He was president/owner-operator of Cliff Dweller's Lodge in Arizona.Survivors: His wife, the former Rita Kelly; a daughter, Mariah Dewitz of Page; a stepson, Antonio Lovato of Phoenix, Ariz.; a stepdaughter, Heather Williams of Denver,  Colo.; his parents, Charles and Vivian Dewitz of Phoenix, Ariz.; a brother, C. Douglas of Kanab, Utah; two grandchildren. Memorial services: Will be in Page. Mosdell Mortuary, Kanab, has arrangements.

He retired from Crouse-Hinds in Syracuse and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. His wife, Madeline, died in 2000.Survivors: A daughter, Sally M. Doty of Chittenango; two sisters, Sara Pratt of Cazenovia and Shirley Onyan of Erieville; a brother, Gerald Marris of Cazenovia; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter. George A. Roykouff, 75, of 1226 county Route 28, Pulaski, died Monday. Born in Elmhurst, Ill., he graduated from Ithaca High School. He worked for Syracuse Auto Parts for 34 years and owned the business from 1989 to 1992. He was a member, treasurer and past president of Pulaski Lions Club. He was a member of Pulaski American Legion Post 358, town of Richland Zoning Board and town of Richland Assessment and Grievance Board. He was a Navy veteran.Survivors: His wife of 52 years, the former Harriette Buck; two daughters, Cheryl Gonzalez of Marcellus and Karen Thomas of Canton, Mass.; a son, George E. of Fenton, Mich.; two brothers, Warren of Trumansburg and Eugene of Geneseo; four grandchildren; a great-grandson. Madelon M. Stanfield Barber, 75, of 8 Civill Ave., Ravena, died Sunday. Born in Cortland, she was a 1943 graduate of Cortland High School. She worked in food services at the State University College at Cortland for more than 10 years and also worked at Tompkins County Community College for several years. She was a member of the Cortland American Legion Auxiliary and attended Homer Congregational Church. She was a volunteer and helped administer the Office of the Aging. Her husband, Merle E., died in 1994. Survivors: A daughter, Helen Coye of Ravena; a son, Carl E. of Marathon; five grandchildren. Services: 4 p.m. today at Wright-Beard Funeral Home. Julius D. Claps, 82, of Syracuse died Monday at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, he moved to Syracuse more than 60 years ago. He attended Brooklyn schools and The Manhattan Aviation School in 1938. He retired in 1985 after 15 years as a sales manager at Gary's and previously was a sales manager at Learbury Clothing Co. for 30 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors: His wife of 62 years, the former Helen Proies; three sons, Julio of Camillus, Nicholas of Cicero and Vincent of Liverpool; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. He retired in 1986 after 36 years as regional vice president of Kemper Insurance Co. He was founding member and past trustee of St. Ann's Church. He was an Eucharist minister and lector at St. Ann's Church and Van Duyn Home & Hospital. He was former member and former president of Bellevue Country Club. He was a Marine veteran of World War II. Survivors: His wife of 51 years, the former Anne E. Burke; four daughters, Mary Ryan, Kathleen Barrett, Martha Clark and Anne M. Headd, all of Syracuse; four sons, Terrence, Matthew and Joseph, all of Syracuse, and Stephen of Placerville,  Calif.; 20 grandchildren. Services: 9:45 a.m. Thursday at Whelan Bros. He was past president of the New York State Association of Life Underwriters, past vice commander of the Plattsburgh American Legion Post, past president of the Adirondack Association of Life Underwriters and chairman of the American Cancer Society chapter in Plattsburgh. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Born in Fenner, she lived in Vienna many years before moving to Collegedale, Tenn., Douglasville, Ga., and to Mena, Ark., 20 years ago. She was a graduate of Canastota High School and Morrisville Teachers' Training School. She was a school teacher in the Stokes-Lee Center area and also worked as a nurse's aide in Collegedale, Tenn., and Douglasville, Ga. She and her first husband operated a dairy farm in Morrisville for several years. She was a member of the Audubon Society and the National Wildlife Federation. Her first husband, Clifford G. Swayze, died in 1945; her second husband, Orrie P. Flynt, died in 1975; a son, David A. Swayze, died in December. Survivors: Her husband of 23 years, Ralph K. Palmer; a daughter, Mary Ellen Payne of Nampa, Idaho; seven sons, Dr. Clifford A. Swayze of Austin,  Texas, Dr. Gerald A. Swayze of Mt. Vernon,  Texas, James W. Swayze of Kingman, Ariz., Daniel W.
