Edward G. Koolakian, 93, of 167 Summerhaven Drive, Erie Village, died Wednesday. He was born in Syracuse. He retired as co-owner of Koolakian's Mens Shop in Syracuse after 75 years. He was a member of DeWitt Kiwanis Club for 40 years and was a member of DeWitt Community Church, Retired Officers Association and Custom Tailor Association. He retired in 1953 as a warrant officer from the Army after 24 years and received the Bronze Star. His wife, the former Genevieve Mento, died in 1985.Survivors: A daughter, Dianne Koolakian of Erie Village; a son, Edward C. of Liverpool; a sister, Helen Minasian of Syracuse; three grandchildren. Services: 9:15 a.m. Saturday at Eaton-Tubbs-Schepp Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in DeWitt Community Church. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. William L. Learmouth

William L. Learmouth, 65, of Hickory, N.C., died Wednesday. Born in DeRuyter, he had also lived in Fayetteville, Manlius and Kirkville before moving away in 1992. He retired from Xerox Corp. after 28 years and had worked for L. & J.G. Stickley Co. He had been a Boy Scout master for Troop 210 in Kirkville. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for seven years and Frye Regional Medical Center and vice president of its auxiliary. He was an Air Force veteran.Survivors: His wife, Janet; a daughter, Jean Learmouth of Hickory, N.C.; two sons, Jeffrey of Camden and Michael of Orange,  Calif.; a sister, Louise Learmouth of Delphi Falls; two grandchildren. Frank A. Lewicki, 85, of Clearwater, Fla., died Saturday. Born in Syracuse, he lived in DeWitt and the Syracuse area 65 years before moving away in 1982. He retired in 1982 as owner and president of Frank Lewicki Painting Co. in Syracuse after 45 years. He was past president of the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America in the Central New York area. He was a member of Syracuse Exchange Bowling League, a former member of Syracuse Kiwanis Club, and vice commander of American Legion Post 41. He was an Army veteran of World War II.Survivors: His wife of 56 years, Eunice; two daughters, Sandy DeLong of LaFayette and Barbara Mohorter of Kirkville; three sisters, Jean Harbold of Orinda,  Calif., Bernice Hewitt of New Jersey and Alice Jastrem of DeWitt; four grandchildren. Ray N. McMillen, 83, of Wiltsieville Road, Hannibal, died Wednesday at Loretto Heights Nursing Home in Oswego. He was a life resident of Hannibal and owned and operated a farm there since 1957. He was a former town councilman and deputy supervisor for the town of Hannibal. He was a member of Nedco Dairy Co-Op and president of Martville Milk Co-Op for 25 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II.Survivors: His former wife, Charlotte Thompson of Fulton; three daughters, Gay Donahue, Sandy Long and Tina Allen, all of Hannibal; two sons, Lee and Ray, both of Hannibal; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. She worked for the Palladium Times for 27 years and retired in 1990 from the admissions office of State University College at Oswego. She was a member of Post Card Club of Oswego County and Oswego Center United Methodist Church. She was a Women's Army Corps veteran of the Korean War.Survivor: Her companion of 47 years, Barbara A. She worked at the U.S. Post Office in Syracuse for several years and taught school in Pulaski for a year. She was a member of St. Matthew's Church in East Syracuse and Taft Settlement Grange. Her husband, Frank, died in 1987.Survivors: A daughter, Carol A. Svoboda; a brother, Louis Hamilton of East Syracuse; her granddaughter and caregiver, Sheila George German of Canandaigua; two great-grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Matthew's Church. Mamie "Thaiorenhote" LaFrance Tarbell, 88, of Rooseveltown died Monday. Born in Hogansburg, she lived in Syracuse many years before moving away in 1983. She attended convent schools in Hogansburg. She worked in laundry at Hotel Syracuse for many years. She was a member of St. Regis Catholic Church in St. Regis, Quebec. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Akwesasne Senior Citizens. She was a Gold Star Mother. Her husband, Louis, died in 1959; a son, William M., died in 1966.Survivors: Five daughters, Margaret D. , Shirley Billion and Nora Tarbell, all of California, Dorothy Vickery of Fulton and Verna Hobson of Syracuse; three sons, George Cook of Waddington, Richard Cook of Hogansburg and Dennis Tarbell of Adams; a sister, Viola Mlynarczyk of Hogansburg; a brother, William Lazore of North Carolina; 19 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
