PALMYRA - passed away on May 18, 2007 at age 83 to join his wife Harriet (1998) in eternal life. He will be sadly missed by his children, Jon (Betsy) Martens, Cindy (Lee) Martens-Pitts, Karen (Roger) Weaver; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Allison) Weaver, Joel Pitts, Bethany Pitts, Ryan Weaver, Matthew Weaver will always remember Grandpa’s wide smile and sense of humor; sisters Grace Martens, Shirley Chace. Ray was a WWII United States Army Veteran and retiree of Delco Products. Special thanks to the staff of 1st floor Hastings at St. John’s Home & Hospice of Rochester/ Lifetime Care for their devoted care. A private ceremony will be held at the convenience of the family. Historical Society, King’s Daughter’s Library, Palmyra-Macedon Rotary Club, Loyal Order of Masons, Historic Palmyra, Palmyra VFW, Palmyra American Legion, a US Army Air Corps Veteran, a retiree of Garlock Packing Co. Mr. De Vey was a farmer for much of his life & was the owner of A&M Country Pools in Manchester. No prior calling. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 8th at 3:00 PM in the Palmyra Reformed Church, 232 Canandaigua Street (Rt. 21) Palmyra. Interment private in Palmyra cemetery. Morris, Richard J.

Newtonville, NY & Austin, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2007, at age 66, wrapped in the loving arms of his wife Anne Morris & surrounded by the many thoughts & prayers of family & friends. Born in Ontario, NY, May 29, 1941 to Alfred W. & Elizabeth A. (Knapp) Morris. Richard was the proud graduate of the class of 1962 of Texas A & M University. He will be remembered for his profound school spirit & deep love for Texas A & M where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets. His career began as a Right of Way Agent for NYS Dept of Transportation. In 1979 he was loaned by Governor Hugh Carey’s Office for special assignment as Executive Director of the Love Canal Area Revitalization Agency in Niagara Falls, NY. In July of 1990 he was appointed Executive Director of the Real Estate Division of NYS Dept of Transportation. During his career he served as a member of the American Association of State Highway & Transportation Officials & the International Right of Way Association. He retired in March 2003 after 38 years of dedicated service to New York State. During his retirement he was as a consultant for O.R. Colon in Austin, Texas as well as a license holder of The Austin Institute of Real Estate. He was a member of the Travis Audubon & the Austin Film Societies, as well as an enthusiastic participant in the Austin Chapter of the Texas A & M Club & a Texas A & M Century Club Member. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Anne P. Morris of Newtonville, NY; his daughters, Chantelle Wolpert & Heather Conlee Goot; 4 grandchildren who brought him many moments of joy & laughter, Richard Conlee, Chloe Conlee, Max Wolpert & Sam Wolpert. He is also survived by his brothers David R. Morris & wife Leora, Tim Morris, & his sister Patricia Niedermaier & her husband Glen; brothers-in-law William Pitt & wife Karen, David Pitt, Tom Pitt, Arthur Pitt & wife Darlene; sisters-in-law, Kathy Carr & Mary Lou Cohen. As well as several aunts & uncles & many nieces & nephews. The family extends their most heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Sampson, Dr. Kirkpatrick & all of their teams & staff members at Duke University Medical Center, The Morris Cancer Center & The Caring House of Durham, North Carolina; St. David’s North West Austin Medical Center, Dr. Wang & all of her team & hospital staff, as well as Hospice Austin & The Christopher House team. MACEDON - Died Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at age 97. Born in The Netherlands. Predeceased by his wife Myrtle & daughter Irene. Survived by children, Jacob (Betty) Oukes, Joyce (Leonard) Syverson, Joan (Frances) Winterkorn; son-in-law George Upham; several grandchildren, great grandchildren & great, great grandchildren; dear friend & companion Janette Rudovitz. Dirk was a retiree of Eastman Kodak, a member of VFW Post, American Legion Post & Masons. He served in the US Navy during WWII in the South Pacific. Alexander, Susan (Hauser)

MACEDON - Ended her battle with cancer & went to be with her Lord Jesus at age 45 on June 12, 2007. Survived by her husband Keith; daughter Danielle; parents Marion & Bill Hauser; sister Mary Anne; brothers, Ken (Laureen), Bob (Jacquie); mother-in-law Joan Alexander; sisters-in-law, Susan (Howard), Nancy, Dina (Bruce), Jeanne (Linc); brothers-in-law, Rick, John (Elaine). Susan was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister & friend. She was the Director of Counseling at Gananda Central Schools for 18 years. She was a friend & inspiration to all who knew her. Her zest for life & her energetic personality will be deeply missed. She trusted in Jesus Christ for her salvation so we have the assurance of being reunited in eternity. The family would like to thank the many friends, family & church family who have given so much help & support through this time. A Memorial Service will be held in the auditorium at Gananda High School on Sunday, June 17th at 1PM with a reception to follow in the cafeteria. Please join us to celebrate her wonderful life. A private burial service for the family will be at Macedon Village cemetery.
