San Antonio, Texas - William C. Fry, a resident of San Antonio, Texas, died July 25, 2003 in San Antonio, Texas. William was born in New Castle, Del. on Feb. 23, 1905. Following his retirement from the Acme Market in Stroudsburg, Pa., he assisted his son-in-law, David Spangenberg, at Spangenberg's IGA Market in Port Jervis. He is survived by three daughters, Joyce Spangenberg of Port Jervis, Joan Schwartz of Carlsbad, Calif., and Wilhelmina Rollins of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. His memorial service will be held on Friday, August 15 at 11 A.M. at Drew United Methodist Church in Port Jervis.

NATHAN BECK

Brooklyn, N.Y. - Nathan Beck, a retired packer in the NYC garment district, and a resident of Brooklyn, died July 28, 2003 at Brookdale Hospital, Brooklyn. He was 78. Nathan was born March 15, 1925 in Boston. Survivors include his daughter, Tammy de LaParra of Ellenville. Friends may call on Monday, August 4 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at Loucks Funeral Home Inc., Route 209, Ellenville. Funeral services will be on Monday, August 4 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Mary Savage will officiate. Creamation will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Loucks Funeral Home, Inc.

JOSEPHINE IEZZI

Town of Cornwall - Josephine Iezzi, a resident of the Town of Cornwall, died Thursday, July 31, 2003 at Fishkill Health Center. She was 79. Josephine was the daughter of the late Michael and Lucy Pedi, and was born February 4, 1924 in New York City. Surivors include her husband, Gaetano Iezzi; one brother, Francesco Pedi of Cornwall; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 2 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at Hudson Valley Funeral Home Inc., 239 Quassaick Ave (Rt 94), New Windsor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 2 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, 340 Hudson St., Cornwall. Cremation will be in Cedar Hill cemetery. Arrangements were made by Hudson Valley Funeral Home Inc.

BERTHA L. SIMPSON KING

Portland, Ore. Formerly of Middletown, N.Y. - Bertha L. Simpson King, a resident of Portland, Ore., entered into rest Friday, July 18, 2003 at Providence Hospital in Portland, Ore. Bertha was the daughter of the late Walter W. and Inez Babcock Simpson, and was born March 1, 1933. Survivors include a son, Walter Lynch and his wife, Vicki; a daughter, Cynthia Tubbs of Portland, Ore.; seven sisters, Ida Kniffin and her husband, Edward, Janet Young, Cheryl Kowalczik and Gail Smith of Middletown, Linda Salvati and her husband, Joseph, of Cuddebackville, Judith Boyce and her husband, Don, of Titusvill, Fla., and Brenda Mitchell and her husband, Guy, of Clermont, Fla.; two brothers, Richard Simpson and his wife, Sharon, and Donald Simpson and his wife, Tina, of Middletown; grandchildren; and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, John King; her son, Daniel Lynch; her brother, Walter wm. Simpson Jr.; and three sisters, Patricia Miller, Marilyn Taylor, and Betty Lou Simpson. Funeral services were held Friday, July 25 in Portland, Ore. under the direction of Sunnyside Little Chapel of the Chimes.

DOROTHY E. COMPTON

Goshen, N.Y. - Dorothy E. Compton, a homemaker and lifelong resident of the area, died Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at the Orange County Residential Health Care Facility, Goshen. She was 79. The daughter of the late Arnold and Alice Schnell Osborne, she was born February 22, 1924 in Spring Valley, N.Y. She was the widow of Harrison B. Compton. Survivors include her son, Stephen A. Compton of Danbury, Conn.; daughters, Cheryll M. Compton and her husband Kevin C. Jones of Goshen, Linda Loughran and her husband James A. of Salisbury Mills; brother, Ted Osborne of Port Richey, Fla.; sisters, Olive Long of Richmond, Va., Charlotte Thornton of Ogdensburg, N.J.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Cremation will be in Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope. REGINA GOLDSTEIN

Marietta, Ga. - Regina Goldstein, 79, loving and beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died July 30, 2003, at her home in Marietta, Georgia. Mrs. Goldstein was born in Poland, and was a survivor of the Holocaust. Having overcome great adversity, she came to the United States in 1949 with her husband, Irving Goldstein. They were long time residents of Swan Lake until 1999. Together they owned Goldstein's Poultry Farm. Mrs. Goldstein was a devoted member of Congregation Temple Beth-El in Kauneonga Lake and the Bethel Chapter of Hadassah. A vibrant, dedicated and active member in the community, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Regina Goldstein is survived by her husband of 54 years, Irving Goldstein; daughters and sons-in-law, Claire and Neill Nichols and Marcia Jill Goldstein and John Sherwin; and by grandchildren, Adam and Samantha Nichols and Alexander and Jacob Sherwin, all of Marietta, Georgia. Funeral services will be held on Sunday August 3 at 12 Noon at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home Inc., 186 Broadway Monticello, N.Y. Rabbi Irwin Tanenbaum will officiate. Burial will in the Temple Beth-El cemetery, Route 17B, Bethel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Chapter of Hadassah. Funeral Arrangements by Joseph N. MARGARET MARY MCMAHON

