Helen M. Green Pickard, 78, of East Loop Road, Port Byron, died Thursday. Born in Auburn, she lived most of her life in Auburn before moving to Port Byron three years ago. She worked in the maintenance department at Rose Bakery, Auburn. Survivors: A son, Thomas O'Connell of Port Byron; two sisters, Dorothy Spencer of Auburn and Gloria Sperry of Lyons; a brother, Leroy Green of Auburn; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Helen Irene Gaworecki Praskey, 86, of 205 Herkimer St., Syracuse, died Friday. She was born in Syracuse. She worked at Syracuse University for 20 years in the registrar's office and the physics department. She was a communicant of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and a member of Sacred Heart Seniors. Her husband, John, died in 1987. Mae K. Tompkins

Mae Kosoff Tompkins, 87, of 210 W. Second St., Oswego, died Friday. A life resident of Oswego, she graduated from Oswego High School and Chaffee Business School. She retired as owner of Barry's, Oswego. Following retirement, she was a sales associate at McDonald's Fashions and worked in the gift shop at St. Luke Residential Health Care Facility. She was a member of the Zonta Club of Oswego and was active with the Safe Haven Project. Her husband, Samuel, died in 1968. Survivors: A son, Barry of Fulton; two sisters, Sadye Kost of Rochester and Sophie Schwartz of Fayetteville; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Sophie "Sally" Migdal Waskivich, 90, of Syracuse died Friday at Sunnyside Nursing Home, East Syracuse. She was born in New York City. She was a homemaker, a former member of the St. Louis Club and a member of the Polish National Alliance. Her husband, Walter, died in 1972. Survivor: A sister, Mary Ward of Liverpool. Richard J. Bordonaro Sr.

Richard J. Bordonaro Sr., 77, of Solvay, died Saturday. Born in Syracuse, he graduated from Solvay High School and attended Smith Technical School. He retired in 1985 after 37 years as an electrician with the 174th Air National Guard and also was director of maintenance for the Syracuse Housing Authority. He was a communicant of St. Cecilia's Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Geddes Veterans Association and VFW Post 2983.Survivors: His wife of 56 years, the former Ann N. Montreal; a daughter, Diane Bunis of Groton, Mass.; a son, Richard J. Jr. of West Monroe; a sister, Josephine Crisafi of Solvay; two brothers, Angelo of Onondaga and James of New Jersey; two grandchildren. Katherine "Kate" Connelly Collins, 87, of Geddes died Sunday. She was born in Syracuse, attended St. Vincent de Paul's School and graduated from Central High School. She retired in 1980 after 20 years with Marble Farms Dairy. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society and received the St. Patrick's Parish Festival Award. She was a volunteer for the March of Dimes. Her husband, William, died in 1988.Survivors: Nine daughters, Mary Worden of Cortland, Kathy Collins, Carol Solan, Patricia Russell, Nancy Gaughan and Elizabeth Collins, all of Syracuse, Eileen Sganga of Lycoming, Margaret Comins of Camden and Sister Anna Mae Collins of New Hartford; six sons, William of Canton, John of New Canaan, Conn., James, Michael and Richard, all of Syracuse, and Thomas of Ellsworth, Maine; 34 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.
