Main, Roland M. - Roland F. Main of Macedon, died May 14, 2000, at age 86. Interment in Macedon cemetery. Roland is survived by his son, Francis (Marilyn) Man of Oviedo, FL; daughter, Mary Jane (Les) Beach of Marion; son-in-law, Robert Martin of Palmyra; 12 grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; sister, Elsie Warren; sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth and daughter, Arlene Martin.

L'Amoreaux, Marion - Marion L'Amoreaux, 94, formerly of Newark and Rochester, died May 15, 2000 at the Ontario County Health Facility. Miss L'Amoreaux was born and went to school in Spencer, New York. She received a teaching degree from the Oneonta Normal School and a Master's degree from Syracuse University. She taught English for 31 years at Newark High School, was head of the English Department and served as director of the High Times page of the Newark Courier-Gazette. After retirement in 1960, Miss L'Amoreaux went to teach at the Rochester Institute of Technology, teaching reading to college students at the R.I.T. Counseling Center. While at Newark High School, she was recognized for her broadmindedness, her natural ability to understand her pupils, her loyality, and her sense of humor. She was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church on East Avenue in Rochester. Interment at the Evergreen cemetery in Spencer, NY. Miss L'Amoreaux is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Clara and John Palmer of Canandaigua, several nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews.

Frey, Gerald Arthur - Gerald 'Gerry' A. Frey, 85, of Ryder Rd., Newark, died May 15, 2000 at the Via-Health of Newark. Gerry was born the son of Charles and Luetta Steele Frey on September 17, 1914 in Town of Arcadia. He graduated from Newark's Washington High School in 1932. He was involved with grain, cattle, and dairy farming most of his life. Gerry worked at Francis Metal Corp. and retired from Rando Machine Corp. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Fairville Fire Dept., and Newark Grange #366 for 25 years. Gerry is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jeanne Brightman Frey; daughter, Susan (Bradley) DeWispelaere of Lockport; sons, William, Gerald (Nancy), both of Newark, James (Sandra) of Fairport, and Dr. David (Mary) Frey of Syracuse; nine grandchildren, Scott Christopher, Ruth Ann, Daniel, Matthew and Ethan Frey, Karen, Jackie and Alan DeWispelaere; brother, Charles (Dorothy) Frey of Sodus; sister-in-law, June Frey of Fairport; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Elwyn Frey and a sister, Vida Petersen.

Miles, Barbara Ann - Barbara A. Miles, 49, formerly of Hoffman St., Newark, died May 15, 2000, at Genesee Hospital in Rochester. Barb was born the daughter of Floyd and Alberta Cotton Bateman on April 17, 1951 in Warsaw, NY. She attended Newark Assembly of God Church on Lincoln Avenue. Interment, East Newark cemetery. She is survived by her brother, Raymond Cotton of Newark; sisters Annabelle of East Aurora and Emily Heers of Palmyra; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Miles, on May 16, 1998.

DeWeaver, Mary Margaret - Mary Margaret DeWeaver, 53, of Clifton Springs/Newark, died May 16, 2000, at the Clifton Springs Hospital. Mary was born on November 16, 1946, the daughter of Lawrence and Thelma Lord DeWeaver. She had lived in the Newark area all her life and was employed as an attendant with the Newark Development Center. She was a member of St. Michael's Church. Interment, Newark cemetery. Mary is survived by her son, David, of Newark; sister, Jeane (Peter) Ziccardi of Marilla, NY; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father on Jan. 18, 2000, her mother on Jan. 9, 1997, and sister, Joan Stone, in 1987.

Dayton, Mildred R. - Mildred Fisher Dayton, 92, formerly of Newark, died May 18, 2000, at the Wayne County Nursing Home. Mrs. Dayton was born to William and Elizabeth Tellier Fisher on March 30, 1908 in Arcadia. She graduated from Newark High School in 1925. She continued her education at the Sodus Training School, Class of 1926, and then at Brockport State Teachers College. Mrs. Dayton taught for 16 years in rural schools in the Town of Arcadia, which included Sand Hill School No. 14, and School No. 9. She became a member of the First Baptist Church of Newark on Jan. 9, 1929. She was also a member of the Arcadia Teachers Associations. Interment, Marion cemetery. She is survived by her special friends: Roy (Mary) Wilck, Carolyn (Gordon) Adriaansen, Barbara (William) DeWandel, Nancy (Eugene) Smith and Linda Roeland; and many cousins. She was predeceased by husband Peter Dayton on Sept. 24, 1980.

