The search for a missing Essex County man has ended, after family members of 42 year-old James Rowe of Crown Point found his body in a river in Vermont.
Rowe had been camping near Vergennes, Vermont and was last seen on Sunday walking along a nearby river.
Family members traveled to the area on Wednesday and borrowed boats to assist Vermont State Police in their efforts to locate Rowe.

The Vermont State Police Dive Team had searched Tuesday and Wednesday for Rowe but turned up nothing. The body was eventually found about 50 feet from where they ended their last dive.
Foul play is not suspected but an autopsy will be performed at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington to determine Rowe’s cause of death.
