Donald W. Brown "Don"

Newark/Fairville - Donald "Don" William Brown, 64 died suddenly Sunday morning September 9, 2001 at Via Health of Wayne-Newark Campus.
Family and friends may call Tuesday (Sept. 11) from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 West Miller Street, Newark. A Funeral service will be Wednesday morning (Sept. 12) at 11 a.m. with Rev. Gerald Harris officiating at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairville cemetery with Military Honors.
Those wishing may make a memorial remembrance to the Fairville Volunteer Ambulance, Route 88, Newark, 14513 or American Diabetes Association, 20 Ramona Street, Rochester, 14613 in Don's memory.
Don was born the son of the late Donald and Lillian Malbone Brown on February 4, 1937 in Wilmington, New York. He worked for Fold-Pak Corp. in Newark where he was a machinist. He was a member of the Fairville Presbyterian Church, Phelps American Legion where he was a life member and the Lyons Rod and Gun Club also a life member. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the great outdoors. Don was a past member of the Fairville Volunteer Fire Department and was the first Boy Scouts Leader in Fairville.
We at the funeral home proudly fly the Marine Corp. Flag in honor of his service to our country.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 19 years Margaret "Peggy" Brown; son David (Doreen) Brown of Newark; daughters Lisa Brown, Alice (James) Lawrence both of North Carolina and Melody Blankenberg of Newark; eleven grandchildren; sisters Betty (Gary) Niles of Waterloo, Donna Garrison of Seneca Falls, Shirley Brown of Canandaigua and Helen (Roger) Pierce of Newark; mother-in-law Ruth Wadley of Newark; many nieces and nephews.
Don was predeceased by his parents Donald on Oct. 15, 1979 and mother Lillian on Oct. 18, 2000.

Elizabeth "Betty" Reeves

Newark - Elizabeth "Betty" Reeves, 78 died Tuesday, August 28, 2001 at the DeMay Living Center.
Family and friends may call Friday (Aug. 31) from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 West Miller Street, Newark. A Funeral Service will be Saturday (Sept. 1) at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Timothy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at East Palmyra cemetery.
In memory of Betty, in lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a memorial remembrance to Newark-Arcadia Volunteer Ambulance, P.O. Box 680, Newark, 14513 or Park Presbyterian Church, Maple Court, Newark, 14513.
Betty was born August 9, 1923 in Hoboken, New York. She married Richard C. Reeves on September 15, 1951. Betty was a member of Park Presbytiran Church and sang in the church choir for many years. She was a avid bowler and past President of the "Thursday Night Bowling League".
Betty was survived by her daughter and son-in-law Terri and Jack Skinner of Newark; grandchildren Christopher Reeves, Travis and Cody Skinner; sister-in-law Joyce Deming of Indiana; nephews Tim Deming of Indiana, Dave Deming of Ohio; niece Dawn Merrynan of Indiana; very special friend Carm Harrison.
Betty was predeceased by her husband Richard on February 14, 2000.

Louis R. Ippolito

Newark - Louis R. Ippolito, 86 died Saturday, February 23, 2002 at Via Health of Wayne - Newark Campus.
Family and friends may call Monday (Feb. 25) from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 West Miller Street, Newark. A Funeral Service will be Tuesday (Feb. 26) at 11 a.m. at the Church Of God, Plain Street, Newark with Rev. Joseph Irvin officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Newark cemetery, North Main Street, Newark.
In memory of Mr. Ippolito, in lieu of flowers, a memorial remembrance may be made to the family.
Mr. Ippolito was born the son of Joseph and Mary Mezencea Ippolito on July 8, 1915 in Brooklyn, New York. He retired from Newark Florist in 1996 after working there as a grower for 65 years.
Mr. Ippolito was a member of the Newark VFW Post 2883. We at the funeral home proudly fly the Army Flag in honor of his service to our county during WWII.
Mr. Ippolito is survived by his loving wife Lisa Osborne Ippolito; sons Gary of Seneca Falls, Rick (Danette) of Newark, Tim of Newark, Tim (Patricia) of Buffalo and John (Melissa) Ippolito of Herkimer; daughter Tammy Ippolito of Newark; nine grandchildren; brother Angelo (Alice) Pellicano of Lyons; sister Nancy Drinkwater of Phelps; many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ippolito was predeceased by his son Gerald in 1943; granddaughter Heather in 1998 and grandson Timothy John Jan. 2002.

