Pauline was born the daughter of Oscar and Grace Young, September 6, 1925 in Clifton Springs. She retired from Seneca foods in Marion. Pauline was a devoted parishioner of St Michael's Church. Interment East Newark cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Joseph R. Burm of Port Gibson; son and daughter-in-law Joseph H. and Doris Burm of Newark; grandchildren, Kevin and Amy; sister Esther Blondell of CA; many nieces and nephews. Her son Christopher Burm predeceased Pauline in 1989.

Miller, Donald R. - Donald R. Miller, age 52, of Palmyra, died Friday, November 27, 1998. interment Palmyra cemetery.He is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Esther R.; sons, Donald R., Jr. of Newark, Brian who is in the Armed Services; step-daughter, Deborrah (Wayne) Mamroe of Macedon; four grandsons, Desmin, Jack, Frank and Malachi; granddaughter, Tessa; three great-grandsons, Malachi, Jr., Bradley and Phoenix; brother, Denny (Del) Miller of Palmyra; sister, Helen; half-sister, Debra (Walt) Lawson of Palmyra.

VanParys, John P. - John P. VanParys, age 85, of Port Gibson died Saturday, November 28, 1998. Interment at East Newark cemetery. He is survived by his daughter, Linda (Fay) Gallagher of Port Orange, FL; granddaughter, Lisa Bedette of Phelps; sister, Mildred Scherbyn of helps.

Stone, Margaret R. - Margaret R. Stone, formerly of Newark, died Thursday, November 26, 1998, at the Williamsport, PA, hospital. Mrs. Stone was born August 26, 1925, in Williamsport, PA, a daughter of Albert and Elnora Rightmire Holliday. Her husband, Frederick Stone, died in 1989. Interment in South Lyons cemetery. She is survived by twin sons, Chad and Jeff Stone; three grandchildren, one greatgrandchild, two sisters and one brother. Mrs. Stone was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters.

VandeViver, Peter J. - Peter J. VandeViver, 73, of Newark, died November 28, 1998. Mr. VandeViver was a veteran of WWII and a retired printer, who had worked for Baker-Britt Company in Newark. Private interment, Lake View cemetery, Pultneyville. He is survived by his beloved wife, Phyllis (Lagoner) VandeViver; daughter, Dawn (Carl) Levickas of Palmyra; grandson, Matt; sister, Mary VanDeViver of Newark; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary VandeViver, Dean and Mary Lagoner; nieces and nephews.

Cobb, Charles E. - Charles E. Cobb, 91, of West Melbourne, Florida, died on October 21, 1998. He was born January 1, 1907, in Rochester, the son of Charles and Jennie (Lannon) Cobb. He was a graduate of Newark High School, Class of 1923. Upon enlisting in the Marine Corps, Charles played football for four years on Marine teams at Parris Island and Quantico. He attended North Carolina State University, becoming captain of his football team and attaining All-American status at the tackle position. He was a 37-year member of the New York State Police, retiring in 1966 with the rank of lieutenant. Cobb was a descendant of pioneer settlers of Ontario County, Elisha Warren and Ann Johnson Cobb. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary (Goheen) Cobb, of West Melbourne; sons, Thomas Cobb of Bear Mountain, NY and Charles E. Cobb Jr. of Cobleskill; and a daughter-in-law, Tracy G. Cobb of Cobleskill.

Huber, Danielle Lee and Deary, Tyler - Danielle Lee Huber, 16, and Tyler Deary, infant died Monday, November 30, 1998 as a result of an automobile accident. Danielle was born the daughter of Kevin E. Huber and Rebbecca Mottler, June 10, 1982 in Okinawa, Japan. She was a Regents student at Newark High School. Danielle also attended modeling school in Pittsford. Danielle is survived by her mother Rebbecca and fiance John Smith; father Kevin E. (Penny) Huber; sisters, Amy, Brandy and Heather Huber; sister, Kelcey Edwards; brother, Kevin N. Huber; maternal grandparents, Gerald (Jeannine) Mottler; paternal grandparents, Edwin (Seungehe) Huber and Patricia (Rob) Magde; paternal great grandmother, Mary Shepard; nephew Gregory; special friend, Krista Conklin; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Tyler Deary, infant nephew to Danielle, is survived by his parents Brandy Huber and Trevor Deary; paternal grandmother, Joyce Deary.

Farace, Hazel M. - Hazel M. Farace, 75, died December 1, 1998. Interment in Oakwood cemetery. She was predeceased by her husband Michael Farace. Survived by daughters, Cheryl (Edward) Briggs of Rochester, and Gail (Alfonzo) Zappatte of Prattsburg; four grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Holderness of CA, Warren Holderness of NJ; two sisters, Connie Frank of Macedon, Carol Taber of Marion; sister-in-law, Nancy Holderness of Rochester; nieces and nephews.

