Edith M. Woodard Kelsey

CLIFTON SPRINGS - Edith M. Woodard Kelsey, 84, of Spa Apartments died Sunday, June 26, 2005 in Clifton Springs Hospital.
There were no prior calling hours. A memorial service was Thursday, June 30 at the Clifton Springs United Methodist Church. The Rev. Lynn Spence, pastor, officiated. Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery in Waterloo at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Clifton Springs United Methodist Church, Clifton Springs Fire Department or to the Potter Baptist Church Memory Garden.
Mrs. Kelsey was born in Moravia, May 10, 1921, the daughter of Gilbert George and Elizabeth Janet Thomas Woodard. She had been employed at the Seneca Army Depot and Patent Cereal in Geneva. She was involved with the Grandparent Program at West Street School and was a member of the Clifton Springs United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis (Paul) Granger; her son, Lawrence Kelsey; five grandchildren, Sherry Kelsey, Tammy Wilson, Troy Kelsey, Crystal and Ashley Kelsey; six great-grandchildren; her brother, Hubert (Adele) Woodard; and a friend of 63 years, Phyllis Sanderson.
She was predeceased by her husband, Willard M. Kelsey in 1976; and her sisters, Jean Marie Woodard and Shirley Shipos; and her brother, George Woodard.

Linda M. Folwell

CANANDAIGUA - Linda M. Folwell, 63, died Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at the Geneva Living Center South.
There were no prior calling hours. Services and interment will be at the convenience of the family.
Contributions in Linda's memory can be made to the Sands Cancer Center, 360 Parrish St., Canandaigua 14424, or to the Salvation Army.
Linda was born Feb. 5, 1942, in Rochester, the daughter of Wayne and Frances Goodell. On March 18, 1961, she married LeRoy Folwell in Bradford, Pa. She was a housewife and worked at the family business, LeRoy's Truck Repair Inc., in Geneva. She enjoyed gardening, reading, crafts and stamp collecting.
She is survived by her two sons, Scott (Rebecca) Folwell of Manchester and Daniel Folwell of Buffalo; granddaughter, Ashley; sister, Cynthia Goodell of Rochester; brother-in-law, Clayton Folwell of Rochester, two sisters-in-law, Laverna (Robert) Frankenberger of Rochester and Patricia Schlesing of Jamestown; best friend, Mary Lou Strassner; good friends, Dale and Patty Bulman; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, LeRoy; parents, Wayne and Francis; sister-in-law, Geraldine Folwell; sister, Sylvia Curtis; and brother-in-law, Robert.

Donald D. Phillips

NEWARK - Donald D. Phillips, 85, of 623 East Ave., died peacefully at home Saturday, July 2, 2005.
At Don's request there were no prior calling hours. Family and friends attended a graveside service at noon, Friday, July 8, 2005 at Resthaven cemetery, with the Rev. Shirley Filiatreau officiating.
Don was born Dec. 1, 1919, in Rochester, the son of James Arthur and Gertrude Donley Phillips. He was a member of Park Presbyterian Church in Newark and was a Marine veteran of World War II. Don enjoyed reading and history, and was a Civil War buff. Big band music was Don's passion and he was a very talented, self-taught piano player.
Don's request was that memorial donations be made to Lifetime Care Hospice, 1120 S. Main St., Newark 14513.
He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Annabelle Phillips; children, Katherine (Charles) Baker of Laurel, Md., James Phillips of Phelps, John (Helen) Phillips of Newark, Susan (Joseph) Boyle of Norwalk, Conn., Donald Jr. (Kathleen) Phillips of Phelps, Jane Wells of Millbury, Mass., Margaret Phillips of Worcester, Mass., Perry (Laura) Hicks of Canandaigua, Fred (Trudy) Hicks of Newark, David (Nancy) Hicks of Chestnut Ridge, Daryl (Deborah) Hicks of Florida and Kathlyn Ray of Arizona; 29 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Florence Needham Phillips, who died in March of 1985.

