William Paul Wadelton, Jr., fondly called Duke by his family and friends, of Bronxville, died on March 16, 2010. Bill died with courage, grace and dignity after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease. He died in the family atmosphere of Glen Island Care Center in New Rochelle where he was lovingly cared for. Bill was born on March 11, 1937 to the late Marion and William P. Wadelton Sr. he was predeceased by his sister Mary Catherine Donohue who died in 1988. He served with the US Navy, aboard the USS the Sullivans DD-375 in 1956 and 1957. Bill was associated with Joyce Beverages for 25 years and later with the Westchester County Board of Elections, retiring in 2004. He is survived by his wife, the former Patricia Manning whom he married in 1958. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews including Anne Penachio and Frank Malara, Micaela, Careth Jamie, and Caitlin Donohue; Trish, Pamela and Julie Manning and several grand nieces and nephews. The funeral service was held on Friday March 19th at WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER, at 10:30 AM. Burial followed at Beechwoods cemetery, New Rochelle. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute to the St. John’s Wilmot Church, 11 Wilmot Road, New Rochelle, NY. 10804

Tanis Donna Lefer

November 13, 1960 - March 16, 2010

Tanis Donna Lefer, 49, of Tuckahoe. She was born on November 13, 1960. After a horrific three year war with adrenocortical cancer, Tanis lost her final battle on March 16, 2010. Beloved wife of George, Cherished mother of Melissa, Elisabeth and James. Cherished daughter of Rita and the late Donald E. Murray, and sister of Susan Cole. She is survived by her mother in law Pat Lefer, brothers in law Angelo Lefer and James Cole, her nieces Corinne and Jaclyn Cole, and her nephews Matthew and Andrew Lefer. Tanis was an active member of the Greek church and involved in many church and community activities. She will be remembered with love and sorely missed by all. The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER Thursday from 6-9 PM. Service at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church on Friday March 19 at 10 AM . Leonard A. Ciccone, 91, of Eastchester, died on March 17, 2010. Beloved husband of Virginia. Loving father of Leonard Ciccone, and Gerald (Dorothy) Ciccone. Cherished grandfather of William Ciccone. Dear brother of Anthony, and the late Michael. Leonard served in the US Army during WWII and was a POW. The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. Albert Thomas Hayduk, Jr., “Albie”, age 80, died at home after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family. Husband of Diane “Didi” for 55 years. Loving father of Albert Thomas Hayduk, III and his wife Maryann, Beverly Davis and her husband Mark, Christopher Hayduk, and Amy Dymystryshyn and her husband Michael. Brother of Robert, Richard and his wife Josephine, and the late Deborah Cohan. Cherished grandfather of Meredith, Natalie, Jessica, Michael, T.J., Erik, Marshall, Mark, and Kelly.
Albie was a member of many service groups and always interested in politics. He loved the Mets and all the sports teams at Syracuse University, his alma mater, where he was on the crew team. He then served in the US Army in the Counter Intelligence Corps from 1952-1954. Boating was his passion at Shenorock Shore Club. He was an executive in the Linen Supply Industry and owner of Hayduk Linen Supply.

The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER ,Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday March 25, at St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville at 10 AM. Cremation to follow at Ferncliff Crematory. Friends who wish may contribute to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Joseph E. DiFlora, 75, of Eastchester, NY passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010 in Springhill, Florida. He was born in NYC. Joe was an engineer and retired from Bayer Corporation in Tarrytown, NY after 43 years of service where he was awarded numerous patents for the company. A U.S. Army veteran he served two tours of duty as an aerial photo analyst in the 1950’s and in the 1960’s. Joe was active in the local chapter of the American Legion. His many interests included photography, painting, woodworking as well as various other hobbies. Joe is survived by his companion of many years, Joan Coughlin of Eastchester, NY; his brother Frank and wife Ginny of Woodcliff Lake, NJ; nephews Steve and wife Cheryl, Danny and wife Gina; grandson Michael; grandnieces Amanda, Alyssa and Gianna. A Memorial Visitation will be held at WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, Inc. 190 Main St., Eastchester, NY 10709 on Friday, March 26, 2010 from 2-4, and 7-9PM. A Memorial Mass to follow on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Tuckahoe at 9:30AM. In lieu of flowers, family is requesting donations be made in memory of Joeseph DiFlora to the American Legion Leroy Gregory Post #979, 40 Bell Rd., Scarsdale, NY 10583, for the scholarship fund.

Warren served with the Marine Corps in WW II and was a Past Master of the Corinthian Architect Lodge in New York City. Prior to his retirement he was an Advertising Sales Executive for several magazines in New York City. Warren was a member of St. John’s Tuckahoe Episcopal Church. Patrica "Pat" M. (nee Billings) Tween, 74, a resident of Naples, FL and long-time resident of Eastchester, NY died on Saturday January 9, 2010. She passed away in her sleep at home, after a long illness. Pat Tween is survived by her husband of 53 years, Laurence E. Tween; five children, Douglas, Brian, Brendan, Heather and Alex; five granddaughters, Catherine, Olivia, Lucy, Maggie and Hannah; and they will never forget what a wonderful mother and grandmother she was. Pat was born to William and Elizabeth (nee McCourt) Billings on September 8, 1935 in New Rochelle, NY. She lived her entire life in Westchester County until relocating to Naples, FL twelve years ago. She graduated from New Rochelle High School and worked as a Stenographer for the FBI and an executive secretary for County Trust Bank in White Plains, NY. Pat's husband, children, and granddaughters were her greatest loves. She dedicated herself to her family and friends. She will be remembered as an avid tennis player, fierce bridge competitor, lover of the theater and philharmonic, joyful, generous, kind and compassionate. She was a "second mother" to many of her children's friends and her home was open to everyone. She was passionate about sports and loved to attend the US Open and NY Mets games. "We will all miss her and her kindness, wisdom and wonderful sense of humor." A memorial service was held in FL in January. A memorial mass Saturday May 1st at 10 AM at St. Joseph's Church, Bronxville. Interment of cremains to follow at Sleepy Hollow cemetery.
