Faith M. Clark

SMYRNA — Mrs. Faith M. Clark, 64, of Main Street passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, at Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton.

Born in Earlville on June 29, 1938, she was a daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Baker Dungey.

A lifelong area resident, she was a graduate of Earlville High School.

On July 28, 1956, Faith was united in marriage to Archie B. Clark in Earlville.

She had worked in several area occupations, as well as being a devoted wife and mother.

Mrs. Clark was of the Episcopal faith. She loved playing bingo and selling Avon Products. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and going with her son and daughter-in-law to area dog shows.

Surviving are her husband, Archie; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Kevin and Nancy Clark of Edmeston: Keith and Monika Clark of Cecelia, Ky., and Christopher Clark of Smyrna; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Katrina Brown in 2001; two sisters, Jane Barker and Irene Boise; and two brothers, Frank and Donald Dungey.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 South Main St., Sherburne.

Friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday.

Interment will be in West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne.

Robert G. Keesler

WHITE PLAINS — Robert (Bob) Gordon Keesler, 58, of  White Plains died Nov. 28, 2002, in the Boston, Mass., area while visiting friends.

He was born March 5, 1944, in the Bronx to William H. and Blanche Rose (Liguori) Keesler.

The family lived in the Oneonta area and Bob graduated from Oneonta High School Class of 1962. While in high school he played defensive lineman on the football team. Bob received a bachelor of science degree in art education from the State University College at New Paltz and a MFA in art education from Columbia University.

He was a very highly regarded Elementary Art Instructor with the Valhalla UFSD from September 1972 until his retirement in June 2002. During his tenure, he positively impacted over 15,000 students in art instruction and appreciation.

Bob was a member of the Lincoln Center Repertoire Theater in 1969 and 1970, a member of the New York State Teachers Association, and a nationally recognized member of the American Diabetes Foundation, donating many paintings for their use on cards.

During his retirement, he had been doing voice overs for TV and radio commercials, used both locally and nationally.

Bob is survived by a brother, William H. Keesler and his wife, Natalie of Columbia, Tenn.; two nieces, Beth and Amy; and two nephews, Andrew and Timothy.

He was predeceased by his parents; and a sister, Mary Keesler.

Interment memorial service will be in the spring in Glenwood Cemetery, Oneonta, by Bookhout Funeral Home, Oneonta.

A scholarship fund has been established in memory of Bob to be awarded to a graduating senior majoring in art. Scholarship donations may be sent to: Bob Keesler Scholarship, Valhalla UFSD, 316 Columbus Ave., Valhalla, N.Y. 10595.

Barbara Neuenhoff

GILBERTSVILLE — Barbara Ann Neuenhoff of 1551 county Highway 3, South New Berlin, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at The Hospital in Sidney.

She was born on Aug. 8, 1936, in New York City, the daughter of Richard and Anna (Sciblo) Lemakos. Most of her early life was spent in the New York City area.

On Jan. 17, 1959, she married Thomas R. Neuenhoff. They shared 43 years of married life.

Survivors include her husband; her sons, Thomas Jr. of Sommerset, N.J. and Wayne of Syracuse; her brother, James Poole of South New Berlin; and her grandchildren, Barbara Ann Nicholas, Sabrina and Nathaniel Neuenhoff of Syracuse and Allison Neuenhoff of Sommerset, N.J.

Mrs. Neuenhoff was predeceased by her daughter, Barbara Ann.

A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Butternut Valley Cemetery in Copes Corners.

Contributions in Mrs. Neuenhoff's memory may be made to Catskill Area Hospice Inc., 542 Main St., Oneonta, N.Y., 13820. Envelopes are available at the Joyce Funeral Home, Inc.

Arrangements are by the Joyce Funeral Home Inc., of Unadilla.

Leonard C. Stevens

ANDES — Leonard C. Stevens of Andes, a lifelong Delaware county resident, passed away on Nov. 30, 2002, at Countryside Care Center in Margaretville. He was 80.

Mr. Stevens worked as a dairy farmer and blue stonecutter, which was his passion, in Delaware County for many years, and is remembered as being a very hard worker.

He was born on Jan. 1, 1922, in Bloomville, to James and Blanche Mae Cole Stevens.