Mary S. Wright

PHELPS - Mrs. Mary S. Wright, 81, of 86 Clifton St., died on Friday, July 1, 2005 at Newark Manor Nursing Home.
Friends called Tuesday, July 5 at the Cheney Funeral Home in Phelps. Funeral services were Wednesday, July 6 at the Church of the Nazarene Relocation/Building Fund, 2139 State Route 96, Clifton Springs 14432.
Mary is survived by her husband of 43 years, Fred Wright of Phelps; daughter, Linda Ryedorph of Schenectady; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Natalie McKinney of Newark; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers and five sisters.

William Yahn

FARMINGTON - William Yahn, 76, died Saturday, July 9, 2005 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Friends called Tuesday, July 12 at Halstead-Patrick Funeral Home in Manchester. Funeral services were Wednesday, July 13 at the funeral home.
Contributions, in William's memory, can be made to Ontario-Yates Hospice, 756 Pre-Emption Rd, Geneva, 14456, or to the American Cancer Society, 1400 Winton Road North, Rochester 14609-5896.
William was born Dec. 27, 1928, in Canandaigua, the son of Fred H. and Mathilde Yahn. He was a graduate of Victor High School. He was a cattle dealer and owner and operator of his farm, and was active in many area auctions. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Pumpkin Hook for 37 years.
He is survived by sons, Donald (JoAnn) Yahn of Churchville, Richard (Phyllis) Yahn of Nichols and Kevin (Kate) Yahn of Shortsville; daughters, Sheryll (Ron) Piccirillo of Phelps and Deborah Whyte (Dean Everdyke) of Macedon; three sisters, Helen (Bill) Schwartz of Manchester, Marion Ferris of Farmington and Lillian Yahn of Rochester; two granddaughters, Lisa Yahn and Rebecca (Jeffery) Bliss; one grandson, Richard Yahn, Jr.; three great-grandsons, Bryce Yahn and Mitchell and Evan Bliss; one sister-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie in 2000; his parents; granddaughter, Torry Lynn Yahn; and son-in-law, Leslie A. Whyte.

Ann N. Wright

SENECA FALLS - Ann N. Wright, 69, of East Bayard Street Extension, died Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at her residence.
Family and friends called Friday, July 15 at the Doran Funeral Home Inc., in Seneca Falls. Funeral services were at the Funeral Home on Saturday, July 16, with the Rev. Marilyn Foster, pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Seneca Falls, officiating. Burial will be in Cangoa cemetery, Town of Fayette.
If desired, contributions may be made to Lifetime Care Hospice, 1120 S. Main St., Newark 14513.
Ann was born Dec. 5, 1935, in Lyons Falls, the daughter of the late Glenn and Avis Brown Northrup. She had resided in Seneca Falls since 1981 moving from Saranac Lake. She had been employed at the Johnson Home in Seneca Falls. She also worked in the cafeteria of the Saranac Lake High School.
Ann had been active in snowmobiling in Saranac Lake, where she taught snowmobiling safety courses. She was a former member of the Red Hat Society and a former member of the town of Franklin Board of Assessors.
Ann was an avid craftsperson and participated in many local craft events.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth N. Wright Jr. of Seneca Falls, whom she married May 9, 1954; one daughter, Debra Wright of Waterloo; three sons, Michael Wright of Vermontville, Craig (Darlene) Wright of Saranac Lake and Peter Wright of Phelps; five grandchildren, Paul (Marcia) Shumway, Heather (Michael) Whitney and Shannon, Justin and Samantha Wright; four great-grandchildren, Jackson Wright, Noel Whitney and Charles and Levi Shumway; sister, Avis (Richard) Brown of Duane; one brother, Richard Northrup of Seneca Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

