Anderson; daughters, Jennie (LaVern) DeLyser of Williamson, Barbara Anderson of Marion; grandchildren, Gary (Pam) DeLyser of Williamson, Annette (Curt) Lange of Marion; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, James (Anna) DeVoogt of Marion, several nieces and nephews.

Collier, Eleanor M. (Cooney) - Eleanor M. (Cooney) Collier, 69, of Williamson, died August 27, 1999. She was Secretary to the Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America of Upstate NY Synod, a member of Pultneyville United Methodist Church and the Williamson Eudora Rebekah Lodge. Interment in Lakeview cemetery, Pultneyville. She is survived by her son, Brian (Donna) Collier of Ontario; daughter, Brenda (Mike) Gowan of Williamson; 4 grandchildren, Jenne, Christopher, Stephanie, and Chad; mother, Helen Cooney of Williamson; sisters, Pearl Eaton of Williamson, Arlene (Earl) Hubright of Pultneyville; brother, Roger (Carol) Cooney of Williamson; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Deys, Dorothy W. - Dorothy W. Deys, 77, died August 29, 1999. Interment in Palmyra cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, William; son David (Christine) Deys of Lockport; grandchildren, Jessica & Matthew Deys; sister, Esther (Elwyn) VerHow of Palmyra; brother, Donald (Beverly) Wilkinson of Palmyra; several nieces & nephews.

Dey, Kenneth C. - Kenneth C. Dey, 83, of Palmyra, died Thursday, August 26, 1999. Kenneth was a member of the Newark Elks Lodge, VFW, Quarter Century Club of NYSEG. He was retired in 1978 from NYSEG after 43 years. He was a graduate of Newark High School class of 1934, and was a Merit Cup Award winner. He was also a member of Palmyra Western Presbyterian Church. Interment in East Palmyra cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mildred (Mickey); daughter, Sandra of Greensboro, NC; sister, Pauline (Harry) VandeMortel of FL; several nieces and nephews. Kenneth was predeceased by his sister Millie VanHoesen, and brothers Nelson and Forrest Dey.

Welcher, Joyce S. - Joyce S. Welcher, 85, of Newark and Rochester, died August 29, 1999, at the Brightonian Nursing Home in Rochester. Mrs. Welcher was born in Newark on Sept. 17, 1913, daughter of Alfred and Emily Marshall Scarth. Mr. and Mrs. Welcher were the last owners of the family farm just north of Newark, on which Hereford cattle were raised. There was also a feedlot, slaughterhouse, meat shop and locker plant on the premises. Joyce was the bookkeeper for the entire farm operation. The Welchers retired to Florida for 18 years before returning to Rochester. At the time of her husband Ronald's death two years ago, the couple had been married 57 years. She was an active Republican party worker and an avid duplicate bridge player. Joyce was a member of the Park Presbyterian Church in Newark and the Newark Garden Club. Interment in the Newark cemetery. She is survived by two sons, Robert of Syracuse and William of Rochester; five grandchildren, Susan, Dianne, David, Stephen and Jeff; and a brother, Alfred Scarth of Fernandina Beach, FL.

Calhoon, Shirley M. - Shirley M. Calhoon, 84, of Phelps, died Aug. 29, 1999, at the House of John in Clifton Springs. Shirley was born May 23, 1915, in Waterloo, daughter of Clarence and Mary Ridley. She had lived in the Phelps area since 1953. She had worked at C.H. Stuart in Newark. Interment in Oaklawn cemetery. She is survived by her children, Dolores McWilliams of Clifton Springs, Emily (Carl) DeRuyter of Spencerport, Carol (William) Conklin of Phelps, Brenda (Allan) Swayse of New Hampshire, Pauline (Norman) Matthew of Victor and Bruce (Candice) Gordon of Spencerport;15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two sisters, June Goodman of Phelps and Frances (Richard) Hauf of Waterloo; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Horace Greeley Smith in 1949; and her second husband, Vernon Calhoon in 1975.

Markel, Randolph - Randolph 'Randy' Scott Markel, 18, of Lyons, died August 29, 1999. He died at Strong Memorial Hospital. Randy was born Sept. 29, 1980, in Geneva, son of Scott and Michelle Osgerhout Markel. He was employed at Peter C. Herman Inc. in Marion, where he made wooden pallets. Interment in the Elmwood cemetery, Lyons. He is survived by his fiancee, Kim Kirchneyer of Buffalo; a son, Brandon; his father, Scott Markel of Lyons; his mother, Mickie (LeRoy) Leggs of Illinois; brothers, James Durham and Michael Osgerhout, both of Illinois; paternal grandmother, Marie Crane; paternal greatgrandmother, Dorothy Hutchinson; aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Lloyd Markel; paternal greatgrandfather, George 'Shorty' Hutchinson; and maternal grandparents, Richard and Ursula Osgerhout.

