PALMYRA - Died March 14, 2004. At the request of the Jennings family, calling hours will not be observed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anne's Church, Saturday March 27th, 10 a.m. Spring interment will be at St. Anne's cemetery. Arr: McGuire/Hargrave & Murphy Funeral Home.

Withey, Phyllis J.

PALMYRA - Died on March 10, 2004 at age 71. Predeceased by her son Edward (Skip) Withey. Survived by husband Edward "Ted" Withey; children Linda Rozell, Richard (Dawn) Withey, Gordon (Christine) Withey, Lorraine Withey; 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews & cousins. Friends are invited to call Sunday 1-3 p.m. at McGUIRE/HARGRAVE & MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 123 East Jackson Street, Palmyra, where her funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday. Interment Walworth cemetery at the family’s convenience. Donations may be made to the Palmyra Fire Department Oxygen Squad in her memory.

Prittie, Thomas J.

PALMYRA - passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2004, at age 81. Tom is survived by his wife, Dixie; sons, Richard of Utah and John of CT; cousins, June Harms of PA and Jane Kichline of FL. He was born in Philadelphia to Edwin and Meta (Thiry) Prittie. After graduating from Abington High School, he began his college education at SUNY Oswego. His college studies were interrupted by World War II. Tom enlisted in the Army and served as a Military Policeman in Europe. At the conclusion of World War II, Tom returned to Oswego, where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree. While at Oswego, he bacame national president of the Delta Kappa Fraternity and was also inducted into the Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society. He did his subsequent graduate work at Syracuse University and the University of Rochester. Tom retired from the Palmyra-Macedon School District where he had been a respected educator. He was a member of the V.F.W., Wayne County Historical Society, Sons of the Union Veterans and Disabled American Veterans. He and his wife Dixie celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last November. Friends are invited to call Fri. 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at McGUIRE/HARGRAVE & MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 123 E. Jackson St., Palmyra. Services for Tom will be 10:30 a.m. Sat., from the Funeral Home. Interment, at Palmyra cemetery with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Palmyra Fire Dept. Oxygen Squad, Palmyra Kings Daughters Free Library or Historic Palmyra.

Goehle, Michael S.

GENEVA: Monday March 8, 2004 at age 52. He is survived by his sons Todd and Brian; parents Oscar and Wilma; brother Randall; and by Sandra Goehle. Michael was an optician in the Rochester/Finger Lakes area since 1972. Friends are invited to call Friday 2-4 only at PAYNE & MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 1040 Route 31 Macedon. A Memorial Service will be held Friday at 7 p.m. from the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, corner of West Church & Perrin St in Fairport. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be directed to the American Heart Association.

East, Elsie M.

PALMYRA - Saturday March 6, 2004 at age 87. She is survived by daughter Marlene Roberts; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Elsie is predeceased by her husband Floyd "Sam" East and by daughters Geraldine Murray and ShelbyJean Mason. Friends are invited to call, Tuesday 7-9 p.m. at McGUIRE/HARGRAVE & MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 123 East Jackson Street, Palmyra. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, 10 a.m. from St. Anne’s Church in Palmyra. Interment will be in the spring.

Kitchen, Harry M.

WEBSTER - (1928-2004) Friday, March 5, 2004, after a long illness. Survived by companion, Violet R. Jones; brothers, Earl (Ann) Kitchen, Bill (Ida) Kitchen; sister, Ionia Kitchen; his children, Maryanne (Jay) Bainbridge, Susan Terramiggi, Joan Amalfi, Janet (David) Mattucci, Paul Kitchen, Michelle (Rick) Durante, Teresa Sarver, Katie (Jim) Pedulla; stepchildren, Sharol (Lan) Neugent and Richard (Carmen) Chamberlin; 20 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 8th, 10:30 AM at Holy Spirit Church, 1355 Hatch Rd., Webster, NY. Arr. Murphy Funeral Home, Ontario, NY.

Himes, Florence L.

WEBSTER - March 5, 2004. She is survived by children Norman & John Himes; daughters Lyla Bonnett & Virginia Granville; several grandchildren & great- grandchildren. Florence was predeceased by her husband Clarence "Boots" Himes. A funeral service will be held Monday, 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 65 Main Street, North Tonawanda. Interment will be at Acacia Park Memorial Gardens. Arr: Murphy Funeral Home, Ontario, NY.

