ADOLPHUS LAPIERRE

Adolphus LaPierre, 81, of Sunset Avenue, died Sunday, May 4, 2003 at the Fletcher Allen Hospital in Vermont.

Born October 13, 1921 in Massena, NY, he was the son of Antonie O. and Hazel H. (Snyder) LaPierre.

On September 28, 1946, he and the former Ruth Reandeau of Tupper Lake were married at St. Alphonsus by Father Herrieux.

He is survived by his wife Ruth of 56 years, his daughter: Nancy and her husband Wayne Foote of Tupper Lake, his grandchildren: Lori and her husband Leon Jessie, and Derek Foote and his girlfriend Monica Bujold of Tupper Lake, Mark Eddy of Bradford, NY, Richard Eddy of Rochester, Carrie and her husband Gary Dykes of Rochester, and four great-grandchildren: Katlyn, Nicole, Connor and Samantha, a son-in-law: Richard Eddy of Bradford, NY, and a sister, Eldora LaDue of Tupper Lake.

He was predeceased by his daughter Judy LaPierre Eddy and his brother Wilfred and two sisters, Beulah Cary and Sally Young.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, May 7, from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at the Richer Funeral Home in Tupper Lake. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 8th, at 11am at St. Alphonsus Church. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery with full military honors.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Tupper Lake Rescue Squad in Mr. LaPierre's memory.

KATHLEEN GREEN

Kathleen Green, age 67, of Mountain View Road, Bloomingdale, died Thursday, May 8, 2003 at Adirondack Medical Center.

Born in Northampton, Massachusetts on December 8, 1935, she was the daughter of Clarence and Margaret (Callahan) Hewes.

She is survived by her husband Gordon of Bloomingdale, NY, two sons: John Brown of Port Orange, FL, and Scott Green of Saranac Lake, three daughters: Ann LaBarge of Madrid, NY, Louise Gladd of Saranac Lake, NY and Kathy Fadden of Onchiota, NY and three brothers: William Hewes of Gainesville, FL, Donald Hewes of Pensacola, FL and Roger Hewes of Northampton, MA, two sisters: Marie Poulin of Northampton, MA, and Gail Frenier of Northampton, MA, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Clarence Hewes, Jr.

Calling hours will be held at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Friday from 1pm to 3pm. A Funeral Service will immediately follow Friday afternoon at 3pm at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home with Reverend Kevin McEwan officiating.

Friends wishing to remember Kathleen Green may make memorial contributions to the American Lung Association in care of the funeral home.

DONALD W. PERYEA

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, May 10, 2003 at 12 noon at the North Elba Cemetery in Lake Placid for Donald W. Peryea. Mr. Peryea passed away January 17, 2003 at his home in Ray Brook, NY after a lengthy illness. Reverend Mark Demers, Pastor of the Adirondack Community Church in Lake Placid, will officiate. The Clark Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

JEANINE L. VINCENT

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, May 10, 2003 at 11am at the St. Agnes Cemetery in Lake Placid for Jeanine L. Vincent, who died on January 4, 2003 at her home on River Street in Lake Placid. Reverend Michael Gaffney, Pastor of the St. Agnes Church, will officiate. The Clark Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

BELA D. WARD

Bela D. Ward, a long-time resident and owner of WTC (Ward Computer Services) in Ray Brook, died recently.

In 1969, he married the former Edwina De Mattos.

Mr. Ward is survived by his mother: Aranka Ward of Uihlein Mercy Center in Lake Placid, a half sister in Hungary: Tildi Szarka, his former wife: Edwina Cormier of France and his companion of ten years: Germaine Miller of the Bloomingdale Road.

Fortune-Keough Funeral Home handled the arrangements for the cremation. Friends wishing to remember Mr. Ward may make contributions to the Tri-Lakes Humane Society in his memory.

THELMA A. DUKETTE

Thelma A. Dukette, 84, of Tupper Lake died Saturday, May 10, 2003 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake. Born on April 2, 1919 in Cincinnatus, NY, she was the daughter of Benjamin and Bertha (Brockett) Rice.

She was married to Carl Dukette. He died on May 15, 1975.

