Trayvon Darnell Freeman, 4, of Charlotte, N.C., died Saturday, the victim of a drowning. He was born in Syracuse. He was a former member of Refuge Tabernacle Church of God in Christ and was a member of New Life Fellowship Center in Charlotte.Survivors: His mother, Carolyn M. Perry of Charlotte; his father and stepmother, Darryl A. Freeman Sr. and Mary Freeman of Syracuse; three sisters, Brittany Bell and Keasia Freeman, both of Charlotte, and Diara Freeman of Syracuse; four brothers, Dyrell  Jackson of Rochester, Adrian and Darryl Freeman, both of Charlotte, and DaMair Freeman of Syracuse; his paternal grandmother, Jeanette Freeman of Syracuse; his paternal grandfather, Julius Freeman of  Washington, D.C.; his maternal grandmother, Annie Perry of West Memphis, Ark.; his maternal grandfather, Horace Perry Sr. of Syracuse. Norma Bain Gallagher, 78, of Manlius, died Sunday in Van Duyn Home and Hospital, Onondaga Hill. She was born in Peru, Ind. Robert E. Hayes

Robert E. Hayes, 87, of 683 Moore Road, Bridgeport, died Wednesday. Born in Syracuse, he had lived on Tennyson Avenue in Syracuse before moving to Bridgeport. He graduated from Most Holy Rosary High School and Powelson Business Institute. He retired in 1976 as a foreman at Crucible Specialty Metals after 44 years. He coached baseball at St. Patrick's High School and the Syracuse Biddy All-Star basketball team during 1955-56 in national tournaments. He was named one of the top 200 basketball players in the Parochial League. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church. His wife, Helen M., died in 1994.Survivors: Two daughters, Charlotte Ferstler of Bridgeport and Helen M. Chase of Liverpool; two sons, Robert E. Jr. of Syracuse and John of Baldwinsville; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Services: 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home and 9 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Calling hours, 3 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home, 1628 W. Genesee St., Syracuse. Contributions: St. Patrick's School, 210 Schuyler St., Syracuse 13204.

Teddy Jacobs, 35, of Elbridge died Wednesday. Born in Syracuse, she lived in Baldwinsville most of her life before moving to Elbridge four years ago. She graduated in 1988 from Baker High School in Baldwinsville. She was a stock clerk for Big M Market in Baldwinsville and Seneca Knolls. Her father, Richard E., died previously.Survivors: Her mother, Helen M. Ripple of Elbridge; two sisters, Penny J. Nelson of Louisville, Ky., and Candy J. Glenn of Baldwinsville; a brother, Earl Jacobs of Lodi. Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Falardeau Funeral Home. Burial, Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse. Robert F. Kitts

Robert F. Kitts, 74, of county Route 7, Hannibal, died Wednesday. He was a life resident of the Hannibal area. He retired after 12 years with Laborers Local 214 in Oswego. He worked previously as an appliance repairman with Montgomery Ward and Agway. He retired in 1967 as a master sergeant, 1st class, Explosive Ordinance Detachment at Fort Monmouth, N.J., after 21 years. His wife, Frances M., died in 1994.Survivors: Two daughters, Patricia L. Buske of Augusta, Ga., and Diane F. James of Hannibal; five sisters, Marie Stanley of Fulton, Dorothy Saunders of Hannibal, Elizabeth Bottery of Rochester, Catherine Lafave of Columbus, Ga., and Gladys Fowler of Oswego; two brothers, Theodore of Fulton and Paul of Bakersfield,  Calif.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. today at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal. Burial, Fairdale Rural Cemetery.

Homer I. McGee

Homer I. McGee, 85, of Lock Street, Phoenix, died Sunday. Born in Clay, he attended Baldwinsville schools. He retired in 1979 after many years as an assembly line operator at Carrier Corp. He was a member of Baldwinsville First United Methodist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5540 in Phoenix. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. His wife, the former Eunice Benson, died in 1997.Survivors: Two sons, Robert of Phoenix and Lance; two sisters, Helen Hurd of Sodus and Phyllis Boutin of Roxbury; a brother, Bruce of Palo Alto,  Calif.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Services: Were in Baldwinsville. Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, Phoenix, had arrangements.

Joseph P. Mulligan

Joseph Patrick Mulligan of Liverpool died Wednesday at Syracuse Home Association in Baldwinsville. Born in Canton, Ohio, he graduated from St. John's Catholic High School. He retired in 1990 as a court attendant for the Onondaga County Sheriff's Department after 12 years and was also a wood scaler for Ogdensburg Diamond International. He was a member of Liverpool-Clay Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a communicant and Eucharistic minister at St. John's Church and was founder and coordinator of its Adult Altar Servers. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II.Survivors: His wife of 56 years, the former Virginia Valois; two daughters, Nancy Wilson of Liverpool and Mary Gunsalus of Virginia Beach, Va.; two sisters, Nancy Markley and Margaret Klein, both of Canton; a brother, John Mulligan of Canton; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Services: 9:15 a.m. Saturday at Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners and 10 a.m. in St. John's Church. Burial, Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Norma Patterson, 92, of Onondaga Nation died July 21. Born in Syracuse, she graduated from Thomas Indian School in Gowanda and Syracuse Technical High School. She retired in 1978 and had been a practical nurse for Syracuse General Hospital and Syracuse Home Association. She was a member of Onondaga Nation Snipe Clan and a craftsperson at the New York State Fair where she won many awards. She was a member of United Methodist Church Choir on the Onondaga Nation.Survivors: Two daughters, Wilnora Renninger of Clymer, Pa., and Beulah Ludic of Northern Cambria, Pa.; two stepsons, Carl Pierce of Nedrow and Gary Pierce of Marysville,  Calif.; a sister, Elizabeth Patterson of Auburn; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home. Burial, Onondaga Valley Cemetery. Calling hours, 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, 4612 S. Salina St., Syracuse.

Frank L. Schadt Jr., 91, formerly of Hampton Road, Syracuse, died Wednesday at St. Camillus Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Syracuse, he graduated from Vocational High School and American Institute of Laundering. He retired in 1997 as founder and operator of F.L. Schadt Equipment Co. after 40 years. He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church and a member of Pastime Athletic Club and the American Legion. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. His wife, the former Mary Ryan, died in 1991.Survivors: A son, Dr. Frank L. III of Wilmington, Del.; a brother, Robert F. of Syracuse; two grandsons.