Dubois, Jacob A. - Jacob A. Dubois, 87, of Newark, died Aug. 28, 1999. Jacob was a Gleason Works retiree. He was also a member of the Arcadia Senior Citizens. Interment in Marion cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Grace Dubois; daughter, Patricia VanDeusen of Texas; daughter-in-law, Dolores Dubois of East Williamson; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Nico Dubois of Canada; sisters, Margaret and Elizabeth of the Netherlands; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Richard Dubois.

Hamelinck, Bert - Bert Hamelinck, 88, of Newark, died Aug, 29., 1999, at Rochester General Hospital. Mr. Hamelinck was born Jan. 14, 1911, in Holland, the son of John and Emma Ritco Hamelinck. He retired from Fold-Pak, where he had been a truck driver for over 35 years. He was also a member of St. Michael's Church. Interment in Marion cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lavina; brother, August (Inez) Hamelinck; sister, Bertha Claeys, all of Newark; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents and brothers Willard (1989), Thomas and Jacob (both 1999).

Rich, Harry E. - Harry E. Rich, 78, of Marion, died August 20, 1999. Mr. Rich was a Marion Town Justice for 20 years, former chair of Marion Republican Party, owner of Caldwell Place, a Century Farm. He served 20 years on Wayne Co. Youth Board, was a member of the Marion Fire Dept., 30 years on National Ski Patrol, and 50 years in the Masonic Lodge. He was involved with the Marion Bicentennial and Sesquicentennial programs. He loved history and authentic colonial crafts. Interment in Marion cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Ellen Young Rich; his daughter, Martha; sister, Angie (Robert) Terbush of Ontario; nieces and nephews.

White, Pauline V. - Pauline V. White, 79, of 3 Franklin St., died Friday, August 20, 1999 at the Clifton Springs Hospital and Clinic. Mrs. White was born on Sept. 30, 1919, in Phelps, the daughter of Peter and Stephanie VerBeke VerStraete. She was a member of the Phelps American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and St. Francis Church. She was retired from the Newark Developmental Center. Interment in St. Francis cemetery. She is survived by her son, Stuart (Ruth) White of Bayswater, Australia; daughter, Fay White of Phelps; her faithful friend and companion John Marsh; five nephews.

Morgan, Beverly S. Keener - Beverly S. Keener Morgan, 76, of Fairville, died Monday, August 23, 1999 at the DeMay Living Center. Bev was born the daughter of Leslie and Beatrice Howell Stark on December 27, 1922 in Ithaca, New York. She worked as an assembler at IBM before she and her late husband started 'Keener Industrial Cleaning' in Rochester. Interment at Marion cemetery. Bev is survived by her daughters, Eydie (Bill) Chamberlin of Newark and Linda (Jerry) Salber of Rochester; stepson, Woody (Grace) Keener of Naples; grandsons, Jeff, James (Stephanie), Jason Chamberlin and Jesse Salber; great grandchildren Natalie, Steven and Shawn Chamberlin; step grandchildren Gary (Julie) Keener, Jenny, Savannah and Hayley Keener; sisters, Josephine Lewey and Vail (Hugh) Martin; several nieces and nephews. Bev is predeceased by her first husband, Ralph H. Keener in 1970; second husband, Ernest Morgan in 1993; brothers, James, Gardner, Leslie and Alan Stark.

Luteyn, Mary - Mary Luteyn, 93, of Marion, died August 23, 1999. Interment, Marion cemetery. She was predeceased by her husband, Abram. Survived by her son, Donald (Clara) Luteyn of Marion; 3 grandchildren, Donald Jr. of Newark, Jacqueline McLaughlin of Newark, Donald Finewood of Marion; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild, 1 great-great-great-grandchild.

Reppi, Joyce M. - Joyce M. Reppi, 72, of Greig St., Sodus Point, died August 24, 1999 in Strong Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Reppi was an art teacher for 38 years. Interment in Sodus Rural cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Carmen; 2 children, Carmen Edward James 'Ted' (Stacey) of Wolcott, and Trudi of Sodus Point; 2 grandchildren, Dominick and Alexandria; nieces and nephews.

Boerman, Elizabeth K. - Elizabeth K. Boerman, 85, of Marion, died on August 11, 1999. Interment in Marion cemetery. She is survived by a son, Richard (Patricia) Boerman; grandchildren, Susan (Edward) Sherman, Gerald (Kathy) Boerman; a sister, Esther VanHove; great-grandchildren, James Mooney, Jacob Boerman, Randi and Ed Sherman. She was predeceased by her husband Jacob.