She is survived by three sons: Richard Davis of Kissimmee, FL, Gary Davis of Gorham, NH, David Dukette of Tupper Lake, one daughter: Gloria St. Onge of Tupper Lake, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one half-brother: William Rice of Fort Collins, CO, and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband Carl and one brother Darrell.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 13, from 7-9pm at the Fortune-Keough-Rennell Funeral Home in Tupper Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11am at the funeral home with Patty Francisco officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Tupper Lake Dive and Rescue Team in care of the funeral home.

PATRICIA A. FRIEDRICK

Patricia A. Friedrick, 68, of 30 Greenwood Street, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2003 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake. She was born in Lake Placid on November 16, 1934.

Mrs. Friedrick is survived by one daughter: Ann Marie Friedrick of Lake Placid and one son: Richard Friedrick and his wife Regina, also of Lake Placid. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Kayla and Ricky Friedrick and Jordan McLean, all of Lake Placid.

Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 13, from 7-9pm. A Bible Vigil Service will be held at the funeral home at 8:30pm. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, May 14, at 10am at St. Agnes Church in Lake Placid. Reverend Michael Gaffney, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in North Elba Cemetery.

HOWARD WINCH

A graveside service for Howard Winch, who died February 24, 2003, will be held Tuesday, May 13, at 2pm at North Elba Cemetery in Lake Placid. The Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake is in charge of arrangements.

ALBERT W. STEPHENSON

Interment services for Albert W. Stephenson, who died January 10, 2003, will be held Saturday, May 17, 2003 at 2pm at Brookside Cemetery in Bloomingdale. The Reverend Andrea Sears will officiate. The Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake is in charge of arrangements.

ALAN HOGLE

Interment services for Alan Hogle, who died December 8, 2002 will be held Saturday, May 17, 2003 at 2:15pm at Brookside Cemetery in Bloomingdale. The Reverend Andrea Sears will officiate. The Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake is in charge of arrangements.

ELMER WOLFE

Interment services for Elmer Wolfe, who died February 20, 2003, will be held Friday, May 16, 2003 at 2pm at Brookside Cemetery in Bloomingdale. The Reverend Linda McIntyre will officiate. The Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake is in charge of arrangements.

JANE W. PAGE

Jane W. Page of Lake Placid and Mesa, Arizona passed away at her home on West Heights, Lake Placid on Monday, May 12, 2003 after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Page was born in Comstock, NY on December 2, 1907, the daughter of Fred and Jennie (Herring) Warner. She and her husband Howard E. Page were married in 1939 after her retirement.

Jane is survived by her husband Howard of Lake Placid and Mesa, Arizona, one daughter: Dr. Georgia Elizabeth Page Stevens and her husband Roland of Poultneyville, NY, one son: James W. Page and his wife Virginia of Colorado Springs, CO. Mrs. Page is also survived by three grandchildren: Jenny McCargo of Telluride, CO, Heidi Page of Palo Alto, CA and Jim Page of Hong Kong, China. Jane is also survived by two great-grandchildren: Page and Keaton McCargo, both of Telluride, CO.

There are no calling hours. A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 15, 203 at 11am at St. Eustace Church in Lake Placid. Reverend Judson Pealer, Rector, will officiate. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to High Peaks Hospice, P.O. Box 840, Saranac Lake, NY 12983. The Clark Funeral Home in Lake Placid is in charge of arrangements.

WILLIAM A. WILKINS

A graveside service will be held Friday, May 16, 2003 at 2pm at the North Elba Cemetery in Lake Placid for William A. Wilkins. Mr. Wilkins passed away February 17, 2003. Committal prayers will be offered by Skip Trombley of the Lake Placid Assembly of God. Bill was a Veteran of World War II. After the committal prayers, the American flag will be folded and presented by members of his family. The Clark Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

REVEREND & MRS. CLAIR E. CARPENTER

A Memorial Service for Reverend and Mrs. Clair E. Carpenter will be held on Monday, May 19, 2003 at 2pm at the Adirondack Community Church in Lake Placid. Reverend Mark Demers, Pastor and Reverend Richard Sears, former Pastor will officiate. Reverend Carpenter was Pastor of the Adirondack Community Church from 1951 to 1960. After the Memorial Service there will be a reception for family and friends at the Erdman Hall adjacent to the church. The Clark Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

RUTH E. MILLER

Ruth E. Miller, age 88, formerly of 20 Church Street, Saranac Lake, died Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, NY.

