Mr. Faoro attended school at the South Gilboa Rural School and the Stamford Central School. He was a member of the graduating Class of 1943.

He particularly loved his family, being with them at family gatherings, sharing with his grandchildren his many skills, telephoning his daughters and e-mailing them. He was always there for them, ready to help in anyway.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mabel (Totten) Faoro; his six daughters and their husbands, Victoria and Louis De Luca of Frankfurt, Ky., Linda and Joseph Rohacevich of Grand Gorge, Susan and Stanton Tepfer of Geneva, Gina and James Gratton of Plattsburgh, Jamie Kellerhouse of Grand Gorge and Deborah and Robert Rodrigues of Westford. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and his sister, Rina Faoro Jones.

He was predeceased by his two brothers, Livio and Benjamin Faoro.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002, at the Grand Gorge United Methodist Church, with the Rev. David Martin officiating.

Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Grand Gorge.

Those who wish to make donations to a scholarship fund to be established in his name may forward checks made payable to the Gino Faoro Scholarship Fund to Mabel Faoro at 38946 State Highway 23, Prattsville, NY 12468.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Hall Funeral Home, Stamford, under the direction of William A. Tari.
