Kyle C. Doxtator

PHELPS - Kyle C. Doxtator, 27, of 5 Park Place, passed away Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005.
Family and friends called Monday, Jan. 31 at the Palmisano Funeral Home in Geneva. Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 1 at the Faith Community Church in Geneva, with the Rev. J. Mark Ammerman officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
Kyle was born Dec. 3, 1977, and is the son of Ivan Doxtator and the late Linda Palmero Doxtator. Kyle recently returned to the area from Missouri, where he had managed a five star restaurant. He enjoyed his family, friends and sports.
He is survived by his father, Ivan (Linda S.) Doxtator of House Springs, Mo.; a brother, Joshua (Katie Spicer) Doxtator of Phoenix, Ariz.; a half brother, Craig Doxtator and half sister, Michelle Doxtator of House Springs, Mo.; a stepbrother, Tony Spengel of O'Fallon, Mo.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Honor Hughes Durkee

CLIFTON SPRINGS - Honor Hughes Durkee, 86, passed away peacefully Friday, Jan. 28, 2005 at the Clifton Springs Hospital Nursing Home.
In keeping with her wishes, there were no prior calling hours. Funeral services were Saturday, Feb. 5 at the Patrick Funeral Home, with the Rev. Albert Kamm officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Riverview cemetery.
Friends may contribute to the Clifton Springs Hospital Foundation Fund, 4 Coulter Road, Clifton Springs 14432, in Honor's memory.
Honor was born May 14, 1918, in Clifton Springs, and grew up in Phelps and Clifton Springs. She served in the Army Nursing Corps during World War II and also served two years in the Pacific.
Honor retired from Monroe Community Hospital after 15 years of service. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Pittsford. Honor enjoyed her family and especially her twin grandsons. Honor will be missed by all her dear friends.
Honor is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, George, of Ashton Place; two daughters, Sally Durkee of Herkimer and Wendy Durkee of Rochester; two grandsons, Thomas and George; and several nieces and nephews.

Pearl Elizabeth Doran

PHELPS - Pearl Elizabeth Doran, 79, of Vienna Gardens Senior Living, formerly of Waterloo, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005 at her home.
Friends called Friday, Feb. 4 at Mull Funeral Home, Inc., 113 Virginia St. in Waterloo. A graveside service will be in the spring at Saint Mary's cemetery.
The family request memorial contributions may be directed to the Vienna Gardens Senior Living, 144 Main St., Phelps 14532.
Pearl was born Aug. 31, 1925, in Rochester, the daughter of Seguard and Gertrude Behrens. She retired from Zotos International in Geneva, where she worked as a lab technician.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Wayne) Gable of Palm Harbor, Fla.; and Linda Buck of Waterloo; her sons, Peter James of White Hall, Ark.; and Bernard (Patricia Keebler) of Greece; grandchildren, Lori (Guy) Gable-Storrs of Pultneyville, Steve Gable of Florida, Lisa (Michael) Ridgley of Oldsmar, Fla.; Kim Doran of Syracuse, Kelly Doran of Greece, Jayme Buck of Orlando, Fla.; Sam, Anthony, Paul and Joan Doran of White Hall Ark.; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, the Rev. Seguard Keerps of Pennsylvania; a sister, Luella (Paul) Bauer of Clyde; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pearl was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, James in 1988; and her son Michael, in 1997.