Aiello, Edna Mae - Edna Mae Aiello of Newark, 76, died November 30, 1998. She was born June 23, 1922 in Brooklyn, to John and Mae Breslin Meeks. She was a member of St. Michael's Church. She is survived by a son, Thomas Jr., of Long Island; two sisters, Florence Martino, Newark, Dorothy Nellie, Long Island; 4 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Thomas in 1978.

Harrington, Anna M. - Anna M. Harrington, 77, of Norton Street, Newark, died Monday, November 30, 1998, at ViaHealth of Wayne. Anna was born in Clyde, on Nov. 8, 1921, the daughter of Phillip and Betina Caprilla Pacelli. She had lived in Lyons for 53 years, and in Newark for nine years. Interment in Elmwood cemetery, Lyons. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sarah (Frederick) Mays of Newark, and Mrs. Rose (George) Schuldt of Lyons; son, Arthur Jr. of Waterloo; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Eugene Landa of Philadelphia, PA; special companion, Howard Bowman of Newark; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Arthur, in 1973; daughter, Josephine in 1998; and grandson Frederick Mays, Jr. in 1997.

VanCaeseele, Dorothy M. - Dorothy M. VanCaeseele, 94, formerly of Rose Drive, Newark, died Sunday, November 22, 1998 at the Newark Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. VanCaeseele was born the daughter of Johannes F. and Louise M. Cauwels DeRoo on July 7, 1904 in the Town of Arcadia. She worked for Bloomer Bros. for many years. She and her husband retired as custodians from St. Michael's Church and school in 1972. Interment at Newark cemetery. She is survived by her nieces, Louise (Clifford) Galusha and Virginia Baker, both of Newark; nephew, Walter (JoAnn) VanCaeseele of Shortsville. She was predeceased by her husband, Rene VanCaeseele in July of 1983.

Bauer, Dora Mae (McComb) - Dora Mae Bauer, 69, died on November 19, 1998. Interment at Whitehaven Memorial Park. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Bernard Bauer; children, Sandra Dennis, Ann (David) Sewert, Bernard Jr. (Jean) Bauer, Pat (Scott) Trude; grandchildren, John Dennis, Jason Hawkins, Sara & Rachel Sewert, Carrie Bauer & Bernard Bauer III; three step-grandchildren, Joseph, Michael & Vincent Terrana; brothers & sisters, Frances Watkins, Jeanne (Richard) Labigan, Ruth (Gerald) Stahlecker, Donald (Carol) Buck, Harold (Sherry) Buck, Carol Hildebrand; brother-in-law, Harold Gee; and several nieces & nephews. Predeceased by her step-father, Charles Buck and sister, Doris Gee.

Purrington, James 'Sweet Pea' - James "Sweet Pea" Purrington, 64, of Old Lyons Road, died Thursday, November 19, 1998 at his home. James was born in Wilson, NC, Nov. 2, 1934, a son of James and Fannie Gill Purrington. He had worked at Seneca Foods in Newark and for Conrail. He had lived in the area for many years. Interment in South Lyons cemetery. James is survived by a good friend, Eula Mae Wellborn of Lyons; and a host of other friends.

Grant, John W. - John W. Grant, 42, of Washington Street, Newark, died on November 11, 1998, at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester. John was born in Rochester, October 19, 1956, son of James and Helen Pogel Grant. He had lived in Oswego, Rochester and Newark. John is survived by a daughter, Harley Nicole Grant; his companion, Georgina Serrano; his mother, Helen Grant; two sisters, Bonnie Carr and Mrs. Ken (Lynda) DelPapa, all of Newark; one brother, James of Rochester; aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, James, in 1989.

Fagner, Katherine J. - Katherine J. Fagner, 83, of Marion and Palmyra, died on November 13, 1998. Interment in Palmyra cemetery. She was born on July 21, 1915 in Manchester to John and Suzanna Boerman Jansen. She was retired from Garlock. She belonged to the Palmyra Moose and was a life member of the Wayne Co. Bowling Association. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest. Survivors include three sons, Ernest (Mary Ann) Fagner of Palmyra, Gerald D. Fagner of Palmyra, Charles (Patricia) Fagner of Shortsville; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; one brother, Peter (Elizabeth) Jansen of Marion; one sister, Sarah DeCook of Canandaigua; nieces and nephews.

Wilson, Earl S. - Earl S. Wilson, of Palmyra, 86, died on November 13, 1998. He was a WWII Veteran, a retired salesman for the Gulf Oil Company and a member of the Church of Christ, Newark. Interment in the Marion cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Grace L. (Kane) Wilson; son, Terry (Diane) Wilson; grandson, Richard (Marge) Wilson; great-grandson, Brody Wilson all of Williamson; sister, Hazel Villnow of Rochester; niece, Lorraine Kuhn of CT; grandnieces and nephews.

