McTAGUE, LOIS T. (Lolo), of New Rochelle, died August 8, 2008, at age 71, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Lois was a teacher for 42 years, 38 of which were spent at PS 106 in the Bronx.
She was a member of the Larchmont Shore Club and a parishioner of Holy Family Church.
Lois loved her work, her friends, and above all, her family.
She is survived by her son Lawrence III and his wife Holly, and her daughter Madelyn Castagna and her husband Gil.
She was also a loving grandmother to six granddaughters, Christin, Lindsay, Brittany, Jeannie, Ireland and Jameson and a step-grandson Brian.
Visitation Tuesday August 12th 2-4 & 7-9 at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass Wednesday 9:30am Holy Family Church followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

MILES, CARMELLA ROSE, of Mamaroneck, died August 26, 2008 at age 83.
Born November 26, 1924 to Natale & Mary Casterella.
A devoted homemaker, she is the beloved wife of the late Clarence Miles.
She was an avid gardener and was very active with Al-Anon.
Cherished mother of Rosemary Lefflbine, Joanne Chrzescijanek, and the late Betty Jean Varone.
Loving grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of 9.
Dear sister of Theresa DeLeo, Mary Corsi and the late, Anthony, John, Gabriele, Natale, Orlando Casterella and Lena Ciancio.

MOONEY, JOHN J. 62, lost his courageous battle with lung cancer on August 7, 2008.
He was born on January 11, 1946 in the Bronx.
Jack resided in Dutchess County for fifteen years before finding his way to Harrison, NY for the past twenty years.
The son of the late Thomas and Mary Ita Mooney, he is survived by his children; Christopher Mooney of New York, NY, Kerrianne Hammond, her husband Jeff of Hyde Park, NY, Jennifer Pessetto and her husband Peter of Raleigh, NC and his cherished grandchildren Jake and Kamryn Hammond.
Brothers James and William, sisters Peggy, Eileen, and Marianne, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive him.
His brothers Thomas and Daniel predecease him.
"A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served with the Seabees and did tours in Antarctica, Spain, Korea and Vietnam.
He was a current member of the VFW Post 3047.
Jack retired as a sales executive for AT&T after 31 years and has been a proud member of the Fleet Pump & Service Group in Harrison, NY for the last ten years.
He was also a volunteer fireman at the New Hackensack firehouse in Dutchess County.
However, the job he enjoyed most was his ‘guest’ bartending at Gus’s Restaurant in Harrison, NY where he was loved and adored by many.
Jack was an avid NY Yankee, NY Ranger and NY Giant fan.
He also enjoyed traveling, especially to Ireland, Germany, Italy, England and a very special trip to Normandy, France.
He always looked forward to his summer trip to Saratoga Springs for the past several years.
Jack will be missed by all with whom he shared his love and friendship.
We love you Jack –“Sláinte! Bye, Good!”
Visitation Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass Monday 11am at Resurrection Church in Rye, NY.
Committal will be private.

O’KEEFE, DENNIS, of Larchmont, passed away January 6, 2009 at age 95.
Born December 12, 1913 in Manhattan to Michael& Catherine O’Keefe.
A Major in the Army during WWII, Dennis was stationed in Iran.
While serving, Dennis was responsible for running a port that supplied materials to the Russians.
He went on to become an Executive for General Motors Overseas Division and he was also an avid golfer.
Dennis is the beloved husband of the late Helen Elizabeth O’Keefe.
survived by his loving children, Dennis O’Keefe, Michael O’Keefe (wife Fe), and Erin O’Keefe (husband Christopher McCready), grandchildren, Kathleen, Patrick, Thomas, and Lauren O’Keefe and Nora & Aidan McCready and siblings, John O’Keefe, Elizabeth Nolan, and Frances Dervin.
He is predeceased by his brothers Fr. Tom O’Keefe and Bishop Joe O’Keefe.

O’LEARY, MARY T., (nee Walsh), of Mamaroneck, died peacefully in her sleep on August 6, 2008.
Born November 16, 1920 in Co. Claire, Ireland to Anne and Michael Walsh.
Emigrated to the United States in 1950.
married Henry Chapin in 1962, who died in 1968.
She later married Cornelius O’Leary in 1975, who later passed away in 2004.
She is survived by her sisters, Sr. Mary Lelia, Eileen Haines, Peg Neehan, Bernadette McGee and brothers, Martin Walsh, Jack Walsh, Pat Walsh.
Predeceased by brothers Michael & Morgan Walsh.
She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
Mary was a kind, and loving nurse in England during WWII and continued her career in NY & CT.
She was an active parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church.
Visitation Friday 2-4 & 7-9 at the funeral home.