Robert Browning Herendeen

SHORTSVILLE - Robert Browning "Bob" Herendeen, 67, of 4194 Hackett Road, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005 at the Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic after a short battle with cancer.
Friends attended a memorial service on Wednesday, Feb. 2 at the First Presbyterian Church of Shortsville with the Rev. Ellen Carroll officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic Foundation Inc., 2 Coulter Road, Clifton Springs 14432.
Mr. Herendeen was born April 6, 1937, in Rochester, the son of J.Browning and Dorothy Ellen Marble Herendeen. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Shortsville and served as an elder and was a deacon.
He was a member of the Red Jacket Rotary Club and had 20 years perfect attendance. He served as chairman for the Rotary Youth Exchange for South Africa for 17 years. He was also named a Paul Harris Fellow.
Mr. Herendeen had been in the automotive industry for over 55 years, mostly in sales, working most recently for Randall Farnsworth Automotive Group. He was a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America for over 40 years, the Genesee Valley Antique Car Club and the Wayne Drumlins Antique Auto region.
He was an avid antique toy collector and was a life member of the Genesee Valley Antique Toy Association. He also volunteered as Santa Claus for many organizations.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Norma Herendeen; children, Jane Ellen (Bill) Stobie of Phelps, Sharon (Jeff) Dawes of Penn Yan and Scott Browning (Phyllis) Herendeen of Farmington; four grandchildren, Robert "Buckwheat" Stobie, Christopher "Buckshot" Stobie, Josh Browning Herendeen and Zachary Browning Herendeen; sister, Jean (Dave) Kosow of Valley Forge, Pa.; mother-in-law, Anna Wight of Shortsville; brother-in-law, Fred Jr. (Jolene) Smith of Penfield; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother-in-law, Darl Smith.
Funeral arrangements were by the Cheney Funeral Home in Phelps.
"His loss will be immeasurable."

John W. Marsh

GENEVA - John W. Marsh, 84, formerly of Pre-Emption Road, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005 at the DeMay Living Center in Newark.
Friends were invited to attend a memorial Mass at noon Tuesday, Feb. 1 in St. Francis Catholic Church in Phelps with the Rev. Thomas mull officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis cemetery in the spring.
Mr. Marsh was born Aug. 25, 1920, in Seneca Falls, the son of Rockwell and Bessie Platen Marsh. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 229 in Geneva, the Seneca Falls Elks Lodge 992 and a life member of the Dresden Ducks Unlimited.
Mr. Marsh was a member of St. Francis Church in Phelps and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was also retired from the New York Telephone Co., where he worked for 36 years.
He is survived by his son, Thomas Marsh of Geneva; a sister-in-law, Margaret Marsh; a family friend, Fay White; one niece; and two nephews.
Funeral arrangements were by the Cheney Funeral Home in Phelps.

Pauline C. Angeline

MANCHESTER - Pauline C. Angeline, 71, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005 at F.F. Thompson Hospital.
Friends called Sunday, Feb. 6 at Halsted-Patrick Funeral Home in Manchester. A funeral Mass was Feb. 7 at St. Dominic Church in Shortsville.
Donations in Pauline's memory can be made to St. Dominic Church Memorial Fund or the Literacy Volunteers of Ontario County, 208 S. Main St., Canandaigua 14424.
Pauline was born July 12, 1933, in Manchester, the daughter of Frank and Caroline Angeline. She graduated from Red Jacket High School, Class of 1951; and Brockport College, Class of 1955.
She taught in the Canandaigua School system for 30 years before her retirement. She was a life member of the New York State Retired Teachers, Ontario County Retired Teachers, past president of the Delta Kappa Gamma chapter, and a lifelong member of St. Dominic Church. She also was a past member of St. Dominic Parish Council, the Red Hat Society, and trainer for Literacy Volunteers.
She is survived by four sisters, Mary L. and Florence Angeline, both of Manchester; Lucy (Stuart) Gwilt of Shortsville, and Louise Gee of Dallas, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Doreen Angeline and Joann Tuscano, both of Manchester; and loving nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and close friends.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Pat and Fred Angeline.

Bessie L. Bedette

CANANDAIGUA - Bessie Laura Bedette, 93, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005 at the Clifton Springs Nursing Home.
Family and friends called Saturday, Feb. 12 at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home in Newark. A funeral service followed with the Rev. Albert Kamm officiating. Burial will be in Palmyra cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In memory of Mrs. Bedette, please direct contributions to a charity of one's choice.
Mrs. Bedette was born May 9, 1911, in Clifton Springs, the daughter of John and Lucy Hildrith Schanz. She loved birds and butterflies and working in her flower garden. She and her late husband, James, owned and operated a campground on East Lake Read in Canandaigua for many years.
Mrs. Bedette will be remembered by her sons, James (Kathryn) of Canandaigua and Kenneth Bedette of Phelps; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bedette was predeceased by her husband, James E. Bedette on Dec. 22, 1996.