Warwick, N.Y. - Margaret Mary McMahon, a retired account clerk for Seagrams in New York City, and a 3-year resident of Warwick, formerly of Scarsdale, died Thursday, July 31, 2003 at St. Anthony's Hospital, Warwick. She was 81. Margaret was the daughter of Martin and Beatrice Dowd McMahon, and was born October 20, 1921 in New York City. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Madeleine McMahon of Middletown; two nieces, Jean McMahon of Philadelphia, Pa., and Carol Thalhimer of Richmond, Va.; and two nephews, Brian McMahon of Bricktowne, N.J., and Richard McMahon of Middletown. She was predeceased by two brothers, Martin and James J. McMahon. There will be no public visitation. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 4 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, Cottage Street, Middletown. Cremation will be in Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh. The cremains will be interred in St. Joseph's cemetery, Middletown. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 407 East Main Street, Middletown, NY 10940. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, Middletown.

FRANK E. DeMARCO

Cornwall-On-Hudson, N.Y. - Frank E. DeMarco, a retired mechanic for West Point, and a resident of Cornwall-On-Hudson, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital, Newburgh. He was 80. Frank was born to the late Frank and Regina DeMarco on November 26, 1922 in Newburgh. He was a member of the American Legion post #1420 for 48 years, a WWII veteran, an avid golfer at Newburgh Country Club and a Jr Pro at the Powelton Club, Newburgh. Survivors include his wife, Margaret DeMarco of Cornwall-On-Hudson; one son, Daniel and his wife, Holly DeMarco, of Senaca Falls; one stepson, Joseph Considine of Blooming Grove; one stepdaughter, Kathleen Considine of New Windsor; one brother, John and his wife, Irene, of Newburgh; three sisters, Anita Conway of Newburgh, Lillian Slade of Florida, and Regina and her husband, Ralph Aluise of New Jersey; one granddaughter, Molly DeMarco of Seneca Falls; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Florence Johnson. The family will be present to receive friends and relatives on Sunday, August 3 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Coloni Funeral Home, 3001 Rt. 9W, New Windsor. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 4 at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh. Interment will be in Cedar Hill cemetery, Middlehope.

THERESA A. SALVEATI

North Myrtle Beach, S.C. - Theresa A. Salveati, a longtime area resident of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., formerly of Newburgh and Lighthouse Point, Fla., died Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at Summit Place, North Myrtle Beach, S.C. She was 88. Theresa was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Peck Frew, and was born February 21, 1915 in Newburgh. She was active in the Fraser Clan, the Grange and the Golden Age Club. Survivors include her husband, Frank Salveati of Little River, S.C.; her sons, Robert and his wife, Barbara Sager, of Mt. Laurel, N.J., Richard and his wife, Gertrude Sager, of E. Meredith, Edward and his wife, Barbara Sager, of Newburgh, Andrew and his wife, Deborah Sager, of Greenville, N.C. and S. Hero. Vt., and John and his wife, Carole Sager, of Newburgh; loving grandmother to 13 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren; three sisters, May Benedict of New Windsor, Peg Coan of Longwood, Fla., and Jean Cromwell of Panama City, Fla.; one brother, Bill Frew of Newburgh; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Edward R. Sager. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the James F. Lulves Funeral Home, 9 Avenue A, Cornwall-On-Hudson, under the direction of the Perrott-Berardinelli Home For Funerals. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 4 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Newburgh. MERLE R. GRAZIANO

Highland Falls, N.Y. - Merle R. Graziano, a lifetime resident of Highland Falls, died Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Cornwall. She was 87. The daughter of Ned Richardson and Marguerite Straeter Richardson, she was born at West Point on July 27, 1916. After her mother died, Eva Richardson became her stepmother. Merle's sister Effie predeceased her. Joe Graziano, her beloved husband died in 1969. Merle is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and dear friends with whom she sustained loving relationships. Merle demonstrated outstanding dedication to her community. Her volunteer service included the following: Delivery of meals on wheels twice weekly, 20+ years; lifelong member of Church of the Holy Innocents; vestry member, altar guild, choir member, food pantry, St. Mary's Guild lay leader, Board of Directors, Episcopal Church Women (Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster Counties); officer/member of Eastern Star; served on immunization clinics for children, volunteered work on Red Cross Blood Drives, drove senior citizens to doctor visits, hospital visits, and the like. Merle was the "Orange County Senior Citizen of the Year" in 2002, based on her outstanding contributions as a community leader. Merle was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Senior Citizen Highlanders Club. As a member of the civilian work force at West Point, she managed the pay for generations of cadets and military personnel at the Finance and Accounting Office. She retired after 36 years. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the William F. Hogan Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Highland Falls. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, August 5 at 11 a.m. from Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, Highland Falls. The Rev. Judy Ferguson will officiate. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope. A family statement reads, "Merle Graziano was a remarkable woman who led an exemplary life - always reminding us of living our faith daily by loving and helping all people. She was true to herself and we will all miss her. She believe in the motto - Service above self." EILEEN V. FOX-MYRDEN

