Richard "Dick" Conway

Richard "Dick" P. Conway 91, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend, of Mesa, AZ, formerly of Vernon, NJ, passed away on November 24, 2008.
Dick was born on May 6, 1917 in McAfee, NJ to Charles and Agnes Conway.
He married Estelle Klebieko in 1938 and they settled on a dairy farm. Besides being a dairy farmer he was a lineman for the Sussex Rural Elect Co-op from which he retired. His greatest accomplishment was building Lake Conway, on the Vernon Mountain in Sussex County NJ. He was active in several of the town development committees, volunteer fire department, Board of Education member, and Grange President. Dick loved to dance, hunt, fish, golf, and helping friends and neighbors with his chain saw expertise.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 65 years, and brothers Jack, Harvey, and Clyde.
He is survived by his sister Lois Scordato, daughter Patricia Newton, son-in-law Michael Newton, Grandchildren, Richard and Lois Milburn, John A and Melissa Milburn, Tim and Crystal Newton, Troy and Shannon Newton, Kelly and JD Gallagher, and Colleen Taul, Great-grandchildren Lawrence and Shelby Milburn and Ten Step-Great-Grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and extended family of friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the Vernon Volunteer Fire and Rescue, Vernon, NJ. A Memorial service will be held later in the spring.

Stella Weslowski

Stella Weslowski of Warwick, NY a lifetime area resident, entered into rest on Friday, December 5, 2008 at Schervier Pavilion. She was 85.
The daughter of Bronislaw & Regina Sendalk, she was born May 3, 1923 in Pine Island, NY.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus R.C. Church & its Rosary Society, Pine Island.
Survivors include her daughter Dolores Binns and her husband Roger of Washington, 3 grandchildren Roger, Steven & Sara; 1 Great Granddaughter Charlie Lynn Binns; 6 Sisters; Jean Lupinski & Josie Wesolowski of Pine Island, NY; Mary Schreibeis of Florida, NY; Genevieve Tomaszewski of New Hampton, NY; Viola Hojnacki of Warwick, NY; & Virginia Bastek of Westtown, NY; 1 Brother John Gayewski of Burlington, Iowa. & several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by Husband John J. Weslowski; 1 son Joseph Weslowski; 2 Sisters Frances Shaw & Charlotte Tomaszewski; & 1 Brother Barney Gayewski
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home 690 Co. Rt. 1 Pine Island, NY 10969.
Funeral mass will be held 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 9th at St. Stanislaus Church Pine Island, NY.
Burial will be in St. Stanislaus cemetery Pine Island.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Church, C/O St. Joseph Church, 14 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921 or to the Warwick Community Ambulance, P.O. Box 315, Warwick, NY 10990.

Stanley Wronowski

Stanley Wronowski of Fort Lauderdale, Fl formerly of New Hampton, NY entered into rest October 15, 2008 at his home in Ft. Lauderdale. Stanley was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on August 19, 1923. Stanley proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII in Germany and France. He was a well known produce farmer and was also President of Glacial Soil in Sussex, N.J. “Uncle Stash, ” as he was known to by all of his nieces and nephews, loved to garden and brought something whenever he came to visit you. He always had the freshest produce that was in season, be it a box of lettuce, a bag of carrots, or a bag of “just picked” onions. His love and generosity will never be forgotten by all those that loved him. Stanley is survived by his former wife Grace Wronowski and their children ; 2 sons Stanley Wronowski Jr. and his companion Mere Kay ; and Billy Wronowski both of New Hampton, NY; one daughter Sandra White of Bloomingburgh, NY; Granddaughter Missey Killian and her husband Pat; Great Grandson Justin Cash Killian; Sister-in-law Virginia Gerlitz and her children, nieces Eileen Crisp, and Nancy Bennett and nephew Roger Wronowski; Brother-in-law Barney Dobrowolski and his children niece Linda Capozzi & husband Jim, and nephew Robert Dobrowolski & wife Carol; Nieces: Faye Dolson, Barbara Eason & her husband Ernie, Valerie, Joann, Joan Arciero & husband Vincent, and Deborah Kurzajewski & husband John; Nephews : Gary VanderSchaaf, Stanley Stoltz Jr. & wife Grace, Robert Stoltz & wife Lori, and Donald Stoltz & wife Judy. And many Great nieces & nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother Walter Wronowski, sister Jean Stoltz and her husband Stanley Sr., sister Blanche Dobrowolski, and niece Joann Wronowski. Cremation was held in Ft. Lauderdale. Burial of his ashes in the family plot in St. Stanislaus cemetery will be held at a later date to be announced.

