Stewart Moss
June 25, 1926 - September 11, 2011

Stewart Moss, a 40 years resident of Woodbourne, NY, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2011 in Lauderhill, Fl., at the age of 85. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 25, 1926 to the late Celia Friedman and Samuel Moss. Stu was married to the late Sherry Moss for 40 years. He was the father of James (Lizette) of Houston, TX and Steven (Joanne) of Monticello.
He leaves his beloved grandchildren, Andrew and Jason Moss of Monticello and Kevin and Nicole Moss of Houston, TX. He is also survived by his dear companion of 12 years Bea Lazaroff.
Stewart was a veteran of the Navy and Merchant Marine, serving during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He entered the Navy at the age of 16. In 1973 Stu was the recipient of the Silver Beaver for outstanding service to boyhood from the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member and past Master of the Fallsburg Lodge No. 1122 of the Free and Accepted Masons, Liberty, NY. Stu also served as Grand Director of Ceremonies of the Grand Lodge, State of New York, and Grand Representative of the Grand Lodge of Panama. He was a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason, Otseningo Bodies, Valley of Binghamton, NY and Kalurah Shrine Temple, Endicott, NY and past president of the Sullivan County Shrine Club. He had also served as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, Fallsburg, NY.
Stu was a 36-year member of the Senior Citizens of South Fallsburg, a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a former member and board member of Temple Shalom, Monticello, NY and a former member of Temple Emanuel, Kingston, NY. Stu was the NYS Commander of the Veterans of Underage Military Service.
There will be a Masonic service done by the Fallsburg Lodge on Friday, September 16, 2011 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788 at 1 p.m.; followed by a funeral service, Rabbi Michael Sturm will officiate. Interment will follow at the Sullivan County Veterans cemetery, Sunset Blvd, Liberty with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Masonic Medical Research Laboratory, 2150 Bleecker Street, Utica, NY 13502.

Stephanie Schoonmaker
August 22, 1957 - September 17, 2011

Stephanie E. Schoonmaker, 54 of Hurleyville, died Sat. Sept. 17, 2011. Visitation is on Sat. Sept. 24, 2011 from 11-1pm at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788. 845-434-7363.Service will be at 12:30pm at the funeral home.

Peter Ognan
September 25, 1950 - September 12, 2011

Peter Ognan of Woodbury, CT. passed away unexpectedly on September 12 , 2011 in Woodbury CT. he was 60.
He was the son of the late John and Julia Lagonowicz Ognan born on September 25, 1950 in Waterbury, CT.
Peter was an active member of his Catholic church and was a Religious Education Teacher. He was an avid action movie goer he who would never let a good movie go unseen. He was a loving father, brother and friend who will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved him.
He is survived by his two sons Matthew and John Ognan and one daughter Vivian Ognan, one sister Christine Ognan Hill, two Uncles Walter and Pete r Lagonowicz, ,and many friends, especially friend Bob Meadows.
Visitation will be on Monday, September 19, 2011 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 2-3:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday afternoon at 2:30pm at the funeral home.

Eileen Haworth Weil
August 17, 1942 - March 23, 2012

Eileen Haworth Weil of Summitville, retired professor and longtime community activist, died Friday, March 23, 2012 at home. She was 69.
The daughter of Hyman and Pauline Rothman, she was born in Brooklyn on August 17, 1942 and lived in Sullivan County since 1978. She earned her BA from New York University and her MA from Brooklyn College, and began her career as a teacher in the New York City and Chicago public schools. She taught for nineteen years as an adjunct associate professor of English at Sullivan County Community College, and during that time also served as associate director of the revived Shadowland Theater in Ellenville. With her husband, Andrew Weil, she founded A & E Management and Contracting, which has been in business since 1984.
Eileen’s activity in social and political causes began with the civil rights movement and her involvement with the New York City teachers’ union. She served on the Ellenville School Board and on the Executive Committee of the Ellenville chapter of the NAACP. In Sullivan County, she was a long-time member of the Bashakill Area Association, helped found the Sullivan County Human Rights Commission and the Sullivan Alliance for Sustainable Development, and served as co-chair for Sullivan Peace and Justice, all activities advocating for environmental protection, good governance, and positive working conditions. She was also an active member of the Mamakating Democratic Committee. For her work in the community, Eileen was recognized by the New York State Assembly and by the Office of Congressman Maurice Hinchey.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Jenny Malatras and her husband, Jim of Albany; her son, Kevin Haworth and his wife, Rabbi Danielle Leshaw of Athens, OH and by her brother, Mark Rothman of Scottsdale, AZ. Eileen was a loving and dedicated Nana to Zev and Ruthie Haworth of Athens, OH.
In lieu of flowers or donations, the family asks that each person take a specific action to help their community.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 25 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788 at 12 noon. Burial will follow at the Workman’s Circle cemetery in Oak Ridge, NY.

