WWII Veteran. Preceded in death by parents Thomas and Alice Mathews; brother Thomas; sisters Eula, Grace, Leonia, Lois, Lucille and Anna; devoted wife of 53 years Martha Jones Mathews. Survived by children, Curtis, Jr. (Phyllis) of Voorhees, NJ; daughter, Darlene (Dave) Davis of Gahanna and Richard of Columbus; brother, Dolphus Mathews; sister, Carrie Hearn; grandsons, Roderic Mathews of Voorhees, NJ; Casey Mathews of Piscataway, NJ and Collin Zachary Davis of Gahanna; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. on March 15, 2001 in the Chapel of DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 East Long Street, Reverend Jack Watkins, officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to the time of service. Interment immediately following the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Central Ohio, 3380 Tremont Road, Columbus, Oh. 43221 in memory of Curtis Mathews.

MILLER Geneva J. Miller, age 68, of Gahanna, formerly Oskalossa, Kansas, went home to be with her Lord, Monday, March 12, 2001. She was a founding member of Poetry and Praise Productions, Songwriter and Poets Critique, and was a nationally published poet. She was an avid prayer warrior and God's servant to the lost, broken, and hurting. She is survived by her mother Genevieve Viles; daughter Deborah Miller; sons David (Christy) and Kenneth Phillip Miller; grandchildren Lauren, Lindsay, Klorissa Ann, and Jesse Phillip; sisters Nova Lee (Don) Cottrell, Annette Rhoades, and Rosalie McQueen. Her family will receive friends Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the COTNER FUNERAL HOME, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where her service will follow at 7 p.m. Interment will be in Oskalossa, Kansas. MINER William R. "Bill" Miner, age 79, of Columbus, died Monday, March 12, 2001, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He was a retired carpenter and a U.S. Army, WWII veteran. Member of the Pickerington Senior Center, Olivedale and the American Legion Southway Post #144. 1942 Graduate of Morral High School. Bill is survived by his daughter and son in law, Teresa and Robert Ball, of Groveport. Companion Lucille Judy, of Columbus and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou (Phillips) Miner and grandson Robert Wesley Ball, Jr. Friends may visit Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Road North (State Route #256), Pickerington, where the funeral servcie will be held Friday 10:00 a.m., with Pastor Mark Singh-Hueter, officiating. MOLIHAN Kenneth C. Molihan, 70 Columbus, Monday, March 12, 2001, surrounded by his loving family. May 2, 1930, Vinton County to the late Clifford K. and Sylvia B. Bowen Molihan. A U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, factory worker, coal miner and butcher. Life member of AM Vets Post #53, loved animals, enjoyed coon hunting. Survived by wife: Marcella, Daughters: Pam (David) Hulse, Westerville, Christy (Paul) Bookhout, Virginia Molihan, Columbus, Sons: Ralph Molihan, Columbus, Kenny (Debbie) Molihan of Fla., Step-son: Carl Saultz, Columbus, 16 Grandchildren, 2 Great-grandchildren, Brother: Jack, Sisters: Elsie Walsh, Dorothy Martin. Preceded in death by Brother Johnny and Sister Betty Wooten. MOORE Josephine Elizabeth Moore, 83 of Columbus, beloved mother and grandmother. Died March 11, 2001 in Eastland Care Center. She was born February 15, 1918 in Columbus, the daughter of the late Turney C. and Daisy (Maley) Eccard. She was preceded in death by her parents & son-in-law Lewis Herman. She is survived by her daughters, Jo Herman of Columbus and Patricia (Don) Killelia of Reynoldsburg; sons, Ray D. Kendall of Ironton, AL, gordan (Colleen) Moore, Jr. of N. Lebanon, ME and Larry (Laura) Moore of Lawley, AL; 21 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Thursday at the WELLMAN FUNERAL HOME, Circleville, with Pastor John Mittermaier officiating. Burial will be in Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery. MORRISON Lawrence Morrison, age 70, Monday, March 12, 2001 at the residence. Retired artist. Preceded in death by daughter Loretta Chaffin. Survived by wife of 25 years, Alberta; children, Linda (Gary) Hawkins, Connie (Wayne) Hamilton, Carlene (Robert) Avery, Orville (Tina) Radabaugh, Deanna (John) Owens and Alberta (Salvador) Radabaugh; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. MURPHY June Ruth Murphy, age 78, of Reynoldsburg, died Monday, March 12, 2001 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and a WW II veteran having served in the U.S. Navy (WAVES). Preceded in death by her husband Francis Murphy in 1999. Survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Carla Murphy; grandson, Eric; relatives and friends. Funeral service 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 16 at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Entombment at Forest Lawn Mausoleum. NO FLOWERS PLEASE. Those who wish may contribute to Trinity U.C.C. in June's memory.

