HILL, SADIE M. - Sadie M. Hill, a resident of New York City for 26 years, died on April 7, 2001. Born August 8, 1938 to Roosevelt and Mary Williams, she was a resident of New Rochelle for many years and a graduate of New Rochelle High School. Survivors include her devoted companion, Stanley Harris of New York City; four daughters, Montrose Hill of Oneonta, NY, Norma and Lolita Hill both of New York City and Franchone Hill of Butner, NC; three brothers, Fradzell, Wydell and Melvin Williams; four sisters, Hazel Murray, Marianne Pearson, Delilah Rashad; also nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visiting Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at Barney T. McClanahan Funeral Home, New Rochelle. Funeral service Wednesday, 11am in the Chapel. Interment Oakland Cemetery.

HILLIARD, PATRICK - Patrick Hilliard of Yonkers, NY departed this life on Wednesday, April 4, 2001. He was born June 24, 1970, son of Pamela Hilliard-Thompson and step-son of the late George Thompson. He graduated from Elmsford public schools. Patrick is survived by his mother, Pamela Hilliard-Thompson of Yonkers, NY, two sons, Patrick Hilliard, Jr., of Elmsford and Messiah Hilliard of Yonkers, NY, two sisters, Judy Livingstone and twin, Patricia Hilliard, both of Yonkers, NY, two aunts, Patricia Hilliard of Yonkers, NY and Peri Hilliard of Elmsford, NY, an uncle, Ulyesses Hilliard, Jr. of Atlanta, Ga, three great aunts and two great uncles. Patrick was predeceased by his grandparents, Ulyesses and Marguerite Hilliard of Elmsford, NY.

JAGELS, WILHELM - Wilhelm Jagels, a 40 year resident of Mt. Kisco died at his home on April 7, 2001. He was 85. Mr. Jagels was born October 31, 1915 in Germany. He was the youngest of eight brothers and sisters who predeceased him earlier. He was a self employed baker and was the owner of The Goody Shop in Mt. Kisco for 14 years. On April 19, 1936 he married his beloved wife Gretchen (nee Sohls) in Germany. She predeceased him in 2000. Beloved father of Helmut and the late Wilfriede, dear grandfather of Mark Jagels, Karla Lerma and Susanne Boegel. Also survived by six great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Oelker & Cox Funeral Home, Inc., 262 Main St. on Tuesday 6 to 9 pm (only). A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday 10 am at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Mt. JOHNSON, DEACON SCOTT - Deacon Scott Johnson, 77, died April 6, 2001 at United Hospital, Port Chester, NY. He retired from Gem Cleaners and Laundry, was a U.S. Army Veteran, World War II, and member of Union Baptist Church, New Rochelle, New York. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Tucker and Annie Johnson and brother, John T. Johnson. He is survived by three daughters, Sheila Barrett, New Rochelle, NY, Linda Lawson, Dayton, Ohio and Valerie Thomas, Columbus, Ohio., two sisters, Alease Davis of Mount Vernon, NY and Martha Walden of Farmville, VA. JOYNES, JR. (NYPD) - William A. Joynes, Jr., a native of Ossining, died Sunday, April 8, 2001. Willy was born in Sleepy Hollow, NY and is the son of William A. and Christine O‘Connor Joynes, he was 29. Will was a graduate of Ossining High School (1989) and attended SUNY Cobleskill. He was a Police Officer of the 28th Precinct of the N.Y.P.D. for seven years. Willy is survived by his parents, his grandmother, Mildred Joynes and two sisters, Kelly Passler and Jill C. LaRocque, his girlfriend, Ronni Becerra, loving uncle of Kirsten and Braden Passler. Many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive him. PANDOLFO, DANIELLE (NEE BARBER) - Danielle JoAnn Barber Pandolfo, a resident of Port Chester, died April 8, 2001. She was 31 and born February 23, 1969 in Port Chester to Charles M. Barber, Jr. and Lillian Ruta Barber. She was raised and educated in Greenwich, CT. She was a homemaker and was a parishioner of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Port Chester. She is survived by her daughter Gabrielle Nardone, parents Charles M. Barber, Jr. and Lillian Ruta Barber, maternal grandmother Josephine Ruta, sister Cheryl Costa, all of Port Chester, brother Charles M. Barber III of Highland, NY, nieces and nephews, Charles M. POLLINI, LOUIS C. - Louis C. Pollini of Sleepy Hollow, NY died April 7, 2001. He was 94. Mr. Pollini worked as a lifelong restaurateur for many restaurants and from 1961-1965 owned and operated Pollini‘s Restaurant, Arch Hill. Mr. Pollini was born September 26, 1906 in New York City to Celeste and Maranda Guerci Pollini. Raised in Giarola, Italy, Province of Lombargia, returning to New York at the age of 16 working in restaurants. On February 9, 1929 he married Elena Romangesi in Italy. He is survived by his wife of Sleepy Hollow, two sons Ronald of Hoover, AL and Charles of Southbury, CT, two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren. RICHARDSON, DAVID F. - David F. Richardson of Nanuet and Wantaugh, NY died April 7, 2001 at Northern Manor Nursing Home in Nanuet. David was a World War II Veteran of the United States Merchant Marine serving in the North Atlantic. He retired from the United States Post Office in Long Island and also from the Home Insurance Co. in New York City and was a member of the West Nyack Senior Citizen Club. He was predeceased by his wife, Lucille in 1990 and is survived by his sister and her husband, Margaret and Donald Minard; four nieces, Donna Avila, Nora Sullivan, Kathleen Crossley, Susanne Mitts and eleven grand nieces and nephews. VILATO, CATALINA - Catalina Vilato, a resident of Port Chester died April 7, 2001. She was 75 and born December 11, 1925 in Antilla, Cuba to the late