RICHFIELD SPRINGS — A graveside committal service for Theodore F. Dziadik, 66, of Richfield Springs, who passed away on Dec. 21, 2001, will be at 2 p.m. today, April 29, 2002, in Highland Rural Cemetery in Jordanville, with the Rev. William Harkins of the Church of Christ Uniting officiating.

RICHFIELD SPRINGS — A graveside committal service for Ida Walsh, 65, of Richfield Springs, who passed away on Nov. 19, 2001, will be at 1 p.m. today, April 29, 2002, in Lakeview Cemetery in Richfield Springs, with the Rev. Alan Miller of the Richfield Springs Bible Church officiating.

John R. Moore
SIDNEY CENTER — Graveside services for John R. Moore, who passed away Feb. 20, 2002, will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery, Unadilla, with the American Legion and the Moose Club, both of Sidney.

Inga A. Taylor
BLUE BELL, Pa. — Inga Anderson Taylor, 87, of Sunrise Assisted Living, 795 Penllyn Pike, Blue Bell, Pa., passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 17, 2002.
She was born May 17, 1914, in West Hoboken, N.J., the daughter of Emanuet (Harry) Anderson and Hanna Svanson, both of Sweden.
She moved from New Jersey to Blenheim Hill, N.Y.
She married William Watson Taylor on Aug. 20, 1938, in Jefferson, N.Y.
She graduated from Jefferson Central School, and from the Oneonta Normal College in 1936.
Inga's first teaching job was in a one-room school in Cornor Hallow; five grades, one pupil for each grade. The one-room school closed and later became the Brimstone Church at Blenheim Hill.
Inga went to teach at Jefferson Academy School where she taught third and fourth grade (40 students) for six years.
Inga took time off to raise her daughters, Sally and Victoria.
In 1953, Inga taught in Grand Gorge, third grade. In 1957, Inga moved back to Jefferson, and taught at the Jefferson Central School, fifth grade until 1973, when she retired.
She lived in Jefferson from 1938 to 1997 and the last five years she has lived in Pennsylvania.
She was a member of the Jefferson Grange, Jefferson Eastern Star and the Jefferson Methodist Church.
She was a Sunday School teacher, Jefferson, a Jefferson town clerk and a Jefferson school board clerk.
She was a Jefferson Youth Fellowship leader and a Girl Scout leader.
She is survived by her sister, Elsa Eklund, Blenheim Hill, N.Y.; daughters and son-in-law, Victoria I. Taylor, North Wales, Pa., and Sally T. and William V. Woods, Oneonta; and her shining star beloved grandson, David Woods, Manassas, Va.; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Lena Taylor, Florida, Mrs. Eloisa Taylor Carson, Coxsackie, N.Y., and Dorothy Anderson, Stamford, N.Y.; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and also, all of her students, who were also considered her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, William W. Taylor, in 1993; her brother, Harry Anderson; brothers-in-law, Bruce Taylor, Winn Taylor and Carl Eklund; and her parents.
A memorial service at the Blenheim Hill Church; and burial in Jefferson Cemetery, reuniting her with her husband, Bill, will be held at a later date.

