Survived by his wife of 51 years Nancy McLouth; children Rick McLouth (Brenda Crosby), Sharon McLouth (Tim Taylor); granddaughter Brittney; many nieces & nephews. Bob was a World War II Army veteran, past Commander of the Philip Steiger American Legion Post Post #494, President and founder of McLouth Chevrolet for 45 years, past President of Macedon Chamber of Commerce, former Town Councilman and citizen of the year. Family and friends are invited to call Saturday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at PAYNE & MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 1040 Route 31 Macedon. Bob's funeral service will be Sunday 2 p.m. at the South Perinton United Methodist Church, interment at Macedon cemetery in the spring. Johnston, Leo B.

ONTARIO - Joined the Good Lord and his loving wife Anna Rita in Heaven on January 13, 2004 at age 96. He is survived by his children Betty (Tony) Borrelli, Leona "Lee" (Deacon Jerry) Skerrett, Kathy (Greg) Smith, Michael Johnston; grandchildren Kevin (Kathy) Skerrett, Patrick (Elaine) Skerrett, Terrance Skerrett, Karen (Deacon Jim) Nail, John (Sheila) Borrelli, Ann (Barry) Benedict, Linda Borrelli, Leanne Giuliano, Lewie (Gina) Smith, Chris (Gretta) Johnston, Mike (Tammy) Johnston; 24 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and retired camping friends. Leo was a past president of the Notre Dame Retreat League in Rochester, an active member of the Ambrose Men’s Club during the 50’s & 60’s, and a master auto mechanic during his work years. Friends are invited to call 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church, Ontario, where a Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. with Fr. Robert Kreckel presiding. Burial in Calvary cemetery at the convenience of the family. In place of flowers donations may be made in his name to Birthright of Ontario, or to any church or charity. Arr: MURPHY FUNERAL HOME.

Retan, Gail A.

PALMYRA - Died Tuesday January 13, 2004, age 61 at the House of John. Gail is survived by daughter Shannon Retan; son Scott Retan; granddaughter Jordan Retan; step-suster Judy Bauer; sister-in-law Marie Webster. She is predeceased by her parents Frances Webster and Harriet Galik; step-father Henry Galik; brother Richard Webster and nephew Robert Webster. Visitation will be observed Friday January 16th, 7-9 p.m. only at McGUIRE/HARGRAVE & MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 123 East Jackson Street, Palmyra. A funeral service for Gail, will be Saturday 10 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment at Palmyra cemetery. Clark, Martha G.

MACEDON - Died on January 9, 2004 at age 81. Predeceased by her son, Robert. Survived by her husband, Elmer of 63 years; daughter Alice Weaver; son, LarryClark; brother, Oscar Roegiers; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 3great, great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. Martha was a lifemember of Macedon Fire Dept. Auxillary and Women of the Moose in Palmyra. King, Ida Mae (Kurtz)

ONTARIO - Ida Mae King, 77, died peacefully Thursday January 8, 2004 at The Pines of Peace Comfort Care Home after a courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. King was born the daughter of the late Arthur Alfred Kurtz and Ida Doretta Delmoe on September 4, 1926 in Erie, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Academy High School in Erie, PA in 1944. She married Herbert King in the United Brethren Church of Erie, PA on June 5, 1948. She and Mr. King are lifelong members of The United Methodist Church. In her early married years, Ida Mae was a dining room hostess in seasonal resort hotels in the Northeast and Florida. Among her several employers was The Mayfair Inn in Sanford Florida owned by the New York Giants baseball team. Her community involvement included President of the Presque Isle Garden Club in Erie, PA. She served as Chairman of the Holiday Bazaar in the Community United Methodist Church in Poughkeepsie, NY. She was a Charter Member of the Second Hand Rose Thrift Store, an outreach service of the same Methodist Church. She was Chairman of the Second Hand Rose Thrift Store. An avid golfer, Mrs. King was a member of the IBM Country Club in Poughkeepsie, NY. When Mr. King retired from IBM in 1987, they established a winter home in Florida and have been snowbirds ever since. Ida Mae served as Association President of the Tavares Mobile Home Park in Florida. Mr. and Mrs. King moved their summer residence to to Ontario, NY 5 years ago. She has been actively involved in the Clothes Closet Thrift Store in West Walworth, NY. Ida Mae also has enjoyed playing in several senior Bridge Clubs weekly in the surrounding communities. Mrs. King had a lifelong interest in antiques and collectibles. She had a passion for garage sales and thrift stores. Ida Mae believes she conducted one of the first garage sales in Erie, PA after experiencing them in California in 1960. Mrs. King will be missed by her loving devoted husband of 55 years, Herbert King as well as son Scott King and wife Nancy, daughter Robin Schmidt and husband Neil. She also leaves 5 grandchildren Robert King, Jeremiah King, Spenser Schmidt, Devon Schmidt and Tucker Schmidt. Ida Mae came from a family of 9 children. She is preceded in death by brothers Henry, Samuel and Robert Kurtz and sister Ellen Fink. She is survived by brothers Frank and Alfred Kurtz and sister Dorothy Johnson. Arrangements by Murphy Funeral Home. 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario. There are no viewing hours. A celebration of Ida Mae's life is scheduled for 1pm Saturday, January 17th at The Walworth United Methodist Church in Walworth, NY. A luncheon/reception will follow the service. The family's request is for no flowers; instead contributions may be made to The Pines of Peace, 2378 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519.

