Georgianna E. 'Chick' Constantino
WHITEHALL - Georgianna E. "Chick" Costantino, 84, of Whitehall, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, at Indian River Nursing Home.

She was born on July 31,1924, in Whitehall. She was the daughter of George "Del" Herron and Lillian (Collins) Herron.

Mrs. Costantino graduated from Whitehall High School in 1942 and from Albany Business College in 1943.

Marie B. Massagli
QUEENSBURY - Marie B. Massagli, 88, a former resident of Queensbury, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, at The Pines in Glens Falls.

Born on May 30, 1920, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Rose Biringer.

Marie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Alfred J. Doyle
LAKE GEORGE - Alfred J. Doyle, 83, of Lake George, passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009, at Glens Falls Hospital.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, at St. Mary's Church, Warren Street, Glens Falls. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, at the Singleton-Healy Funeral Home, 407 Bay Road, Queensbury.

Harold G. Nelson
LAKE GEORGE - Harold G. Nelson, 93, of Mohican Street, passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, at Glens Falls Hospital following a long illness.

Born Jan. 19, 1916, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Gustave and Jennie (Bachman) Nelson.

Harold married Marie Waress on July 11, 1939, in St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church in Cleveland.

Glenora 'Babe' Forcucci
GRANVILLE - Glenora "Babe" Forcucci passed away at her daughter's home in Saratoga on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009. Arrangements are pending at Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville, N.Y.

Robert Bob Cote
GLEN LAKE - Robert "Bob" Cote passed into eternal life on Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, after a brief stay at St. Peter's Hospital.

He was born March 17, 1935, to Robert A. and Aurore Cote in Manchester, N.H.

Bob resided and was educated there until his family moved to Albany in 1946. In 1953, he graduated from Cathedral Academy where he was a member of the first Team All-Albany Football Squad, which led to his April 4, 1997, induction into the Bishop Maginn High School Alumni Association Hall of Fame.

Mrs. Linda D. Robinson
PLATTSBURGH - Mrs. Linda D. Robinson, 65, formerly of Seneca Drive, Plattsburgh, N.Y., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, at the Clinton County Nursing Home after battling serious afflictions for many years with unfailing courage, optimism and gratitude for the life she had been granted.

She was born in Pawling, N.Y., on Sept. 12, 1943, the daughter of Willard Duane and Mildred (Maranville) Durham.

The family moved to the Glens Falls area soon thereafter. Linda had attended Queensbury and Saratoga schools and was a 1963 graduate of the Albany Training School for Practical Nurses. She served her patients with dedication at several hospitals and nursing homes in the capital region until moving to Plattsburgh with her husband and children in 1973.

Aviana M. Goddard
HUDSON FALLS - Aviana M. Goddard, 22, of West Street, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, at her home.

Born on Jan. 1, 1987, she was the daughter of Anderson Goddard Sr. of the Bronx and the late Lorraine (Harris) Goddard.

Aviana attended Glens Falls schools and hoped to some day go to Adirondack Community College.

Earl F. Burdick
STONY CREEK - Earl F. Burdick, age 92, of Warrensburg Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Brenda Burdick.

Born on Aug. 13, 1916, in Stony Creek, he was the son of Elmer and Ella (Grimes) Burdick.

He was a graduate of Corinth High School.

Burleigh E. Douglass
WOODSTOCK, Ga. - Burleigh E. Douglass passed away at the age of 84 on Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, in Woodstock, Ga.

He was the son of the late Burleigh J. and Lois Clark Douglass. He was born on Oct 26, 1924, in Whitehall, N.Y.

He lived his childhood in Whitehall and joined the U.S. Army in 1944. He served in central Europe during World War II.

Thomas L. Stark
HUDSON FALLS - Thomas L. Stark, 81, of Geer Road, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at his home after a long illness.

Born on July 31, 1927, in Canandaigua, he was the son of the late Clifford and Gladys (Holmes) Stark.

Tom served in the United States Coast Guard for two years. Then, he joined the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 21 years as a staff sergeant.

Thomas F. Healey
MINERVA - Thomas F. Healey, 90, passed away Feb. 24, 2009, at his home in Minerva.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Olmstedville.

Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, South Glens Falls.

Philip T. Seney
QUEENSBURY - Philip T. Seney, 78, of Queensbury passed away Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, at The Landing.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Singleton-Healy Funeral Home, 407 Bay Road, Queensbury.

