She retired as owner of Barry's, Oswego. Following retirement, she was a sales associate at McDonald's Fashions and worked in the gift shop at St. Luke Residential Health Care Facility. She was a member of the Zonta Club of Oswego and was active with the Safe Haven Project. Her husband, Samuel, died in 1968. Richard J. Bordonaro Sr., 77, of Solvay, died Saturday. Born in Syracuse, he graduated from Solvay High School and attended Smith Technical School. He retired in 1985 after 37 years as an electrician with the 174th Air National Guard and also was director of maintenance for the Syracuse Housing Authority. He was a communicant of St. Cecilia's Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Geddes Veterans Association and VFW Post 2983.Survivors: His wife of 56 years, the former Ann N. Katherine "Kate" Connelly Collins, 87, of Geddes died Sunday. She was born in Syracuse, attended St. Vincent de Paul's School and graduated from Central High School. She retired in 1980 after 20 years with Marble Farms Dairy. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society and received the St. Patrick's Parish Festival Award. She was a volunteer for the March of Dimes.
