Catherine Kinane Cassidy, 72, of 28 Kellogg Road, Cortland, died Thursday at Northwoods Rehabilitation & Extended Care Facility in Cortland. Born in Syracuse, she lived in Syracuse until moving to Cortland four years ago. She graduated from St. Patrick's High School, was a homemaker and a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Her husband, Charles Sr., died in 1996; a son, Michael, died in 1998. Survivors: A daughter, Sharon Flint of Preble; three sons, Charles of Syracuse, Shawn of Camillus and Timothy of Clay; a brother, Peter T. Kinane of West Palm Beach, Fla.; 10 grandchildren. Otto Lilley, 93, of 608 Lake St., Pulaski, died Wednesday. Born in Pulaski, he graduated from Pulaski High School in 1926. He retired in 1969 as a supervisor in the petroleum division of Agway and the former G.L.F. Corp. after 37 years. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Pulaski and Pulaski Service Club. He was a 60-year member of Pulaski Grange 730. His wife, the former Grace Merriam, died in 1997. Survivors: A daughter, Elizabeth L. George A. Hare

George A. Hare, 83, of Syracuse, died Friday at James Square Health & Rehabilitation Centre. He was born in Amsterdam. He retired in 1980 as a senior court reporter for the Fourth Judicial District of the state Supreme Court. He retired in 1991 as chair and instructor of the court reporting program at Mater Dei College. In 1992, he received the New York State Court Reporters Hall of Fame Award. He was a member of the 1940 U.S. Olympic speed skating team and held the world record for the intermediate mile for more than 40 years. His wife, the former Jane Dake, died in May.Survivors: Two daughters, Sharman Hare Clark of Syracuse and Kyle Hare Colvin of Columbiaville, Mich.; a son, Neal H. of Liverpool; six grandchildren. He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Camillus. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Ralph Share Post 297.Survivors: Three sons, William W. Rose, and her second husband, Harlie Bacon, died previously.Survivors: Two sons, Steven D. Rose of Oswego and Neal C.
