He is preceded in death by his wife Ruth and son Robert . He is survived by son, William; grandson, Dwayne; great-grandchildren, Brian and Amber; cousin, Emilie (Tom) Crawford; various cousins, nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2001 at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel. Friends will be received Friday, March 9, 2001 from 9-10 a.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. Fr. James T. Smith officiating. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. DIAL George Conley Dial, age 62, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2001 in his residence. He was born January 21, 1939 in Columbus. George retired as a truck driver for Anderson Concrete of Columbus after 23 years of service. He is survived by his mother, Dessie Dial; wife, Laura (Colegrove) Dial; 5 daughters, Sue (Ernie) McQuirt, Barbara Coleman, Marcella Wagoner, Roxanne Drayer, Georgianna (Fred) Pennington; son, George (Jamie) Dial; 10 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Jane and Deborah Dial, Dessie (Don) McDonald; brother, Dan (Melody) Dial; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. His father Herbert Dial preceded him in death. Funeral Service 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the RADER-McDONALD FUNERAL HOME, West Jefferson, where family will receive friends 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Friday. Burial will follow in Alton Cemetery.

EVANS Leonard F. Evans of the New Albany area went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, March 6, 2001 at St. Ann's Hospital. He was born February 6, 1933 in Nashport, Ohio, to parents Oliver Frances and Clara Hazel Evans. A member of New Albany First Church of the Nazarene. Retired Mail Carrier with the United States Postal Service after 29 years of service. Also an employee with Meijers on Hamilton Rd. An Army and Air Force veteran. Along with his parents, Leonard is also preceded in death by a son Brian Lynn Evans. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Janet Evans; sons, Donald and David Evans; sister, Jean (Pat) Landrine; brother, Clifford Evans; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Leonard's Life and Homecoming will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2001 at the New Albany First Church of the Nazarene, 6000 Johnstown Rd., New Albany with Pastors Larry McNutt and James Lanning officiating. Family will receive friends 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (on US Route 62, * mile northeast of Hamilton Rd.) Gahanna and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service at church. Interment to follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate, Reynoldsburg. Family suggests contributions may be made to the Building Fund, c/o New Albany First Church of the Nazarene, 6000 Johnstown Rd., New Albany, Ohio 43054 in Leonard's memory.

FELLABAUM Mary V. Fellabaum, of Granville, born July 18, 1932 in Heathfield, County Sussex, England. She was married in 1952 to U.S. Air Force Sergeant William G. Fellabaum who had been stationed at Manston Air Base in Kent, and they lived in Paris until 1955, when they were transferred with their sons, Richard W. and David C., to Forbes Air Force Base in Topeka, Kan., where their their third son, John M. was born. In 1962, the family moved to Lockbourne Air Force Base, now Rickenbacker, in Columbus, Oh., and lived in Gahanna until 1975, when they moved to Harbor Hills, and then to Granville in the early 1980's. Mary operated an antiques business in Granville for many years, and was well known for her gardening skills, as well as her community involvement, both business and political. Her husband Bill died in 1994. Mary Fellabaum died Wednesday, February 28, 2001 in Grant Hospital, Columbus, Oh. She is survived by her 3 sons; her grandchild, Amanda Grace Fellabaum of Columbus; her sister, Paulina; brother, Michael Metianu, both of Kent, England; and her brother, Andrew Metianu of Bedfordshire. Contributions in Mary's name may be made to the Memorial Tree Fund c/o Granville Garden Club, P.O. Box 198, Granville, Oh. 43023 or to New Beginnings Domestic Violence Center. P.O. Box 786, Newark, Oh. 43055. A memorial gathering is planned for Sunday, March 11, 4:30-7 p.m. at the College Town House, 334 East Broadway in Granville.

FINE Frances E. Fine, age 89, of Columbus, died Wednesday, March 7 at Rosegate Care Center. Preceded in death by husband Dr. Willard W. Fine, father James F. Stoltz, mother Louise C. Schramm Stoltz and sister Catherine S. Stoltz. Retired from Capital University Conservatory. Graveside service 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 9, at Forest Lawn Cemetery Chapel, 5600 E. Broad St. Dr. Dennis Anderson officiating. Arrangements by SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN CHAPEL.

