PRATHER Hannah Prather, 86, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2001. She was a loving mother and grandmother, a member of the Church of Christ, and retired from Rike's Department Store, Dayton, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her husband Houston. She is survived by her son, Robert (Barbara) Prather; grandchildren, Kerry, Sean, Rob, Mark, Steve, and Jackie; and 10 great-grandchildren. Her family will receive friends Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the COTNER FUNERAL HOME, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where her service will be Thursday at 10 a.m. Graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.

RATCLIFF Jackie Lew Ratcliff, age 67, Sunday, March 11, 2001, at home. U.S. Navy Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Retired Sheet Metal Worker. Member of Sheet Metal Union #98. Avid bowler. Preceded in death by parents Wesley and Gertrude Ratcliff, infant daughters Donna and Denise, brothers Charles, William, Raymond and Rodney Ratcliff. Survived by wife of 43 years, Ruth (Donahoe) Ratcliff; children, Barb (Bill) Wagner, Beverly (Mike) Wilson, Jay Ratcliff, Wes Ratcliff, and Gerald Ratcliff; grandchildren, Michael, Misty, Jeremy, Anthony, Erin, Brittany, Brady, Hunter, and Jacob; one great-grandson, Treyton. ROSE Johnny Michael "John" Rose, age 51, of Columbus, died Saturday, March 10, 2001 at home. Preceded in death by parents John Wesley and Sally Moore Rose, sister Libby Rose, brothers Dan, Richard and Bob Rose. Survived by wife, Angela Rose; children, Wesley Edward Rose, Meridith Alisa Rose, Kaula Elaine Rose, Shawn Michael (Tina M.) Rose, Amber Lynn Bowman and Connie R. Rose; 7 grandchildren; brothers, Dave, Marvin and Darrel Rose; many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2001 at RUTHERFORD-SHROYER FUNERAL HOME, 1278 West Broad St., Columbus, where friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Interment Sunset Cemetery.

SMITH Hazel Smith, age 90, of Grove City, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2001 at Monterey Care Center. Graveside Funeral Service, 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2001 at Kingwood Memorial Park, Lewis Center, with Rev. James Moran officiating. Arrangements handled by the SCHOEDINGER-NORRIS CHAPEL, Grove City.

SMITH Robert L. Smith, of the westside of Columbus, died Sunday, March 11, 2001 at age 77. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret; and four children, Kathy, Greg, Danny and Bob. There are also many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all who loved him dearly. Robert was in the United States Marine Corps and a veteran of WWII (South Pacific). He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and Moose Lodge #11. He loved to go dancing with his wife and friends. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. Robert's wish was to be cremated. There will be no Funeral Service.

SMITH Romaine Smith, age 96, of Columbus, died Sunday, March 11, 2001 at Columbus Alzheimer's Care Center. Born June 21, 1904 in Mt. Perry, Oh. Employed as a licensed practical nurse in Columbus for many years. Attended Livingston Ave. Methodist Church. Survived by two special friends, Paul Simmons and Jeff Cutlio of Columbus. Graveside Funeral Service Wednesday 10 a.m. in Fultonham Cemetery, Fultonham, Oh. Arrangements by WILLIAM Thompson & SON, 5765 Gladstone Dr., White Cottage.

