old and was a native of Pelham, NY. Survivors include a sister Helen DeSantis and two brothers, Anthony and Ralph DiDonato. She was predeceased by her husband, George Danko, a sister, Loretta Carmedella and a brother, Julian DiDonato. DELNEGRO, GIOVANNA - Giovanna DelNegro, 82, of Stamford, CT, died November 6, 2000 in Stamford Hospital. She was born December 2, 1917 in Greenwich, CT and resided in Stamford for 17 years and prior to that she resided in Port Chester for several years. She worked for the former Empire Brush Company in Port Chester, NY for 17 years, and also worked at Suny College in Purchase, NY, for nine years. Survivors include her daughter, Domenica (Minnie) Tripodi, of Stamford, CT, her brother, Martino Megale of Stamford, CT, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 9, 2000 at 10 am at St. Mary‘s Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford, CT. FILIPPI, AUGUSTINE M. - Augustine M. Filippi, a former Croton resident, died Sunday at Field Home Holy Comforter in Yorktown. She was 92. She was born in Vincenza, Italy on November 4, 1908. She came to the United States in 1925, to the Bronx, and settling in Croton in 1939. She married Louis Filippi in Yonkers, at St. Mary’s Church on September 27, 1931. Together they operated the Post Inn Restaurant in Croton, until the 1970‘s. Mr. Filippi died in 1977. She was a Parishioner at Holy Name of Mary Church, and also belonged to the Croton Senior Citizens. Her daughter said that she loved her family, cooking for them, and growing vegetable gardens. She is survived by a son Ronald Filippi, of Cape Cod, two daughters Eleanor Cristello, of Barefoot Bay, FL, and Diane Filippi, of New Rochelle, four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she is predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. The funeral Mass is Thursday at 10:00 AM at Holy Name of Mary Church. Friends may call at the EDWARD F. FROMMELT, JOHN B. "JACK" - John B. "Jack" Frommelt age 53 of Wayne died Monday at home. Mr. Frommelt was a partner in Tarantella Restaurant and Pizzari, Nyack, NY for the past four years; previously he was a Certified Public Accountant having worked for Optican, Inc, Orangeburg, NY, General Electric in Somerville, RCA (Radio Corporation of America) in both Somerville and New York City and Price Waterhouse in New York City. Surviving are his wife Frances (nee Klein) Frommelt; two daughters Tracy Frommelt of San Diego, California and Heather Frommelt of Brooklyn, New York, his mother Ruth (Nee Banta) Frommelt of Wayne and one brother Andrew Frommelt of Wayne. GERONIMO, MARIE A. - Marie A. Geronimo, Clarkstown receiver of Taxes 70, died on November 6, 2000 at New York City Hospital after a seven year battle with Leukemia. She was surrounded by her close family at the time of her death. Marie was a devoted mother, sister, daughter, aunt, public servant and friend. Marie was born on May 10, 1930 in the Bronx to Carmelo and Carmela Spiro, both Italian Immigrants. She grew up in the Bronx with three brothers and sisters. She attended Central Commercial High School in New York City and worked part time for John P. Maguire, Factors Inc. as a messenger and mail clerk. A women ahead of her time, Marie graduated in 1948 and took a permanent position with JP Maguire. While at Maguire, Marie was promoted several times and went on to head up their Flour Planning Financing Division. Marie left Maguire after 20 years for a more challenging position as a full time mother. In April 1957, Marie married Frank Geronimo, also of the Bronx. In May 1967 they moved up to Congers with their two children . Marie quickly made her mark in the community and consistent with her undying devotion to her children. Marie volunteered for organizations in which they were involved. She served as an assistant Girl Scout leader, a den mother in the cub scouts and as a PTA President for Congers Elementary School. She went on countless field trips, monitored lunches and manned booths at school fairs. Marie‘s devotion to people went far beyond her own household. She volunteered for the Rockland County Chapter of the American Cancer Society and served on the Executive Board as Treasurer for six years. Marie