Paul E. Murray, 55, of 6811 Quarry Road, Chittenango, died Wednesday. Born in Syracuse, he lived in Chittenango most of his life. He graduated from Chittenango High School and State University College at Brockport. He retired in 2001 as a health and life concepts teacher at Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School after 29 years and had coached football and track at the school. He was a founding member of the oldies band, Cornerstone, and a member for 28 years. He was a member of New York State Retired Teachers Association and Oneida Gun Club.Survivors: His wife of 30 years, the former Suzanne Rogala; a daughter, Stephanie Murray of Chittenango; a son, Jeffrey of Raleigh, N.C.; a sister, Cindie Murray-Morgan of Syracuse; a brother, Peter of Chittenango. Services: 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Crossroads Community Church. Burial, Oakwood Cemetery, Chittenango. Calling hours, 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at G.F. Zimmer Funeral Home, 702 Legion Drive, Chittenango. John A. Quinn Sr., 71, of Denesha Place, Fulton, died Wednesday. He was born in Fulton. He retired in 1999 as a video engineer at WIXT-TV in Syracuse. He was a member of Ancient Order of Hibernians, Fulton Polish Home, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 569 in Fulton and National Association of Broadcasting Engineers and Technicians. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.Survivors: His companion, Pat Shappee; a daughter, Susan M. Loika of  Washington; a son, John A. Jr. of Fulton; two sisters, Margaret Coyne and Kathleen Bush, both of Fulton; two brothers, Joseph of North Carolina and Bernard of Fulton; a grandchild. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday in Holy Family Church. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours, 4 to 7 p.m. today at Sugar Funeral Home, 224 W. Second St., Fulton.

Iris V. Trumble Southwell, 77, of 7269 Lake St., Pulaski, died Wednesday. Born in Redfield, she lived in Pulaski 40 years. She was a homemaker. Anthony J. Columbus, 85, of North Syracuse died Thursday. Born in New York City, he lived in Sterling 24 year. He graduated from GM Institute and attended Cornell and Syracuse universities. He was an engineer and worked 30 years at Sealright Packaging Co. He was a member of the American Society of Tool Engineers. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Cicero and a member of Knights of Columbus in Fulton. He was president of the Parent Teachers Association and was on the Hannibal school board for four years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. A son, Anthony, died in 1996.Survivors: His wife of 61 years, the former Amelia T. Stolar; a daughter, Marilyn Bognacki of Kirkville; two sons, Scott of North Syracuse and Thomas of Peoria, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Services: 9 a.m. Monday at Fergerson Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Burial, Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay. Calling hours, 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 215 S. His wife, the former Beverly Howell, died in 1996.Survivors: A daughter, Cynthia Peterson of Preble; a son, Donald of Webster; three grandchildren. A son, David, died in 1997, and another son, Robert, died in September.Survivors: Four daughters, Rosemary  White, Joan Dishaw and Cheryl Taylor, all of Syracuse, and Michelle Tillich of Tucson, Ariz.; five sons, Earl, James, Thomas and John, all of Syracuse, and Michael of North Syracuse; her mother, Mary Carey of Fine; five sisters, Mary L. MacCombie of Kirkville, Hazel Breyette of Copenhagen, Agnes Brown of Indiana, Barbara Van Atter of Chittenango and Carol Davis of Auburn; four brothers, James Finley of Edwards, Kenny Finley of Auburn, Edwin Finley of Michigan and Rick Finley of Minna; 37 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren. Retirement Club and Community Associated Clubs. He was an Army veteran of World War II.Survivors: His wife of 49 years, the former Elizabeth Buchanan; a daughter, Elizabeth Nuzzo of Middletown, Conn.; two sons, Douglas of Wilkes Barre, Pa., and Jeffrey B. of Geneva; seven grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Homer and South Cortland Grange and was a member and former secretary for New York State Grange. Her husband, W.
