Formerly a 70 year member of South United Methodist Church. Survived by daughter, SuEllen (Bob) Chadwick; sons, David Ross and Paul Ross, all of Columbus; grandchildren, David Scott Wishon, Melissa Sue (Steve) Smith, Brian Keith Wishon; sister-in-law, Mary Ross of Knoxville, TN; brother-in-law, Clarence (Sheila) Ross of Cincinnati; 3 nieces; 2 nephews. RUHL Joseph Ruhl III, age 23, of Westerville, died peacefully in his sleep of natural causes Saturday, March 3, 2001. EDI coordinator at Sterling Commerce, formerly employed with the corporate office of Drug Emporium, Powell and member of Little Turtle Country Club. Survived by mother, Nancy Ruhl; father, Joe (Barbara) Ruhl; fiance, Laura Greetham; grandmother, Audra Collins; special friend, Lee Phfogner, several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews, including Rob and Bobbie Ruhl and Dianne Moore. SHERROD Lee Sherrod, age 68, of Grove City, March 6, 2001 at home. Member of Moose Lodge #11 and Eagles F.O.A. #2252. Preceded in death by son Rodney Sherrod, parents Charles A. Sr. and Mildred Sherrod, granddaughter Crystal Smith and brother Charles H. SIMPSON Sharon Sue Simpson, age 55, died Tuesday, March 6, 2001 at home. Attended school in Westerville and was a resident of Obetz for 25 years. She was a Surgical Tech. at St. Ann's for 13 years. Survived by husband, Dane; daughters, Dana (Dwayne) Bode and Ivy (John) Wise; sons, Dane Jr. and Ralph (Tammy); 13 grandchildren; 12 brothers and sisters. Friends may visit 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at COOK & SON-PALLAY FUNERAL HOME, 1631 Parsons Ave., where funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday. Cremation will follow. SIPE Mary J. Sipe, 72, of Grove City, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2001 at Doctors Hospital West. She was born October 26, 1928 in Columbus to Albert G. and Elva M. (McPeak) Schwartz. Mary was a member of American Legion Post #164, VFW Ladies Auxiliary #3424 and enjoyed cooking. Preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, William C. Sipe; daughter, Tampa J. Bialkowski and beloved, Jim; grandchildren, Tommy and Teddy Bialkowski; brother, Fay Schwartz; and sisters, Jean Wilcomb, Clara Morse and Shirley Warrix. STEPHENSON Mariam Ruth Stephenson, 81, of London, died Friday, March 2, 2001 at 9:30 p.m. in the Port Cavaneral Hospital, Fla. She was born February 16, 1920 in Mechanicsburg, Oh., a daughter of Nelson and Sue Dragoo. Mrs. Stephenson is survived by her husband, Irvin Stephenson; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Lisa Stephenson of Melbourne Beach, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Russell Opipery of Jacksonville, Fla.; sisters and brother-in-law, Joan and Harold "Bud" Crouch of Medway, Oh. and Sandra Kaup of Philadelphia, Pa. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Nelson Dragoo Jr. A graveside service will be held Wednesday March 7, 2001 at 11 a.m. in Alton Cemetery. The family has entrusted RADER-LYNCH AND DODDS FUNERAL HOME, London, with the arrangements.

Retired Marion Power Shovel after nearly 30 years of service and World Harvest Church, Gender Rd. after nearly 10 years of service. Recently employed with Wal-Mart, Reynoldsburg. Member World Harvest Church. Veteran U.S. Army. Survived by wife, Carolsue; daughters, Kathy Bohn and Lisa (David) Lacour; son, Douglas (Kellie) Stewart; step-children, Mickey, Angelia, Martin, Larry and Chris; 5 grandchildren; 9 step-grandchildren; mother, Mary T. SULLIVAN Edward F. Sullivan, age 70, Sunday, March 4, 2001 at Kobacker House. A graduate of St. Johns University, he received his Masters Degree in Business and Finance from Farleigh Dickinson University and was employed by Borden Inc. as a financial analyst in both New York and Columbus for many years. He is survived by his wife, Jennie; brother, James of New York; sister-in-law, Jeanne Lievaart of The Netherlands; brother-in-law, Arie (Juri) de Geus of London, England. TACKETT Charles Edward Tackett, Sr., born November 28, 1922, died March 5, 2001. Retired from Columbus Traffic Engineers. Survived by sister, Ellie; sons, James Tackett of Columbus, Alfred Tackett and wife, Donna of Columbus; daughters, Charlotte and husband, Donald Copas of Xenia, Rose and husband, Larry Holley of Xenia and JoAnn Hodge of Columbus; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Cora Mae Tackett of Columbus and Ruth Ann Tackett of Columbus.

TRAVIS Cecil Paul Travis Jr., 66, of Columbus, passed away Monday, March 5, 2001 in his niece's residence. He was born October 24, 1934 in Mt. Sterling to the late Cecil P. and Bernice Irene (Galloway) Travis. Cecil was a carpenter and attended United Brethren Church of Christ in Columbus. He is survived by a son, Cecil P. "Rocky" (Pamela) Travis III of Chillicothe; granddaughter, Belinda Travis; 2 great-granddaughters, Leah Kyleen and Taylor Nicole; brothers and sisters, Glenn (Sharon) Travis, Richard (Vickie) Travis, Rennie Binkley, Elsie Brown, Linda (Rex) LeMay, Barbara (Ronnie) Morgan and Judith Shinkle; several nieces, nephews and friends. To a special niece, "Candi", thank you from all of us. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou Travis, parents 2 sisters, Shirley Helms and Bea Pollock. Funeral Service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2001 in RADER-MCDONALD FUNERAL HOME, West Jefferson. Burial will follow the service in Oak Grove Cemetery, Georgesville. WATKINS Mary Louise Watkins, age 54, died March 6, 2001 at the Kobacker HousE. She was preceded in death by her father Lawrence and brother Melvin.