McNeil, Marvin

SYRACUSE/NEWARK - Died Thursday March 4, 2004 at the DeMay Living Center in Newark. Further information will be posted when it becomes available. Arr: McGuire/Hargrave & Murphy Funeral Home.

Hall, George H.

FARMINGTON - Died suddenly February 29th at the age of 82. George is survived by sons David of Shortsville and Douglas of Farmington; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister Mary Talley, and nephew Thomas (Judy) Gehman of Florida. Mr. Hall had been employed by U.W. Sherburne Ford from 1949-60, the Transportation Department at Pal-Mac Central School District 1960-71 where he was head of transportation; a heavy duty mechanic in Florida 1971-73, and then returned to Pal-Mac Central School District in 1974 and retiring in 1982. Funeral services are not scheduled at this time. Interment at the convenience of the family will be at McKeene County cemetery, Bradford, PA. Arr. McGuire/Hargrave & Murphy Funeral Home.

Vogt, David E.

MARION - Left this world on February 23, 2004 after a brief bout with cancer. He is survived by his mother Ruth Albright; brothers Robert and Thomas (Brigitte) Albright; nephew Luke Albright; niece Lynn Albright; long time companion Mark Gillette; aunts Jeanne Zornow, Blanche Albright; uncles Richard Verian and Harry Blaeser; cousins and their families; many friends in Wayne County, Rochester and across the country. David was predeceased by his father Elmer Vogt (WWII); brother Michael Vogt; and by his step-father Harold Albright. David enjoyed music, travel and gardening. He attended SUNY Alfred and was a electronics technician at Harris Corporation, as well as a carpenter. He practiced Siddha Yoga with Muktananda and Guru Mai. His family requests the courtesy of no flowers. Memorial contributions in David’s memory should be directed to the Williamson Come-Unity Center, PO Box 73, Williamson, NY 14589 or the Seva Foundation, 1786 Fifth Street, Berkeley, CA 94710. Seva works to prevent blindness and provide clean water to under privileged nations. A memorial service for David will be held on March 20th, 2 p.m. at the Walworth Town Hall. Vosburgh, Doris M.

PALMYRA - Died February 19, 2004 at age 88. Predeceased by her husband Fay Vosburgh. Survived by her stepdaughter Shirley Felice; 4 granddaughters; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephew Harold (Marion) VanHoute. Gratton, John Norbert

ONTARIO - Died unexpectedly on February 19, 2004 at age 66. He is survived by his sister Nancy Wheeler; several nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. All are invited to call on Sunday 3-6PM at MURPHY FUNERAL HOME 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Monday at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church. Mack, Irene M.

PALMYRA - passed away on Sunday February 15th, 2004 at age 81. She was predeceased by her husband Emory on March 7, 2001. Irene is survived by daughters Lesley (Richard) Dickinson, Janice (Michael) Semans; four grandchildren; four great-grandsons; several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service for Irene will be held Saturday February 28th, 1 p.m. from the Palmyra Western Presbyterian Church. Interment at the convienience of her family at Palmyra cemetery. Brewer, Lawrence E.

ONTARIO - Died Saturday, February 14, 2004 at age 83. He is survived by his wife, Lois; daughter, Judy (John) Seth Jr.; sister, Lelia Irwin; brother, Robert Brewer; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service for Lawrence will be Wednesday 10:00 a.m. from the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1767 Plank Rd., Webster. Interment, Furnaceville cemetery. Napierala, Edward B., Jr.

PALMYRA - passed away peacefully February 9, 2004, age 72 at Newark Wayne Hospital. He is survived by his mother Eugenia Napierala; siblings, Irene Smigera, Daniel (Nancy) Napierala, Thomas (Adele) Napierala, Robert (Elaine) Napierala, Joann Napierala, Raymond (Debra) Napierala. MACEDON - Beloved husband and father, passed away May 27, 2004 at age 64. He is survived by his wife Joyce and daughter Carleen (Gerry) Dixon. Predeceased by son Michael Reed.
