Survived by her children Helen Herman, Don White, Frank White, Delbert Cody; 5 grandchildren, including Kimberly Rice; 5 great grandchildren; 2 great, great grandchildren; sisters, Betty (Charles) Miner, Anita Pierce; numerous nieces, nephews; special friends, Ernastine Nagle, Shirley Wentz. While enjoying her retirement, Rhoda kept busy as a volunteer at RSVP, her Saturday morning coffee club and spending time with her family and extended family at Towpath Manor. PALMYRA - passed away peacefully on September 25, 2011 at age 81. Survived by his loving companion of 40 years, Helga; children, Petra (Steve), Shawn (Tammy); grandchildren, Daniel, Hannah, Joshua, Ryan; brothers-in-law, Horst (Pat) Merkl, Adam (Erica) Dorst; many relatives & friends. In 1994 Dan retired from NYS Dept. of Transportation after 25 years. His love & passion was the Palmyra Community Center Cardio Room, where he worked for the past 12 years. All are invited to call 4-7PM Wednesday at McGUIRE/HARGRAVE & MURPHY FUNERAL HOME 123 East Jackson St., Palmyra, where his Funeral Service will be held 10AM Thursday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Palmyra Community Center in his memory.

Klaeysen, Irene Ellen (O’Keefe)

PALMYRA - Died on September 22, 2011. Born May 22, 1920 in Palmyra, the oldest child of Mary McGuire & J. Thomas O’Keefe. She was predeceased by 3 siblings, Marie Pelletier & Betty Vienna of Palmyra, & Rev. Thomas O’Keefe. Irene graduated from Palmyra Classical High School in 1938 with a degree in business. She married William Klaeysen in 1947 & was employed as a secretary in the law department of Garlock Corporation until her retirement in 1982. She volunteered with Kings Daughters & St. Anne’s Church where she was a lifelong communicant. In addition to her husband, she is survived by 4 children, Anne (Glenn Newman) of Brooklyn, Helen (John O’Grady) & John (Theresa Ritrovato) of Albany, Paul of Chicago; 4 grandchildren, Andrew & Emily Newman, Christopher & Ryan Klaeysen; many cousins, nieces & nephews. The family would like to thank Connie, Debbie & April for their care of Irene & their kindness to the family. Friends are invited to call 2-4 & 7-9PM on Sunday (9/25) at McGUIRE & HARGRAVE FUNERAL HOME, 123 E. Jackson St., Palmyra. Her Funeral Mass will be held 10AM Monday (9/26) at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, St. Anne’s Church, Palmyra, followed by her Committal Service at St. Anne’s cemetery. ONTARIO - passed away peacefully on Monday, September 19, 2011 at age 92. Predeceased by his loving wife of 58 years Vicki; grandson Peter; sister Edna; brothers & sisters-in-law, Irving & Del of FL, Martin & Peg of Rochester, Carol of CA. Survived by daughter Jan Beneway of Ontario NY; son Richard S. of Ridgway PA; grandchildren Michael (Terri) Beneway of Rochester NY, Mary (Christopher) Miller of Albuquerque NM, Katie Chipman of Bergen NY; brother David of CA; many nieces, nephews, other relatives & close friends. Reeve, Esther Bills

MACEDON - passed away on September 19, 2011 at age 86. Predeceased by her husband Robert Reeve in 1980; several brothers & sisters. Survived by her son Ronald (Lorraine) Reeve of Marcellus, NY; daughter Barbara (John) Krebbeks of Canandaigua, NY; granddaughters, Jennifer Reeve (Scott Adelmann), Kelly Krebbeks, Amy Reeve (Eric Zimmerman), Megan Krebbeks; sister Hazel Gannon; several nieces & nephews. Esther was a life resident of Macedon, employed at Kordite, retired from Crosman Arms & worked part time at Spring Valley Greenhouses. She enjoyed gardening & spending time with her family & friends. No prior calling or Funeral Service. Interment will be held privately at North Farmington Friends cemetery. Donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association in her memory.
