ROSE B. PALMERI
Shortsville - Rose B. Palmeri, 74, died Saturday (Feb. 8, 2003) at Clifton Springs Hospital. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday (Feb. 12) at St. Dominic Church in Shortsville, celebrated by the Rev. John F. Gagnier. Sainsbury Funeral Home, 78 W. Main St. in Shortsville held viewing hours on Tuesday, Feb. 11.
Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Dominic Church, Shortsville Ambulance or to Order of the Carmelites.
Mrs. Palmeri was a member of St. Dominic Church in Shortsville, a member of the Lay Order of the Carmelites, and was active in the prayer groups of St. Dominic church and St. Mary's Church of Waterloo.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Teresa) Palmeri and Peter (Susan) Palmeri; two daughters, Kathleen (Frank) Penicelli and Christine (Christopher) Schaefer; two brothers, Sam and James Provenzano; one sisters, Prudence Camarado, all of Rochester; 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Peter R. Palmeri.
MARGARET C. DUNHAM
PHELPS - Margaret C. Dunham, 81, of 1148 Route 96, loving wife, mother and grandmother, died peacefully Wednesday (Feb. 12, 2003) at the Clifton Springs Hospital, in the presence of family members. Calling hours were held on Friday (Feb. 14) from 4 to 7 pm at the Cheney Funeral Home, 70 Main St., Phelps. Funeral Services were held on Saturday (Feb. 15) at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Shirley Filatreau officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn cemetery in the spring.
Mrs. Dunham was born Nov. 18, 1921, in Tyre, the daughter of James and Lena Baker Clark. She was a member of the Geneva VFW Post 2670 Ladies Auxiliary and the Seeley b. Parrish American Legion Pos6t 457 Ladies Auxiliary. She was past regent of the Women of the Moose.

She is survived by her husband, Richard L. Dunham; children Alan (Patty) Dunham, Nancy (Dave) Osborne, Kathie (Jim) Lyons, Patti (Frank) Guererri, Marge (Ed) Fuller and Rick (Terry) Dunham; grandchildren, Jim (Tracey) and Tim (Donna) VanDamme, Scott (Nick), Larry (Heather) and Rosemary Guererri, Stacey (Tim) Riemer and Deanna Opdyke, Julie (Scott) Morgan and Todd Gurak; great-grandchildren; Jeremy, Erika, Daniel, Megan, Robie, Janelle, McKala Guererri, Jacob, Matthew, Zachary VanDamme, Zachary Dorr, Sidney Riemer and Logan Gurak; sisters, Daisy Ross, Charlotte (Skip) Alexander, Rocky Clark and Lewis (Hazel) Clark; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her bothers, Francis and Clarence; sisters, Dorothy Jenkins, Elsie Schleman, Velma Madigan and Gertrude Brinkerhoff; and great-grandson, Trevor VanDamme.
GERALD F. HEUSLER
PHELPS - Gerald F. Heusler, 87, of Ontario Street, passed away Saturday (Feb. 8, 2003) at home after a long illness. Rev. Dennis Christianson and Rev. Albert Kamm officiated services held on Wednesday (Feb. 12) at St. Patrick's Funeral Home, 26 W. Main St., Clifton Springs. Interment will be in Riverview cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Friends may contribute in his memory to the First Baptist Church of Clifton Springs, to the House of John or to the Phelps Fire Department Ambulance Fund.
Gerald was born Nov. 4, 1915, in Geneva, the son of Frederick and Hazel Francis Heusler, and had lived in the area all of his life. Gerald had been a member of the Operating Engineers Local 832 of Rochester from 1942 to 1977. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Gerald was a life member of Cowanesque Valley Rod and Gun Club, a life member of Seneca Lakes Duck Hunters Association Inc., a member of the Big M Game club, North America fishing Club, Bass anglers and the NRA. He was also a member of Moose Lodge 1283.
