Dellonte, Elizabeth - Elizabeth Dellonte, 90, formerly of Auburn, died Tuesday, March 10, 1998, at Clifton Springs Nursing Home.Mrs. Dellonte was born Jan. 9, 1908, in Auburn, the daughter of August and Annunziata Cecchini. She had been a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Auburn for most of her life. Interment in St. Joseph cemetery, in Fleming, NY.Elizabeth was the widow of Ambrogio "Charlie" Dellonte. She is survived by her children, John (Jean) Dellonte of Union Springs, Marie D. (David) Kudla of Newark, and Nancy D. (Michael) Keefe of Lawrenceville, GA.; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, August Cecchini of Auburn; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bell, Raymond L. - Raymond L. Bell, 82, of Peirson Ave., died on March 11, 1998 at the Wayne County Nursing Home. Mr. Bell was the son of Charles and Edith Hodges Bell, born November 4, 1915 in Auburn, NY. The funeral home proudly flies the Army flag in honor of his service to his country during WWII.Interment in the East Newark cemetery.Mr. Bell is survived by his loving wife Barbara Gabriel Bell; son Mark (Jennifer) Bell of CA; daughter Elaine (John) Frank of Honeoye Falls; five grandchildren; brother Ethan (Flora) Bell of Auburn; sister Mildred Pratt of Union Springs; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lockwood, Lyle L. - Lyle L. Lockwood, 85, of Birchwood Lane, Sodus, died February 27, 1998 at the Wayne County Nursing Home, Lyons. Interment in Sodus Rural cemetery. Mr. Lockwood was predeceased by his wife, Adrienne in 1995. He is survived by three sons, Walter of Newark, David (Bonnie) of Knoxville, TN and Lawrence of Lyons; three daughters, Katherine (William) Fulton of Webster, Phyllis (Thomas) Pickard of Baldwinsville and Edith Crave of Fayetteville; 10 grandchildren; sister, Sadie Randall; brothers, Clifford Lockwood, Millard Lockwood, Morris Beman and Phillip Beman; several nieces and nephews.

Schlaefler, Charles J. - Charles J. Schlaefler, 84, of East Port Bay Road, Wolcott, died on February 25, 1998 at Myers Community Hospital. Interment in Holy Sepulchre cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Martha; daughter, Mary (Fred) McBride of Shortsville; three step-sons, Michael (Chong) Soper of Indianapolis, IN, Dale Soper of Wolcott, David (Shelly) Soper of Martville; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Zimmer and Marion Figler both of Rochester; several nieces and nephews.

Klug, Sharon L. - Sharon L. Klug, 52, of Marion, died February 27, 1998 after a brief illness. Sharon was a member of the Grace Baptist Church and the Marion School Board, and she was a medical secretary for Arcadia Family Practice in Marion. She was predeceased by her parents, John C. and Eleanor F. Nixon of Pine Bush, NY. She is survived by her ex-husband, Herbert; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Jim Briggs, Laura and Jeff Brugge and Jennifer Klug; two grandchildren, Jamie and James Briggs, Jr., all of Marion; two brothers and their wives, Jack and Caroline Nixon of Haines City, FL, Thomas and Patricia Nixon of Montgomery, NY.

Munoz, Clotilde - Clotilde Munoz, 72, of West Union Street, Newark died Sunday, March 1, 1998 at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital. Clotilde was born June 3, 1925 in Puerto Rico, daughter of Diego and Primitiva Ramos Munoz. She was a member of the Spanish Assembly of God of Newark. Interment in Newark cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Pedro Melendez; five sons, Ramon of Geneva, Hector of Detroit, Ruben of Syracuse, Luis of Newark, and Pedro Jr. of Connecticut; two daughters, Julia Ortiz and Maria Gonzalez of Newark; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Diego Munoz Jr. of New Jersey; sister, Ignacia Cintron of Puerto Rico; nieces and nephews.

Blandino, Philip J. - Philip J. Blandino, 54, formerly of Lyons, died Friday, February 27, 1998 in Florida. Mr. Blandino was born August 20, 1943 in Lyons, the son of Philip "Ace" and Jennie San Angelo Blandino. He had taught at Newark Developmental Center for many years, and for 14 years, he was administrative assistant to former State Senator Paul Kehoe. Interment in South Lyons cemetery. Mr. Blandino is survived by his sisters, Rosalind (Peter) Prinzivalli and Shirley (Kevin Frick) Blandino of Rochester; a niece, Lori (Bruce) Barrett; three children; aunts, cousins and many friends.