Chapman, G. Roland

PALMYRA - Died January 6, 2004 at the age of 90. Roland is survived by children Laura (Edmund) Spayd of Washington, Bonnie (David) Andrews of Waterloo, Randy Chapman of Canandaigua, step-son Stuart Schere of Vermont; grandchildren Lauren & Randall Chapman, Paula & Charity Andrews, Joan Veronique, David Spayd, Crystal Gould, and Michael Schere; great grandchildren James Agee & Brittany Agee brother Leonard Chapman. Roland had been an area farmer, inventor and welder. In his earlier years he had been a pilot, worked on area windmills, and was employed by the Pittsford Central School District. Friends are invited to call on Sunday (Jan 18th) from 12:30 - 2 p.m. at McGUIRE/HARGRAVE & MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 123 East Jackson Street, Palmyra. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, or a charity of one's choice. Funeral service and interment for Mr. Chapman will be held in the spring.

VanHout, "Nan" L.

CLIFTON SPRINGS - Went to be with the Lord on January 6, 2004 at age 64. She is survived by her family; mother, Eleanor Hoskins, Palmyra; daughters, Sherie (Scott) Laraby, Phelps; Theresa (Salvatore) Gentile, Geneva; Roni (Rob) Hall, Geneva, Troy (Hillary) VanHout, Phelps; 12 loving grandchildren; brothers Allan (Myrreah) White, Palmyra; Wayne (Elaine) Sampson, AZ; James (Gloria) Sampson, Clifton Springs; Several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to call Thursday 5-9PM at McGUIRE/HARGRAVE & MURPHY FUNERAL HOME 123 East Jackson St., Palmyra, where her funeral service will be held 11AM Friday. Burial at Machpelah cemetery in the spring. Donations may be made to American Lung Assoc. in her memory.

Juffs, Henry A.

CLYDE/LYONS: Henry Arthur Juffs, age 84, entered into eternal rest on January 3rd, 2004 at the Wayne County Nursing Home surrounded by those who loved him. Henry was born February 7th, 1919 in Clyde, son of Arthur and Frances (Stewart) Juffs. He entered military service on June 9th, 1942 at Rochester and served with the 58th Ordinance Ammunition Company. Henry was involved with campaigns in Naples-Foggia, the North Apennines, Po Valley, Rome-Arno and Sicily. He received the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal and the Army Good Conduct Medals. Henry was honorably discharged on October 7th, 1945 at the Fort Dix Separation Center in New Jersey. Upon return to New York, he farmed in Clyde and Palmyra, as well as drove school bus for the Newark School District. Henry is survived by his loving wife Barbara (Wright) Juffs; sister Thelma Syron of Clyde, brother Curtis (Monica) Juffs of Clearwater Florida, nephew Maurice (Audrey) Syron of Clyde, nieces Sheila (Charles) Hemenway of Newark, Nila (Lewis) DeLeo-Ellwanger of Clyde, sister-in-law Gertrude VanHover of Lake Worth Florida and, his ever companion Rusty. A Memorial Service will be held, Sunday January 11th, 2:00 p.m. from the McGuire/Hargrave & Murphy Funeral Home, 123 East Jackson Street, Palmyra. Memorial contributions in Henry's memory should be directed to the Clyde Fire Department Ambulance, Ford Street, Clyde, NY 14433.

Corter, Robert L.