Born in Rochester, NY on April 15, 1915, she was the daughter of Louis and Bell (Morris) Miller.

She is survived by two cousins: John Morris of Charlton, NY and Dr. Roy Miller of Seneca, NC. She is also survived by many second and third cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Louis Miller and her mother Bell Morris Miller and one brother Loren Miller.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 17, 2003 at 10am at Pine Ridge Cemetery with Pastor Harold Clark officiating.

Friends wishing to remember Ruth E. Miller may make memorial contributions to the Saranac Lake Free Library in care of the funeral home.

HERBERT M. TRIMM

Herbert Maurice Trimm, 75, of 65 Racquette River Drive, Tupper Lake died Monday, May 12, 2003 at his home following a long illness.

Born December 24, 1927 in Tupper Lake, he was the son of Maurice and Nora (Gale) Trimm.

He is survived by five children: Larry Trimm of Orange, TX, Nancy Trimm of Stockbridge, MA, Ken Trimm of Port Orchard, WA, Sandy Trimm Auer of Oakton, VA and Susan Trimm North Carolina, two sisters: Grace Trimm Bisson of Tupper Lake and Mildred Trimm Dupuis of Plymouth, MA, as well as eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call on Friday, May 16, from 7pm to 9pm at the Richer Funeral Home in Tupper Lake with a Masonic Service conducted at 7:30pm.

Burial in the Lakeview Cemetery, with full military honors, will take place this summer at the convenience of the family.

Those wishing to make a memorial donation in Mr. Trimm's name are asked to consider High Peaks Hospice.

RITA MARIE ARSENAULT

Rita Marie Arsenault, 74, of Maple Avenue, Long Lake, died Wednesday, May 14, at her home.

Born April 24, 1929 in Tupper Lake, she was the daughter of James and Mary Catherine (O'Donnell) Graham.

Surviving her are her children: Peggy Blair and her husband Fred of Long Lake and Bruce Arsenault, also of Long Lake; grandchildren: Diana Blair and Becky Blair of Long Lake, Eric Arsenault of Newcomb and Andrew Arsenault of Massena; three sisters: Janet and her husband Edward of Tupper Lake, Marion Blair and her husband William of East Hampton, MA, and Catherine Carroll of Tupper Lake; a sister-in-law: Marjorie Arsenault of Gloversville and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers: James and Arthur Graham.

Calling hours for Mrs. Arsenault will be held Friday, May 16, from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at St. Henry's Church in Long Lake. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Henry's Church at 3pm on Saturday, May 17. Burial will follow in the Long Lake Cemetery.

Those wishing to remember Mrs. Arsenault through memorial donations are asked to consider the Long Lake Rescue Squad or the Long Lake Medical Center X-ray Fund.

KATHRYN RAYMOND

Kathryn Raymond, age 89, of 23 Cliff Avenue, Tupper Lake, died Saturday, May 18, 2003 at her home under the care of her family and High Peaks Hospice.

Born December 13, 1913 in Westport, NY, she was the daughter of John P. and Pearl Trainor.

Mrs. Raymond was predeceased by her husband Mark Raymond on May 15, 1964. Survivors include two sons: Curt Raymond and his wife Nicholina of Vero Beach, FL, and John Raymond and his wife Mary of Saranac Lake; two daughters: Gail Rose and her husband Edward of Little Falls, NY, and Jane Cole and her husband Donald of Tupper Lake, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many close friends.

Friends may call at the Fortune-Keough-Rennell Funeral Home in Tupper Lake from 4-7pm Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 2pm St. Alphonsus Church in Tupper Lake with Father Kramberg, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.

Friends wishing to remember Mrs. Raymond may make contributions to High Peaks Hospice.

EDWARD N. REYOME

A Memorial Mass has been scheduled for Edward N. Reyome, who died February 10, 2003, at 12:30pm Thursday at St. John's Church in Lake Clear. Father Kevin McEwan will officiate.

The interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Lake Clear. The Fortune-Keough Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

JOHN BAFFA

An interment service for John Baffa, who died March 18, 2003, will be held Friday, May 23, at 12 noon at St. John's Cemetery in Lake Clear.