Kime, Estelle M. - Estelle M. Kime, 95, died Tuesday, March 3, 1998, at the DeMay Living Center, Newark. Miss Kime was born November 23, 1902 in Rochester, the daughter of William and Charlotte Calligan Kime. She had owned and operated Estelle's Gift Shop on East Miller Street for over 28 years, retiring in 1966. Miss Kime was a communicant of St. Michael's Church and a member of its Rosary and Altar Society. She was an avid bridge player and a member of St. Michael's bridge group. Interment in Webster Rural cemetery. She is survived by a sister, Betty Parker of Newark; nieces and nephews, Sharon Finewood, William Parker, Mary Jane Barringer, Robert and Kay Frank; several great-nieces and nephews.

Fanning, Robert Francis - Robert Francis Fanning, 78, of Grace Ave., Newark, died Friday, February 27, 1998, in Newark-Wayne Community Hospital. Born in Geneva September 26, 1919, to William and Phyllis Sparrow Fanning, he was a graduate of Canandaigua Academy and a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving during World War II in Africa, Italy and France. He began working for NYS Electric & Gas Co. in 1946, working in Geneva, Newark and Cortland, before becoming Newark area manager in 1964, where he oversaw construction of its new facilities. Until his retirement in 1981, he was active in the Newark Chamber of Commerce in various capacities, serving as chairman of the Rose Festival in 1971. He was a communicant of St. Michael Church, a member of the August Mauer Post American Legion, a life member of the Newark Elks and a member of Newark Rotary for many years. Interment in Newark cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy; sons, Michael (Nancy) of Alexandria, VA, and Jeffrey (Karen) of Geneva; grandchildren, Ryan, Kevin, Christopher, Matthew and Kathleen; sister, Mary Anne Gates of Las Vegas, NV. He was predeceased by his daughter, Kathleen, May 3, 1973.

Veith, Lois I. - Lois I. Veith of Cape Vincent, NY, died at age 72 in Boynton Beach, FL on January 12, 1998 after a short illness. Interment Sand Bay cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Arthur; daughters, Georgia, Sandra (Michael) Ivey of Cape Vincent, Mary (Martin) Royal of GA; sons, James (Corrine) of Newark, and John of Cape Vincent; seven grandchildren; a great-grandson; and sisters-in-law, Virginia (John) Goonan and Mary (Albert) Jones.

Norrison, Millard 'Mit' Jay Sr. - Millard 'Mit' Jay Norrison Sr., 82, died Monday, March 2, 1998 at the House of John in Clifton Springs. Mr. Norrison was born in Newark on July 3, 1915, son of Frank J. and Mary H. Ledain Norrison. He had worked in the maintenance department at Indian Summer Company, Sodus. Interment in Newark cemetery. He is survived by two daughters, Mary D. (Robert) Kittle of Newark and Annette (Richard) Smith of Marion; two sons, James Norrison of Clifton Springs and Millard J. (Sonny) Norrison Jr. of Palmyra; two stepsons, Donald (Barbara) Overfield of Farmington and Jack (Linda) Overfield of North Chili; stepdaughter, Lucille (Barry) Evans of Clintonville, Michigan; 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grand children; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Cornelia in 1975, and second wife, Maxine Overfield In 1996.

DeDee, Loretta S. - Loretta S. DeDee, 86, of Tallahassee, FL, formerly of Lyons, died Monday, March 2, 1998 after suffering a stroke February 18, 1998. Mrs. DeDee was born in Lyons on February 23, 1912, the daughter of Fred and Fannie Sucher. She attended Lyons Central School. She and her husband owned C.B.L. Trailer Sales and DeDee Home Appliances for 40 years until 1981, when she moved to Florida with her husband, "Bill" DeDee. Mrs. DeDee was a member of the Arcadia Reformed Church of Newark. Interment in South Lyons cemetery. Mrs. DeDee was predeceased by her husband. Surviving are her daughters, Betty M. Roger and Carol D. Pruitt, both of Tallahassee, FL; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Murtari, Rose - Rose Murtari, 95, of Newark died on Tuesday, March 3, 1998 at the Geneva Living Center. Miss Murtari was born in Italy November 2, 1902, the daughter of Frank and Catherine Curulla Murtari. She had worked at Endicott & Johnson Shoe Factory, Jackson & Perkins Nursery and at canning factories. She was a member of St. Michael's Church. Interment in Newark cemetery. She is survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Miss Murtari was predeceased by sister Maria Ceravolo, and five brothers Dominic, Antonio, John, Vincent and Joseph Murtari.

Hall, Ruth L. - Ruth L. Hall, 81, of Palmyra, died on March 4, 1998 at Clifton Springs Extended Care Unit. Survivors include her husband, Maynard; four sons, Frank (Alice) of Macedon Center, Richard (Betty) of Lyons, Dennis (Beth) of VA, Stephen (Mary) of Irondequoit; daughter, Mary Lou (Howard) Herko of East Rochester; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jarvis (Hazel) Day and Dwight Day; two sisters, Irene Miles and Elaine Myrtle; several nieces and nephews.

