Survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Lou Carrier; Children, John Jr. (Shannon) Carrier, Kevin (Shelly) Carrier, Craig (Diane) Carrier, Beth (Louis) Rothfuss, Marc (Maria) Carrier, Matthew (Andrea) Carrier, Stephen Carrier (Sarah Hartz); 24 grandchildren; brother Michael (Kathy) Carrier; sister Elaine (Louis) Pilato; sister-in-law, Erica Culp; many nieces, nephews & their children . Predeceased by siblings, Marilyn, Charlene, Cassandra, Alfred.
He is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 3PM at Port Gibson United Methodist Church. Arrangements by McGuire/ Hargrave & Murphy Funeral Home, Palmyra.

CHRISTIAANSEN, DOROTHY A. (WENDT)

MACEDON - November 9, 2007, age 81. Predeceased by husband, Abraham Christiaansen, Brother: Robert Wendt, Sister: Laura Mae Hoad. Survived by special niece and nephew, Sandi (Pat) Kelly and Kirk (Linda) Wendt, great nieces; Stacy (Don) Arnold, Amanda Wendt, great nephews; Kevin (Teri) Kelly, Shawn Kelly and Trevor Wendt. Sisters; Phyllis (Lewis) Martz and Jean (Carl) Root, Brothers: Russell Wendt and Leslie Wendt. Many other nieces and nephews. A retired American Can Co. employee. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Philip Steiger Unit #494 of Macedon and Macedon Senior Citizens.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday November 13, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Payne & Murphy Funeral Home 1040 Rt. 31 Macedon.
Funeral will be held at the St. Johns Lutheran Church 153 Church Ave., Farmington on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at 1PM with burial at the Macedon Center cemetery. Donations may be made to the American Legion Auxiliary Philip Steiger Unit #494 at 76 Main St., Macedon, NY 14502 in her memory.

Cooley, Gerald R.

ONTARIO - Formerly of Pultneyville, died on November 7, 2007 at age 85. Survived by his wife Rosemarie; children Dr. Timothy Cooley (Dr. Marilyn Novich) of Brookline, MA, Coleen (Thomas) Prior of New Albany, OH; 5 grandchildren Elizabeth Cooley, Jillian, Devin, Alissa, John Prior; sister Margaret Cornelius of Webster, Bernadette (Lawrence) Murphy of Seabrook, MD; several nieces & nephews. A WWII Navy Veteran, he graduated from Canisius College & Cornell University. He retired from Williamson High School as a Science Teacher.
Friends are invited to call Sunday 3-6PM at MURPHY FUNERAL HOME 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Monday at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church, Ontario. Burial at Lakeview cemetery. Donations may be made to American Heart Association in his memory.

Heumann, Gladys L.: Fairport (Detroit, Michigan) passed away peacefully at Clifton Springs Hospice Monday, November 5, 2007. Predeceased by brothers Clarence, Kenneth and Ervin (Ruth) Heumann. Survived by sisters-in-law, Anita Heumann and Dorothea Reuter; many nieces and nephews including Donna (David) Heckman, James, Douglas, Gerald (Linda) and William (Liz) Heumann, Valerie (Tom) Marrison, Kathy (Stuart) Burlesan, Jill (Mark) Huntington. Special thanks to Perinton Park Manor Assisted Living for becoming Gladys’ family for the last 2 ½ years. A memorial service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 153 Church Avenue in Farmington, NY on Friday, November 9th at 1pm. Burial at Palmyra Cemetary. NEWARK - Died on November 2, 2007 at age 93. Predeceased by her husband Chester Tierson. She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Ron) Williams, Priscilla (Jerry) Flack, Gail (Bob) Reynolds, son Dan (Sue) Tierson; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister Jeanette DeBout; many nieces & nephews. Dey, Mildred L. (Mickey) DeWandel