Evans, Laramie G. - Laramie G. Evans, 83, of Cherry Street, Lyons, died Thurs., August 12, 1999, at ViaHealth of Wayne, Newark Campus. Mr. Evans was born Nov. 1, 1915, in England, son of Albert and Rae Newman Evans. He was a trainer and breeder of race horses. In his earlier years, he had a great interest in baseball and was a pitcher. He wrote for the Blood Horse and the Thoroughbred Record newspapers. He served in the Army during World War II. He was also a member of St. Michael's Church in Lyons. Interment in Rural cemetery in Lyons. He is survived by his loving and devoted daughter and son-in-law, Larry Ann Evans and Ignacio Calvo of Lyons; son, Barry Kent Evans of Chicago, Ill.; grandson, Alexander Calvo of Lyons; two sisters, Cecilia Evans of San Diego, CA, and Millie Landis of FL; brother, Perry of Plainview, Long Island; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased bu his wife, Ann Collins Evans, who died on Jan. 6, 1999.

Rivera, Maria - Maria Rivera, 49, of East Miller St., Newark, died August 9, 1999 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester. Maria was born in Puerto Rico on July 12, 1950, the daughter of Efrain and Haydee Irizarry Rivera. She had worked at Newark Florists for nine years. Maria is survived by a brother Jose Rivera, New York City, and nieces and nephews.

Sommers, Benjamin - Benjamin Sommers, 73, of Newark, died August 14, 1999 at Via Health of Wayne, Newark Campus. Ben was born, the son of Benjamin and Marion Campbell Sommers, October 3, 1925 in Tonawanda, New York. He was a baseball lover and collected many baseball cards. He had spent most of his life in the Newark area. Interment in the East Newark cemetery.He is survived by his brother John Sommers of Newark and many friends.

VanDuser, Grace Adams - Grace Adams VanDuser died at her home on August 16, 1999. Mrs. VanDuser was born in Chaumont, NY, the daughter of El Nathan and Luella Butter Lucas. She was a graduate of Canton College of Technology (Dietitian), the former Director of The American Cancer Society (Wayne County Unit). She did research on the National Cancer Survey for several years, was the former Chairman of the Sodus Town Health Committee and the Sodus Loan Closet; was a director of the Wayne County Health Association (TB and Heart), and the Wayne County Cancer Society, former Member of the Worm Wood Twig and Director for three years and Vice Chairman for one year of the Myers Community Hospital Twig Assoc. She was in charge 'Books Sandwiched In' for several years at the Sodus Free Library. She was a 50-year member of The Eastern Star, the Grange and The First United Presbyterian Church of Sodus. She was former chairperson of the Church Women's Association and served as a Deacon and Elder. She was a member of the Wayne County Historical Society and the Sodus Bay Historical Society, a former member of the Tuesday Club of Newark and the Newark Country Club. She was a former member of the Cornell Lab Ornithology Sap Sucker Woods. Interment in Sodus Rural cemetery. She was predeceased by her husband E. Norris VanDuser and her sister, Juliette E. Galbraith. She is survived by 7 nieces and nephews, Orville (Mary) VanDuser of Phelps, Connie Hamilton of Seneca Falls, Jack (Sharon) VanDuser of Webster, Ellen (Michael) Hopkins of Lexington, VA, Sue (Tim) Pitler of Canandaigua, Walter (Carol Sue) Muth of Sodus, Marilyn Wilson of Newark; sister-in-law, Maryse VanDuser; cousins, Kathryne Larmonth of Watertown, Neva Jones of Kalispell, MT., and Mildred Nutter of Gig Harbor, WA

VanHanehan, John G. Jr. - John G. VanHanehan, Jr., 91, of Lyons, died Wednesday, August 18, 1999 at the Wayne County Nursing Home. Interment in Newark cemetery. Mr. VanHanehan was born the son of John G. and Suzanna DeBryne VanHanehan on September 21, 1907 in Newark. He worked and retired from Newark Developmental Center as a mechanic. He married Mary Anna Martin on February 10, 1931. Survivors include his daughter, Gail West of Fairport; grandchildren, Mark West and Shelly West; great-grandsons Victor and Donald West; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Howard Armstrong and Alice Teagarden and many friends and caregivers. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary, on December 19, 1996 and his sister Mary Heinrich in 1996.

Hill, Edith L. - Edith L. Hill, 74, died August 16, 1999 at Via Health of Wayne - Newark. Edith was born to Robert and Gertrude Rickert Hill on January 23, 1925 in Niagara Falls, New York. She has spent most of his life in the Lyons and Newark areas. Interment at the Tuscarora Indian Reservation cemetery in Lewistown, NY. She is survived by her sister Roberta Allen of Kent, Washington; brother, Howard Hill of Lewiston, New York; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Beagle, Stanley M. - Stanley M. Beagle, 47, of Marion died on August 5, 1999. He was a Vietnam Marine Veteran. Interment Marion cemetery. He is survived by his wife Bonnie Kennedy Beagle; 3 children, Jenny, Jeffery and Carrie; 4 step-children, David, Michelle, Jimmie, Terrie; 5 grandchildren; his mother, Mary Beagle; sister Janet (John) Fus of Walworth- 2 brothers-in-law, Wayne Kennedy of Macedon and Rudy Forgensi of Webster.
