Shaffer, Ivan A. (Pete)

PENFILED: June 3, 2007 at age 87. Predeceased by his wife, Ruth. Survived by daughter Laurie (William) Keller; grandchildren Cara Casanzio, Julie (Justin) Blue, Gregory Keller, Jeffrey Hook; brother Patrick (Ethel) Shaffer; sister-in-law Betty (Gilbert) Nagel; sister-in-law Bernice Parker. Pete was a much-loved husband, father, grandfather and friend who was looking forward to the birth of his first great-grandchild. He was always quick to share a story and a smile. He will hold a special place in our hearts forever. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Aaron Manor for their devoted care and kindness. Private interment. MARION - Quietly entered into eternal rest at her home on July 22, 2007 after reaching the age of 92 last Monday July 16, 2007. Predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Joseph M. Scrooby, Sr. & infant sons Charles & Timothy. Collins, John Paul "Jack"

WALWORTH - Died Thursday, July 19, at age 86. He was born and raised on Ohio St. in Rochester, NY and joined the Navy in 1943, shortly after Pearl Harbor. He married Dolores McGrath in 1946, and was married 56 years until her death. They resided in Rochester then Walworth, NY where they raised their five children. Jack worked as a general contractor then as a Union carpenter until retirement. He served as president of Rochester District Carpenter's Union #85 for several years. The son of John L. and Adelaide Collins of East Bloomfield, he is predeceased by brothers J. Roger, Robert, Thomas, and James and sisters, Virginia, Shirley and Ruth. Surviving siblings are Doris Norman, Margaret Ann, William, and Richard Collins. He is survived by children Joseph M. (Ann), Kathleen (Tom Wendt), Eileen (Jay Vestal), Rita Herko, and Christopher, and grandchildren Patrick and Devon Collins, Collin, Mary Jay, and Joseph Vestal, and Jonathan and Kathryn Herko. He leaves 43 nieces and nephews.
Viewing hours are at McGuire/Hargrave & Murphy Funeral Home, 123 East Jackson St, Palmyra, NY. Calling hours are on Sunday (3-5), Monday (6-8 pm) and Funeral Mass at St. Anne's Church, Church St., Palmyra on Tuesday at 9:30am.
Jack's family would like to give special thanks to the nurses, the aides, and all the other people at the Rochester Friendly Home for their love and care of our parents. Jack especially enjoyed his close friendship with Vicki and Red.

Wilson, Richard J., Sr.

ONTARIO - Died on July 19, 2007 after a long battle with Cancer at age 80. Predeceased by his wife Carol. Survived by his children Rick (Marcia) Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Patty (Tom) Davenport, Tim Wilson (Lena Davidson); 5 grandaughters; 1 great grandaughter; 2 sisters, Mary Jane (Dick) Gladding & Linda Catleugh; several nieces & nephews. He was a WWII Navy Veteran & member of American Legion Post 428. MACEDON - Entered into rest July 7, 2007 at age 90. In heaven he joins his bride of 60 years, Yvonne. He is survived by his children Ramona & Rick Yusko and Admiral & Gina Lord; grandchildren Tanya & Jose Feliciano, Jennifer & Chester Konarski, Michael Yusko & Jeana Sansocie, Emily Lord; great-grandchildren Rachel Feliciano, Kaleb Konarski, Julian Konarski, Braxton Yusko; numerous nieces & nephews; special caregiver Joyce Craig. He served with distinction in the US Army during World War II and beyond. He was a founder of Boy Scout Troop 167 in Macedon. There are no prior calling hours. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service Friday July 13th at 3PM atop Freedom Hill, on the grounds of Perinton Memorial Post 8495, VFW, 300 Macedon Center Road, Fairport.