Gerald is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor, of Phelps; children, Lonnie (George) Lincoln of Clifton Springs, Gerald (Linda) Heusler Jr. of Penn Yan, Phillip (Linda) Heusler of Maine, Sandi(James) Gschwend of Florida, Raymond (Louise) Heusler of Phelps and Irene (Peter) Bessey of Clifton Springs; stepchildren, Brian (Karen) Bremer of Clifton Springs, Alan (Sue) Bremer of Canandaigua, Kevin (Anne) Bremer of Elmira, Maren (Ken) Bellinger of Michigan, Gary (Anne) Bushman of South Carolina, Shirley (Rick) Sherman of Hilton, Curtis Porter of North Carolina and Marial Ophardt o Hilton; brother, Donald (Marge) Heusler of Waterloo; sisters, Beatrice Smith of Rochester, Dorothy Chambers of Texas, Rosemarie Barrett of Connecticut and Jean (Jim) Kelly of Mississippi; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 22 step grandchildren; 21 step great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
PAULINE K. JOHNSON
PHELPS - Pauline K. Johnson, 89, of 122 Clifton St. died Wednesday (Feb. 5, 2003) at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital. There were no prior calling hours. Services and interment will be at the convenience of the family in Resthaven cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson was born April 25, 1913 in Clifton Springs, the daughter of the late Camiel and Angelina VanDemortal Raes. She retired from G. W. Lisk in 1978.
She is survived by her daughter, Elaine (Ronald) Bliek of Marion; son, Lee (Margaret) Johnson of Phelps; grandchildren, Ronnie Lloyd Bliek of Fairport, Michael Bliek of Marion, and Tracy (John) Pagliuso of Marion; great=granddaughter, Brook Elaine Pagliuso; grandson, Fred (Lori) Johnson of Seneca Castle; great grandchildren, Krista, Kerri and Benjamin Johnson; granddaughter Kathy (John) Duchesne of Phelps; great-grandchildren, Megan and Madison Duschesneau; sisters, Mars. Margaret Snyder of Webster and Mrs. Irene (Robert) Douglas of Union Springs; brother, Mrs. Clarence (Shirley) Raes of Geneva; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd Johnson, who died in 1957; brothers and sisters, Edward Raes, Stan Raes and Marie Schroo; and twin brother Emerick Raes.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Cheney Funeral Home, 70 Main St., Phelps.
Neva M. Morris
PALMYRA - Neva M. Morris, 82 died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2002 at Clifton Springs Hospital.
Burial was Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003 in the Fairville cemetery. Friends were invited to attend a memorial service at the Cross Creek Free Methodist Church in Palmyra. The Rev. David Prince presided.

Neva was born June 13, 1920, in Rochester, the daughter of Faye and Emma Dodge Thompson. She married
Robert K. Morris in 1942 in Buffalo.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn (Edward) Morris Lang of Hampton, N.H., and Dale (Marty) Carr of Palmyra; sons, Craig Morris of Clifton Springs, Robert L. Morris of North Carolina and James (Judy) Morris of Newark; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert, who died Oct. 14, 1993; sisters, Ruth and Myra; and brothers, Carl, George and Ray.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Robert L. Yost Funeral Home Inc. in Palmyra.
Frederick D. "Drew" Melious
PHELPS - Frederick D. "Drew" Melious, 70, of Fort Hill Road, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002 at Geneva General Hospital.
Funeral services will be private. Burial will be at sea by the Marines.

Drew was born in Canandaigua, the son of the late Gilbert F. and Edna Blodgett Melious Sr., and graduated from Gorham School, Class of 1951. After graduation, he enlisted in the Marine Corps, and served 25 years. He had one tour of duty in Korea and three tours of duty in Vietnam. He retired in 1977 as a master sergeant.
He is survived by his brother, Gilbert F. Melious Jr. of Seneca Castle; one sister, Mona Rupert of Beverly, N.J.; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were by the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home Inc. in Gorham.
Junior E. Crance
JUNIUS - Mr. Junior E. Crance, 45, of 271 Whiskey Hill Road, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003 at Mercy Hospital in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
Friends called Thursday, Jan. 9 at the Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 10 at the funeral home. The Rev. Ellen Donnan Carroll, pastor of the Junius Presbyterian Church, officiated. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made in care of Kris Crance, 271 Whiskey Hill Road, Clyde, 14433 to establish an education fund for their sons, Matthew and Jeffrey.
Junior was born Jan. 15, 1957, the son of Lawrence R. and Anna V. Outman Crance. He lived most of his childhood years in Oaks Corners, and later moved to Junius, where he had been a resident for 26 years. He was a 1975 graduate of Midlakes High School.