New Windsor, N.Y. - Eileen V. Fox-Myrden, a secretary for Pennie and Edmonds Attorney at Law, Manhattan, died Sunday, October 5, 2003 at Cornwall Hospital. She was 51. The daughter of Gertrude Rehm Fox and the late William J. Fox, she was born October 28, 1951 in Brooklyn. Survivors include her husband, David Myrden; her mother, Gertrude Rehm of New Windsor; one brother, William J. Fox III. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, October 8 at Hudson Valley Funeral Home Inc., 239 Quassaick Ave. (Rte 94), New Windsor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday, October 9 at St. Francis Church, Newburgh. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery, New Windsor. HELEN TERWILLEGER

Port Jervis, N.Y. - Helen Terwilleger, of Port Jervis, formerly of Honesdale, Pa. died Monday, October 6, 2003 at Orange County Residential Health Care Facility, Goshen. She was 82. She was born June 7, 1921 in Port Morris, N.J., the daughter of the late Raymond and the later Louise McDaniel McKinney. She was the widow of the late Paul E. Terwilleger Sr. He died in 1992. Surviving are two sons, Paul E. Terwilleger Jr. of Greeley, Pa., Raymond F. Terwilleger of Greeley, Pa.; three grandchildren, Mark, Dawn and Denise. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be held at Indian Orchard cemetery, Honesdale, Pa. Funeral arrangements are by Gray-Parker Funeral Home.

EDA I. SCOTT

Monticello, N.Y. - Eda I. Scott, of Monticello, passed into eternal rest on Thursday, September 25, 2003. She was 89. Born in New York City, N.Y. on December 5, 1913, she was the daughter of Carlo Pittaluga and Carolina Bienotti Pittaluga. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Daniel Scott; and brothers, Angelo Pittaluga, Anthony Pittaluga and Norman "Hoot" Pittaluga. She was the dearly beloved mother of Pamela Scot Strich of Charleston, S.C., Michael and Mary Scott of Stuart, Va., Allan and Karen Scott of Smallwood, N.Y. and Gary and Susan Scott of Glenview, Ill. Mrs. Scott is also survived by her sisters, Inez Beers and Josephine Stephenson. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Scott worked for New York Bell Telephone Co. in the Communication Department. She was devoted to her family and to her Lord. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Monticello on Saturday, October 11 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice, in Mrs. Scott's honor.

HARRY L. CRAIG

Hamptonburgh, N.Y. - Harry L. Craig of Goshen, a retired supervising engineer in West Point, and a 46-year resident of the area, died on Monday, October 6, 2003 in Goshen. He was 81. The son of Harry and Mary Hayes Craig, he was born on December 2, 1921 in Florida. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Hamptonburgh, and a member of the Middletown Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Sarah Sarine Craig at home; a son, David Craig of Louisville, Ky.; five grandchildren, Charisse Robinson, Carolyn Syris, Samuel Craig, Abbi Craig, Mary Kate Craig; and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Harry W. Craig; and two sisters, Frances Arnott and Clara Sloat. Visitation will be held at Donovan Funeral Home, 82 south Church Street, Goshen, on Thursday, October 9 from 1 to 2 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 9 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Florida cemetery, Florida. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.

PETER MICHAEL DOHAN

Newburgh, N.Y. - Peter Michael Dohan of Newburgh, an employee of Fisher Brothers in Manhattan entered into rest on Monday, October 6, 2003 in Newburgh. He was 46. The son of Joan and Michael Dohan, he was born on February 15, 1957 in New York. Survivors include his son, Peter (PJ) Andrew Dohan of Town of Newburgh; a daughter, Cassandra (Cassie) Marie Dohan of Town of Newburgh; a sister, Patricia Choma of Newburgh; a brother, Michael Dohan of Florida; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Constance M. Dohan. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 9 at the Brooks-DiDonato Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 10 at St. Patrick's Church, Newburgh. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill cemetery, Newburgh. .

