Robert C. Williams
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Robert C. Williams, 70, of Scottdale, Ariz., died April 8, 1999.

He was born in Sayre, Pa., and attended Oneonta High School.

He was an electronics salesman and was an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by a son, Kevin Sean Williams of Florida.

Private services were held at National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, Ariz.

George John Obert
NEW BERLIN — George John Obert, 52, of New Berlin died Wednesday, April 21, 1999, in New Berlin.

He was born May 31, 1946, in Patterson, N.J., the son of Earl H. and Elizabeth (Ward) Obert (survived by his mother).

His childhood was spent in the Bloomingdale, N.J. area. He attended local area schools and Patterson State University.

He was a retired Patterson, N.J. fireman. He was a member of the South Edmeston Community Church, where he was a Sunday School teacher.

George is survived by his brothers and sisters, David and Karlene Obert of New Berlin, Mrs. Donald (Ruthann) Curlis of Wantage, N.J., Stephen and Katya Obert of Franklin, N.J. and Mrs. Joseph (Cynthia) Hayes of Warrenton, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held today at 11 a.m., at the South Edmeston Community Church, South Edmeston, with the Rev. Jeff McLallen of the South Edmeston Community Church officiating. Interment will be in the Gazlay Cemetery, South Edmeston.

Toivo J.  White
SIDNEY — Toivo J.  White, 76, of Sidney, died as a result of complications from a stroke on Saturday, April 24, 1999, at Valley View Nursing Home, Norwich.

He was born on Oct. 3, 1922, to the late John and Alma S. (Koivula)  White in Jersey City, N.J. The family moved to Mount Vision in 1929.

Toivo graduated from Laurens High School in 1941. He spent the war years helping his father on their dairy farm, while his twin brother, Hugo served in the Navy.

Toivo married Myrl-Jane Sobel in December 1950, in Oneonta. They resided in Oneonta, Laurens and Gilbertsville prior to settling in Sidney in 1961.

He worked for Enterprise Aluminum in Oneonta for many years, then he was employed by the State University College of Technology at Delhi, until he retired in 1986.

Toivo enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and driving around the hills of Central New York. He recovered substantially from a severe loss of mobility, and as recently as four weeks ago bowled with a cane more than 180 in a game.

Toivo is survived by a son, Thomas J.  White of  White Plains; and a grandson, Carter  White.

He was predeceased by his wife, Myrl-Jane, on Oct. 22, 1998.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 30, 1999, at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St., Sidney at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Roanne MacEwan, pastor of the First Congregational Church, Sidney, officiating.

Friends may call Thursday, April 29, the family will be in attendance from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral chapel.

Burial will be in Mount Vision Cemetery, Mount Vision, at 3 p.m. on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Toivo and Myrl-Jane  White to the Alzheimer's Disease Research, 15825 Shady Grove Rd., Suite 140, Rockville, Md. 20850-4022.

Arrangements are under the direction of C.H. Landers, Inc., 21 Main St., Sidney.

Danny Rey
MONTICELLO — Danny Rey, 14, of Monticello, passed away Saturday, April 24, 1999, at the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown.

He resided at the  Taylor House and attended school at the Upstate Homes for Children and Adults, Inc. in Oneonta.

Danny was born Nov. 26, 1984, in Patterson, N.J. He entered the Upstate Homes for Children and Adults, Inc. residential school program on March 31, 1997. Before entering the Upstate Homes for Children and Adults, Inc., he resided with his family.

Danny was loved by his family, staff and friends at the Upstate Homes for Children and Adults, Inc., and will be missed dearly.

Danny enjoyed listening to rhythmical music, eating out, going for van rides, riding his trike, dancing, playing ball, playing with his friends, and going for walks.

Danny will be remembered for his beautiful smile and playful laugh that touched the hearts of those who knew him.

