Randall J. Siudy
OTEGO — Randall James Siudy, 51, of Otego, died unexpectedly Saturday, April 27, 2002, after a brief illness.
He is survived by his son, Matthew Siudy of Oneonta; his former wife, Anna Siudy of Oneonta; his aunts, Kay Anthony, Lil Turski and Angie Glinski, all of the Schenectady area, Hattie DeLisa of Myrtle Beach; and by the many friends who loved him.
Randy, born March 4, 1951, in Schenectady, was the only child of Thaddeus and Roberta Siudy.
He was a graduate of Mohaneson High School, Rotterdam, and of Syracuse University.
Randy worked for many years with the mentally handicapped and most recently was employed as a nurse.
He also devoted many private hours to his work in photography.
Randy was a devoted and loving father, compassionate and caring, both in his work and in his life.
Randy is greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
A private graveside service will be held by the family at St. Adalbert's Cemetery in Schenectady, during the early part of next week.
Karl R. Schwed Sr.
OTEGO — Graveside committal services for Karl R. Schwed Sr., who died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the Oneonta Plains Cemetery in Oneonta.

HARTWICK — Committal and burial services for Clyde (Chub) McLean, who died Jan. 21, 2002, will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the Hartwick Cemetery.

William J. Bubencik
SCHUYLER LAKE — William J. Bubencik, 72, of East Lake Road, Schuyler Lake, died Wednesday evening, May 1, 2002, at his home.
Bill was born on Aug. 15, 1929, at the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, a son of John W. and Anastasia (Domion) Bubencik.
He married Dorothy Hayes on June 23, 1956.
A lifelong resident of Schuyler Lake, Bill was employed for 23 years by the I.L. Richer Co. in Richfield Springs.
Bill is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dorothy, of Schuyler Lake; one daughter, Betty Bubencik and her husband, Bill Kelly, of Schuyler Lake; two sons, John W. Bubencik and his fiancee, Regina Marie Zamblauskas, of Wolcott, Conn., and Byron Bubencik of Schuyler Lake; one sister, Rose O'Brien and her husband, Don, of Norwich; and two nephews, Kerry and Joel Bubencik.
He was predeceased by one brother, Leo Alexander Bubencik, who died in 2001.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, May 4, 2002, at the Connell, Dow & Deysenroth Funeral Home in Cooperstown, with the Rev. John R. Roos, pastor emeritus of St. Mary's "Our Lady of the Lake" Catholic Church in Cooperstown, officiating.
The committal service and burial will follow in the Bubencik family plot in the Schuyler Lake Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home this evening, Friday, May 3, 2002, from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday afternoon, May 4, 2002, from 2 p.m. until service time, when Bill's family will be in attendance.

Ida F. Schlisman
SIDNEY — Ida Fancher Mann Schlisman, 80, of Cartwright Avenue, Sidney, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2002, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City.
She was born Dec. 7, 1921, in Bovina Center, the daughter of the late Ward and Nellie Miller Fancher.
Ida graduated from Andes High School and moved to Sidney in 1941.
She married Fred Mann in July 1945, and later married Chester Schlisman in May 1967. She was predeceased by Chester in December 1994, and Fred in September 1999.
Ida retired from the Bendix Corp. in 1983, after 28 years with the company.
She was an active member of the Sidney United Methodist Church, the Hospital Guild, Sidney Elks Auxiliary, American Legion Post 183 Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary.
She will be surely missed by family and friends.
She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Linda Mann of Cedar Key, Fla., William Mann of Sidney, Peter and June Mann of Sidney and Paul and Peri Mann of Gilbertsville; grandchildren, Erin, Robert II and Leigh Ann Mann of Cedar Key, Fla., and Crystal Tuttle and Rusty Knowles of Sidney; and her brother, Harry Fancher of Unadilla.
Ida was also predeceased by her younger brother, Ward Fancher.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2002, from the C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, at 21 Main St. in Sidney, with the Rev. David Masland, pastor of the Sidney United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Prospect Hill Cemetery in Sidney.
Friends are invited to call Sunday at the funeral chapel with her family in attendance from 7 to 9 p.m.
Myron C. Kingsbury
WALTON — Myron C. Kingsbury, a lifelong Walton resident, died at Albany Medical Center on Wednesday, May 1, 2002. He was 67.
He was born in Walton on Oct. 22, 1934, to Warner and Pauline North Kingsbury.
Myron was married to N. Donna Gray in Walton on Aug. 14, 1954.
He was a 25-year construction worker and really enjoyed horses and watching Western movies.
Myron Kingsbury is survived by his wife, N. Donna, at home in Walton; three daughters, Melodi Kingsbury of Davenport, Victoria Kingsbury of Stamford, and Karen and Mark Decker of Franklin; two sons, Ricky and David Kingsbury, both of Walton; brothers, Thomas and Robert Kingsbury of Walton and Douglas Kingsbury of Middletown; sisters, Alberta Anderson and Gloria Tait of Delhi, Linda Pipa of Arizona and Thelma Scherer of Bloomville; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lyon Bros.-Way Inc. Funeral Home, at the corner of North and Delaware streets in Walton, where friends may call Monday, May 6, 2002, from 1 to 2 p.m. The funeral service will follow immediately at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Paul Cronin officiating, and burial in the Walton Cemetery.

