She retired in 1966 after several years as a waitress at Bersani's Restaurant and the Hotel Syracuse. She was a Camp Fire Girls leader at Camp Talooli in Pennellville. Her husband, Joseph R., died in 1991.Survivors: A daughter, Annette Swidowski of Liverpool; a son, Raymond of Pennellville; three grandchildren. Paul Wade, 94, of 115 Mary St., Auburn, died Saturday at Mercy Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Auburn and retired as a millwright at Alco in Auburn. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II and received a Purple Heart. His wife, the former Anna Kinney, died in 1995.Survivors: A son, James P. of Skaneateles; three grandchildren; a great-grandson.Services: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Alphonsus Church. Kenneth C. Glazier

Kenneth C. Glazier, 69, of West Monroe died Thursday. He was born in Barnes Corners. He lived in Brewerton 20 years before moving to West Monroe in 1976. He was a 1950 graduate of Copenhagen High School. He retired in 1986 after 25 years as a firefighter for Syracuse Fire Department. Currently, he was deputy fire coordinator for Oswego County. He was a charter member and first chief of the West Monroe Volunteer Fire Department, a past officer of Oswego County and Onondaga County Fire Chiefs Association. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. His first wife, Iva Lee, died in 1982. Survivors: His wife of two years, the former Doris Matteson; three daughters, Barbara Sloan of Travelers Rest, S.C., Joanne Coogan of Columbia, Tenn., and Donna Cogan of Syracuse; a stepdaughter, Robin Woodford of Sanford, N.C.; a son, Michael of Oneida Castle; three sisters, June Geis of Ann Arbor, Mich., Nadine Monroe of Minoa and Janet Derrigo of North Syracuse; 12 grandchildren. Elsie Lash Gridley, 86, formerly of 44 Rickard St., Cortland, died Friday at Cortland Care Center. Born in Virgil, she graduated from Virgil High School in 1935 and Albany Business College in 1937. She was a homemaker. She was a member of United Presbyterian Church and its Women's Association. She was active in many community organizations. Her husband of 60 years, Harold, died in 1999. Darling of Homer; a son, Charles I. of Delmar; four sisters, Mary Lisi and Ruby Stephens, both of Cortland, Laura Perry of  Washington, D.C., and Emma Ward of Olean; two brothers, Allen and Laurence Lash, both of Cortland. He retired in 1970 after 53 years as owner and operator of Vincent Sgambati & Son, a wholesale and retail grocery business in Ozone Park, Queens. He was a communicant of St. Mary of Heaven in Ozone Park. Survivors: His wife of 65 years, the former Carmela Napolitano; a son, Vincent of Syracuse; two sisters, Angelina Madre of California and Josephine D'Ambrosio of Long Island; a brother, Albert of Queens; one grandchild. He was a certified official with the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials and a member of the Old Boys Association of the Boys & Girls Club, Western Star Masonic Lodge 15 and Bellevue Heights United Methodist Church.