Marie T. Burghard
STONY POINT — Marie Burghard of Stony Point, longtime resident of Jefferson and Bergenfield, N.J., died Sunday, April 21, 2002, at Nyack Hospital of complications after a long and courageous battle with cancer and leukemia.
She was born on Jan. 23, 1938, in the Bronx, to Frank and Angela Schirripe.
She moved to Bergenfield, N.J., and married the late Raymond W. Burghard Sr.
In 1974, they moved to Jefferson, where she lived until 1998.
Her legacy is the multitude of family and friends she leaves behind and the way in which she touched each of their lives.
She is survived by her trusted friend and longtime companion, Millard Cole; her beloved children, Rosemarie Pelatti and her husband, Joseph, of Stony Point; her son, Raymond and his wife, Audrey, of Bow, N.H. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, her "six little angels," Courtney, Lauren, Talia Marie, Kristin, Ingrid and Isabella Marie.
Marie was a businesswoman all her life, actively involved with her husband in their construction business and later a veal farm.
For 17 years she served as executive director of Western Catskills Community Revitalization Council, a non-profit corporation that assisted in revitalizing and building housing for low-income and senior citizens in several upstate New York counties.
She was active in many associations, frequently as a board member, including Rotary Club International in both Stamford and South Orangetown, New York State Veal Growers Association and the International Myeloma Foundation.
In 1998, she was honored by the New York State Legislature with the "Woman of Distinction" award and the Stamford Rotary Citizen of the Year Award.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Stamford. Interment will follow at Jefferson Evergreen Cemetery, Jefferson.
Friends may call at the T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home, Garnerville, Wednesday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, from 2 to 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Burghard Family Memorial Fund for Scholarships and Cancer Research.

Emma C. Edwards
FRANKLIN — Emma C. (Carrie) Edwards, 86, of Franklin, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2002, at the Countryside Care Center in Delhi.
She was born on Dec. 23, 1915, in Afton, the daughter of Charles and Emma (Knapp) LeSuer.
She married Theodore Edwards Sr. on Dec. 16, 1934, in Franklin. He died on June 13, 1978.
A homemaker, Carrie attended the Afton Baptist Church.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who enjoyed all the special times spent with her family.
She was an avid gardener, and took great pleasure in caring for her many plants.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Theodore and Martha Edwards Jr. of Sidney, John and Pat Edwards of Sidney, Sandra Mertz of Unadilla, Charlene and Ken Frear of Masonville, George and Donna Edwards of Franklin, Ron and Jodie Edwards of Mount Upton, and Rick and Bonney Edwards of Franklin; 33 grandchildren; and 52 great-grandchildren; and her brothers and sisters and their spouses, Charles and Mary LeSuer of West Oneonta, Azelea Miller of Sidney, Virginia Curry of Coventryville, Elizabeth and John Wright of Mount Vision, Rosemary Nightengale of Otego, and Florence King of Port Byron. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by an infant son, James Marvin Edwards; a daughter, Donna Brazie in 1983; three grandchildren; and a sister, Pauline Boyd.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2002, at 1 p.m. in the Kenneth L. Bennett Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Christopher Prezorski, pastor of the Afton Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Ouleout Valley Cemetery, Franklin.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 24, 2002, from 5 to 7 p.m. at which time the family will be in attendance.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Masonville Emergency Squad.