Joseph V. Goff
TACOMA, Wash. — Joseph V. Goff, age 50, passed away March 30, 2002, at his home in Tacoma, Wash., after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was predeceased by his father, Robert Goff, in 1996.
Joseph was an employee of Baden Sports in Tacoma, Wash., before his illness.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of American Motor Club Northwest and Twin Harbors American Motor Club.
He is survived by his fiancee, Diane King of Tacoma, Wash.; and her son, Christopher King of Gig Harbor, Wash.; children, Eric and Darcy of the Corning, N.Y., area, and Janthie, Lorraine and Lisa of Olympia, Wash.; and six grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Beverly Goff of Afton, N.Y.; two sisters, Janthie and Frank Robertson of Afton and Kristine and Henry Mott of Masonville; two brothers, Mark and Judy Goff of Oneonta and Mitch and Frances Goff of Masonville; two nephews and four nieces.
After cremation, a memorial service was held April 10, 2002, in Federal Way, Wash.
Joseph's remains will be buried at a graveside memorial service at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 2002, at Glenwood Cemetery in Afton, N.Y., with the Rev. Wayne Burnett officiating.
Harriet S. Westfall
SCHOHARIE — Mrs. Harriet S. Westfall, 83, of Grand Street, Schoharie, died Thursday, May 2, 2002, at her daughter's home in Peru, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Westfall was born Feb. 18, 1919, in Schoharie, the daughter of Harry and Genevieve Sholtes.
She had lived her entire life between three homes on Grand Street, Schoharie.
Harriet was a 1938 graduate of Schoharie High School and later graduated from the former Oneonta Normal School, (now, State University College at Oneonta). She later received her bachelor's degree from State University at Albany in elementary education.
She retired in 1973 after 18 years of teaching the third grade at Duanesburg schools. Previously, she taught the third grade in Middleburgh Schools.
Harriet was a member of the Schoharie United Presbyterian Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution in Schoharie. She was a member of the former Schoharie Order of the Eastern Star where she once served as Matron. She was a member and former treasurer of the Schoharie Garden Club and was a volunteer at the Schoharie Library. Mrs. Westfall was also a member of the Schoharie and New York State Retired Teachers' Associations.
She was married to Kenneth E. Westfall Sr., on April 25, 1945, and until his death, Nov. 28, 1980.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth W. (Lee) Schaeffer of Otego, Mary W. (Thomas) Friers of Melbourne, Fla., and Carol W. (Charles) Eaton of Peru; four grandchildren, Nancy Ann Schaeffer, Kimberly S. Garrett, Kevin Friers and Brian Friers; one niece, Barbara D. Haverly and her husband, Mitchell of West Berne; two grandnephews, Andrew and David Haverly.
Harriet was predeceased by a son, Kenneth E. Westfall Jr., in 1969; one brother, Charles A. Sholtes in 1988; and one sister, Hilda S. Dutton in 1966.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2002, at the Langan Funeral Home, 227 Main St., Schoharie. Burial will follow in the Old Stone Fort Cemetery, Schoharie. The Rev. Carol Coltrain, pastor of the Huntersland Methodist Church, will officiate.
Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2002, at the Langan Funeral Home, 227 Main St., Schoharie.

Kenneth Thompson
SIDNEY — Kenneth W. Thompson, 85, of 9 Sharon St., Sidney, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2002, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton.
Mr. Thompson was born June 19, 1916, in Schuyler Lake, the son of the late James H. and Eva L. Bunn Thompson.
On March 30, 1944, he married Lois Kane in Ilion.
He was a retired supervisor for New York State Electric & Gas Corp. Ken retired in 1979.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II with the George Patton's Third Army.
Ken was a devoted family man. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and all sports.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lois K. Thompson, Sidney; three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Wendy Thompson, Livonia, Kenneth and Susan Thompson, Freehold, and Philip and Norlene Thompson, Endicott; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A sister, Marjorie Wally; and two brothers, Albert and Ernest Thompson predeceased Kenneth.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2002, from the Sacred Heart Church, Sidney, with the Rev. Fr. Gordon Polenz, pastor, officiating. Burial will in the Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer.
Friends are invited to call Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the C.H. Landers Chapel, 21 Main St., Sidney.