Thompson Edsel W. Thompson, age 69, passed away Monday, March 12, 2001 at Monterey Care Center. Retired copy editor for The Columbus Dispatch. Previous editor for the Coshocton Tribune. Navy veteran. Attended Mt. Sterling Nazarene Church. Lifetime member of the J.C.'s. Preceded in death by brother Gary. Survived by wife, Doris; children, Larry (Shelley) Thompson of Grove City, Mike (Lisa) Thompson of Grove City, Lori (John) Raugh of Orient, Jim (Lisa) Thompson of Grove City, Joe Thompson of Michigan; step children, John (Wendy) Floyd of Ashville, Tim (Debbie) Floyd of Marysville; 7 grandchildren; brothers, Maurice (June) Thompson, Robert (Martha) Thompson and Al (Vera) Thompson; sisters, Eve (Robert) Williams, Beverly (Virgil) Ellerbruck; sister-in-law, Mary Thompson; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. TWIGG Paul E. Twigg, age 79, of Littleton, Colorado, formerly of Toronto, Ohio, died Sunday, March 11, 2001 in Colorado. Preceded in death by his wife Betty Louise Twigg. Survived by one son, Timothy of Nolanville, Texas; two daughters, Debra Twigg of Columbus and Karen Allain of Littleton, Co.; two grandchildren. WAGNER Mary E. Wagner, age 88, Sunday, March 11, 2001 at the Laurels of Norworth. A graduate of Otterbein College, Mary taught in the public schools for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by husband Norman. Survived by son, David Wagner of Alabama; step-son, Robert Wagner of Alabama; daughter, Nancy Scanlon of California; grandchildren, Brian, Erin, Jason, Megan and Andrew; great-grandchild, Colleen. WHITE Mary Lou (White) Toy, 77, of Worthington, Sunday, March 11, 2001 at Kobacker House. Volunteered for the Red Cross during WW II. Member of Trinity Episcopal Church Womens Guild. Volunteer for Sun of Heaven and the Ohio Historical Society. Preceded in death by husband William B. White Jr. Survived by son, W. Steven (Jeanne) White of Dayton, Oh. and daughter, Susan M. Peters of Worthington; grandchildren, Matthew, Caroline, Christopher, Lauren, Nicholas, Allison, Faith, Marissa and Kristin. Funeral service will be at noon Wednesday, March 14, 2001 at St. James Episcopal Church, 3400 Calumet Street, Columbus, where friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon, Father Robert Goodrich officiating. WOLF Ora Mabel Wolf, age 87, of Blacklick, died Sunday, March 11, 2001 at Mt. Carmel Hospital East. Longtime member of Havens Corners Church of Christ in Christian Union. Preceded in death by husband Clyde Homer Wolf, daughter Mabel Lucille Triplett, son Howard Doyle Wolf, granddaughter Kathy Triplett Madden, step-grandson Joseph G. King, son-in-law, Ezra Triplett, Sr., and 5 brothers. Survived by daughters, Phyllis Ann (Thomas) Hughes, M. Louise (Jack) Ray; son, Homer Dale (Holly) Wolf; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson; brother, Sylvester (Mary) Slane; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. WORKMAN E. Pauline Workman, 60, of Pataskala, died at her residence on Sunday, March 11, 2001. Member of Gahanna Free Will Baptist Church, retired from Lucent Technologies after 32 years, IBEW Local 2020 and the Women's Auxiliary. Survived by her three children, Vanessa (Edward) Allspaugh of Pataskala, Tonya (Bret) Bordner of Groveport and Shane (Melissa) Workman of Pataskala; mother, Elizabeth Preece of Delbarton, WV; brothers and sisters, John W. (Myrtle) Preece of Delbarton, WV, Homer R. (Pamela) Preece of Columbus, Barbara L. (Duane) Annable of Columbus, Jerry D. (Cynthia) Preece of Baltimore, Mary (Gary) Edwards of True, WV, Wallace J. (Delores) Preece of Delbarton, WV, and Robert M. CRANDALL Billy G. Crandall, age 75, of Worthington, died Sunday, March 11, 2001 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Retired from the State of Ohio, Department of Mental Health. WWII, US Army Air Corps veteran. Member and Deacon of North Baptist Church. Survived by his wife of 51 years, June (Daugherty) Crandall; children, Kathryn (Jan) Koczera of Hamilton Square, NJ and Timothy (Amy) Crandall of Doylestown, Penn.; 5 grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2001 at North Baptist Church, 76 East Charleston Ave., Columbus, OH 43214. Pastor Owen Stewart officiating. Private interment at Kingwood Memorial Park. Family will welcome friends following the Memorial Service at the church.