Junior began his years of employment with the Buisch Family Farms in Lyons, then with Elderlee Sign in Oaks Corners. He later worked for 21 years for Garlocks in Palmyra. While employed at Garlocks, he also established and operated J.E. Crance Excavating & Trucking Co. in Clyde for 17 years.
Junior was a member of the Junius Presbyterian Church, the Junius Volunteer Fire Department, the New York Land Improvement Contractors of America, the Waterloo Pistol & Rifle Club, and was Scoutmaster for Troop 72 of the Waterloo United Methodist Church. He enjoyed his family and supported his sons as they participated in soccer, track, plays, music and Boy Scouts. For relaxation, he and his family would spend time canoeing in the Adirondacks.
He is survived by his wife, Kris L. Rude Crance, whom he married
June 19, 1976; two sons, Matthew J. Crance and Jeffrey M. Crance, both of Junius; his mother, Anna Outman Crance Miller, of Clyde; one brother, John (Betsy) Crance, of Geneva; two sisters, Jerline Smith of Lantana, Fla., and Julie Arndt Johnson of Waterloo; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, niece and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Lawrence R. Crance; step-father, Roscoe Miller; two sisters, Sharon Smith and Gracie Williams; three nephews, Richard Williams, Michael Williams and Kenneth Ordiway; and one niece, Jennifer Crance.
Rachel S. Clayton
CANANDAIGUA - Rachel S. Clayton, 84, formerly of Wilcox Lane, passed away Monday, Dec. 30, 2002 at the Geneva Living Center.
There were no prior calling hours. A memorial service was Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003 at the Canandaigua Baptist Church in Canandaigua. Burial will be in Resthaven cemetery in Phelps.

She is survived by her son, Ernie Clayton, of Texas; three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, the Rev. Harlan Clayton.
Theresa Lawson Whitt
CLYDE - Teresa Lawson Whitt, 37, of 2632 Powers Road, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002 at her home in the comfort and surroundings of her family.
At her request, there were no prior calling hours. Family and friends were invited to attend her funeral service on Saturday, Dec. 21 at the Clyde United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Tim Harben officiating. Burial will be in Rose cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions to the Pluta Cancer Center, 224 Alexander St., Rochester, 14607, would be appreciated.
Teresa was born Nov. 25, 1965, in Lyons, the daughter of James and Marie Osborn Lawson. She was a lifetime resident of Clyde and was a member of the Clyde United Methodist Church.
Teresa was employed as a group leader for the G.W. Lisk Co. of Clifton Springs.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Whitt and two sons, Joshua and Jason Whitt, all of Clyde; her mother, Marie Lawson of Clyde; her father James (Brenda) Lawson of Macedon; her brother, Steven (Amy) Lawson of Clyde; her grandfather, Mr. Warren Leisenring Sr. of Clyde; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Dennis in 1967; her maternal grandparents, Emma and Leon Osborn; her paternal grandfather, James F. Lawson; and her paternal grandmother, Ruby Leisenring.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Baris Funeral Home in Clyde.
Katharine T. Overacre
LYONS - Katharine T. Overacre, 55, of Lyons, formerly of Clifton Springs, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002 at the DeMay Living Center in Newark.
There were no prior calling hours. A memorial service was held Saturday, Jan. 4 at the Patrick Funeral Home in Clifton Springs. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Pioneer cemetery.
Friends may contribute to the American Diabetes Association in Katharine's memory.
Katharine, and her twin sister, Theresa, were born June 30, 1947 in Clifton Springs, the daughters of Frank and Mary Tomlinson. She graduated from Clifton Springs High School and from the CCBI Business School in Syracuse as a legal secretary. She had worked for Mobil Chemical Co. in Macedon for 10 years and then at the DeMay Living Center in Newark.
Katharine was one of the singing Tomlinson Sisters who appeared on the Ted Mac Amateur Hour and won in 1958. They also sang throughout the Finger Lakes area.
She is survived by her husband, Bradley of Lyons; son, Matthew Overacre of Phelps; grandson, Bradley; three sisters, Mary Jane (William) Gormel of Henrietta, Julie (Bruce) Carlson of Phelps and Theresa (Robert) Wallace of Red Creek; brother, William Tomlinson of Texas; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