Kathleen L. Edwards
November 25, 1925 - March 13, 2012

Kathleen Edwards of Roscoe passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Roscoe Regional Rehabilitation Facility surrounded by her family. She was 86.
She was the daughter of the late Marshall and Ethel Tuttle, born on November 25, 1925 in Youngsville, NY.
Kathleen was a member of the Grooville Free Methodist Church for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend to all that knew and loved her; she will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her loving children, Edwin Edwards and his wife, Carol, Maria Wolcott and her husband, Ronald, and Dan Edwards and his companion, Olianna Black all of Livingston Manor, NY; eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; two sisters, Daisy Kelly of Florida, and Letha Sweet of Liberty, NY.
She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Wilbur "PA" Edwards, and two siblings John Tuttle, and Irene Gorr.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 16 at Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl St., Livingston Manor, NY 12758 from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be on Friday, evening at the funeral home at 7 p.m.

Gregory J. Radionoff
July 6, 1951 - March 30, 2012

Gregory John Radionoff of Mountaindale died on Friday March 30, 2012 at home. He was 60.
Greg was born on July 6, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY to George and Helen Minuck Radionoff-Deschambeault.
Greg served his country in the U.S. Army. He had a great passion for airplanes and spent timeless hours building model planes. He enjoyed spending special time with his cousins especially in his younger years.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Helen Deschambeault; one sister, Joan Radionoff; his aunts and uncle, Tanya and Sheldon Bolotnic and Angela Minuck his cousins John and Terry Minuck, Robert and Debbie Minuck Michael Minuck, Terri and Gene Suarez, Irene and Joseph Agro, Tammy and Gene Doyle and Tina and Renee' Paul and his long time companion Helen "Pat" Muniz. Gregory was predeceased by his father, George Radinoff.
Visitation will be today, Monday, April 2 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne. A Celebration of Gregory's life will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 3 at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Sullivan County Veterans cemetery in Liberty.

Kimberly Annette Devlin
May 23, 1967 - April 6, 2012

Kimberly Annette Devlin of Hurleyville passed away on Friday, April 6, 2012 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. She was 44.
She was the daughter of Wayne and Fay Boles Hosch Sr. born on May 23, 1967 in Huntsville, AL.
She attended Butler High School and later obtained her GED. She enjoyed many things like gardening and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend to all that knew and loved her she will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her husband Thomas Devlin of Hurleyville, her daughter Amanda Schwamberger of Hurleyville and her son Jesse Devlin of Hurleyville, her mother Faye (Boles) Hosch, her sister Sheila Hosch, her brother Wayne Hosch Jr., Claude Hosch all of Alabama.
She was predeceased by her father Wayne Hosch Sr.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 9, 2012 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 2-4:00pm.

Aaron Robert Scott
December 10, 1992 - May 24, 2012

Our beloved Aaron Robert Scott departed us on May 24, 2012. He was 19 years old.
Aaron was born to Keith and Noreen Scott on December 10, 1992 in Bon Secour Hospital in Port Jervis.
He joined his older sister Kirsten at home in Parksville.
Aaron attended Livingston Manor Central School and was a 2011 graduate.
Aaron enjoyed snowboarding, fishing, hunting, cooking and spending time with friends and family.
Aaron will be remembered best for his big smile, quick wit and humor and most of all for his overwhelming compassion.
was always the first person to lend a helping hand, give a piece of advice or simply be there to listen.
He had an amazing ability to give others a sense of comfort and joy.
In third grade he organized a penny drive to aid children that lost loved ones in the 9/11 tragedy.
He would reach out to anyone that needed it without question or judgment. He was intensely loyal to his friends and family and devoted much of his time to them.
He was inseparable from his sister Kirsten and was often the protective little brother.
Aaron was wise beyond his years; he truly was an old soul.
Aaron is survived by his parents, Keith and Noreen Scott of Parksville; sister, Kirsten Scott and Owen Stenz of Parksville; his grandmother, Ann Scott of Parksville; his grandfather, Robert Hansen of Liberty, great-aunt and great-uncle, Bertina and Kier Boyd; his aunts and uncles, Jeff and Corrine Scott of CA, Brenda and Ralph Downs of Parksville, Brian Scott of Jeffersonville, Wayne and Ellen Scott of Parksville; his cousins, Marissa and Chad Burgio of Liberty, Robert Scott of CA, Chiara and Paul VanValkenburg of Grahamsville, Ralph and Nicole Downs of Parksville, Michael Scott of CA, Garret Scott of CA, Nicholas Scott of Jeffersonville, Collin Scott of CA, Samantha Scott of Parksville, Christopher Scott of Jeffersonville, Gregory Scott of Parksville, Brittany Scott of Jeffersonville; his second cousins, Carmela and Luca Burgio of Liberty, Roberta Anderson of MD, Deborah Fowler of MD, Sandra McHugh of MD; and his third cousins, Kayla McHugh of MD, Aiden McHugh of MD, Lawrence Fowler of MD and Joshua Anderson of MD. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Robert Scott and Norman Nelson; his grandmother, Ellen Hansen and his uncle, Randy Scott.
A viewing will be held at Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl St., Livingston Manor, on Sunday May 27th from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday May 28th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a service immediately following. A celebration of his life will follow services on Monday at Hunter Lake Campground.