Curtis Cooper

Newark - Curtis Cooper, 64 died Friday, February 15, 2002 at the Newark Manor Nursing Home.
There will be no prior calling hours. A Memorial Service will be Monday (Feb. 18) at 1 p.m. at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 West Miller Street, Newark with Rev. Dan Benedict officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood cemetery in Lyons with military honors.
In memory of Curtis, in lieu of flowers, a memorial remembrance may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 20 Ramona Street, Rochester, 14613.
Curtis was born the son of Gaylord and Viola Spoor Cooper on October 5, 1937 in Corning, New York. He retired form Parker Hannifin Co. where he worked as a machine operator. Curtis enjoyed fishing, watching car racing and old John Wayne moves on TV.
We at the funeral home proudly fly the Air Force Flag in honor of his service to our country.
Curtis is survived by his loving wife Eunice Larkin Cooper; sons Dale of Alburn, Michael of MA. and Mark of Newark; daughters Debra (Randal) Welborn of PA and Kimberly Cooper of Newark; granddaughters Magan and Jennifer Welborn.

Florence A. Holbrook

Newark - Florence A. Holbrook, 92 went home to spend eternity with her Lord on February 15, 2002.
Family and friends may call Monday (Note Time) 3-5 and 7-9 at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 West Miller Street, Newark. A funeral service will be Tuesday (Feb. 19) at 7 p.m. at Oasis of Hope Community Church, 1378 Trolley Road, Palmyra, New York with Rev. Tim McClure officiating. Burial will be Wednesday (Feb. 20) at 2 p.m. at Westfield cemetery, Westfield, New York.
In memory of Mrs. Holbrook, in lieu of flowers, a memorial remembrance may be made to the church.
Mrs. Holbrook was born the daughter of Albert and Celia Nelson Anderson on July 30, 1909 in Jamestown, New York. She taught school for many years in the Westfield and Hartfield, New York area. She was known to everyone as grandma and spent many hours in prayer for her family and friends. She also enjoyed reading books and her favorite was her Bible.
Mrs. Holbrook is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Karen and Richard Hinchey of Newark; grandchildren Elaine and Christopher Pragle of Macedon, Ann and Kevin Turner of Macedon and David Hinchey of California; great grandchildren Elijah and Kaleb Pragle, Zackary and Abigail Turner; two nieces and one nephews.
Mrs. Holbrook was predeceased by her husband Milton in 1974, one brother and one sister.

Iva M. Cornwell

Newark - Iva M. Cornwell, 102 died peacefully Thursday, February 14, 2002 at the Wayne County Nursing Home.
Family and friends may call Sunday (Feb. 17) from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 West Miller Street, Newark. A Funeral Service will be Monday (Feb. 18) at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Lee Prong officiating at the funeral home. Burial will follow at East Palmyra cemetery.
In memory of Mrs. Cornwell, in lieu of flowers, a memorial remembrance may be made to the Fairville Presbyterian Church, Route 88, Newark, 14513.
Mrs. Cornwell was born the daughter of Jacob and Marietta McFaul Schlecht on December 23, 1899 in the town of Arcadia. She graduated from Newark High School, class of 1918. She attended Geneseo College for one summer and then went to teach in a one room school house in East Palmyra. In 1940 she and her husband inherited a farm on Maple Ridge Road where they worked on the farm and raised their family.
Mrs. Cornwell was a member of the Fairville Presbyterian Church and the Newark Grange for over 50 years. Mrs. Cornwell was also active in the Newark Senior Citizens for many years. She enjoyed playing Bingo and listening to Books on tape.
Mrs. Cornwell is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Clayton and Mary Jane of TX; Robert and Ruth, Paul of Newark and George and Kate of FL.; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cornwell was predeceased by her husband John Cornwell in 1988, one brother and one sister.