Pasquale Carlucci

Pasquale Carlucci of Goshen, NY, entered into rest on Sunday, November 30, 2008. He was 83.
The son of the late Vito & Angela Carlucci, he was born on January 28, 1925 in Bari, Italy.
Survivors include: 3 Daughters – Angela Carlucci of Goshen; Maria Birardi & husband Marco of Queens, NY; Arcangela “Lena” Ventre of Westtown, NY; Son Vito Carlucci of Goshen; 11 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces & Nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 3rd from 7-9 P.M. at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. Funeral mass will be held 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, December 4th at St. Joseph Church, 20 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. Burial will be in Florida cemetery.

Peter Anthony LaRocco

Peter Anthony LaRocco, of Sugar Loaf, NY, a self employed marine insurance broker & consultant, entered into rest on Friday, November 28, 2008 at O.R.M.C. – Arden Hill Campus, Goshen after a long illness. He was 75.
The son of the late Peter & Cora Rago LaRocco, he was born on June 24, 1933 in Dunmore, PA.
Mr. LaRocco received his B.A. from Albright College & attended Villanova University & St. John’s Law School.
Peter served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Florida.
Dad loved football, especially his days playing in college. He enjoyed spending time with his loving family, especially his grandchildren. He adored the ocean as well as music and everything it represented. His incredible wit, words of wisdom and generosity will be greatly missed.
Survivors include: Beloved wife of 47 years, Margaret M. LaRocco at home; 3 Sons, Peter LaRocco Jr. of Saugerties, NY; Joseph LaRocco & wife Rosa from Mahwah, NJ; & Roy LaRocco of Saugerties, NY; Daughter Cora Valentine & husband Robert of Sugar Loaf, NY; 6 grandsons, Robert, Christian, Daniel & Patrick Valentine, Maximilian & Dante LaRocco; granddaughter Domenica LaRocco; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 1st, from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.
Funeral mass will be held 12:00 Noon – Tuesday, December 2nd at St. Joseph Church, 20 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.
Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery, Florida, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sugar Loaf Fire Department, P.O. Box, Sugar Loaf, NY 10981 or to the Chester Ambulance Corps, Inc, P.O. Box 244, Chester, NY 10918.

Eleanor Kalesa

Eleanor Kalesa of Medford, NJ, entered into rest on Saturday, November 22, 2008 in Medford Care Center, Medford, NJ. She was 89.
The daughter of the late Joseph & Lena Reniewicz Paskiewicz, she was born January 1, 1919 in Goshen, NY.
Mrs. Kalesa was the widow of Vincent A. Kalesa
She is survived by: 2 Grandchildren; Several Nieces & Nephews
Predeceased by 2 Daughters – Joyce Penny & Barbara Hope; Sister Lucy Andryshak & Brother Stanley Paskiewicz
There will be no visitation.
Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 A.M. – Tuesday, November 25th at St. Stanislaus Church, Pine Island. The Reverend Joseph Tokarczyk will officiate.
Interment will be in St. Stanislaus cemetery, Pine Island.

Cornelis "Casey" Yntema

Cornelis “Casey” Yntema of Florida, NY a retired self employed dairy farmer, entered into rest on Friday November 21, 2008 in O.R.M.C. – Arden Hill Campus, Goshen, NY. He was 74. The son of the late Lolke & Doetje VanDyk Ijntema, he was born on February 23, 1934 in The Netherlands. Casey was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of the Goshen Christian Reformed Church and the George Smith American Legion Post #1609, Unionville, NY. Survivors include: Beloved wife of 52 years, Betty Yntema at home; Son – Louis Yntema & wife Lois of Westtown, NY; Daughter – Linda VanDeWeert of Chester, NY; Son – Ted Yntema & wife Julia Watson of Quanitco, Va; 10 Grandchildren – Dorothy Frawley; Kevin VanDeWeert; Cynthia VanDeWeert; Cornelius Robert Yntema; Elizabeth, Rebecca, Emily & Rachel Yntema; Sara & Jessica Passey; 1 Great Granddaughter – Caitlin Frawley; 1 Niece & 1 Nephew
He was predeceased by Brother Sikke Ijntema. Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 25, 2008 from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. on Wednesday November 26, 2008 at the Goshen Christian Reformed Church, 41 Route 17A, Goshen, NY 10924. The Reverend Stanley Sturing will officiate. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Marcelina Lucas

