Geryll Naundorf Norris
Geryll Naundorf Norris died Oct. 22, 2006 at Unity Hospital in Greece.
Mrs. Norris was born in Maryville, Tenn., the daughter of Charles H. Naundorf III and Doris Smith Naundorf of West Bloomfield. She moved as a young child to Rochester. She was a graduate of West Irondequoit High School where she was "The Story Lady" on the school's WIRQ radio station and a member of the Thespians. She attended Monroe Community College and SUNY at Geneseo, later working at Western Temporary Services as a placement and scheduling coordinator of nursing staff.
A gifted writer and photographer, Mrs. Norris served in a number of capacities helping community and social causes. At Unity Living Center, fellow patients and staff members remember her as "cheerfully determined."
She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel M. Norriss. She is survived by her sisters, Judith Klejment, Claire Streb and Lisa Taylor-Austin; nieces Courtney and Erin Streb and Holly Klejment; several cousins; many friends at her Mendon church and Unity Living Center, St. Mary's Campus in Rochester.
A memorial service of celebration was held at Mendon Presbyterian Church. Memorial gifts in her name may be sent to the Mendon Church Building Fund, 936 Cheese Factory Road, PO Box 188, Mendon, NY 14506.
Florence B. Skelton
Florence B. Skelton died died Monday, Sept. 4, 2006 in Heathsville, Va. at the age of 93.
Born Oct. 6, 1912, in Huntington, Long Island, the youngest of four girls, she was know as "Babe" by her oldest friends.
Mrs. Skelton was a graduate of Connecticut College in New London and received a master's degree at Columbia University where she met her husband, Robert M. Skelton. Both taught art and following marriage, lived near the campus of Greensboro Women's College, N.C. The couple later moved to Brockport where Mr. Skelton joined the faculty at the SUNY College at Brockport and Mrs. Skelton eventually resumed her teaching career. She had moved to Virginia in 1997.
Mrs. Skelton is remembered for her voracious reading and love of travel which came from a deep interest in people, history and the world.
Mrs. Skelton is survived by her children, Rick Skelton of Heathsville, Anne Cook of Lancaster Courthouse, Va., Lynn Brown of Winston-Salem, N.C., Susan Skelton of Berlin, Germany and their families, including 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert M. and son, Robert Jr.
Mrs. Skelton's memorial service is at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5 at First Presbyterian Church, 45 State St., Brockport. Donations in her name may be made to the Robert M. Skelton Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund for Criminal Justice, MCC Foundation Inc., 228 East Main St., Rochester, NY 14604.
Norma M. Boughton
Norma M. Boughton, 71, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006 at her home in Ontario, N.Y. She was born June 12, 1935 in Rushville, N.Y. to Harold and Eleanor Wyman Gage. She was a 1954 graduate of Wayne Central High School, Ontario, N.Y. She was married
to Robert Boughton on Jan. 10, 1957 in Webster, N.Y. In 1963, they purchased a home on Slocum Road in Ontario, N.Y.
Mrs. Boughton was self-employed, doing office cleaning and custodial work in the Ontario area.
She is predeceased by her husband, Robert. She is survived by her son, Daniel (Silbhan) Boughton; 5 grandchildren, Samuel, Nikolas, Genevieve, Christopher and Emily; 3 sisters, Doris Callipare, Trudy Sarazyn and Jean (Nelson) Maracle; sister-in-law, Jean Gage; nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Leland J. Carlson officiated at the funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 at the Willard H. Scott Funeral Home. Interment was at the Furnaceville cemetery, Ontario, N.Y. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
Margaret E. Coler
Margaret E. Coler, 83, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006 at Rochester General Hospital. She was born Jan. 7, 1923 in Springfield, Mass. to Frank and Agatha Tolli Principino.
Mrs. Coler was a self-employed seamstress, specializing in drapery-and curtain-making for families in the Rochester area. Her retirement years were happily spent with her many friends at Quimby Apartment in Webster, N.Y. Her favorite pastimes were reading, doing puzzles and participating in the community activities at Quimby Apartments. She enjoyed a deep faith in the Lord and is now resting in His presence.
She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony R. Coler, daughter, Eva Joyce Hart and son, Robert A. Coler. She is survived by her daughters, Margaret (Curt) Wright and Anne (Martin) Rogers, both of Fairport, N.Y.; her daughter-in-law, Margaret Coler of Latham, N.Y.; son-in-law, Raymond Hart of East Greenbush, N.Y.; her thirteen grandchildren; Margaret (Rick) Molica of Chicago, Ill., Richard (Debi) Altemari, Jr. of Chili, N.Y., Robert (Dolores) Altemari of Atlanta, Ga, Stacey Altemari of Chicago, Ill., Elizabeth (Stephen) Valentine of Fairport, N.Y., Diane (Donald) Stillman of Redonda Beach, Calif., Daniel Coler of Baltimore, Md., Robert (Joann) Coler of Greenville, S.C., Maureen Coler of Salem, Mass., Kathleen Coler of Salisbury, Md., Daniel (Sheri) Hart of Troy, N.Y., James (Patty) Hart of Troy, N.Y. and Ronald Hart of Troy, N.Y. She joyfully was a part of her nine great-grandchildren�s lives. She is also survived by her sister, Lee Ryan of Clifton Park, N.Y. and Several nieces and nephews.