FLETCHER Dr. Paul F. Fletcher, of Columbus, Oh., passed away March 6, 2001 at Grant/Riverside, Kobacker House. Dr. Fletcher graduated from Wilberforce University, Wilberforce, Oh. in 1941 and entered Meharry Medical College, Nashville, Tenn. where he earned an M.D. degree in 1944. He interned at Provident Hospital, Chicago, Ill. from 1944-1945 and entered the U.S. Army as a 1st Lieutenant, General Medical Ward Physician from 1945-1946. Dr. Fletcher was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1946 and established General Practice, Lancaster, Pa. as Attending Staff, St. Joseph's Hospital and Lancaster General Hospital from 1946-1950. He then moved to Cincinnati, Oh. and established General Practice as Attending Staff, Catherine Booth Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital from 1950-1954. Dr. Fletcher then reentered the U.S. Army Service with the rank of Captain, 18th FA Battalion, Germany as a Battalion Surgeon. He was promoted to the rank of Major in 1955 and served as Chief, Outpatient Department, Muensweiller Station Hospital, Muensweiller, Germany and Commanding Officer, 220th Medical Detachment, Pirmasens, Germany in 1956 where he was honorably discharged once more. From 1956-1960, Dr. Fletcher established a General Practice in Cincinnati, Oh. and then branched to first year Psychiatry Residency at Brockton Veterans Administration Hospital, Brockton, Mass. from 1960-1961. From 1961-1962 he moved to Boston Veterans Administration Hospital, Boston, Mass for his second year of residency and from 1962-1963 served his third year residency at Court Street Veterans Administration Clinic, Boston, Mass. From 1963-1965, Dr. Fletcher relocated to Togus, Maine and was Staff Psychiatrist till 1965. From 1965-1975, he served as Assistant Superintendent, Taunton State Hospital, Taunton, Mass. From 1975-1976, he was Acting Superintendent, Taunton State Hospital, Taunton, Mass. In 1976, he resigned Taunton State Hospital and accepted Chief of Staff training position at Brockton VA Medical Center. In 1976, Dr. Fletcher relocated to Chillicothe, Oh. where he was Chief of Staff, VA Medical Center. He retired from the Veteran's Administration in 1993. Dr. Fletcher was a member of the National Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, Ohio State Medical Society, Massachusetts State Medical Society and former president of the NAACP, Cincinnati, Oh. He is also a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. Preceded in death by father Alfred Tennyson, mother Mary Connely and sister Mae Pittman. Survived by wife, Ethel Watkins; sister, Elizabeth Oxley; sons, Paul Jr. and Karl; daughters, Elaine Washington and Carol (Paul) Jones; grandchildren, Connie Washington, Desiree Walker, Christopher, Mathew, Sean and William Jones; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2001 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 2777 E. Livingston Ave. Rev. Msgr. Edward F. Trenor, Celebrant. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Friday at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Entombment St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne, Oh.