Mr. Stevens is survived by his daughters, Florence "Flossie" Brundage, Harriett Gardner and Rosemary Gladding; his sons, James L., Timothy L., and Harvey I. Stevens. His sisters, Eunice, Janet Misner and Charlotte Kelder also survive him.

Family members who died earlier include his wife, Harriett; his brothers, Floyd and Vincent; and his sisters, Corine  Jones and Lillian Merchant.

Mr. Stevens family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, from Lyon Bros.-Way Funeral Home, corner of North and Delaware streets, Walton, with service following at 2 p.m.

Donald D. Westcott

LAURENS — Donald D. Westcott, 81, formerly of Franklin, passed on peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, at his new home in Laurens.

He was born March 14, 1921, the third son of Joseph and Emma (Drake) Westcott of Franklin.

He married Joanne Whitney on Dec. 31, 1964. Don was the loving husband of Joanne, and the loving father of Kathi, who resides in Silver Springs, Md.

He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Susan in 1968; and his son, Joseph D. in 1988.

He will be fondly remembered by his extended family, friends, and to those he considered to be family members.

He was a lifelong resident of Franklin. During his life time he was the proprietor of the North Franklin Service Station, an employee of the Franklin Central School, and the Franklin Post Office.

Don was a member of the Christian Science Mother Church in Boston, Mass., and its branch church of Oneonta.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, in the Kenneth L. Bennett Funeral Home, Franklin, with Sandra McKane, First Reader of the Christian Science Church of Oneonta, officiating.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, Don and his family request that donations in his memory be made to one of the following charitable organizations: Franklin Volunteer Fire Department, Franklin Emergency Squad, Catskill Area Hospice, 542 Main St., Oneonta or the Catskill Rural Aids Services, 66 Chestnut St., Oneonta.

Arrangements are by the Kenneth L. Bennett Funeral Home, Franklin.

Robert E. Jeter

SOUTH NEW BERLIN — Robert E. Jeter, 57 years, of South New Berlin, passed away Dec. 2, 2002, in Norwich.

He was born on Dec. 9, 1944, in Manitowac, Wis., the son of L. Robert and Esther C. (Marriott) Jeter.

He married Donna Brown in 1966, who survives.

He spent his childhood in Illinois and Vermont. He was a dairy farmer.

He is survived by his mother, Esther Jeter, Plymouth, Conn.; his children, Jeffrey Jeter, Norwich, Todd Jeter, Stamford and Jennifer Tompkins, South New Berlin; grandchildren, Jolene, James, Jessica, Jamie and Jacob; two brothers, William R. Jeter, Chittenango and Thomas Jeter, St. Augustine, Fla.; one sister, Suzanne Hanson, Connecticut; seven nieces and three nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, at the Dakin Funeral Home, New Berlin, with the Rev. Beverly Butler of the First United Methodist Church, New Berlin, officiating.

Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at the Dakin Funeral Home, New Berlin.

Interment in Fairview Cemetery, New Berlin.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the South New Berlin Emergency Squad.

Elizabeth F. Collins

ROXBURY — Elizabeth Florence Collins, 78, of Roxbury, passed away Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at the Margaretville Memorial Hospital in Margaretville.

She was born on July 16, 1924, the daughter of John and Margret (O'Connell) Collins, in Queens.

She never married. Before moving to Roxbury, Elizabeth lived in Afton.

She is survived by her friends at the Kirkside Adult Home, Roxbury.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, at the Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury, with the Rev. Richard Dykstra, officiating.

Calling hour is one hour prior to the service Thursday morning.

Burial will be in Roxbury Cemetery, Roxbury.

Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury.

Richard H. Geisler

MANLIUS — Richard H. Geisler Jr., 48, of 212 Pleasant St., Manlius, passed away Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, after being struck by an automobile.

He was born in Syracuse. He was employed with Budweiser Brewing Co. in both Syracuse and later in St. Louis, Mo., returning to Syracuse in 2001.

He is survived by a son, Richard Geisler; a daughter, Amanda Geisler, both of Oneonta; his parents, Richard H. and Sybill "Bunny" Geisler Sr., both of Manlius; a sister, Tanya Geisler of Philadelphia: three brothers, Edward of Rochester, Robert of Carrollton, Ga., and John of Syracuse.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday in Immaculate Conception Church, Fayetteville.

Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Burns Garfield Funeral Home Syracuse, 3175 E. Genesee St., Syracuse.

Burial in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.

Wanda L. Lado

VERO BEACH, Fla. — Wanda L. Lado, 87, of Vero Beach, Fla., and formerly of Rome, N.Y., died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, in Indian River Memorial Hospital, Vero Beach, after a brief illness.

Mrs. Lado was born Aug. 8, 1915, in Utica, N.Y., a daughter of Joseph and Anna Pohoska Linke.

She was a graduate of Utica Free Academy.

On Aug. 8, 1936, she married Anthony Lado in Utica. He died Nov. 7, 1975.

Wanda worked for Pettibone Eastern Sales for several years.

She was a charter member of the Polish-American Social Class of Vero Beach, Fla. While in Rome she was a member of Transfiguration Church.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. William and Bonnie Lado, Oneonta, N.Y., and Dr. Robert and Sandra Lado, Kansas; one brother, Edward Linke, Whitesboro, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Derek, Kristin, Pamela and Tracy; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Wanda Lado, who died on Oct. 10, 1966.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., Rome and 9:30 a.m. at Transfiguration Church.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday.

Interment will be in the Rome Cemetery.

Contributions in Wanda's memory may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Upstate NY/ Vermont Chapter, 6 Automation Lane, Albany, N.Y. 12205.

Gladys M. Budine

WALTON — Gladys M. Budine, 80, of Country Meadow Park, Walton, passed away on Dec. 3, 2002, at the home of her son, with her loving family by her side.

She was born on June 21, 1922, in Otego, the daughter of Charles and Charlotte Northrup LeRoy.

Gladys married Percy H. Budine on Jan. 24, 1939. She was a loving wife for 61 years and the loving mother of her children, Dennis and his wife, Bonnie Lee Budine of Unadilla, James and his wife, Kathy Budine of Walton, Dixie and Kenneth MacGibbon of Slatesville, N.C., and Edward and his wife, Debra L. Budine of Walton. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and three sisters-in-law.

She was predeceased by her husband Percy; daughter, Lana Mae; granddaughter, Renee Lynn; and brother, Peter.

Gladys was a homemaker on the family farm. Then she went to work at the Walton Central School cafeteria for a number of years.

She was a lifelong Walton resident and a charter member of the Walton Fire Department Auxiliary and will be fondly remembered by family, friends, her cats and fish, as a loving person who lived life to the fullest.

A private family memorial service will be held with burial at Ouleout Valley Cemetery in Franklin.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gladys M. Budine to the Catskill Area Hospice, 542 Main St., Oneonta, NY 13820 or Walton Fire Department Auxiliary, 61 West St., Walton, NY 13856 would be appreciated.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lyon Bros.-Way, Inc. Funeral Home, Walton.

Georgia Russell

SCHENEVUS — Georgia R.R. Russell, 97, passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, at the Ross Home in Maryland.

She was born April 21, 1905, in the town of Sidney, the daughter of George L. and Mary (Merwin) Ruling.

She married Lawrence H. Russell in Delhi on June 26, 1937. They were happily married for nearly 65 years. He predeceased her on Jan. 8, 2002.

Georgia was a beautician, and operated Georgia's Beaute Studio in Delhi until her first child was born. She continued hairdressing at her home in Bloomville for many years.

She served as Town Clerk for the Town of Kortright for several years.

She and Larry moved to Schenevus in 1960, where she was very active in the United Methodist Church.

She loved arts and crafts, and spent countless hours making gifts for her family and friends.

Georgia will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by two sons, Howard and Joan Russell and Wayne and Lela Russell of West Oneonta; her very special niece, Marian Poole of Guilford; one sister, Marion Miller of Denton, N.C.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by four brothers; seven sisters; and her grandson, Timothy Russell of Newman, Ga.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday from the Heller Funeral Home, Schenevus, with the Rev. Thomas Snyder, pastor of the Schenevus United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be held in Schenevus Cemetery, at a later date.

There will be no calling hours.

The family request contributions to be made to the Schenevus-Maryland Emergency Squad, 105 county Highway 34, Schenevus, NY 12155.

Arrangements are by the Heller Funeral Home, 25 Arch St., Schenevus.