was the first woman lion to be installed by the New City Lions Club. She also served as President for that organization as well as an Executive Board Member . Marie was selected as the Humanitarian of the year in 1993 by the Boys Town of Italy. She was heavily involved in many of their fund raising activities, and even served as a judge for the Rockland County Columbus Day Parade. Marie made a continuous contribution to Rockland County Politics during her residence. She was a Clarkstown Republican Committee person since 1969. She served as the Vice Chairman of the Clarkstown Republican Committee for seven years. She was also a former treasurer of the Clarkstown Women’s Republican Club. Marie has served as a volunteer for all of Congressman Ben Gilman‘s successful congressional campaigns since 1972. She was also a instrumental part of many other successful political campaigns in Rockland County. Her own political career began in 1984 when she was appointed to Clarkstown Receiver of Taxes. In 1985, she ran a successful campaign for that position and had served in that capacity until the time of her death. Marie brought to the receivers office a rare mixture of compassion, honesty, professionalism and integrity, and she will be greatly missed. She was genuinely liked by all who crossed her path. She is survived by her husband Frank, of Congers, her mother Carmela Spiro, of Conger, her two children Donna McGregor of Lagrangville, NY and Vito Geronimo of Far Hills, NJ, one sister Nancy Fremont of Congers, and three brothers Louis Spiro of Greenwich, CT, John Spiro of Bronx, NY and Phillip Spiro of Albany, NY. Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Wednesday and Thursday at Higgins Funeral Home, 321 South Main Street, New City, NY. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday at St. Paul’s Church in Congers, Marie’s parish for over 33 years. GIANELLA, JOHN P. - John P. Gianella a longtime resident of Peekskill, died on Sunday, November 5, 2000. He was 92 years old. He was born on December 26, 1907 in New York City, NY, the son of John and Mary Rosaco Gianella. He attended Peekskill Schools. On April 24, 1935 he married Ann V. Mastrangelo at Assumption Church in Peekskill. She predeceased him January 2, 1995. Mr. Gianella was employed in both the public and private sector as a mason contractor. He worked in greater Westchester County and the greater southern tier of New York State. He was a seventy five year member of Local 55 Brick, Stone, Plaster and Cement Finishing Union. In his retirement, Mr. Gianella worked on special projects for Assumption Church, both at the church and at the cemetery. He was a communicant at the church as well. His son, Robert J. Gianella of Waco, Texas and one granddaughter, Gabrielle, survive Mr. Gianella. Four sisters and three brothers predecease him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, at 10 AM, Church of the Assumption, Peekskill. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery. GRAESSLE, FRANCIS JOSEPH - Francis Joseph Graessle of White Plains, New York .He was 78. Francis was born November 29, 1921 in Detroit Michigan to Ethel Barbara Hudson and Francis J. Graessle. He married Elizabeth Augusta Munro on July 25, 1942 in Detroit Michigan. Francis was educated in Detroit Michigan. He was a member of White Plains Chamber of Commerce, Knights of Columbus, White Plains Volunteer Fire Department, Kiwanis Club, and Westchester Hills Club. Locally Francis was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. He lived in White Plains for 54 years. Francis was retired since 1993. Francis was the prior owner of Graessle Hardware for over 40 years. He served in the U.S. Airforce, served during World War II (1942-1945). He is survived by two children Francis Joseph Graessle, Jr, Briarcliff Manor NY , Michael James Graessle, White Plains New York , one brother James Graessle, White Plains, , five sisters Margaret Knoff, Mary Lou Laske, Katy Mandziara, Dolly Nault, and Barbara Whitehouse, all of Michigan, five grandchildren Christopher Michael Graessle of White Plains, Lauren Ann Graessle, NYC, Kristin Denise Graessle, West Haverstraw, Kelly Ann Graessle, Briarcliff Manor, and Scott