Joe was loved by all & will be greatly missed. He was a car dealer for over 50 years. He lived every second of his life to the fullest! After 33 years in education, he retired as principal of Palmyra Elementary School in 1995.

ONTARIO - Past away suddenly on Dec. 10, 2011 at age 68 in Raleigh, NC. Predeceased by his wife Carol & parents Frank & Mary Maletta. Survived by sons, John, Jr., & Mark Maletta; sister Cora Stavalone; brothers Sam (Cecilia) Maletta, Joe (Cathy) Maletta; nephews Tony (Lori), John (Carol) Stavalone, Rob, Joseph, Frank Maletta; nieces Jeanna Marie, Elizabeth Maletta. John grew up in Ontario, NY, attended Wayne Central HS (’61), served in the Army. He moved to Palmyra, NY with his wife Carol & raised 2 sons there. He was the owner of Wayne County Food & Beverage, & Macedon Food & Beverage. Later moved to North Carolina with son Mark & started the construction business J&M Enterprise. He enjoyed coming back to the area to visit family & friends. His voice & laugh could fill the room. He enjoyed watching old western style movies, anything John Wayne or Clint Eastwood were his favorites. He also was a car enthusiast as he owned & collected many over the years. MACEDON - Formerly of Cleveland, Oklahoma, passed peacefully on November 29, 2011 at age 67, after a short, but courageous battle with cancer. Karen is survived by her sister Jennifer (Keith) Wall, brother Alton (Janelle) Plumb, sister Juanita (Kent) Snyder & brother John (Marcie Emerson) Plumb; 4 grandchildren, Trina Lynn, Sara, Jamie, & Zeeannamarie Hobbs all of Flint, Michigan; 3 great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Audrianne, & Amaya; 3 step-children, Michael, Maureen, & Mark Aldrich; special nieces Jody (Plumb) Poulakis, Tracey (Plumb) Turner, Lynette (Krueger) Enright & Chelsea DePoint; special nephews Zak Plumb, Dan Krueger & Seth DePoint; as well as several great-nephews/nieces, aunts & uncles whom she loved dearly. She was predeceased by her parents Alton & Bertha Plumb, her husband Alouise, daughter Theresa Aldrich Hobbs & brother William (Buster) Plumb. A brief memorial service will be held, December 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Macedon Center cemetery, reception to follow at the West Wayne Restaurant, 1900 State Route 31 in the West Wayne Plaza.