Friedrich, Erich "Dutch" - Erich "Dutch" Friedrich, 91, of Grace Ave., Newark, died on March 4, 1998 at his home. Mr. Friedrich was born July 30, 1906 in Germany, the son of Albert and Frieda Beier Friedrich. He came to the United States at the age of 18, fully qualified as a carpenter. Because airplanes were made of wood in the early days of flight, he had an introduction into a new, growing high-tech industry in Buffalo. He eventually became qualified as an aircraft mechanic and worked for years as a supervisor in the aerospace industry. Dutch retired to Wilkes-Barre, PA before coming to Newark. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Sophie; daughter, Barbara (Ken) Taylor of Toronto; five grandchildren, John (Kim) Shear, Cathleen (Gary) Zdyb, James (Shannon) Shear, Andrea (Richard) Parker and Michael Taylor; five great-grandchildren, Jacob, Haley, Madeline, Brittany and Richard; son-in-law Thomas Shear. He was predeceased by his parents, daughter Elizabeth "Betsy" Shear, two brothers Max and Kurt Friedrich. Interment in East Newark cemetery.

Fantauzzi, Otilio R. "Eddie" - Otilio R. "Eddie" Fantauzzi, 62, of Norton St., Newark, died on March 4, 1998 at Rochester General Hospital. Mr. Fantauzzi was born Dec. 13, 1935 in Maundo, Puerto Rico to Cayetano and Ernestine Rodriguez Fantauzzi. He worked in housekeeping at the Clifton Springs Hospital and was a member of St. Michael's Church in Newark. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Mitholady; son, Samuel; daughter, Virgen of Newark; granddaughter, Jasmine Fantauzzi; sister, Amada Fantauzzi of Puerto Rico; brother, Stephan Fantauzzi Rodriguez of Chicago; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Interment in Puerto Rico.

Lynch, Gertrude E. - Gertrude E. Lynch, age 87, of Marion, died Thursday, September 24, 1998. Internment in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. She is survived by two nieces, Frances (Roger) Boise of Marion, Emogene (Dr. Joseph) Sastic of Pilgrove, New Jersey; Grandnieces and nephews.

Barnes, William E. - William E. Barnes, 70, of Lock Street, Clyde died September 25, 1998 at Clifton Springs Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Barnes was born in Lyons on January 2, 1928. He was the son of the late Harold and Evelyn Lewis Barnes. He was a lifetime resident of Clyde and a member of the Clyde United Methodist Church. He served in the United States Army from 1946 to 1948 and was a member of the American Legion Post 1. He was a past member of the VFW Post 908 in Newark. He retired from the Fold-Pak Co. of Newark, where he orked in production control. Interment in Rose cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Pauline "Polly" Lootens Barnes of Clyde; three daughters, Marlene (Gary) McIlwain of Newark, Brenda (Raymon) Hendershot and Sue (Steve) Ferguson, both of Clyde; sister, Elizabeth (Henry) DiSanto of Clyde and six granddaughters.

Weeks, Earle - Earle R. Weeks, 75, of Butternut Street, Lyons, died on September 26, 1998 at the DeMay Living Center, Newark after an extended illness. Earle was born in the Town of Rose on March 1, 1923 son of Russell and Hazel Boyle Weeks. He was a graduate of North Rose High School and Simmons School of Mortuary Science. He owned and operated the Weeks Funeral Home in Lyons for 46 years until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association and the NYS Funeral Directors Association in which he served as District Governor of District 7, also he was member of the Lyons Rotary Club, served as past President, and was honored by the Club in 1988 as a Paul Harris Fellow, a member of the Hook and Ladder Company of the Lyons Fire Department, Humanity Lodge 406 F&AM and Eureka Grange. Interment in South Lyons cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Thora Reynolds Weeks; daughters, Barbara (Bruce) Wilkins of Connecticut, Sharon (Anthony) Tiballi of Lyons, Dawn (Joe) Palmer of Batavia; six grandchildren; one uncle, Ernest Davey of Lyons, and cousins.

Epstein, Roy V. - Roy V. Epstein, 48, of Brantling Hill Road, Sodus, died on September 24, 1998 at Rochester General Hospital. Mr. Epstein was born in Brooklyn and was a resident of Sodus for 23 years. He was the son of Carl Epstein and the late Marion Kodish Epstein. He was a graduate of, Brockport State University and owned and operated the Roy V. Epstein Dental Lab in Webster. An avid mountain biker, he was a member of Rochester Bicycling Club. He was also a member of the Temple Beth El in Geneva. Interment in Glenwood cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Susan; a son, Keith, at Cornell University; a daughter, Margot, at home; his father, Carl Epstein of Toms River, NJ; a brother, Donald of Boulder, Colorado; nieces, nephews and cousins.