Curry, Briarcliff Manor, NY. Predeceased by his parents Ethel Barbara Hudson and Francis J. Graessle, one sister Lillian Wright. Memorial Mass will be held Saturday 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in White Plains. KILDARE, JOAN WINIFRED - Joan Winifred Kildare of Rye , NY, a 40 year resident of Rye died of Natural Causes on November 6, 2000 at Skilled Nursing Pavilion of the NY Medical Center in Port Chester, NY. She was 78. Ms. Kildare worked as a Home Keeper in Rye. Ms. Kildare was born on August 19, 1922 in Port Chester, NY, to Frank and Margaret Patterson Kildare. Ms. Kildare lived in Rye for the past 40 years. Locally she was a Parishioner at the Church of the Resurrection. MANSA, JULIA - Julia Mansa of Ossining, formerly of the Tarrytowns, died on November 7, 2000 at Phelps Memorial Hospital. She was 89. Mrs. Mansa was born March 11, 1911 in Jeannette, PA to Adam and Sophia Carnicky Kutch. Mrs. Mansa lived in Ossining for the past 20 years. Before that, she lived in the Tarrytowns. She was a member of the Senior Citizen‘s Group in Ossining and a parishioner of St. Ann‘s Church. Mrs. Mansa is survived by one son, John V. Mansa, of Wilton, CT; one daughter, Martha Mansa of Ossining; four brothers: Adam, John, Joseph and Vincent Kutch; three grandchildren: Christopher, Mark and Eric Mansa and five great-grandchildren. Her husband, John, and her son, Daniel, predeceased her, as did her brothers: Paul, Frank and Steve and her sisters: Anna, Mary and Kathryn. AIELLO, MARY L. - Mary Aiello of New Rochelle passed away on November 4, 2000. She was born in the Bronx on April 13, 1928 the daughter of Percy and Catherine Smith Way. Mary attended New Rochelle schools and retired from the New York Telephone Co. On September 28, 1947 she married James A. Aiello at Holy Name Church. Mrs. Aiello is survived by her loving daughter Joan A. Hamill, a sister Joan Harrison of California and two grandchildren Diane and Katherine Hamill. BARNES, ROBERT ELTON - Robert Elton Barnes a life long resident of Suffern NY died suddenly on November 5, 2000 at the age of 56. Mr. Barnes was born on October 26, 1944 in Suffern NY to Elton and Gladys Barnes. He graduated from Suffern High School and served in the US Navy from 1962 thru 1964. He was employed by Novartis Pharmaceuticals as a Material handler for the past 20 years. Mr. Barnes married Anna Chernik on July 3, 1999 at Indian Lake NY. He is a member of the American Legion Post 59 in Suffern, the La Societe Voiture # 386 of Forty & Eight in Sloatsburg NY and in the past he was a member of the Ramapo Volunteer Ambulance Corps. In addition to his wife Robert is survived by his daughter Mrs. Joseph (Jennifer) Chirco, a son Brian Barnes both of Tucson Arizona, two stepchildren Mrs. Doug (Kristina) Phillips of Chicago ILL, and Joseph Burton of Newburg NY, a sister Mrs. Joseph (Sally) Crisci of Suffern and two nieces Dina and Pam Crisci and a grandchild Kyle Stumbris. Funeral services for Mr. Barnes will be celebrated on Wednesday November 8, 2000 at 12 noon the Rev. Thomas Johnston officiating. BOBB, ERNEST BRADLEY - Ernest Bradley Bobb, 69, died November 4, 2000 at home after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born on February 8, 1931 to Ernest and Grace (Bradley) Bobb. Brad was brought up in Stony Point and graduated from Stony Point High School. He received his Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees and Certificate of Administration and Supervision from SUNY New Paltz. In 1950 he was inducted into the Marine Corps. and served until 1952. He was a past commander of the Rockland County Detachment of the Marine Corps. League and spent countless hours working on their various programs, including his favorite, Toys for Tots. In 1999 he was awarded the Elmer Jewell Award for service and the Col. Robert Stolerick Community Service Award by the MCL. A master teacher, Brad‘s life was spent in the education of both students and adults alike. In 1958 he joined the Nyack Public schools first as a sixth grade teacher in Liberty Street School and then as an Assistant Principal in the Hilltop Intermediate school. In 1972 he co-founded the sixth grade outdoor education program called project SEE (Save Everyone‘s Environment) which is still part of the school‘s curriculum. In 1992 he received the prestigious Patricia Roy Public Education Award from the Nyack Board of Education. In 1967 Brad organized the Shore Guard, Orange County Militia, Rockland County‘s recreated Revolutionary War militia unit. As its captain he was instrumental in running the Battle of Stony Point reenactments including the 200th anniversary in 1979. He was also a Deputy Commander in Lauzun‘s Legion, Expedition Liberte, and participated in the Treaty of Paris and Versailles reenactments. In 1984 Mr. Bobb was named Man of the Year by the Stony Point Chapter of the sons of the American Revolution. In 1994 he also received the Roy Day Award from the Living History Association based in Vermont for his dedication and service to living history. Mr. Bobb was an instructor for the N.Y.S. Hunter Safety and Marksmanship program for 20 years. He also spent 25 years in various echelons of the Boy Scouts including 17 years as program director in Camp Bullowa. He was an Eagle Scout and also received the Silver Beaver Award in 1964 for "Distinguished Service to Boyhood". Brad‘s love of God and Country and for the rights of mankind and family values was unwavering and uncompromising. He was a member of the Rockland County Marine Corps. League, Korean war Veterans and VVA Association. He was also the Down East Herdshire of the International Order of Rocky Mountain Goats. He leaves a legacy of Love for his wife, Lillian (Brett) and his five children, E. Mark Bobb of Pomona, Christine McCausland of Stroudsburg, PA, Kathleen Tamblin of Adams Center, NY, Bradley M. Bobb of Nyack, Beth Anne Encarnacion of West Haverstraw and his three stepsons, John Branath of Salt Lake City, UT, Bruce Branath of Denver, CO and James Branath of Cornwall, NY, 17 grandchildren, 2 sisters, Elizabeth (Mickey) Reiter of Wayne, ME and Ruth Rosenberg of St. Augustine, FL. He is predeceased by his parents and his sister, Marie Washburn. Visiting will be held at the Hannemann Funeral Home, Inc. Monday 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. BRILL, EMILY A. (NEE JEWETT) - Emily A. Brill (nee Jewett) 91, passed away November 3, 2000 in Corpus Christi, TX. Mrs. Brill was born July 5, 1909 in The Bronx and moved to Hartsdale in 1944 where she resided until 1997. She was a 27 year employee of The Town of Greenburgh serving in Town Hall. She retired at 77 as Deputy Town Clerk. Emmie was active in much community service and was a staunch supporter of Republican politics. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis H. Brill and her brother Fred Jewett. She is survived by her son Donald and wife Jane of Corpus Christi, Texas, two grandchildren, Douglas Brill of Houston, TX and Jonathan Brill and wife Christine of Corpus Christi, TX and two great grandchildren Joshua and Nolan. Also she is survived by a sister Katharyne Masicia of Greensboro, NC (formerly of Scarsdale), a brother John Jewett of Rochester, NY and by many loving nieces and nephews. CAVAGNARO, EMMA M. - Emma M. Cavagnaro died November 4, 2000 at Ramapo Manor Nursing Center, Suffern, NY. She was 91. Born September 14, 1909 in The Bronx, NY to Peter and Grace Lanzara. She was a resident of Rockland County for 5 years. For several years until retirement in Tucson, Arizona, Emma was employed as a full charge bookkeeper for American Airlines in New York City. After her husband‘s death she lived in Orlando, FL for 15 years, where she was a volunteer at the local public broadcasting radio station. Upon moving to Rockland County, she volunteered at Good Samaritan Hospital for several years. She was a devoted mother and loving grandmother. She was loved dearly and will dwell in the memory of those who loved her as long as they live. Mrs. Cavagnaro was predeceased by her husband, John F. Cavagnaro. She is survived by her two daughters, Annetherese Hirth of Suffern, NY and Jaclyn Rogers of San Diego, CA; 5 grandchildren, Tara Claps, Trisha Hirth, Chris, Scott and Brett Rogers and her precious great grandchild, Christopher Claps. She is also survived by her brother, Albert Lanzara of Fort Worth, TX. CLARKE, RUTH L. - Ruth L. Clarke of Valley Cottage died