CHARLES HANDEL

Florida, N.Y. - Charles Handel, owner of Monroe Flea Market, Monroe and 58-year resident of the area, died Friday, October 3, 2003 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Goshen. He was 59. The son of the late Samuel R. Handel and May Arrington Handel, he was born August 23, 1944 in Brooklyn. Survivors include his wife, Lois J. Campbell Handel of Florida, N.Y.; daughter, Julia Flower of Washingtonville; brothers, James Handel of New Windsor, Robert Handel of Binghamton; sisters, Barbara Albert and Vivian Zigler both of the state of Florida; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 11 in the First Presbyterian Church of Monroe, 142 Stage Road, Monroe. Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope. Contributions may be made to the Florida Fire Department Florida, NY. Arrangements by Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush Inc. SUZANNE GUADAGNO

Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. - Suzanne Guadagno, a retired bank worker for the Union Bank of Jacksonville, Fla., entered into rest peacefully at her home on September 27, 2003. The daughter of William H. Houston and Helen E. Cagney, she was born on February 3, 1941 in Newburgh, N.Y.. Suzanne traveled extensively and lived in many different countries since she left the Newburgh area in 1962. A family statement reads, "Suzanne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who had a witty magical soul and who will be missed by all." Survivors include her husband Michael J. Guadagno of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.; her two daughters, Christine Ann Martin and her husband Seymour of Conway, S.C., Lisa Ann Paul and her husband David of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Barbara Pointer of Raleigh, N.C. and Amy Finnegan of New Windsor, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Amanda, Katie, Megan and Patrick Martin. She was predeceased by one brother, William S. Houston. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at the Quinn-Shalz Family Funeral Home, Jaxs Beach, Fla.

ROLAND F. BLOSSOM

Highland N.Y. - Roland F. Blossom, a 40 year resident of Highland, died October 5, 2003 at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis. He was 81. Roland was born June 9, 1922 in Poughkeepsie to Frederick J. Blossom and Gillian Morris. He married the former Pegi Jane Phillips on January 19, 1963 at St. Augustine Church in Highland. He was a member of the Italian Center and a WWII Navy veteran. Survivors include his wife, Pegi Jane Phillips Blossom, at home; Larry Blossom and his wife, Rieta, and their daughter, Sharon; Dot and Bill Gruner and family; Marie and Dom Letterii and family; Tommy Phillips and family; Grace Marie Phillips and family; Shirley DeMaio and family; Billy and Barbara Phillips and family; Linda and Lara Rodrian; and Carol and Ish Harris and family. There will be no calling hours. Services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Italian Center Building Fund, 227 Mill St., Poughkeepsie, NY 12601; or a charity of your choice. HELEN SCHLEIDER

Bethel, N.Y. - Helen Schleider, a longtime resident of Bethel and a retired bookkeeper for Cook & Davis in Monticello, died on Monday October 6, 2003 in the Silvercrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Briarwood. She was 90. Helen was born in Newark, N.J. on August 16, 1913, the daughter of Reuben and Anna Fishman. She was the widow of the late Irving Schleider who passed in 1990. She was a life-member of Hadassah, B'nai Brith, Mothers of Bethel, the Sisterhood of Temple Beth-El and the Bethel Senior Citizens. Helen is survived by her daughter Anita L. Schleider; her grandson Royce B. Cetlin; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters Sophie Greenberg, Bella Kaplan, Ruth Glazner, Gussie Schwartz; one brother Sidney Fishman; and by one daughter Renee Cetlin. Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday October 8 at 2 p.m. in the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home Inc., 186 Broadway, Monticello. Rabbi Irwin Tannenbaum will officiate. Burial will be in the Temple Beth-El cemetery, Bethel. Funeral arrangements by Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home Inc., Monticello.

JANINE C. EDWARDS

Henderson, Nev. - Janine C. Edwards of Henderson, Nev. died Wednesday, September 17, 2003 in Henderson, Nev. She was 22. She was born in Liberty on February 26, 1981 to David and Brenda Edwards. She was a 10 year resident of Henderson, Nev. where she worked as a hotel front desk clerk. She graduated from the Advanced Technology Academy in 1999. She is survived by her mother, Brenda of Henderson, Nev.; her father, David and his wife, Roseann, of Bolivia, N.C.; one daughter, Destiny Poulter of Las Vegas, Nev.; one sister, Sara Simpson of Las Vegas, Nev.; half sisters, Alissa and Beth; and half brother, Andrew of Bolivia, N.C.; grandmother, Carol Zieres of North Branch; grandfather, Andrew Edwards of Highland; step grandparents, Vincent and Pat Augustine of White Sulphur Springs; and aunts, uncles, and cousins in Sullivan County. A memorial service was held in the Metropolitan Community Church on Wednesday, September 24, 2003.