PAYNE Mrs. Andrea Renea Henley Payne went to be with the Lord on March 10, 2001 at the age of 40 years at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Employed at D.R.M.O. for 21 years of service. Faithful member of World Harvest Church, 1979 graduate of East High School, National Honor Society, Who's Who Among American High School Students. Preceded in death by grandparents Elizabeth and Malcolm Henley, brother Harry Antonio Jackson, nephew Jermaine Jackson. Survived by loving, devoted husband Keith W. Payne; sons Jashawn A. PERDUE Alice V. Perdue, age 75 Tuesday March 13, 2001 at her residence. She was born March 9, 1926 in South Zanesville. She graduated from South Zanesville High School in 1944. She graduated from White Cross Hospital in nursing in 1947. She was formerly employed as a surgical nurse at Bethesda and then for 25 years as a nurse for Dr. Charles Donley. She was a member of South Zanesville United Methodist Church where she served on the administrative board and sang in the choir for 30 years. She also served as a substitute Sunday School teacher and was a member of United Methodist Women. She is survived by her husband of 55 years Don Perdue of the home. Three children: Becky Perdue of Dublin, Roxie (Rich) Tenaglia of Columbus, Steve (Joyce) Perdue of Columbus. Four grandchildren: Alisha Perdue, Matthew Perdue, Jessica Perdue, Jennifer Tenaglia. Two brothers: Carl (Pauline) Gibson and Russell (Eileen) Gibson both of South Zanesville. Two sisters: Luanna (Jim) Shipley of Zanesville and Lenora (Ned) Watts of Crooksville. She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph & Nettie Morrison Gibson. Calling hours 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday March 15, 2001 at WILLIAM Thompson & SON 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday March 16, 2001. Rev. SCHAUER Dale E. Schauer, age 52, of Powell, Monday, March 12, 2001 at Grady Memorial Hospital, Delaware. Advertising and Marketing Manager for Mitutoyo America Corporation. He is preceded in death by his father Edward J. and father-in-law Arthur M. Gasser and is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Mary Lou; children, Jarrett, Adam, Austin and Jenna, all of Powell; mother, Mildred Schauer of Independence, Oh.; sister Denise (Joseph) Zalar, Broadview Hgts., Oh.; mother-in-law, Helen Gasser, Logan Oh.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Leanne (Tom) Brannock, Hilliard, Oh., Bill (Marie) Gasser, Canal Fulton, Oh., Tom (Judy) Gasser, Lancaster, Oh., John (Myra) Gasser, Dublin, Oh., Amy Kallmerten, Columbus, Joy (Larry) Culp, Dublin, Honnie (Dan) Resler, Logan Oh., Marti Gasser, Colorado Springs, Co., Scott (Jane) Gasser, Muncie, Ind.; many nieces and nephews. SLAGLE Marguerite Slagle, age 88, of Upper Arlington, died Monday, March 12, 2001 at Whetstone Care Center. She graduated from The Ohio State University and worked for many years as a Nurse Supervisor at OSU. She was preceded in death by her husband Craig Slagle and by her brother Robert L. Anderson. Marguerite is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, John A. and Mary Anderson, of Austin, Tx., and several nieces. A private interment will be held for the family at West Carlisle Cemetery in West Carlisle, Ohio. Arrangements by SHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd.

She was preceded in death by husband Norman. Peters of Worthington; grandchildren, Matthew, Caroline, Christopher, Lauren, Nicholas, Allison, Faith, Marissa and Kristin.