Edmund R. Jesionowski
FLY CREEK — Mr. Edmund R. Jesionowski, 86, of Fly Creek, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2002, at Compassionate Care Hospice, St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton, N.J., with his sons at his side.
He was born Oct. 21, 1915, in Pepacton, the son of Stanislaus and Hedwig (Pommerenke) Jesionowski.
He was married to the late Helen Polinski Jesionowski. He was married to Goldie Sauer Jesionowski; she survives.
Edmund attended Oneonta High School.
He was retired from the Otsego County Highway Department road crew, and Dairymen's League Co-op, after many years of loyal service.
Edmund was an avid bowler who participated in many local leagues and bowled in many Pro-Ams around the country. He also loved to just get in his car and travel the back country roads.
Survivors besides his wife, Goldie Jesionowski, of Fly Creek; include two sons and daughters-in-law, Walter and Ingrid Jesionowski of Jacobstown, N.J., and Robert and Marge Jesionowski of Snyder; three sisters, Mary Wilbur, Anna Gunther and Frances Sheldon; grandchildren, Yvette and Russ Comisky, Eric and Karen Jesionowski, Amy Jesionowski, Robert Jesionowski Jr. and his fiancee, Liz Marquette; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Madison Comisky and Erin Rose Jesionowski; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 26, 2002, at the Ottman Funeral Home, Cherry Valley, at noon, with the Rev. Richard Jesionowski, nephew of Edmund, officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Lakeview Cemetery, Richfield Springs.
Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Adelbert K. Yale
MILFORD — Adelbert "Del" K. Yale, 88, of Zephyrhills, Fla., passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2002, at his residence.
Del is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Viola; one son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Peggy Yale of Seymour, Tenn.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and John Twomey of Shallotte, N.C., Linda and Douglas Czerkies of East Springfield, and Doris and Larry Thompson of Cherry Valley; two sisters, Regina Harrison of Briney Breeze, Fla., and Evelyn Gillespie of Zephyrhills, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; one sister-in-law, Marian and husband, Jack Whiteman, of Cherry Valley.
Del was preceded in death by one brother, Ted of Milford/Zephyrhills, Fla.; as well as both parents, Charles and Alice (Harrington) Yale.
Del was born in Meadford, Canada, and came to this area in 1972, from the Milford/Cherry Valley area.
He was a longtime carpenter working in heavy construction and was a member of the Carpenters Union for 55 years with Local No. 258 in Oneonta. He worked for a number of years with Civil Conservation Corp. in the Smoky Mountains.
He was a member of Middlefield Baptist Church.
Calling hours will be on Friday, April 26, 2002, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Tillapaugh Funeral Home in Milford, when the family will be in attendance.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. in the Milford Cemetery on Friday, April 26, 2002, with the Rev. Robert Kazinski, pastor of the Milford United Methodist Church, officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Tillapaugh Funeral Service, Cooperstown and Milford.
Paul F. Carley
MILFORD — Paul F. Carley I, 83, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2002, after a lengthy illness.
He was born on the family farm in Milford on Nov. 3, 1918, the son of Henry J. Carley and Anne (Paulson) Carley.
He was first married to Dorothy Wood of Milford. He later married Helen Matteson of Mount Vision.
He was a former officer of the Goodyear Grange and a longtime member of the Eastern New York Poultry Club.
He bred beagle dogs and exhibition chickens. He enjoyed his ponies and horses and gardening.
He was an elder in the Presbyterian Church in Milford.
For many years he worked for J. Huntington and Dairyleague in picking up milk.
He is survived by his wife; his daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Thomas Seward of Milford; and a daughter-in-law, Joan Carley of Milford; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by four stepchildren; and four stepgrandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, William Carley of California and Harold Carley of Dundee; also a sister, Helen Carley Hall of Columbus, Ohio; and their respective families.
He was predeceased by a son, Paul F. Carley II; and a brother, Henry Carley Jr.
At his request there will be no funeral or any calling hours.
At a later date there will be committal service at the gravesite at the families' convenience.
It has been requested that any memorial contributions be made to the Catskill Area Hospice, 542 Main St., Oneonta, NY 13820.

Roger J. Schebesta
GRAND GORGE — Roger J. Schebesta, 55, of Grand Gorge, died Saturday, April 20, 2002, at his home after a lengthy illness.
He was born Sept. 14, 1946, in Margaretville, the son of the late Rudolph and Mary (Butler) Schebesta.
A 1964 graduate of Margaretville Central School, Roger was well-known locally for his expertise in bartending and his quick wit.
A friend to all who had the pleasure to meet him, he was an avid fisherman, golfer and philosopher.
Roger was employed by Kass Inn from 1978-1983, and operated the Roxbury Distributing Produce Company from 1983-1995.
Survivors include sister and brother-in-law, Rhoda and Daniel Drumm of Schenectady; brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Betty Schebesta; sister, Linda Schebesta; nephew, Jon Schebesta; uncle, Lloyd Butler and wife, Sandy, all of Margaretville; special friend, Jacqueline Keller and Chica of Denver; as well as several cousins and close friends.
Following cremation, a graveside service will be held Thursday, April 25, 2002, at 3 p.m. at the Andes Cemetery on Tremperskill Road. Family and friends will gather at the Margaretville Fire Hall following the service.
Donations in the memory of Roger J. Schebesta may be made to the Margaretville Fire Department and the Grand Gorge Fire and Rescue Squad.