DeMinck, John Sr. - John DeMinck, Sr., 80, of Ontario, NY and New Port Richey, Florida, died on Nov. 13, 1998. Interment in Furnaceville cemetery, Ontario. He is survived by his wife, Rita DeMinck; daughter, Marilyn Brewer of Ontario; son, John DeMinck, Jr., of Marion; grandchildren, Mark (Julie) Brewer, Keith (Kathy) Brewer, Jeffery DeMinck; sister, Nellie Fisher; three great-granddaughters; several nieces and nephews. John is survived by Rita's five children and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Marianne Luke.

Dyson, Lucille M. - Lucille M. Dyson, 82, of South Main Street, Newark, died on November 16, 1998, at the DeMay Living Center. Lucille was born in Newark Jan. 5, 1916, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Synesael Wiebeld. In her earlier years she had worked in the nursery for C.H. Stuart Company. She was a member of St. Michael's Church and she served as coordinator, chairman, and fund representative for the Fresh Air Fund. Interment in Newark cemetery. Lucille is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Mary) Miner of Honeoye, and Mrs. Peter (Barbara) Dyson-Arnitz of Kato; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; two sisters, Madeline Collins of Newark, and Shirley Moriarty of Greece. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred, in 1969; and brothers, Joseph and James Wiebeld.

Soucy, Jack Ronald - Jack Ronald Soucy, 10, died November 16, 1998. He lived in Walworth. Jack was a fifth grader at the Freewill Elementary School. Interment at Macedon Center cemetery. Jack is survived by his parents, Mark and Lisa Soucy; brother, Mark Jr., all of Walworth; his maternal and paternal grandparents, Ronald and Joan Soucy of Walworth, Diane and Michael Thornton of Florida, Beverly and James Amos of Palmyra, Jack and Kathy Hack of Vernon, NY; his godparents, Jill Wing of Marion and Maurice "Moose" Soucy of Rochester; aunts and uncles, Jill and Kevin Wing of Marion, Alby and Vera Hack of Fairville, Vicki and Marty Soucy of Ontario, Mike and Dana Soucy of Ontario, Michele and David Steves of Ontario, Maurice "Moose" Soucy of Rochester; many cousins; great aunts and uncles great grandparents; best friend, Matt Merz of Walworth and many other friends.

LoMaglio, Alfred - Alfred LoMaglio, 71, died on Nov. 17, 1998 after a brief illness. Alfred was retired from Rochester Telephone in 1982, and a veteran of WWII and the Korean War.He is survived by Shirley, his wife of 42 years; sons, Al (Leigh) LoMaglio of Marion, Matthew (Amy) LoMaglio of Ft. Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Alfie, Cristen, Tony, Jennifer, Paul, Tom and Jacob; devoted friends, Dave and Nancy Walshvelo, Michele (Rich) Herbst, Tracy and Tami Walshvelo; brother, Samuel (Mary) LoMaglio of Tucson; sister, Josephine Lacagnina of Tucson; sister-in-law, Julia LoMaglio of Rochester; nieces and nephews; loving father-in-law William (Lois) Makin of Rochester.

Cooney, Dennis J. - Dennis J. Cooney, of Marion, died November 15, 1998. Mr. Cooney was a graduate of Rochester Instutitue of Technology and a member of The Rochester Art Club. He was retired from the Advertising Dept. of The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle. He is survived by his wife, Sheila; daughters, Sylvia (Bruce) Austin; son Dennis (Kimberly) Cooney; son James Cooney and Caroline Kenneally; grandchildren, Michael, Andrea and Claudia; nieces, Diane LeClair and Marlene Miller; brother, William (Charlotte) Cooney; several nieces and nephews.

Francis, Robert D. - Robert D. Francis, 71, of Palmyra, died November 17, 1998. Interment in Palmyra cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Eloise; sons, Robert Jr. (Deborah) and Steven of Palmyra; brother, Ron (Donna) Francis of Marion; sisters, Esther Murray of Victor, Marion (George) Brown of Canandaigua, and Eileen Francis of Dryden; grandchildren, Lynn Angarano and Chris Francis; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Prutzman, Earl D. "Gus" - Earl D. Prutzman, 86, of Charlotte St., Newark, died November 5, 1998 at the Canandaigua Veterans Hospital. Mr. Prutzman was born Sept. 25, 1912 in Lewisburg, PA, the son of George and Eva Moury Prutzman. He had worked at the V.A. Hospital in Canandaigua, the Newark Developmental Center, and retired from the Newark Post Office in 1973, where he had been a postal clerk for 25 years. He was a member of the Retired Federal Employee Association, and the Finger Lakes Law Enforcement Association. Gus was also a member of the August Mauer Post American Legion, and a life member of the Arcadia Memorial Post V.F.W. During World War II, he was a medical corpsman with the Navy and was attached to the Marine Corps during the Normandy invasion. Interment in Newark cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Thelma (Gillard) Prutzman; a sister, Betty (John) Shawcross of Camillus; and several nieces and nephews. Gus was predeceased by a brother, John Prutzman; and sisters, Miriam Trowbridge, Theresa Brown, and Jane Pulver.
