She retired in 1998 as a bus driver for the Syracuse City School District after 25 years. She was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church and its Goodwill Circle. She was a member of Monday Night Ladies Bowling League at Pastime Athletic Club and was past president of Franklin School Mother's Club. She was a member of Mattydale Veterans of Foreign Wars Senior Ladies.Survivors: Her husband of 18 years, Arthur; a daughter, Bonnie Pires of Woburn, Mass.; two sons, Robert Schad of Mattydale and William Schad of Lyncourt; two stepdaughters, Laurie Dobrzynski of Fayetteville and Patricia Ewaniszyk of Syracuse; a stepson, Michael Whitehead of Syracuse; a sister, Nancy DeGraw of Parish; a brother, Edmund Deans of Central Square; eight grandchildren. Richard E. Wright, 65, of 7856 state Route 3, Pulaski, died Tuesday. Born in Elmira, he attended Gillette, Pa., schools and lived in Central Square and Clay before moving to Pulaski in 1987. He worked for 38 years for the General Electric Co., Martin Marietta Corp. and Lockheed Martin Corp. in Salina and retired in 1995. He also worked for Endicott  Johnson Shoe Co. in  Johnson City for several years.Survivors: His wife of 42 years, the former Georgiana Lewis; a daughter, Laura A. Brown of Kirkville; two sons, Charles A. Koflan of Pennellville and Scott E. Wright of North Syracuse; three sisters, Ethel Pierce, Frances Schaefer and Jane Alexander, all of  Pennsylvania; three brothers, Peter and Donald, both of  Pennsylvania, and Albert of Elmira; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Evelyn L. Hartranft Austic, 92, of 503 Fay St., Fulton, died Thursday. She was born in Romulus. She worked at Columbia Mills in Minetto for 17 years. She was a member of State Street United Methodist Church where she served on the evangelism committee and the kitchen committee. She was a Sunday school teacher for 30 years. Her husband, Raymond T., died in 1977. Survivors: A sister, Helen Forbes of Fulton; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday in State Street United Methodist Church. Robert L. Baggett, 58, of 248 Garfield Ave., Syracuse, died Tuesday. Born in Syracuse, he graduated from Vocational High School. He retired from Eastern Airlines after 15 years and worked with Trailways Coach Lines as a bus driver for 13 years. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and served on its usher board. He was a member of Bel-Larks and the Eternals singing group. He was a Navy veteran. Survivors: Four daughters, Andrea McGee, Anthea Baggett, Makiesha  Woods and Monique Woods, all of Syracuse; his mother, Juanita Baggett of Syracuse; two sisters, Marjorie Wooten of Syracuse and Patricia Desrosiers of Oneonta; a brother, John H. of Minoa; four grandchildren. Francis J. "Frank" Burridge, 75, of North Syracuse died Saturday. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, he lived in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, before moving to the Syracuse area in 1950. He was a self-employed carpenter and became an apprentice, joiner and cabinet maker in the shipyards of Scotland. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in North Syracuse and was a member of the Carpenters Local 747. Survivors: Two sisters, Doreen G. Cane of Ottawa and Lily Matheson of Glasgow. Services and burial: Will be in Scotland. Fergerson Funeral Home, North Syracuse, has local arrangements.

Henry P. Drexler

Henry P. "Hank" Drexler, 79, of Poolville Road, Hubbardsville, died Tuesday. Born in Cortland, he graduated from Homer Academy and attended Cornell University. He owned and operated Sandy Acres dairy farm and campground in Smyrna and retired as owner and auctioneer with Drexler's Auction House in Smyrna. He was a member of Church of the Epiphany in Sherburne and was inducted into the Norwich Bowlers Hall of Fame in 1995. He was a member of Cornell Cooperative Extention of Chenango Conty for more than 40 years and served on the board of directors. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II and served as a first lieutenant. Survivors: His wife of 55 years, the former Leah Smith; a daughter, Marleah MacDougal of The Woodlands,  Texas; two sons, Edwin S. of Fabius and Henry J. of Norwich; six grandchildren. Services: 4 p.m. Saturday in Church of the Epiphany. Burial, West Hill Cemetery. Calling hours, 5 to 8 p.m. today at Burgess Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne. He retired in 1982 after 28 years as a tool and die technician for AutoLite and PrestoLite Corp. He was a member of American Legion Pulaski Post 1640 and Adelphi Club. He was a communicant of Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. Survivors: His wife of 58 years, the former Rose Wasnick; three daughters, Roberta Hoover and Mary Beth Strasburger, both of Greensboro, N.C., and Dorothy Lawson of Pittsford; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Services: 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Giminski-Wysocki Funeral Home and 9 a.m. in Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Burial, Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. They retired in 1969 as owners of a hardware store in Minoa after nine years. She was a member of Newport Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary Post 1524. Survivors: Her husband of 61 years, Alvin; two sons, Carl and Charles, both of Liverpool; a sister, Marjorie Hill of Newport; two grandchildren. He retired in 1986 as a truck driver for the Syracuse Department of Public Works after 43 years and had also worked for Central New York Railroad for 15 years. He was a former amateur boxer and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was an Army Air Forces veteran.Survivors: His wife of 59 years, the former Gloria C. Pertilla; three daughters, Donna L. Stephens, Sheila M. Braithwaite and Terri M. Shuler, all of Syracuse; three sons, Kirk N. Braithwaite of Massillon, Ohio, Harold F. Braithwaite of Canton, Ohio, and Troy C. Franklin of Syracuse; four sisters, Cornetta Cox of Chicago, Iona Keenan of Brooklyn, Charolette E.
