An interment service for Pauline Fletcher, who died December 25, 2003, will be held Thursday, May 22nd, at 2pm at St. John's Cemetery, Lake Clear.

GEORGE J. SULLIVAN

A graveside interment service for George J. Sullivan will be held at St. Agnes Cemetery, Lake Placid at 10am on Friday, May 23, 2003. Mr. Sullivan passed away on January 21, 2003 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake. The Clark Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

CHARLES F. "BEANER" WHITE

A graveside interment service for Charles F. "Beaner"  White will be held at the St. Agnes Cemetery, Lake Placid at 10am on Saturday, May 24, 2003. Mr.  White passed away on March 11, 2003 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake. The Clark Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

MARY ALICE BURGOYNE

A graveside prayer service for Mary Alice Burgoyne will be held at the North Elba Cemetery in Lake Placid at 1pm on Saturday, May 24, 2003. Mrs. Burgoyne passed away on January 17, 2003 at the Uihlein Mercy Center. The Clark Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

DONALD J. FAVRO

A graveside prayer service for Donald J. Favro will be held at the St. Agnes Cemetery, Lake Placid at 10am on Tuesday, May 27, 2003. Mr. Favro, formally of Lake Placid, passed away on January 14, 2003 at the Medical Center of Central George. The Clark Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

NEWTON R. JONES

A graveside prayer service for Newton R.  Jones will be held at the North Elba Cemetery, Lake Placid at 2pm on Wednesday, May 28, 2003. Mr.  Jones passed away December 25, 2002 at the Alice Hyde Hospital, Malone, NY. The Clark Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

ANN ANTONIADES

Ann Antoniades, age 79, over Overlook Apartments, West Main Street, Bloomingdale, died Saturday, May 24, 2003 at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

Born in Manhattan, New York on August 20, 1923, she was the daughter of Walter and Mary (Tassousi) Trother.

She married Antonio Antoniades on September 5, 1950 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Saranac Lake by Reverend Couvalis. He predeceased her August 18, 1963.

She is survived by one daughter: Seva Anthony of Bloomingdale, NY and her "grand dog." She was preceded in death by her father and mother.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough funeral Home in Saranac Lake. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held at 3pm on Thursday, May 29, 2003 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, with Father Fredrick Dennis officiating.

Friends wishing to remember Ann Antoniades may make memorial contributions to Pendragon Theater in care of the funeral home.

LAWRENCE ANTOINE WOOD

Lawrence Antoine Wood, 91, of Don Smith Apartments in Tupper Lake, died Friday, May 23, at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

He was born December 29, 1911 in Tupper Lake, the son of Frank Joseph and Ida (Ouellet) "Dubois" Wood.

He had been married to the former Laurayne Martineau.

On March 24, 1972, he and Edith Schrader Ross of Palmyra were married in Tupper Lake.

He is survived by his son: Lawrence R. Wood of Vail, Colorado; his step-daughter: Becky and her husband James M. Shaw of Massena and Tupper Lake, a grandson: James L. Shaw and his wife Lynn of Clinton, NY, granddaughter: Catherine and her husband Robert Brothers of Massena, and four beloved great-grandchildren: the Brothers brothers: Logan and Jacob, and Allison and Evan Shaw, one brother: Ernest Wood of Tupper Lake, and one sister: Ruth and her husband Bernard Chartier of Florida and Tupper Lake.

He was predeceased by his wife: Edith in 1986, his brother: Leo Wood and two sisters: Marion Nichols and Beatrice Maroun.

A Funeral Mass was held at St. Alphonsus Church on Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at 11am. Burial followed in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.

Contributions are asked to be considered to the charity of one's choice or to the Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks.

GEORGE DEGUISTO

George DeGuisto, 75, of Deerland Road, died Sunday, May 25, 2003 at home surrounded by his family.

Born on February 8, 1928 in Yonkers, he was the son of Albert and Emma (Lehmkuhl) DeGuisto.

He is survived by his wife: Rita Bratt DeGuisto, his son: Robert and his wife Kathryn of Clinton Corners, and son: Albert and three grandchildren of Hyde Park, a brother: Charles of Lady Lake, FL, and a sister: Joan Hunt of St. Augustine, FL. A cousin: Ronald Poulsen of Louisville, KY, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 27, from 7pm to 9pm at St. Henry's Church Parish Hall. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 28, at 10am at the parish hall. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Long Lake Cemetery.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider High Peaks Hospice or Long Lake Volunteer Rescue Squad. Arrangements are with the Fortune-Keough-Rennell Funeral Home in Tupper Lake.