Antonio and Feliberta Sanchez Bichara. She was raised and educated in Cuba and immigrated to the United States in 1962. Mrs. Vilato was a retired seamstress and had worked for Kay Chester Dress Co. in Port Chester. She was a parishioner of the Our Lady of Mercy Church. She is survived by her husband, Miguel Vilato of Port Chester, son, Miguel "Tony" Vilato of Yonkers, Robert "Bert" Vilato of Port Chester, brothers, Amado and Antonio Bichara of Miami, FL, Julio and Emilio Bichara of Cuba, sisters, Laudelina, Raquel and Celia Bichara of Cuba, Olga Bichara and Amelia Garcia of Miami, FL, grandchildren, Christopher, Lissette, Michael, Anthony, Robert, Erik and Lauren Vilato. ZIMMERMAN, TESSIE - Tessie Zimmerman, a Philadelphia native and long time Rockland resident passed away April 6, 2001 at Ramapo Manor Nursing Center. She was 94. She married her husband Dr. Charles Zimmerman on December 30, 1928. They resided in Philadelphia till 1976 then moved to Spring Valley. Dr. Zimmerman passed away in 1981 after 53 years of marriage. BOLSTER, THOMAS F. - Thomas F. Bolster of Yonkers, formerly of Kingsbridge Ave., Bronx, died April 6, 2001. He was 80. Son of the late Cornelius and Mary (nee Smith) Bolster, Tom was an engineer for St. Joseph‘s Medical Center in Yonkers, retiring in 1991. He was one of eight brothers who served in the armed forces during World War II. Beloved husband of the late Ann (nee Scepanski) who passed away in 1998. CAPPETTA, ROBERT - Robert Cappetta formerly of Harrison, NY passed away on Thursday August 9, 2001. He was the devoted son of the late Carmine and Eleanor Spizziro Cappetta. CAZZOLLA, JOHN - John Cazzolla, a lifelong resident of Yonkers, died on August 10, 2001. He was 86 years old. John was born on December 4, 1914 to Vito and Angelina Salome Cazzolla. He married the former Anna Kardash in St. Michael's Catholic Church in 1938. She survives. Mr. Cazzolla was employed as a Master Mechanic with Local 15 in NYC from 1936 to 1979. He was a member of Cardinal Hayes K of C #3995. John enjoyed his grandchildren, gardening and loved all his nieces and nephews. Beloved father of Arlene (Robert) Atkin and Dianne (Robert) Gianserra. CONNORS, WILLIAM F. - William F. Connors, Jr. of Yonkers and Irvington died Saturday, August 11, 2001 at age 53. Born on October 20, 1947 to William and Claire (Thomas) Connors in Yonkers where he was raised and graduated from Sacred Heart High School. Mr. Connors worked for the U.S. Post Office as a letter carrier out of their Centuck Station for over 21 years. He is survived by his father of Melbourne, FL; his daughter Erin of Yonkers; his son William Connors III; and his wife Karen (Balko) Connors. He is also survived by his brother Thomas of Sabattos, ME and his sister Maureen Bodck of Yonkers. William was a parishioner of Sacred Heart and a part-time musician. FAHEY, MARY MARGARET - Mary Margaret Fahey of Pearl River died Friday, August 10, 2001 at her home in Pearl River. She was 85. Mrs. Fahey worked as a Supervisor of Housekeeping for Rockland Psychiatric Center in Orangeburg, NY. She was with the Center for 30 years before retiring in 1980. Mrs. Fahey was born August 26, 1915 in Ogdensburg, NY, to Joseph and Helen Sovie Burns. She graduated from St. Mary's High School, Ogdensburg, NY, and she was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral. Mrs. Fahey lived in Pearl River for the past 41 years. Before that she lived in Ogdensburg, from 1915 to 1960. Locally she was a member of St. Aedan's Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Fahey of Pearl River and three sons, James of Chestnut Ridge, NY and Michael and John, both of Pearl River, NY, four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Harriet Marceau of Palm Harbor, FL, several nieces and nephews and sister-in-law in Arizona and sister-in-law Zaida Fahey. FIORE, ANTONETTE - Antonette Fiore, 98, former longtime resident of Eastchester died on August 11, 2001 at the Orange County Residential Health Care Facility in Goshen, NY. She was the widow of Michael Fiore who taught at Tuckahoe High School for many years. She is survived by two daughters, Anne Carlson and Florence Longo, and two sisters Mafalda Ajello and Ellen Romano. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Cheryl Mitchell, Judy Carlson, Laurel Petrizzo and Michael Longo and five great grandchildren, Michelle and Joanna Longo, Joseph, Katherine and Cara Petrizzo. GUZMAN, JUAN "PETE" - Juan Guzman of Congers, NY, died at his home with family by his side on Saturday, August 11, 2001, he was 64. Juan was born on February 8, 1937 in Puerto Rico to Jose and Josefina Guzman. Juan owned and operated P&E Auto Service in Congers. The family would like to express their gratitude to all the friends, family, United Hospice and Dr. Radar for all the help and comfort they were extended. Pete is survived by his wife of 35 years Evelyn, his children Angelina and her husband Randy Glass of Florida, Josephine and her husband Edward Amato of Kansas, Peter of Long Island and Racquel of Congers, four grandsons, seven brothers and sisters and many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive him. Friends may call Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the T. J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home, Congers. Juan's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 am in St. Paul's Church in Congers. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Rockland Lake. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are being requested to be made to United Hospice of Rockland, Stokum Road, New City, NY, 10956 in Juan's memory. T.J.