Mildred L. Dey, 86, passed away on Monday, October 15th at the Wesley Long Nursing Center (Adams Farm Rehabilitation Center) in Greensboro, NC. She was born on October 12, 1921 in Newark, New York to Mr. & Mrs. Bernard DeWandel.Mickey, as she was fondly called, was the youngest daughter of (8) having seven older brothers. She was predeceased by her mother and father and by twin brothers, Ernie & Jack DeWandel. Also by Edgar (Red) DeWandel, Andy DeWandel, Bert DeWandel and Leo DeWandel. She was married to her loving husband of 52 years, Kenneth C. Dey who passed away in 1999. She is survived by her brother George DeWandel of Fairborn, Ohio and her daughter Sandra L. Dey Buffington of Greensboro, NC. Also surviving are her sisters-in-law; Hazel DeWandel of Phelps, NY, Pauline VandeMortel (Harry) of Newark, NY and . Brother-in-Law Robert Vanheusen (Dottie) of Lakeland, Florida along with several very special nieces and nephews. Mickey worked as a secretary for several years at some local Palmyra, New York companies. But her greatest love was working in the library for Pal-Mac High School for over 10 years. She was very devoted to the students at Pal-Mac and had a close fondness for them. She loved to cook and entertain. She was a great seamstress and enjoyed making hand made hooked rugs, jewelry and doll clothes. She was especially fond of her nieces and nephews and family get togethers were always a favorite enjoyment along with enjoying the company of many friends locally and in Zephyrhills, Fla. where she had a retirement home. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, wife and friend and will be missed. Family visitation will be held at the McGuire, Hargrave & Murphy Funeral Home, 123 East Jackson Street, Palmyra, New York Sunday, October 21st from 2-5PM, where her Funeral Service will be on Monday, October 22nd at 10:30AM. In lieu of flowers, donations would be kindly accepted at either the Alzheimer’s Association of Western Carolina in Charlotte, NC or the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association both of which take memorial donations through their internet site.

WALWORTH - Died on October 17, 2007 at age 66 after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his parents Alice & Hyle Fulmer & granddaughter Jenna Lee. Survived by his loving wife Nancy; son Mark (Jennifer); daughters, Christine (Anthony) Dalesandro, Jackie (Paul) Sobierajski; grandsons, John & Tyler; granddaughters, Toni Lynn, Nicolette, Amanda, Kayla; sister Betty Flagg; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces & nephews. Trapp, Makaila Pearl

Our dear, sweet baby girl left this world on October 14, 2007. She will be loved dearly & remembered forever in the hearts of her family. She has gone to heaven to be with her great-grandfather George Bauer. She leaves behind her loving parents Stephanie & Robert Trapp; big brothers, Nicholas & Ryan; big sister Angelina, all of Marion; grandparents Cindy & George Trapp, of Palmyra; Curt Thomas & Judy LeMay, both of Victor; great-grandparents, Pearl Bauer, of Ontario, Ruth & James Thomas, of Tenn; aunts, Nicole Hensel & Megan LeMay; uncle Adrian Thomas. CLYDE: Died on October 14, 2007 at age 83. Predeceased by his daughter Mary Renee Leonard, sisters, Patricia "Lady" Campbell, Bonnie Diesenroth, Mildred "Corkey" Klem. Survived by his children, Bonnie Leonard, Amy Leonard, Robert (Sue) Leonard, Daniel (Kim) Leonard, special grandaughter, Charlotte "Pansy" (David) Furman; grandchildren, Angela Fisk, Chad Miller, Ricky Webster, Kristen Leonard, Boby Jr.; great grandchildren, Shalynn, Autumn, Chloe, Brandon; sister, Mary E. Buckley; several nieces & nephews. He served in the US Navy as a First Class Seaman aboard the USS Thomas Jefferson and was a involved in many operations, including the invasion of Normandy. Predeceased by his parents, Walter & Anna (Telep) Baran, sister Nell Lock, Olga Naeser, Brother Walter; Survived by his wife Evelyn (Cleason) of 58 years; children Barbara Nittolo, Paul Baran, Jay Baran; 3 grandsons, Andrew, David, Evan Baran; sisters Anne Boyle, Betty Andes; brothers, John (Frances) Baran, Steven (Helen) Baran, many nieces & nephews. A graduate of Cornell University and an Army Veteran of WWII, he served in the European Theatre, including the Battle of the Bulge. He was a Palmyra Town Councilman for 34 years and retired after more than 50 years from their family business Abram Cleason Co. Inc.
