Survivors: A daughter, Rosaria Campolo of Syracuse; two sons, Antonino of Syracuse and Biagio of Clay; two sisters, Rosa Gervasio and Rosaria Vasta, both of Syracuse; a brother, Biagio LaRocca of Syracuse; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Services: 9:15 a.m. Monday at Pirro & Sons Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Pompei Church. Burial, Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum. Mary Ruth Swick Reohr, 90, of state Route 34B, Union Springs, died Thursday. Born in Hollis, she lived in Bellerose before moving to Union Springs in 1942. She was a homemaker. She was a former communicant of St. Isaac Jogues Church, Fleming, and its Altar & Rosary Society. Her husband, John H. Jr., died in December. Survivors: A daughter, Janet Reohr of Fayetteville; four sons, John H. III of Rose Valley, Pa., and Richard D., Robert W. and Kenneth A., all of Union Springs; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Church, Auburn. Thomas Arthur Benedict, 74, of Lamson Road, town of Lysander, died Thursday. Born in Syracuse, he attended Baldwinsville Academy. He retired in 1990 as a forklift operator after 28 years with P&C Warehouse. He also had worked for the Lysander and Onondaga County highway departments and New Process Gear. He was a Navy veteran.Survivors: His wife of 50 years, the former Anne J. Klock; a son, Thomas A. of Streator, Ill.; four grandchildren. Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home. Burial, private. Calling hours, 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 431 Main St., Phoenix.

Jeanne Van Vechten Bovenzi, 79, of Syracuse died Saturday. She was born in Warsaw, N.Y. She retired in 1985 as a supervisor in the Onondaga County cashiers office at the John H. Mulroy Civic Center, Syracuse, where she worked 12 years. She was a communicant of St. Peter's Church. She was a former president of the Syracuse Opera Guild, a producer for the S.T.A.G.E. Players and an actor in stage productions by the Landmark Theater's Senior Citizen Acting Troupe.Survivors: Her husband, Peter A.; a brother, Meryl Van Vechten of Michigan. Services: 10:45 am. Stephen Kent Fifield, 57, of 5008 October Drive, Onondaga Hill, died Wednesday. He was born in Syracuse. He graduated from Onondaga Valley Academy and attended Syracuse University. He retired in 2001 as director of information technology at Smith Corona, Cortland, where he worked 34 years. He was a former treasurer of Cub Scout Pack 36 and a basketball coach for the Valley Junior Athletic Association for seven years. He bowled in the Smith Corona Bowling League. He served in the Army with the rank of sergeant during the Vietnam War.Survivors: His wife of 32 years, the former Margaret Gwilliam; a daughter, Kelly A. Fifield of Onondaga Hill; a son, Michael S. of Horseheads; two sisters, Cynthia Fifield of LaCosta,  Texas, and Shirley Smith of Liverpool; two brothers, Jack of Syracuse and Robert of Onondaga Hill. He was a communicant of St. Ann's Church, Taunton, and a member of Bellevue Country Club. He was an Army veteran.Survivors: His wife of 42 years, the former Carol Czarny; two daughters, Lauren Kaduc of Rochester and Lynda Fox of Syracuse; a son, T. Her husband, Kenneth Sr., died in 1950; a son, Kenneth Jr., died in 1965.Survivors: Her daughter, Nancy Burleson of Albemarle, N.C.; a son, Richard, of Syracuse; three sisters, Elizabeth Vaughn of Fayetteville, N.C., Carol Bennick of East Syracuse and Barbara Richer of Liverpool; two brothers, Irving Caslar Jr. of Marcellus and David Caslar of Erieville; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. George "Bud" Kelly, 72, of Fourth Street, Liverpool, died Thursday. Born in Auburn, he previously lived in Morrisville. He graduated from Morrisville High School and the state Agriculture and Technology College at Morrisville. He owned a Shell service station in Morrisville and was director of transportation of Morrisville-Eaton Central Schools until his retirement. Following retirement, he owned Kelly's Antiques. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church and a former member of the Morrisville Fire Department. He was a Navy veteran.Survivors: His wife of 12 years, the former Carol North Lodor; four daughters, Carolyn Kelly Trick of Lowville, Cindy Hengst of Hamilton, Colleen Shoales of Andover and Gwen Cowie of Davidson, N.C.; three sons, Craig of Cazenovia, Sean of Whitefish, Mont., and Kyle of Bozeman, Mont.; a stepson, Eric Lodor of Loveland, Ohio; a sister, Gloria Ernst of Naples, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; one stepgrandchild. Howard S. Lawrence, 91, of Hendersonville, N.C., died Sept. 14. Born in Watertown, he lived in Syracuse 30 years before moving away in 1972. He graduated from Pulaski Academy and attended Syracuse University. He was a machinist at Carrier Corp. for 30 years until his retirement in 1972. He also worked for the Pulaski Democrat newspaper. He was a member of the Pulaski Baptist Church, the Eastwood Baptist Church and the Windbaggers Ham Radio Club. His wife of 66 years, the former Helen McChesney, died Oct. 29.Survivors: Four daughters, Barbara Chester of Hendersonville, Patricia Myrto of Horse Shoe, N.C., Margaret Miller of Warners and Linda Yonteff of Winchester, Va.; a sister, Bella Turgeon of Florida; 11 grandchildren; several great- and great-great-grandchildren. Doris S. Miller Marsella, 75, of Collamer died Thursday in a motor vehicle accident. She was a life resident of Collamer and a graduate of East Syracuse High School. She was a secretary for 10 years in the meat department at the P&C Warehouse before retiring in 1989. She was a member of the Collamer United Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3146 Auxiliary. Her husband, Emilio, died in 1999.Survivors: A daughter, Denise M. Hemingway of Mexico; two brothers, Lester Miller of Kirkville and Morris Miller of Naples, Fla.; two grandchildren. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Pompei Church, where he was an usher for 40 years and a member of the Holy Name Society. He was a member of Kouples Club, a dance club, and the Moose Club. He was an Army veteran of World War II.Survivors: His wife of 60 years, the former Carmella Vassenelli; a daughter, Angela Murphy of Syracuse; two grandchildren. Hugo De Nardin, 86, of Kirkville Road, DeWitt, died Friday. Born in Carrara, Italy, he lived in the Syracuse area for most of his life, the past 27 years in the East Syracuse area. He worked at the Marine Midland Bank computer center for 14 years before retiring in 1983. He worked for the geological division of the Gulf Oil Co. in Europe and Africa from 1959 to 1965. He was a senior executive at Terninoss Stainless Steel Co. in Italy from 1965 to 1969. He also worked in the advertising department of The Syracuse Newspapers from 1983 to 1990.Survivors: His wife of 33 years, Giovanna; a son, Ernesto of Amherst; two grandchildren.