Danny is survived by his mother, Juana Roma'n; Mr. Rey, his father; stepfather, Mr. Tobal; brothers, Luis M. Rey and Jose A. Tobal; sister, Sasha M. Tobal; as well as his aunt, Mrs. Elvira Amato.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 1999, at 11 a.m. with a 9 to 11 a.m. viewing time for family and friends at the Van Inwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, located at 195 Broadway, Monticello, N.Y. 12701. His burial will occur immediately following the funeral service.

Joan Loiacono
UNADILLA — Joan Loiacono, 70, of Unadilla, died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at home after a lengthy illness.

She was born Aug. 2, 1928, in Windsor, England, the daughter of Thomas and Anna (Newell) Williams.

She married Nicholas Loiacono in Astoria on April 28, 1946.

She lived in Unadilla for 26 years. She worked for Amphenol. She was a member of IAMAW.

Joan is survived by her husband, Nicholas Loiacono; her son, Larry Loiacono and wife, Pat Fallon, of Falls Church, Va.; daughter, Maryann Whitmore and husband, Richard, of Oneonta; granddaughters, Diane and Gerard Conte of Haverstraw, Tara Loiacono and fiance, Carl Montanye, and Beth Whitmore of Oneonta; grandson, Richie Whitmore of Oneonta; great-grandson, Gerard Conte Jr. of Haverstraw; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Anna and Frank Rafanelli of New City.

She was predeceased by a son, Nicholas Loiacono Jr., on April 24, 1995.

Funeral services will be held at a later date.

Contributions may be made to Catskill Hospice, Unadilla and Wells Bridge Emergency Squad.

Arrangements are by the Ottman Funeral Home, Cherry Valley.

Kyessha M. Everitt
DAVENPORT — Kyessha Marie Everitt, of Davenport, died Friday, April 23, 1999, at the Albany Medical Center, Albany.

She was born March 6, 1999, in Oneonta. The daughter of Duane and Mary (Garrison) Everitt.

She is survived by two brothers, Garrison and Andrew Everitt of Davenport; a half sister, Elizabeth Everitt of Molena, Ga.; a half brother, Scott Everitt of Davenport Center; her maternal grandparents, Lewis and Rosanna Garrison of Davenport; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Kyessha was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Harold and Cleda Everitt.

A service to celebrate the life of Kyessha Marie Everitt will be held on Saturday, May 1, 1999, at 3 p.m. at the Susquehanna Valley Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bruce P. McCardle officiating.

Robert Snyder
OAKLAND, N.J. — Services were held for Robert G. Snyder, 84, of Oakland, N.J., who died Thursday, April 8, 1999, at Carnation Manor Nursing Home, Oakland, N.J.

He was born in Westford, N.Y. He lived in Warnerville, N.Y., before moving to Oakland, N.J., three months ago.

Mr. Snyder was a railroad signal maintainer at the Delaware and Hudson Rail Road in Cobleskill, N.Y., for 40 years.

Mr. Snyder is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Lynch of Wanaque, N.J.; and a grandson.

He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Mickel.

Services were held Monday at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Rd, Wayne, N.J.

Graveside services will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Worcester, N.Y., at a later date.

Robert Williams
PHOENIX, Ariz. — Robert Cranmer Williams, 70, died Thursday, April 8, 1999, in Phoenix, Ariz.

Robert was born in Sayre, Pa., on April 17, 1928. He was the son of Guila Cranmer and John Williams. They are deceased.

He graduated from Oneonta High School in 1946. He graduated from Broome Community College in 1956.

He served in the United States Air Force at Brentwood Air Force Base in England.

Robert is survived by Kevin Sean Williams of Kissimmee, Fla.

Robert was cremated and buried in Arizona National Cemetery in Phoenix, Ariz.

Andrew Havrish Jr.
SOUTH JEFFERSON — Andrew P. Havrish Jr., 58, of Veley Road, South  Jefferson, died Monday, April 26, 1999, at his residence.

He was born May 5, 1940, in  Jefferson, the son of Andrew P. and Mary (Timan) Havrish.

Andy was a lifelong South  Jefferson resident who owned and operated a dairy farm for many years.