PAGANO, ROSE, of Mamaroneck, died December 27, 2008 at age 87.
Born in Greenwich, CT on June 9, 1921 to Giuseppe & Maria Strazza.
She was a garment worker for many years with Happiness Laundry in Mamaroneck and a member of the Laundry Workers Union.
Rose was a proud 25 year member of the Mamaroneck Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and was also a member of the Columbiettes.
She is the beloved wife of the late Anthony Pagano.
survived by her devoted sons, Anthony Pagano (wife MaryAnn) and Donald Pagano (wife Debbie), loving grandchildren, Anthony, Jennifer, Joseph, David and Jessie, and dear siblings, Rocco & Joseph Strazza and Patricia Vanech.
Predeceased by siblings, Thomas Strazza, Angie Ciccone and Kathy Iverson.

PALERMITI, DOMENICO of Mamaroneck on December 10, 2008 at age 82.
Mr. Palermiti was born in Gioiosa Iniica, Italy on May 30, 1927 to Salvatore and Rosa (Mazzaferro).
He worked at a laborer and landscaper.
Beloved husband of Maria Teresa (Luca) Cherished father of Maria (husband Vincenzo) Salubro and Rosa (husband Consolato) Crea, devoted grandfather of John and Vincent and loving brother to the late Rocco, Francesco, Saverio and Marianna Angeletta.

PANTORE, DOLORES, of New Rochelle, passed away June 11, 2008 at age 66.
Born July 11, 1941 to Harold & Rita Pontez.
A devoted homemaker, she is the beloved wife of Patrick Pantore.
The cherished mother of Dennis Pantore (Linda), Glenn Pantore (Diana), Joseph Pantore, Thomas Pantore and Elizabeth DiBiccari (Michael).
Loving grandmother of Glenn Jr, Gina Marie, Bobby, Patrick and Christopher.
Dear sister of Thomas Pontez, Joni Horboychuk and the late Harold Pontez.

PARANDELIS, ROBERT MICHAEL, a Larchmont resident, was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 8, 1928.
He entered into eternal life on Dec. 31, 2008.
He is the loving husband of ( Chaplain) Rosemary Parandelis, father of Raina (Keith) Ranaghan, and Dr. Rhea (Craig) Johnson, brother of Mrs. Gladys Johnson, grandfather of Emma Rose, Colum, Silas and Rosario.
He is the uncle to many loving nieces and nephews and is survived by many cousins.
Robert M. Parandelis was a former Marine, fashion photographer, manager of paperback books at Dimonstein Books in New Rochelle, and a quality control inspector for J.C. Penney.
For many years he sang in the choirs of both Sts. John and Paul, and St. Augustine Churches.

PIRRO, CAROLINE M., of Rye, passed away April 11, 2008 at age 88.
Born December 1, 1919 in Mt. Vernon to Antonio & Vincenza (Barletta) Petrillo.
She was a member of the Columbiettes as well as the Rye Seniors.
A devoted homemaker, she is the beloved wife of the late Albert J. Pirro.
Caroline is survived by her cherished children, Albert J. Pirro Jr (wife Jeanine) of Rye, Anthony G. Pirro (wife Donna) of South Salem and Denise Pirro Sanmartino (late husband Arthur) of Rye Brook.
Dear sister of James Petrillo and loving grandmother of Christy, Alex, Brittany and Emily.

PROTANO, DONATO “DAN”, on October 14, 2008 at age 90.
Born in Rocca Secca, Italy on January 31, 1918.
He served in the Army during WWII where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
For many years he worked in Auto Body Repair and was the proprietor of Dan’s Auto Body.
He was a charter member and past president of the Alessandro Manzoni Lodge of the Sons of Italy, a second home to Dan.
He was also a member of VFW Post 1156.
Dan is the beloved husband of Pia (DeCarolis).
In addition to his wife he is survived by his cherished daughters, Marie Margiotta (husband Philip) and JoAnn Yanaros (husband Marcus), grandchildren, Philip Jr. (wife Jan) and Bianca Margiotta, great grandchildren, Zachary, Luke & Catherine.
Visitation Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767E. Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck.
Funeral Mass Saturday 10am St. Gregory the Great RC Church followed by entombment at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

RAPAGLIA, STEPHEN PAUL, a Rye resident, died sadly on November 18, 2008 at age 59.
Born September 21, 1949 to Joseph & Jean Rapaglia.
Stephen worked as a chauffeur.
He is survived by his beloved father, Joseph, cherished sons, Joseph Rapaglia (wife Karla), and Stephen Rapaglia, dear grandson, Carmine, and loving brothers, William Rapaglia (wife Gloria), Richard and Carl Rapaglia.
Also survived by his former wife, Jean Bances and many loving nieces & nephews.
He is predeceased by his mother, Jean and his brother Joseph.
Visitation Thursday evening (11/20) 5-9pm.
Funeral Mass Friday 10am at Resurrection Church followed by interment.