Sunday November 5, 2000 at the Dr. Robert L. Yeager Health Center in Pomona, she was 80 years old. Mrs. Clarke was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 16, 1920. The daughter of Joseph and Emma (Krizek) Tepley. Mrs. Clarke is survived by a daughter Lisa Hyland and two beloved grandchildren Alexander and Zachary Hyland. Friends may call at the T.J. AITKEN, JOYCE L. - Joyce L. Aitken of New Rochelle, NY died at Dumont Masonic Home, New Rochelle on January 21, 2001 at the age of 54. She was born June 11, 1946 in Mt. Vernon, NY to Joseph and Daisy (Bromm) Aitken. She resided in Wassaic State School, Wassaic, NY for many years and then moved to a group home in Millerton, NY where she lived for 27 years. She was a very sweet, loving and caring person. She loved to spool knit. She worked for the Organization for Retarded Persons and was very efficient. She is survived by two sisters, Jessie D'Onofrio and her husband Robert of Pelham, NY and Barbara Green and her husband Tom of Carmel, NY, two brothers Joseph Aitken and his wife Marie of Springhill, FL., and Thomas Aitken and his wife Karen of Wappingers Falls, NY. Also survived by eleven nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at the Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham NY on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9PM. BESARES, AIDA - Aida Besares, age 80, died on Jan. 21, 2001 in Holmdel, NJ.
She was a resident of St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of the Bronx.
She is survived by her loving children Naomi, Mike, Jose, Ruth, Cecilio Jr., Linda, Jenny, Felipe and David and the late Miriam and Mary.
Also surviving are her sisters, Gloria Perez and Juan Perez, 30 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
Visitation at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. in Eastchester Wednesday from 11AM-1PM and her son Mike will conduct a service at 1PM.
Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.

CELESTINO, MARGARET PRITCHARD - Margaret Pritchard Celestino, a longtime resident of Tuckahoe, died on January 21, 2001. Beloved wife of the late Paul. Dear sister of Dudley P. Pritchard and his wife Dorothy, and Dorothy Fagnani. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Margaret was born on April 2, 1916 to Dudley and Mary Fagan Pritchard in Jersey City, NJ. She was a teacher for 40 years in the Tuckahoe School District. The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC, EASTCHESTER, Wednesday, 7-9 pm and Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, January 26, 9:45 am at Immaculate Conception Church. Interment to follow at Holy Mount Cemetery.

CRAM, RUTH LAWYER - Ruth Lawyer Cram, a resident of Pelham, NY since 1944, died peacefully at home on January 19, 2001. She was 94 years old. Mrs. Cram was born in New York City on March 17, 1906. She was the eldest daughter of Louis R. and Mabel Lawyer, who lived in Mt. Vernon, NY. She attended schools in Mt. Vernon and graduated from the Katharine Gibbs School in New York City. Mrs. Cram worked for the Near East College Association in New York City prior to her marriage. In October 1928 she married Harkness Warren Cram of Mt. Vernon where they lived until October 1944 when they moved to Pelham. Mrs. Cram was predeceased by her husband who died in February 1988 and her sister, Winifred Warren of Florida who died in December 1985. Mr. Cram was active in community affairs as President of the PTA at Pelham Memorial High School, President of The Manor Club from 1962-1964, President of the Pelham Chapter of The Needlework Guild of Westchester, a long time member of The International Garden Club and a former member of Huguenot Yacht Club. Mrs. Cram, along with her husband, was a long time member of The First Baptist Church of Bronxville, NY. Mrs. Cram is survived by her three children: Harkness W. Cram, Jr. of Dennis, MA, Carolyn R. Cram of New York City, and Elizabeth C. Bucher of Pelham. In addition to her three surviving children, she was the loving and proud grandmother of five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday January 27, 2001 at 2:00PM at The First Baptist Church in Bronxville, NY. Interment is private. DICKINSON, REBA MARIE - Reba Marie Dickinson, age 60 of Waccabuc, NY, and former resident of Carmel, NY, died on January 20, 2001. Mrs. Dickinson was born March 6, 1940 in Coatsville, PA, to Allison and the late Lena Kaufman Bell. Growing up she attended schools in Union City, PA, and graduated from Eastern Mennonite University with a BS in Home Economics. On May 28, 1966 she married George E. Dickinson III, DDS, in Hyattsville, MD. In the past, Mrs. Dickinson was a teacher in the Washington, DC area. She also taught at BOCES in Carmel. Reba has been a full time professional Realtor since 1982 and a licensed Broker since 1987 working at Houlihan/Lawrence Realty in Somers. Reba was a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Westchester Association of Realtors, and the National Trust Historic Preservation Real Estate Programs. She was also a member of the Sogetsu Teachers Association with the Master Teacher Rank, Rigi. Reba was advisor to the Sogetsu Study Group of Dutchess, Putnam and Westchester Counties. A member and on the board of the New York Sogetsu Branch, member of New York Tikebana Chapter #7, member of the Wasetsu Study Group and the Brewster-Carmel Garden Club. Mrs. Dickinson is survived by her husband, George, her daughter, Maile Dickinson both of Waccabuc and her father Allison Bell of Pennsylvania. Also surviving are a sister, Mary Coblentz, and her brothers, Allison, Samuel, Reuben, and Ronald Bell, all of Pennsylvania. Visiting will be at Adams-Cordovano Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 12 noon with the Funeral Service at 12 noon. Interment at Raymond Hill Cemetery in Carmel. DISKIN, MARY MCKNIGHT - Mary Diskin McKnight , 90 died on January 22, 2001 at the United Presbyterian Home in Woodbury, NY. She was born on December 21, 1910 in Ballymore, Mullingar, County Westmeath, Ireland to George and Mary (McCauley) McKnight. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas F. Diskin. She is survived by her five sons Eugene of Jeffersonville, NY, Gerald of Manhasset, NY, Thomas of New Rochelle, NY, Patrick of San Diego, CA and George of Pelham, NY, 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, William McKnight of Bayside, NY and her sister Margaret Murphy of London, England. ENGLERT, MARY ELIZABETH - Mary Elizabeth Englert of Pearl River, NY, died January 21, 2001 at Nyack Hospital. She was a retired microbiologist at Lederle Laboratories where she was employed for 40 years. She was a parishioner of St. Margaret Roman Catholic Church. She was a volunteer for the Pearl River Meals on Wheels Program and had been active in the Literacy Volunteers of Rockland County. For several years she had been a Girl Scout Leader in Pearl River. Her lifelong interest in nature led her to travel to remote areas, at a time when few people visited Easter Island, the Canyon Lands of Utah, Africa, and the Galapagos. She was a golfer and enjoyed many years as a member of her bridge group. Ms. Englert attended Saint Patrick's Academy in Catskill and went to High School at the Convent of the Sacred Heart (Kenwood Academy) in Albany. She was a graduate in 1950 of the First Class of Newton College of the Sacred Heart. She worked at the Albany Medical Center before moving permanently to Pearl River. She was the eldest daughter of Dr. George Aegedius and Ellen Geraldine Murphy Englert of Catskill, who preceded her in death. She is also predeceased by two brothers, John Carlin Englert and Dr. Paul Dudley Englert. She is survived by three sisters, Ellen Louise Ozga of Washington, DC; Dorothea Ruth Ward of Silver Springs, MD, and Muriel Josephine Wieczynski of Sarasota, FL. She is also survived by three brothers, Dr. George Aegedius Englert of Poughkeepsie, William Gerard Englert, of Washington, DC, and Frederick Martin Englert of Summit, NJ. For over 40 years, she was devoted to her 24 nieces and nephews. She also has 18 grandnieces and nephews. Visitation and a prayer service will be held from 3-5 pm on Wednesday, January 24, at the Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home, Inc, in Pearl River. A Mass of celebration will be said at St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, Pearl River on Thursday, January 25, at 10 am.