Antonio Tony Petruzzo
QUEENSBURY - Antonio "Tony" Petruzzo, 74, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, with his loving family by his side.

He was born on Sept. 25, 1934, in Gesuldo, Italy, the son of the late Raffeale and Clementina (Santa Maria) Petruzzo.

Antonio Petruzzo came to the United States in 1955. In 1972, he founded Petruzzo Nursery in Pomona, N.Y. He later founded Petruzzo Products in Corinth, N.Y. and was the owner of Rainbow View Family Campground in Lake George.

Elise J. Plummer Minkler
GALWAY - Elise J. (Plummer) Minkler, 66, of Galway, passed away Thursday, Feb. 26 at her home.

Born in Corinth, Jan. 31, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Elsie Plummer Sr.

She graduated from Hadley-Luzerne High School in 1961 and maintained a close relationship with many of her classmates. She attended Mildred Elly Secretarial in Albany following High School and was employed by the State of New York for a short time before leaving to raise her family.

Ruth Louise Bacon
LAKE GEORGE - Ruth Louise Bacon, 92, of Canada Street, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at the Glens Falls Hospital. She had been a resident of Fort Hudson Nursing Facility, Fort Edward and, prior to that, The Landing of Queensbury for many years.

Born on Jan. 25, 1917, in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Louise (Launcher) Bacon.

Ruth graduated from Trenton Teachers College in Trenton, N.J., Class of 1937. She taught school for over 44 years at Roosevelt School in River Edge, N.J., among others in Bergen County, N.J., retiring in 1982.

James Lyle Bruce
WARRENSBURG - James Lyle Bruce, 82, of River Street, passed away Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, at the Glens Falls Hospital following a short illness with his loving family at his side.

Born April 23, 1926, in Warrensburg, he was the youngest of the seven children of the late George and Augusta (Fourier) Bruce.

He married Faith Ball on Nov. 27, 1957. The couple have resided in Warrensburg for over 45 years.

Chester O. Beers
SCHROON LAKE - Chester O. Beers, 90, passed away Sunday evening, March 1, 2009, at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Chet was born Dec. 31, 1918, in Union Course, Long Island N.Y., the son of the late Chester and Florence Webster Beers.

Chet resided in Schroon Lake for more than 40 years. He was a member of Local 106 Operating Engineers Albany, N.Y. Chet worked for many companies over the years, he worked on the Gilboa Dam, The Olympic Ski Jumps in Lake Placid, the Adirondack Northway and many other construction sites.

John Barnewall
WHITE CREEK - John Barnewall, 92, of Delevan Road, passed away at home on Monday, March 2, 2009, after a long illness.

Born Oct. 22, 1916, in Brooklyn, John was a graduate of Brooklyn Friends School and Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., Class of 1939. He played both baseball and football.

He was a devoted Brooklyn Dodgers fan, of which his father, George Aylmer Barnewall, was vice president of the team.

Irene G. Johnston
SOUTH GLENS FALLS - Irene G. Johnston, 91, a resident of South Glens Falls, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2009, at Glens Falls Hospital.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 6, at St. Michael's Church, Saratoga Avenue, South Glens Falls.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Regan and Denny Funeral Home, 94 Saratoga Ave., South Glens Falls, N.Y.

Della L. Frost
GRANVILLE, N.Y. - Della Lois Frost passed away on Monday, March 2, 2009, at her daughter's home following a long illness.

Lois was the beloved wife of Harold Frost, to whom she had been married for 70 years.

Calling hours and a funeral will be held on Saturday, March 14, at the Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville.

Donna D. Davis
QUEENSBURY - Donna D. Davis, 48, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2009, at her home unexpectedly.

Born on Sept. 19, 1960, in Detroit, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Eddie J. and Florence (St. Arnauld) Davis Jr.

Donna enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was well known to be a helper, who enjoyed meeting new people. Donna loved the outdoors whether it was building forts, walking and or camping. She also liked doing puzzles, knitting and her arts and crafts.

Paul M. Brayton
SARATOGA SPRINGS - Paul M. Brayton of Hudson Avenue, Saratoga Springs, N.Y., died Monday, March 2, 2009, at the Saratoga Hospital. He was 94.

Born on March 18, 1914, in Glens Falls, N.Y., he was the son of Iselin Brayton and Helen Hart Brayton.

Mr. Brayton was a 1933 Graduate of Lake George High School and later served his country in the Untied Stated Army during World War II.