Andrew is survived by a daughter, Joyce L. Havrish of South  Jefferson; a sister-in-law, Helen Whispell Havrish of South  Jefferson; his nieces and nephews, which he raised after the death of his brother, Frank, Mary Ann and husband, Gary Kitson, of Oneonta, Suzanne and husband, Mark Johnson, of Jacksonville, Fla., JoAnne and husband, Sam Smith, of Sidney, Richard J. and Frank V. Havrish of South  Jefferson, William and wife, Linda Havrish, of South  Jefferson, Robert Havrish of Haverstraw, George Havrish of Stamford; grand-nieces and nephews, Cory, Sierra, Austin, Sammy, Nicolette, Katrina, and Brittany; brothers, William Havrish of South  Jefferson and Robert Havrish of Haverstraw; a sister, Helen Havrish of South  Jefferson; and other nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers, Frank and John Havrish and a sister, Margaret Havrish.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, 1999, at the Hall Funeral Home, 142 West Main St., Stamford, with the Rev. Don DeGarmo, pastor of the  Jefferson Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery in  Jefferson.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon and evening. The family will be in attendance between 7 and 9 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in Andy's memory to the  Jefferson Rescue Squad,  Jefferson, N.Y. 12093.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Stamford and Grand Gorge.

Doris Elaine Dauchy
BURLINGTON FLATS — Doris Elaine Dauchy, 47, passed away Monday, April 26, 1999, at home.

She was born Dec. 28, 1951, in Edmeston, the daughter of Jesse and Katherine Marks Stone.

She was a graduate of Edmeston High School, where she was the valedictorian of the Class of 1969.

Doris was married to Walton F. Dauchy on Dec. 25, 1971, at the Burlington Flats Baptist Church.

She served as vice president of information systems at New York Central Insurance Co., Edmeston.

Mrs. Dauchy was a member of the Burlington Flats Baptist Church and the Chenango County Professionals Insurance Group.

Besides her husband she is survived by her mother of Leonardsville; a daughter, Brenda S. Dauchy, and a son, Travis F. Dauchy, both at home; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Walton T. and Evelyn Dauchy of Burlington Flats; three sisters and bothers-in-law, Mary and David Coons of Catskill, Lois and Jack  White of Bouckville and Eileen and Robert Parslow of Leonardsville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Susan Stone of Kentucky and Jerry and Kathy Stone of Iowa; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The funeral service will be Friday, April 30, 1999, at 1 p.m. at the Burlington Flats Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Burlington Flats Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Wilcox-Dimbleby Funeral Home, West Winfield.

The family invites everyone, after the interment, to join them at the Annex of the Burlington Flats Baptist Church.

Billings Burlingame
CONCORD, N.H. — Billings G. Burlingame, 88, of Pleasant Street, died Monday, April 26, 1999, at Concord Hospital, N.H., after a brief illness.

He was born Sept. 11, 1910, in Worcester, N.Y., son of the late Menzo and Elizabeth (Gage) Burlingame.

He was a graduate of Hartwick College in Oneonta, N.Y. He was a professor at the State University College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill, N.Y., and he retired from the State Department of Education, Albany, N.Y., where he resided for several years.

Mr. Burlingame was a member of the Albany, N.Y., Oneonta, N.Y., and Concord, N.H. Rotary Clubs for a total of 60 years, and a Paul Harris Fellow. He was also a longtime member of the Main Street Baptist Church in Oneonta, N.Y., where he sang in the choir.

He was predeceased by his wife, Marion Louise (Brush) Burlingame, who died in 1986.

He is survived by one son, Roger G. Burlingame of Gilmartin Iron Works, N.H.; two daughters, Celia M. Klane of Dewitt, N.Y., and Shirley A. McAllister of Delmar, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Konstanty of Worcester, N.Y., and Eleanor Griffin of Tuscon, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, April 29, 1999, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord, N.H. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 1999, at the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oneonta, N.Y. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until service time. The Rev. Gary Bonebrake, pastor of the Main Street Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at the Glenwood Cemetery, Oneonta, N.Y.