JAMES W. SCIVALLY

James W. Scivally, 90, a resident of Long Lake since 1928, died Saturday, May 24, 2003 at Mercy Healthcare Center where he had resided since 2001.

Born on July 25, 1912 in Franklin, TN, he was one of four children born to Effie and Andrew Scivally.

In 1950, he was married to the former Alice Doolittle.

He is survived by his son: Ricky of Tupper Lake. He was predeceased by his wife, one brother Buford, two sisters Ann and Sue.

There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 29, at 9:30am at the Long Lake Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are with the Fortune-Keough-Rennell Funeral Home in Tupper Lake.

JOHN WALTER KENT JR.

John Walter Kent Jr., age 31, of 159 River Street, Saranac Lake, died Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

Born in Saranac Lake, New York on June 29, 1971, he was the son of John and Barbara (Paye) Kent Sr.

John is survived by his mother: Barbara Paye Kent of Saranac Lake, his father: John W. Kent Sr. of Plattsburgh, a sister: Angela Kent of Saranac Lake, his maternal grandmother: Margaret Paye of Saranac Lake, three uncles: George Paye of Saranac Lake, William Paye of Saranac Lake, and Steve Pay of Asheboro, NC, three aunts: Linda Miller of Orange City, FL, Julie Shepard of Plattsburgh, and Linda Kent of Chulavista, CA and numerous cousins.

Visitation will be held at Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 29, 2003 at 2pm at the funeral home with Reverend Mark DeMers officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Saranac Lake.

Friends wishing to remember John may make memorial contributions to Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department Rescue Squad or High Peaks Hospice in care of the funeral home.

BERTHA H. SCHMIDT

Bertha H.  Schmidt, of 115 Park Avenue, Saranac Lake, beloved wife of the late John G.  Schmidt, died Wednesday, May 29, 2003 at her home. The Fortune-Keough Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

STANLEY ARSENAULT

Stanley Harry Arsenault, 79 of Newcomb Road, Long Lake, died Saturday, March 1, 2003 at his home.

Born April 21, 1923 in Long Lake, he was the son of Michael J. and Kate McIntyre Arsenault.

He is survived by his wife Rita, of 51 years, his daughter: Peggy and her husband Fred Blair of Long Lake, and his son: Bruce Arsenault of Long Lake, his grandchildren: Diana Blair and Becky Blair of Long Lake and Erik Arsenault of Newcomb, his sisters-in-law: Marjorie Arsenault of Wells, NY, Catherine Carroll of Tupper Lake, Janet and her husband Eddie Blair of Tupper Lake, Marion and her husband Willie Blair of East Hampton, MA.

He was predeceased by his twin brother and his mother who died in 1994 and his father in 1968. He was also predeceased by a half brother: Ashley Morrissee and two grand-daughters.

Calling hours will be held Monday from 2pm to 5m at St. Henry's Church in Long Lake. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday morning at 11am at St. Henry's Church. Burial with full military honors will follow in Long Lake Cemetery.

Donations may be made to the Long Lake Medical Center or the Long Lake Rescue Squad.

COLIN KELLEY

Colin Kelley died at his home on Saturday, March 1, 2003, after a courageous battle with ALS Lou Gehrig's Disease.

Colin Kelley is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine, whom he married on November 28, 1988. He is also survived by one son: Matthew of Lake Placid, two daughters: Amy Schuler of Hendersonville, Tennessee and Erin Schuler of Birmingham, Michigan and on grandson: Bruce Kelley. Colin is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law: Peter and Pearl Kelly of Keeseville, and one sister and brother-in-law: Jane and Robert Studebaker of Virginia, an aunt: Bernadette Lesperance, several nieces and nephews, including his Godson: Nicholas Kelley.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home. A Bible Vigil will be held at 3pm on Tuesday. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernard's Church at 2pm on Wednesday.

To honor Colin, Tad Stoorza will ride his bicycle back to New York from Gunnison, Colorado in May in order to raise money for ALS research. The family requests contributions be made either to support that effort in care of Debbie Stoorza or the funeral home, or to High Peaks Hospice in memory of Colin Kelley.

SCOTT A. MARSHALL

Scott A. Marshall, 46, of 91 River Street, Lake Placid, NY died at his home Friday, February 28, 2003. He was born in Irondequoit, NY on December 14, 1956, the son of Robert and Jane (O'Connell) Marshall.