Pulcini, Bernard - Bernard Pulcini, Jr., 67, of Palmyra, died suddenly on May 17, 2000, at home. He was a lifelong resident of Palmyra, owner and operator of Pulcini's Junkyard for many years. He loved hunting and gardening. Interment in Palmyra cemetery. He is survived by his wife Thelma; eight children and their mother Lois Pulcini - Debbie (Rick) Walton, Pamela (Ed) Yackel, Tammy (Bill) Bement, David Pulcini, Tina (Bob) Bailey, Lisa (Dave) Rosato, Susan (Danny) Johnson, Jodi (Tom) Harris; children, Jim (Jana) Lowery, Evelyn Lowery; 29 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brothers, Walt (Harriet) Pulcini, Henry (Linda) Pulcini, Frank (Minnie) Pulcini, Albert (Yolanda) Pulcini; sisters, Betty Thompson, Nita Orlopp, Elvira (Joe) Gala; sister-in-law Doris Pulcini; brother-in-law Gersham Yahn. Bernard was predeceased by brother, Floyd Pulcini and sister, Margaret Yahn.

Lagana, Rose - Rose C. Lagana, 96, died May 20, 2000. Interment in Newark cemetery. She is survived by her son, John (Marylou) Lagana, MD; daughter, Joanne Iati of Pittsford; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Michael (Wanda) Colacino, FL and Anthony Colacino, Newark; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John Sr.; son-in-law, Dr. Anthony Iati; granddaughter, Susan Iati.

Smith, Robert F. - Robert F. Smith, 75, died May 19, 2000. He was a retired Macedon School maintenance man and a war veteran. He is survived by his companion, Debbie LeMay; five daughters, Paulette (Jim) Cook of West Columbia, SC, Gloria (Harold) Griffin of Manchester, Lynda Finley of Shortsville, Kathie Smith (Chris Bavis) of Hammondsport and Joyce Smith of Palmyra; two sons, Wesley (Nina) Smith of Spring Hill, FL and Scott (Amy) Smith of Palmyra; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a brother, William (Elma) Smith of Palmyra; nieces and nephews.

Braselton, Kristopher - Kristopher Braselton, 26, died suddenly after a car accident on May 21, 1000. He is survived by his parents, Raymond and Susan Braselton of Marion; Jean Braselton of Webster; two brothers, Kurt Braselton and Karl Brazelton of Richmond, VA; sister, Kateri Braselton, Marion; grandparents, William and Helen Schreiber, Webster; Eugene and Sally Braselton, Macedon; stepsister, Stacy Blaisdell, Savannah; stepbrother, Nicholas Blaisdell, Rocky Mount, NC; aunts, uncles, cousins.

Arnold, Carolyn Jean - Carolyn Jean Arnold, 49, of Newark, died May 23, 2000 at the House of John in Clifton Springs. Carolyn was born May 20, 1951 in Lyons to Raymond and Jean West Canne. She worked for Fold-Pak Corp. in the office for 10 years. She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church. Interment, East Newark cemetery. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Lyle Arnold; her son, David Arnold; her father, Raymond (Edith) Canne of Newark; sister, Susan (Jim) Mason of Lyons; niece, Marcie Mason and nephew, Alan Mason; special friends, Barb and John Moon, Glenn Leary and Peggy Brown. She was predeceased by her mother Jean Ann Canne in 1980.

Eklund, Dorothy (nee Davidson) - Dorothy (nee Davidson) Eklund, 77, of Maywood, NJ, born in Newark, NY, died May 22, 2000. She was active in Bergen County Retired Education Association, AARP Paramus Chapter #3834, and a member of Mary Elizabeth Alter Guild, and Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. She is survived by her husband Nils Eklund; children, Mark (Lynnette) Eklund of Massillon, OH, Linda (Daniel) Hazekamp of Allentown, PA and Lisa (Edwin) Truitt of New Gretna, NJ; six grandchildren.

Lonneville, Raymond - Raymond F. Lonneville, 85, of Palmyra/Manchester, died May 26, 2000. Ray was a life member of Newark Lodge 1249 B.P.O.E. and Palmyra Moose Lodge 1420. He was a World War II Army veteran and member of the James Hickey American Legion Post of Palmyra. Interment at St. Anne's cemetery in Palmyra. Ray is survived by his wife of 63 years, Helen; children, Roger (Rita) Lonneville and Nancy (Bob) Hauser; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Lansberry, Rebecca - Rebecca A. Lansberry, 89, of Dobbs Ferry, NY, formerly of Newark, died May 24, 2000 at the Montefore Hospital, in the Bronx. She was born on July 20, 1910 in Woodland, PA, a daughter of the late Josiah M. and Maude I. (Shirey) Evans. Mrs. Lansberry retired in 1975 from Sarah Coventry. Prior to that she was employed by the Newark State School and the Stuart Nursery. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Newark, and the Methodist Quilters. She also was an active member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and a member of the Mellow Dears, a senior band group. She enjoyed making arts and crafts, camping, and making desserts. Interment is in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde, Pennsylvania. She is survived by children, Carolyn Lansberry of Dobbs Ferry, Marilyn Lansberry of Palmdale, CA, Milton Lansberry of Jamestown; grandchildren, Tami Lansberry of Newark and Timothy Lansberry of Milford, Ohio. She was predeceased by her husband, Breon L. Lansberry, son Sheldon Lansberry, and brother Milton Evans.