ROSE E. FITCH

Newark - Rose Eunice Fitch, 92, died Thursday (July 21, 2005) at the Wayne County Nursing Home.
Family and Friends called Sunday (July 24) at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home Inc., 124 W. Miller St. in Newark. A memorial service was held Monday (July 25) at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church on East Miller Street, in Newark, with the Rev. Carlos Smith officiating. Burial will be in East Newark cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Emmanuel United Methodist Church General Fund.
Mrs. Fitch was Born Oct. 2, 1912, the daughter of the late Charles and Bessie Gleason Case in Phelps. She worked for 32 years at Garlock doing several general jobs.
Mrs. Fitch was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Woman's organization. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and working in the garden.
She will be remembered by her two sons, Richard (Delores) Fitch of Illinois and James (Donna) Fitch of Fairport; daughter, Helen Smith of Newark; 22 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and four great-great-granddaughters; brothers, Robert (Eleanor) of Palmyra, Donald (Marci) of Oswego and Lean (Beverly) Case of Newark; Sisters, Nellie Fitch of Lyons and Edith Ryan of Clyde; many nieces and nephews.
Rose was predeceased by her husband, Edward E. Fitch on Aug. 26, 2004; daughter, Janet Bailey in 1998; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Fitch; grandson, Timothy Fitch; five brothers and two sisters.

ADRIANA P. TYLER

East Palmyra - Adriana P. Tyler, 74, died Wednesday (July 20, 2005).
Friends were invited to call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Sunday (July 24) at the McGuire/Hargrave & Murphy Funeral Home, 123 Jackson St. in Palmyra. Her funeral service will be private in East Palmyra cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association in her memory.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Harlin Tyler; children, Cathy (Carl) Ormsbee of Newark, Nancy (Robert) Kelly of Phelps, David (Cindy) Tyler of Lyons and Donna Tyler of Spencerport; grandchildren, Carl Ormsbee II, Elizabeth Ormsbee, Matthew Tyler, Kristina Kelly and Patrick Tyler; siblings, Robert Brockhuizen, Edward Brockhuizen, Cornelia Graham and Wilhelmina VanKouwenberg; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her siblings, William Brockhuizen, Marie Bush, Herman Brockhuizen, Cornelius Brockhuizen and Thomas Brockhuizen; and Parents, Herman & Andriana Brockhuizen.

DALE A. MCMILLIN

Bath - Dale A. McMillin, 52, of East William Street, died Wednesday (July 20, 2005) at the Corning Hospital.
A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Friday (July 22) in Bath National cemetery.
Dale was born Dec. 8, 1952, in Newark, the son of Delos and Donna Lynn McMillin. He was a 1972 graduate of Midlakes High School, was an Army veteran, and had resided in Bath for the past seven years. He had worked at the Bath Country Club for several years.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Donna and Bud Woodhams of Manchester; two brothers, Mark (Debbie) McMillin of Clifton Springs and Barry Woodhams of Canandaigua; three sisters, Pam Williams of Tacoma, Wash., Marie Kruger of San Diego, Calif., and Sid (Dan) Wilferth of Red Creek; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Delos McMillin.
Fagan's Funeral Home Inc. of Bath was in charge of the arrangements.

EDWIN WARNER
1915-2005

Clifton Springs/Penn Yan - Ed Warner, 90, of Ashton Place in Clifton Springs, formerly of Penn Yan and South Hadley, Mass., passed away Monday (July 25, 2005) at the Clifton Springs Hospital.
In keeping with his wishes there were no prior calling hours. The family invited friends to celebrate Ed's life at 2:30 p.m. Friday (July 29) at Ashton Place in Clifton Springs.
Friends may contribute to the Penn Yan Volunteer Ambulance Corps in Ed's memory.
Ed was an arborist with his own company in Massachusetts and tree warden for the town of South Hadley. He gave many nature lectures and traveled extensively. Ed's life was dedicated to this family and service to others. He was a member of the Penn Yan Volunteer Ambulance Corps, the South Hadley Volunteer Fire Department, FISH and an active member in church. Ed will be sadly missed by his loving friends and family.
Ed is survived by his daughters, Jody (John) Farnsworth of Canandaigua, Linda (Doug) Young of South Hadley, Mass., Ruth (David) Roberts of East Bridgewater, Mass.; son, Leonard (Shelby) Warner of Norwood, Mass; sister, Ruth Warner Ellison of South Hadley, Mass; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wives, Florence Blue Warner and Rosalind Mickalak Warner.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Patrick Funeral Home in Clifton Springs.