Jennie A. Jones

WATERLOO - Jennie A. Jones, 89, of East Main Street, Waterloo, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005 at the home of her daughter of Kalamazoo, Mich.
Family and friends called Wednesday, Feb. 9 at the Doran Funeral Home. Funeral services were Thursday, Feb. 10 at the funeral home and at St. Mary's Church in Waterloo, where a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by the Rev. Joseph McCaffrey. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery in Waterloo.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Education Fund, 25 Center St., Waterloo 13165.
Jennie was born Aug. 28, 1915, in Waterloo, the daughter of John and Jennie Nilson Anderson. She was a life resident of the Waterloo and Seneca Falls area and retired from the former Seneca Knitting Mills of Seneca Falls. She was a member of St. Mary's Church of Waterloo and the Waterloo Senior Citizens.
She is survived by three daughters, Beverly (G.Richard) Finnerty of Kalamazoo, Mich.; Sonia (James) Johnson of Phelps, and Jean (David) McCloskey of Doylestown, Ohio; one son, George (Diane) Jones of Seneca Falls; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn (Rocco) Church of Ithaca, May (Charles) Williams of Geneva; one brother, Charles (Eva) Anderson of Seneca Falls; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by four brothers, James, Harry, Hugo, and George Anderson; an infant brother, Alfred; and one sister, Sonia Pollard.

Martha Palmer

PHELPS - Martha Palmer, 95, formerly of Vienna Gardens, passed away Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005 at the DeMay Living Center in Newark.
There were no prior calling hours. Memorial services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Palmer was born in Passaic, NJ, the daughter of the late John and Hermonia Rodel. She lived in Passaic, NJ, until moving to Phelps 30 years ago.
She is survived by her daughter, Eleanor Fiori of Phelps; two sons, Edward (Lila) Amerspek of Oak Ridge, NJ and Fred (Linda) Amerspek of Lake Stockholm, NJ; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one niece; and one nephews.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Simon Amerspek, Oliver Lathrop and Lester Palmer; her granddaughter, Ellen Fiori; her son-in-law, Bart Fiori; three sisters; and one brother.

Elizabeth "Ann" Woodhams Powers

SHORTSVILLE - Elizabeth "Ann" Woodhams Powers, 72, of 26 W. Main St., died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005 at Strong Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Friends called Thursday, Feb. 10 and Friday, Feb. 11 at Halsted-Patrick Funeral Home in Manchester. Funeral services followed on Friday at the funeral home.
Donations in Ann's memory may be made to the Shortsville Citizens Hose Ambulance Fund, the Shortsville Presbyterian Church, or the charity of one's choice.
Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She worked at Westplex Corp in Manchester for many years, and retired from Voplex in Canandaigua. She was a friend of the Shortsville Presbyterian Church, a member of the Shortsville Turner-Schrader American Legion Post 34 Auxiliary. She worked as a poll sitter for the Ontario County Board of Elections.
Ann is survived by one daughter, Arlene (Doug) Coons of Manchester; five sons, Jeffrey (Cindy) Woodhams of Geneva, Robert (Joan) Woodhams and Randy Woodhams, both of Shortsville; Ronald (Cathy) Woodhams of Manchester and Donald (Elise) Woodhams of Clifton Park; one stepdaughter, Sally (Greg) Schultz of Manchester; 24 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice (Bob) Maher; one brother, Thomas (Sue)VanEtten; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Howard Powers and Arlen "Sonny" Woodhams; her parents, William and Alice VanEtten; and three brothers, Francis, James, and Gary.