Todd F. Coomber "Toad"

Newark/Clifton Springs - Todd Frederick Coomber, 37 died Saturday February 9, 2002 at the Clifton Springs Nursing Home.
Family and friends may call Monday (Feb. 11) from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 West Miller Street, Newark. A Funeral Service will be Tuesday morning (Feb. 12) at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Timothy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at East Newark cemetery, Vienna St., Newark.
In memory of Todd, in lieu of flowers, a remembrance memorial may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association, 1210 Jefferson Road, Rochester, 14623.
Todd was born October 28, 1964 in Newark, New York. He was a member of Park Presbyterian Church in Newark. He was the Finger Lakes Muscular Dystrophy Poster Boy for 1974 - 1976. He enjoyed his computer and talking to many friends on the internet.
Todd is survived by his mother and step-father Connie and Colin MacLennan of Newark; father and step-mother Gary and Patricia Coomber of Farmington; sister Melissa Coomber of Boston; grandmother Margie Long of Middlesex; several aunts and uncles. Todd was predeceased by his sister April.

Hali G. Austin

Hali G. Austin, 2, born February 18, 1999 died suddenly Friday, February 1, 2002 at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Family and friends may call Monday (Feb. 4) from 2-4 and 7-9. A Funeral Service will be Tuesday (Feb. 5) at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Gerald Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Newark cemetery.

She is survived by her mother and step-father Sarah and Justin Jock of Newark; her father Matthew Austin of Newark; her maternal grandparents Rodger and Rita Buffett of Newark; paternal grandmother Jamie Austin and her friend Ronald Pullen of Newark; paternal great grandmother Diane Johnson and her friend Earl; uncles Jason Buffett, Robert Buffett both of Newark, Phillip Austin and his friend David of Rochester; aunts Stephanie (Allan) Halsey and Stacy Buffett both of Newark; cousins Megan and Abby Halsey, Evan Robson and Owen Adams; several great aunts, uncles and cousins.

Reinaldo R. Ruiz

Newark - Reinaldo Ramos Ruiz, 43 died suddenly Sunday, January 20, 2001 at his home.
Family and friends may call Thursday (Jan. 24) from 1 to 3 at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 West Miller Street, Newark. A Funeral Service will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Carlos Smith officiating. Burial will be in Maunabo, Puerto Rico.

Reinaldo was born the son of Primitivo and Lydia Ruiz Ramos in Maunabo, PR on November 13, 1958. He had worked for Newark Florist for a few years.
Reinaldo is survived by his wife Carolyn Ruiz; mother Lydia Ruiz of PR; brothers Carmelo Garcia and Primitivo Ruiz both of PR and Hector Ruiz of Elmira; sister Carmen Milagro Ruiz of PR.; many nieces and nephews; good friend Henry Ortiz of Newark.

Paul Q. Butler

Newark - Paul Q. Butler, 78 of East Pearl Street died Sunday, January 13, 2001 at Via Health of Wayne-Newark Campus.
All services will be private. Burial with full military honors at East Palmyra cemetery.

Paul was born the son of Fred and Sally Young Butler on December 27, 1923 in Lick Creek, West Virginia. He retired from Fold Pak in Newark in 1989 after working there 34 years.
We at the funeral home proudly fly the Army Flag in honor of his service to our county during WWII. He received the Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon and the WWII Victory Ribbon.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Betty Walker Bulter; daughters and sons-in-law Bonnie (William) Kline, Dixie (Thomas) Scharett, Drema (Donald) Wilkins and Christine (Dave) Wilck; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren; sisters Naomi (Klell) Pettrey, Sylvia Halanton and Louise Etter; many nieces and nephews.

Cora Mae DeWolf

Newark - Cora Mae DeWolf, 89 formerly of E. Union Street died Wednesday, January 2, 2002 at the Wayne County Nursing Home.

Mrs. DeWolf was born the daughter of Frederick and Lula Trask Niles on March 29, 1912 in Hunts, New York. She graduated from Newark High School. She worked for GE in Syracuse and Newark Development Center in Newark. Mrs. DeWolf married Andrew L. DeWolf on December 8, 1937.
Mrs. DeWolf is survived by her daughters Linda (Gail) VanCleef of Newark and Sharon Murphy of Albany; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; sisters Hazel Wykle of Farmington, Mary Watson of Marcellus and Bertha Vicinus of Farmington; many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. DeWolf was predeceased by her husband Andrew in 1987 and her great grandson Bobby in 2001.