ONTARIO - Unexpectedly on Friday January 2, 2004, age 35. He is survived by his wife Tina; parents Albert & Maryann Corter; brothers & sisters Edward (Diane) Lagree, James (Teresa) Corter, Tina Corter, Timothy (Pam) Corter & Debra (Alan) Corter-Brown; several nieces, aunts, uncles, nephews & nieces as well as other extended family. Blanchard, Albert J.

MACEDON - January 2, 2004 at age 66, taken from his family’s arms straight to God’s embrace, with his family by his side. Survived by the light of his life, his wife of 39 years Bridget; devoted children Anne-Marie (Cupertino) Anaya, Brian (Sabina), John "Scooter" (Andrea); loving grandchildren Samuel, Ana-Luisa, Hailey, Lucas, Jack, Mateo; nieces & nephews. Al was employed by Getinge-Castle, formerly Castle-Sybron from 1968-1988, he was a sergeant [E-5] in the Army Reserve from 1960-1966, served as treasurer for the local Knights of Columbus Chapter and was an active member of St. Patrick’s Church for 35 years. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s Church in Macedon. PALMYRA - Died March 30, 2004 at age 70. He is survived by his wife Deloras; children Kevin (Doris Henninger) Lannon, Michael Lannon, Robyn (Casey) Middlebrook, John (Teri) Lannon; ten grandchildren; siblings June Lighthouse, Keith Lannon, Dawn Deisering, Kurt Lannon & Gail Lunay; several nieces and nephews; five step-children; eight step-grandchildren and step great-granddaughter. MACEDON - Entered in the Lord's home on March 29, 2004, at age 75. Gordy is survived by his wife of 43 years, Betty; sons, Steve (Robin) Chapple of Fulton, Todd Chapple of Hornell, Dr. Charles (Ann) Chapple of South Elgin, IL and Army Major James (Sarah) Chapple of Stafford, VA; grandchildren, Mark, Kim, Emma, Joshua, Sean, Caitlyn; several great-grandchildren; brother, Richard W. (Sue) Chapple of Simi Valley, CA; several cousins, nieces, nephews and by his dog, Buckshot. Gordy had served 35 years with the Village and Town of Macedon as a Police Officer, and then later as an Animal Control Officer. ONTARIO - Died on March 26, 2004 at age 62. He is survived by his wife Valerie Grow; Children, John (Joy) Grow, Julie (Sean) Thomas, Patrick (Mary) Grow, Karin (Andrew) Whittington; grandchildren Caitlin, Zoe, Collin, Emma, Logan; mother, Margaret L. Grow; mother-in-law, Kathryn Moyes; siblings, John (Rosa) Grow, Maureen Martini, Daniel (Karen) Grow, James (Peggy) Grow; many nieces, nephews & cousins. Mike was past president of Ontario-Walworth Rotary Club and practiced Law in the area for almost 30 years. Martha was predeceased by her husband Edwin Koch in 1995, and by her son Kenneth Edwin Koch who killed in action in 1970, while serving with the U.S. Marine Corps in Viet Nam. She is survived by daughter Marsha Hopler, sons John (Marge) Reno & James (Barbara) Reno; grandchildren Jennifer Kane, James (Teresa) Parkman, Sarah (Christopher) Westland, Joshua (Jeanne) Reno, Zachery Reno, Martha Hopler, Marcella (Jerry) Macolino, Judith (Paul) Shultes, Jason Hopler, John Reno, Catherine Staniforth and Paul Lutton. Martha was pre-deceased by her husband John Reno and by daughter Jean Lutton. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Ingold, Ralph C.

PALMYRA / UNION SPRINGS: born June 23, 1938 in Rochester, NY passed away quietly after a courageous fight on 3/16/04. He leaves behind four children, Robert (Lynda) Ingold, Ginny (Lee) Riggall, Connie (Bert) Ferris, Stephanie (David) Burke, eight grandchildren, Grant, Makenna, Hannah, Heath, Alexa, Gunnar, Keegan, Arthur and his brother Robert P. Ingold (Kim) of Tonawanda, NY along with two nieces and two nephews. He was an employee of Gleason Works and worked for many years for the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS as the Grounds Directory for the Church's historical sites in New York. Dad loved to work on his family genealogy. He was avid reader and had great love for his cactus plants. He also enjoyed collecting stamps. We will all miss our Father very much but we know he is in a far better place now meeting with distant relatives. He leaves a lasting legacy with many generations of children. Friends are invited to attend his memorial service 10AM Saturday March 27th at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints (Palmyra Ward) Burial will be held at the family’s convenience.