RIVALSI, ARMAND RAYMOND, formerly of Throggs Neck, The Bronx and New Rochelle, died September 26, 2008, at age 95.
Born May 14, 1913 in Manhattan to Albert and Tina (Bertuzzi) Rivalsi.
He grew up in Throggs Neck and attended PS 14 and James Monroe High School.
In 1936 he married Isabelle (Nelson), also from Throggs Neck.
She predeceased him.
He spent his last days at home with his son, Gerald and daughter-in-law, Susan (Statkowski).
He followed in his father’s footsteps working in the field of construction and becoming a member of the Cement Masons Union Local 780 which he was part of until his death.
Early in his construction career he helped build the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, and Rockefeller Center including Radio City Music Hall.
He then founded Rivalsi Paving Corporation, serving residential and commercial customers in Westchester and the Bronx.
He was honored that his company was hired to lay the concrete pad on which Olin Stephens-designed Americas Cup racing yachts were built at Minneford Yard on City Island.
In addition to Gerald and Susan, Armand is survived by his grandson, Steven and his wife Philomena, great granddaughter Isabella, soon to be born second great grandchild and many family and friends.
He is predeceased by siblings, George and Walter Rivalsi, Anita Golden and Flo Cahill.
Visitation Saturday & Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 at the funeral home.
Family & friends may gather at the funeral home Monday at 9:30am to follow in procession to Gate of Heaven Cemetery where a Mass will be celebrated followed by entombment.

RONAGHAN, ARTHUR FRANCIS Jr., formerly of Mamaroneck, died February 8, 2008 in Malone, NY where he had been living for several years.
He was 82.
Born April 16, 1925 to Arthur Francis & Florence Ronaghan Sr.
Arthur served in the Navy during WWII.
He was the Vice President of Bekins Van Lines, a moving & storage company.

Arthur was a member of American Legion Post 90 where he served as Commander in 1963.
He was also the owner and operator of Ronaghan’s Greenhaven Delicatessen.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Angela, and cherished children, Stephen Ronaghan, Arthur Ronaghan III and Stephanie Fasolino and grandchildren, Christopher Fasolino and Jeffrey Ronaghan.
Predeceased by siblings, Walter Ronaghan and Dorothy Ronaghan.
Visitation Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 at the funeral home.

SANTANGELO, CARMEN “RED”, died November 20, 2008 at age 82.
Born January 20, 1926, he was a longtime resident of Mamaroneck and he was loved by everyone in his community.
Carmen was a WWII Veteran serving in the Navy.
He is survived by Paula Santangelo, his five children, Charlene Farrell, Denise Anderson, Charles Santangelo, John Santangelo and James Santangelo, three sisters, Mary Fiore Naccarrato, Ida Santangelo, Pauline Forsellino, brother Larry Santangelo, and grandchildren, Frank Anderson, Dennis Farrell and Melinda Farrell-McCann.
Visitation Sunday 4-8pm at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767E. Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck. 914-698-5968.

SANTORSOLA, BARBARA, of Mamaroneck and Newport, RI on Friday, September 27, 2008, at home surrounded by he adoring family and friends.
Barbara was the daughter of the late Basil and Jennie (Ranilla) DeVito.
Barbara graduated from St. Gabriel’s High School.
She received an Associate Degree from Elizabeth Seton College, a Bachelors Degree from Marymount Manhattan College, and Masters Degrees in Multicultural Education and Teaching from Iona College.
She was a dedicated elementary school teacher, her career spanned 26 years at Blessed Sacrament, St. Gregory the Great, Saints John and Paul and most recently the George M. Davis School in New Rochelle.
Barbara married Richard Santorsola on June 6, 1972 at Blessed Sacrament Church in New Rochelle.
She was a communicant of Most Holy Trinity Parish.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Richard and her three sons: Mathew R. Santorsola and his wife Angela and their daughters Carli and Haily of Seattle, Washington; Jeffrey P. Santorsola of Chicago, Illinois and Army Captain Gregory T. Santorsola and his wife Kelli of South Hadley, Mass. She is also survived by her siblings Rita (DeVito) Flynn of Ormond Beach, Florida, Michael DeVito of Pelham, Janet DeVito of New Rochelle, and Basil V. DeVito Jr. of Weston Ct. and many loving nieces and nephews and cousins.
Barbara was blessed with several lifelong friendships that she enjoyed since her earliest grade school days.
She was extremely proud of her devoted sons and their accomplishments.
Matthew, a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, served nine years in the service and was a veteran of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
Jeffrey graduated Iona College and has a successful career in television and sales in Chicago and Gregory, a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point.
He currently serves as a captain in the Army and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and the recipient of the Bronze Star for his service.
Barbara was both proud and energized by the many students she mentored over the years in the class room.
She never tired of seeing them as they grew up and reconnecting with them and their lives.