Gonska, Theresa - Theresa Gonska, 84, of Newark, died May 28, 2000 at the Wayne Co. Nursing Home. Mrs. Gonska was born in Austria, the daughter of Paul and Maria Zainer. She is survived by her companion of many years, Max McClellan; 3 sons, Hans (Anni) Zainer of Austria, Ludwig (Carol) Sailer of NJ, Otto (Patty) Staszka of NJ; daughter, Helen (Harry) Sherman of Lyons;, nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; four sisters in Austria. Interment in the Marion cemetery

Barnmaker, Russell 'Barney' - Russell 'Barney' M. Barnmaker, 89, formerly of Palmyra, died May 25, 2000, at the Wayne County Nursing Home. Mr. Barnmaker was born Nov. 2, 1910 in Newark, to Harry and Rosa Puls Barnmaker. He attended the Palmyra United Methodist Church. For several years he owned and operated Barney's Service Station in Lyons, leaving in 1961. He then worked at Sears in Rochester, retiring in 1976. The Marine Corps flag was flown in honor of his service in the South Pacific during World War II. Interment in Newark cemetery. Mr. Barnmaker is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Steve Smart of South Carolina; grandchildren, Mickey and Bradd Cox, and Debbie (Tim) Brennan, all of Georgia; sisters, Lillian Strong and Myrtle Bloom, both of Newark; nieces and nephews. Mr. Barnmaker was predeceased by his wife, Helen Lewis Barnmaker, on Dec. 12, 1986.

Suchetzky, Mary Rita - Mary Rita Suchetzky, 72, of Newark and Lyons, died May 28, 2000, at ViaHealth Newark. Mary was born May 22, 1928 in Lockport. She attended programs at the Wayne ARC in Newark. Interment in Elmwood cemetery, Lyons. She is survived by her sister, Cecila Suchetzky of Seneca Falls; her family care provider, Tammy Colburn and her family of Phelps; and many friends at the ARC. She was predeceased by her mother, Genevieve Suchetzky in October 1994.

Jackson, Josephine E. -Josephine E. Jackson, 86, of Marion and Newark, died May 31, 2000. She retired from the Columbia Civic Center, K of C in 1965. She is survived by son, George Swift of Canandaigua; nieces Joan Croxson of Webster and Sandra Krockenberger of Brockport; five great-nieces; her husband Marvin Jackson passed away in 1986.

DeVall, Gladys M. - Gladys M. DeVall, 73, of Newark, died at Newark Manor Nursing Home June 2, 2000. Interment in Glenside cemetery, Wolcott. She is survived by her son, Donald of Canandaigua; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Vollertsen of Newark; three sisters, Barbara Howe of Newark, Shirley Houck of Newark, Patricia Klever of Palmyra; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Donald in 1997, and by a sister, Christine Huling.

Walter, Lillian B. - Lillian B. Walter, 87, of Johnson City, NY died May 24, 2000. Interment in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. She was a former Newark resident and member of the Washington High School Class of 1932. Lillian was the daughter of Will and Bessie Smith. She is survived by her husband, Hector Walter; a brother, Laverne Smith of North Main St., Newark; cousins, nieces and nephews.

Teufel, Robert J. - Robert J. 'Bob' Teufel, 72, died June 3, 2000 in Aberdeen, Maryland, while attending his sister's 50th wedding anniversary party. Bob was born to Walter and Marjorie Singiser Teufel on January 27, 1928 in Wilmington, Delaware. He owned and operated a Carvel Ice Cream store on East Henrietta Road for many years. Then he drove school bus for Newark Central School and retired in November 1999. Interment in Newark cemetery. Bob is survived by his wife, Nancy Wyant Teufel; son John (Elizabeth) Teufel of Phelps; daughters Janet Teufel of Phelps, JoAnn (Robert) Cummings of Corfu, and Carol (Jim) Provoost of Newark; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; brother Neil (Lois) Teufel of PA.; sisters Jean Earl of PA, and Joyce (Wayne) Goodson of NJ; many nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his brother-in-law Ira Earl in November 1999.