Marcelina Lucas of Warwick, NY a retired Principal for the Park Avenue Elementary School Warwick, NY entered into rest November 10, 2008 at Valley Hospital Ridgewood, N.J. She was born January 27, 1916 in Chicago, Il. She was the widow of the late Ira Lucas II. She is survived by : 2 sons Ira Lucas III of Queens, NY and Darryl and Kim Lucas of Warwick, NY; Niece Barbara Lloyd of Wesson, Mississippi and many cousins. Private funeral services were held at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, Florida, NY with the Rev. Daniel Boyce officiating. Interment was held in Florida cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association 1 Union Street, #301 Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183 or the Disabled American Veterans; or the Disabled American Veterans P.O. Box 14301 Cincinnati, Oh 45250-0301.

Barbara J. Olson

Barbara J. Olson of Goshen, NY, a retired bookkeeper for Mechanical Rubber, Warwick, entered into rest on Tuesday January 6, 2009 in Campbell Hall, NY. She was 74.
The daughter of the late Kathleen May Jones and John Freeman West, she was born September 26, 1934 in Brentwood, England.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and was Matron for 2 years, and was a member of the Florida Presbyterian Church Choir.
She was married to the late Harold Olson.
She is survived by: 2 nieces Janet Fox of England, Dawn Nolan of Scotland and numerous cousins.
Barbara was also predeceased by her only brother Peter.
There will be no visitation, a memorial service will be held at a later date at the Florida Presbyterian Church.

Andrew J. Pawliczek

Andrew J. Pawliczek of Monticello, NY, entered into rest on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY. He was 50.
The son of the late Andrew F. Pawliczek & Martha Mudrick, he was born on July 3, 1958 in Warwick, NY.
Survivors include: Son - Andrew 'Drew' Pawliczek; 3 Sisters - Lillian Graffam of Natick, Mass.; Andrea Ford of New York City; & Diane Pawliczek of New Mexico; 1 Nephew Jesse Graffam of San Francisco, Ca; Several Aunts & Uncles & Cousins
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18th from 9:00 - 11:00 A.M. at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.
Funeral mass will be held Tuesday morning 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Church, Florida, NY. The Reverend Joseph Tokarczyk will officiate.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Andy loved horses and worked as a groom and assistant trainer at Yonkers Raceway & Monticello Raceway for many years.
Memorial Contributions may be made to The Humane Society of the United States, 2100 L Street, NW, Washington, DC 20037.

Robert Murtie

Robert “Bob” Murtie of Pine Island, a life-long resident of the Town of Warwick died November 1, 2008 at home. He was 54.
The son of the late Edgar P. Murtie and Mary Mayo Murtie, Bob was born on May 2, 1954 in Brooklyn.
Bob was retired from the United States Army, United States Postal Service and was a past member of the Amity Volunteer Fire Company.
He is survived by his son Tyler Zygmunt Murtie of Pine Island, his mother Mary J. Murtie of Scotia, brothers Joseph P. Murtie of Warwick, Bruce A. Murtie of Georgia, Richard F. Murtie of Warwick, spouse Marie Zygmunt Murtie of Pine Island, as well as his uncle, aunts and several nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his father Edgar P. Murtie, sister Maureen A. Murtie and grandmother Margaret J. Keenan.
The family will receive friends Thursday November 6th from 6-9PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route #1, Pine Island, NY 10969. Funeral mass will be held 10:00AM –Friday November 7th at St. Stephen’s R.C. Church, 75 Sandfordville Rd, Warwick, NY 10990.
Burial will be in the Orange County Veteran’s cemetery, Goshen, NY.
Memorial contributions in Bob’s name may be made to the Amity Volunteer Fire Company, 59 Amity Rd, Warwick, NY 10990 or to a charity of one’s choice.

Lucy Coleman Whitmore

Lucy Coleman Whitmore, infant daughter of Lori M. Coleman and Jason R. Whitmore, immediately entered into the presence of the Lord on December 17, 2008 and is now one of God’s angels. Survivors include her maternal grandparents; Mary and Robert Coleman of Florida, NY; paternal grandparents; Maureen and Jay Hudson of Campbell Hall, NY and Robert and Mary Ellen Whitmore of Maiden, VA.; Maternal great-grandmother; Martha Regelski of Middletown, NY and paternal great-grandmother; Betty Corda of Goshen, NY; Uncles; James Coleman (Casie Freshko) and Joseph Coleman of Florida, NY; Aunt Lisa Whitmore of Portland, OR; And Cousin; Ryan Coleman.