Friends were received Tuesday, Oct. 17 at the Willard H. Scott Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18 at St. John of Rochester Church, Fairport, N.Y. Interment was at Holy Sepulchre cemetery, Rochester, N.Y.
Beatrice Gnage Eisman
Beatrice Gnage Eisman, 73, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006 at the Pines of Peace Comfort Care Home in Ontario, N.Y.
She was born June 4, 1933 in Webster, N.Y. to John and Victoria Szymusiak Gnage. She was a 1953 graduate of Webster High School. She was married
to Richard A. Eisman May 28, 1955 at Holy Trinity Church, Webster, N.Y. In 1958 the couple built a home on Orchard Street in Webster. Mr. Eisman died in 1995.
Mrs. Eisman was a retired deputy tax receiver for the town of Webster. Prior to starting her family, she had worked at Eastman Kodak. She was active with the Webster Democratic Committee, Rochester Women�s Choral Club and Cottreall-Warner American Legion Post Auxiliary. She enjoyed boating and was a member of Pultneyville Yacht Club. In her free time, she made watercolor paintings of flowers, worked on word search puzzles and enjoyed family activities.
She is predeceased by her husband, Richard; son, Gerald; and grandson, Patrick Cowan. She is survived by 3 children, Richard (Mary) and Mark (Lynne) Eisman, Sheri (Richard) Cowan; grandchildren, Chad and Amanda Eisman, Jen and Chris Cowan, Tim (Krissy) Testa, Amanda and Ryan Keller; 2 great-grandsons, Tim and Jordan Testa; brother, John �Eddie� Gnage; nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Friends were received Sunday, Oct. 15 at the Willard H. Scott Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16 at Holy Trinity Church, Webster. Lois Lane Carlson
Lois Lane Carlson, 79, died Oct. 2, 2006 at her home in South Wellfleet, Mass., after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Arnold T. Carlson, a retired Pittsford School District administrator. The pair were married
54 years.
A former resident of East Rochester and Pittsford, Mrs. Carlson was a secretary at the University of Rochester, and then a manager at Sibley's department store. She retired in 1981 and was the registrar of voters for the Town of Wellfleet for several years. She advocated for community issues and volunteered for state, regional, and local cancer groups. Mrs. Carlson was also an accomplished artist.
She is survived by her husband, Arnold T. Carlson; her three children, Scott D. (Stephen) Koziol of Silver Springs Md., Arnold S. Carlson of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Skye L. (Razz) Green of Brewster, Mass.; 10 grandchildren, Susan S. Kosmala, Jennifer L. McGuire, Jeremy S. Koziol, Ryan Damon, TyErik, Imani, Razz Tr�, Angelique, Soleil and Tarris Green; and three great-grandchildren, Sage and Owen Kosmala and Ryan Dasan Green. Also surviving are two step-granddaughters, Natasha Snow and Champagne Singleton, and their four children, of Rochester, N.Y.

Carl T. Marinelli
Carl T. Marinelli, 82, of Sarasota, Fla. died Oct. 30, 2006. Mr. Marinelli was born Dec. 22, 1923 in East Rochester, N.Y., and moved to Sarasota in 1943. He was self-employed and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a Catholic and a founding member of Bent Tree Country Club and the Manasota Lighthouse for the Blind, and the Blind Veterans Association. He is survived by his wife, Marian; daughters, Colleen McAdoo, Pamela Jones and Candace Marinelli-Haworth, all of Sarasota; son C. Thomas of Parrish and David McGahen of Port St. Lucie; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held at noon, Nov. 9, 2006 at Church of the Incarnation. Robarts Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Lighthouse for the Blind, 7318 Tamiami Trail N., Sarasota, Fla., 34243.
Paul D. Scott
Paul D. Scott died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006 in Haines City, Fla. at the age of 90.
Born in Chili, Mr. Scott was a licensed funeral director employed 47 years at Corbett Funeral Home in Rochester. He was a 60 year member of International Brotherhood of Magicians and enjoyed ice skating, magic and music.
Mr. Scott is survived by his wife, Genevieve Glasow Scott; daughters, Sharon Wells and Paulette (James) Comparato; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Mr. Scott's funeral follows visiting from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19 at Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home, 2771 Chili Ave. Interment is in Holy Sepulchre cemetery.
Memorials in his name may be made to Sisters of Mercy in Rochester.
Michael T. Ford
Michael T. Ford died Friday, Oct. 6, 2006.
Mr. Ford is survived by his wife, Donna; children, Brian and Gregory of Raleigh, N.C., Matthew of New York City; step-children, Kwan and Sharifa; grandchildren, Sarah and Jonathan Ford; sister, Barbara Pope; nieces including Suzanne (Brett) Scherrer; nephews and dear friend, Wendy Ford of Raleigh.
Mr. Ford's funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 10 at St. Helen's Church. Interment was in Grove Place cemetery.