FUNK Edward R. Funk, age 90, of Columbus, Tuesday, March 6, 2001 at Whetstone Nursing and Health Care Center. Preceded in death by wife Libby Funk, parents Catherine Davies Funk and Edward Funk, nephew Richard Miller, brother John Funk. Survived by step-daughter, Jackie Smith, Columbus; nephew, Evan Funk, Scottsdale, Ariz.; cousin, Dorothy Gregg, Winston Salem, N.C.; several nieces and nephews on deceased wife's side of the family. Retired Sales Field Engineer, Norton-Behr Manning Corp. (now Saint-Gobain Corp.). Graduate of East High School, Cleveland, Oh. Attended John Marshall School of Law and Professional School of Accounting, Cleveland, Oh. Member of Neoacacia Lodge #595 F&AM, A.A.S.R., Valley of Columbus, Aladdin Temple Shrine, retired member of Reception Unit, Aladdin Temple Shrine, Worthington Chapter #287 O.E.S. Mr. Funk requested that NO VISITING HOURS AND NO SERVICE BE RENDERED. Cremation with burial at Walnut Grove Cemetery next to his wife, Libby Funk. HATFIELD Beryl Hatfield, age 73, on Tuesday, March 6, 2001 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Survived by wife of 54 years, Retha; children, Karen (John) Wackenhuth, Rex (Debra) Hatfield and Karla (Curtis) Lowery; grandchildren, Amy and Joseph Hatfield, Alex, Miranda and Justin Lowery; step-grandchildren, Christopher, Derrick and Darren George, Larry Wackenhuth; brother, Murhel (Florence) Hatfield; sisters, Ruth Gilliam, Avonelle (Jack) Hickman and Marilyn (Mick) Jose. Preceded in death by grandson Terry "T.J." Wallace Jr., 1 brother, 2 sisters and parents. Mr. Hatfield was retired from Prudential Insurance Co. Member of Resurrection Evangelical Lutheran Church, Neoacacia Lodge #595, Scottish Rite-Valley of Columbus and Aladdin Shrine. Past-president of Franklinton Kiwanis Club and member of American Legion Post #614. The family will receive friends 3-9 p.m. Thursday at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. HAUEISEN Ermalee Haueisen, age 80, March 5, 2001, Riverside Hospital. Survived by husband, Robert B. Haueisen; son, Robert Ron Haueisen; daughter, Mrs. Steve (Joyce) Heft; grandson, Bryan; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; several nephew and nieces also survive. Longtime volunteer at Riverside Hospital. Member Ascension Lutheran Church. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the WEIR-AREND FUNERAL HOME, 4221 N. HENSON Mikel Henson, age 58, of Circleville, March 3, 2001 in Punta Gorda, Fla. 33 year service with Columbus Police Department. U.S. Air Force Veteran. Member of MOB and HMA Car Clubs. Survived by loving wife, Judy Henson; children, Mikel Thomas Henson and Dawn Rene and grandson, Derek; Kevin, Carrie and Chloe Evans; mother, Emogene Henson; father, Homer Henson; sisters, Judy Cartnal, Joann Van Gorder and Cathy Camp; many nieces and nephews. HOOVER Janis Hoover, 54, of London, died Tuesday at Madison County Hospital. Survived by sons, BJ Jarvis at home, Ronnie (Dawnya) Grizzle of Lakeland, Fla., Eric (Shiela) Grizzle of Jeffersonville and Joe (Marcia) Grizzle of Reynoldsburg; 6 grandchildren; brothers, George Hoover, Jr., Jim Hoover and Mike Hoover, all of Columbus and Jerry Hoover; sister, Sue Crowley of Chicago; several nieces and nephews; very special friend, Connie Howard of London. JUSTICE Lionel E. Justice, age 88, of Lockbourne, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2001 at his residence. He was born April 25, 1912 in Circleville to the late Roy F. and Hazel M. Justice. He retired in 1974 after 31 years as a locomotive engineer with Penn-Central Railroad. He attended the Potter's House Church of God in Columbus. Survived by his wife of 64 years, Martha A. (Denney) Justice; son, William R. (Patricia) Justice, Lithopolis; daughter-in-law, Linda Justice, Pataskala; grandchildren, Steve (Kim) Justice, Pickerington, Michael (Mandi) Justice, Pataskala, Jennifer Justice, Lithopolis, Timothy Justice, Pickerington, Scot Justice, Pataskala; great-grandchildren, Zach, Jordan, Taylor, Kaity, Billy and Brandon; brothers, Marvin Justice, Circleville, Richard (Patricia) Justice, Heath; sister, Imogene Grant, Circleville; many nieces and nephews. Member Friendship Baptist Church, Columbus, Oh. Retired food service worker at Groveport Madison Schools. Survived by husband, Edward Justice; sons, Michael and Susan Justice of Middletown, Oh., Mark and Rebecca Justice of Lancaster, Oh.; 4 grandchildren. Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Shawnee Hills Baptist Church, Portsmouth, Oh. Arrangements by SHERIDAN FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster, Oh. KETCHAM William L. Ketcham, age 76, of Dublin, died Saturday, March 3, 2001 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Bill was born in Rockford, Oh. where he graduated from high school, and then attended U.S. Army Air Force programs at Grinnell College and Kenyon College. He served four years during WW II in the Headquarters Battery, 97th Division Artillery in Europe and Japan. He was graduated from Miami University and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Bill was in sales at Columbus Coated Fabrics for over 30 years and in commercial sales at Patton Wallcovering until his retirement in 1987. He is survived by his wife of over 49 years, JoAnne; daughters, Jane (Scott) Steiner and Beth Ketcham; grandson, Robbie Steiner; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Stan Yaney; nieces, nephews, and many special friends. A Memorial Service and Reception will be held 4 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2001 at the Franklin Park Conservatory, 1777 East Broad St. The family would appreciate memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, Franklin County Unit, P.O.