He is survived by his wife Karen, one daughter: Samantha Marshall and two sons: Scott Marshall, Jr. and Adam Marshall, all of Lake Placid. He is also survived by his mother and father: Robert and Jane Marshall of Frankfort, NY, one sister: Sheryl Kendrick and her husband Scott of Pittsburgh, PA and three brothers: Douglas Marshall and his wife Cristina of LeRoy, NY, Brian Marshall and his wife Barbara of Lake Placid, and Kirk Marshall and his wife Janet of Mohawk, NY.

Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home in Lake Placid on Tuesday, March 4, from 5pm to 7pm. A Funeral Service will follow at 7pm. Reverend Mark Demers, Pastor of the Adirondack Community Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the North Elba Cemetery in May. Memorial donations may be made to High Peaks Hospice, P.O. Box 840, Saranac Lake, NY 12983 or the Melanoma Research Foundation, 23704-5 El Toro Road #206, Lake Forest, CA 92630.

LUCILLE MARGARET BEDORE

Lucille Margaret Bedore, 84, of Underwood Road, Tupper Lake died Thursday, February 27, 2003 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

Born October 25, 1928 in Winooski, Vermont she was the daughter of Leo David and Flossie Paquin Charette.

She is survived by her sons: Glenn and his wife Ann Bedore, David Bedore and Phyllis, four grandchildren: Jesse, Jennifer, David and Jenny, all of Tupper Lake, and three great-grandsons: Dustin, Nicolas and Chase, three sisters: Rosalie and her husband Raymond Proulx of Tupper Lake, Florence Tarbox of Piercefield and Yvonne LaFave of Tupper Lake, and a brother: Joseph and his wife Agnes Charette of South Colton, and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Tom, in 1996.

Calling hours were held Sunday, March 2, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Richer Funeral Home in Tupper Lake. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Alphonsus Church at 11am on Monday, March 3, 2003 with Father Donald Kramberg officiating. Burial will be held in May in St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Memorials may be made to High Peaks Hospice.

DONALD H. "DUCKY" MARTIN

Donald H. "Ducky" Martin, age 65, formerly of 32 Ampersand Avenue, Saranac Lake, died Friday, February 28, 2003 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

Born in Saranac Lake on April 24, 1937, he was the son of John and Dorothy (St. Louis) Martin.

He is survived by his wife Iva, the former Iva Bruso, whom he married August 3, 1963, a son: Donald P. Martin of Saranac Lake, a daughter: April Martin and Bill Luedecke of Elmwood Park, NY, two step-grandchildren: Cameron and Brenna Luedecke, both of Elmwood Park, NY, three sisters: Joan Ormsby, Virginia Bowen and Betty Jean Martin, two brothers: Robert A. Martin and Preston Burl, all of Saranac Lake, many nieces and nephews, and many grand-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother: John Martin and Dorothy St. Louis Martin, two brothers: Albert Terrio and John "Pete" Martin, a sister: Dorothy Sexton and his stepmother: Helen Terrio Burl Martin.

Visitation was held at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Sunday. A Memorial Mass will be held Monday at 12pm at the Uihlein Mercy Center Chapel with Father Patrick O'Reilly officiating. Interment will be in the Harrietstown Cemetery, Saranac Lake, in May.

Friends wishing to remember Mr. Martin may make memorial contributions to High Peaks Hospice or Uihlein Mercy Center in care of the funeral home.

LOUIS DEWYEA

Louis Dewyea, age 84, of Olive Street, Saranac Lake, died Sunday, March 2, 2003 at the Adirondack Medical Center.

He was born on October 3, 1918, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dewyea.

He is survived by one cousin: Nora Kay Geneway of St. Regis Falls, NY and many friends at the Adirondack ARC.

Calling hours will be at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake on Thursday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will immediately follow on Thursday at 4pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery in Saranac Lake in May.

JOYCE M. PAIEMENT

Joyce M. Paiement, 70, of Tupper Lake, died Monday, March 3, 2003 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

Born on May 26, 1932 in Tupper Lake, she was the daughter of Benjamin and Emma (Welch) Burnell. On November 30, 1952, she married Joseph Paiement at Holy Ghost Chapel. He died on July 17, 1993.

She is survived by four sons: John of Frisco, CO, Timothy of Tupper Lake, Matthew and his wife Penny of Tupper Lake, Paul of Tupper Lake, one daughter: Mrs. Jeffery (Susan) Trudeau of Piercefield, one brother: Richard Burnell of Tupper Lake, one sister: Mrs. Richard (Joan) Callaghan of Orlando, Florida, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 5, from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Fortune-Keough-Rennell Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11am at Holy Name Church. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Tupper Lake Volunteer Rescue Squad.
