FLOYD A funeral service for Robert L. Floyd, age 68, of Heath, will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2001 at the Heath Chapel of HENDERSON, Van ATTA & JOHNSTON FUNERAL SERVICE with Rev. Scott Taube officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Rest Memorial Estate, Reynoldsburg. Mr. Floyd, who was a dispatcher for the Newark Police Department for 12 years, died March 15, 2001 at Doctors Hospital West in Columbus. He was born August 11, 1932 in Logan, Oh. to Thaddeus D. Floyd of Buckeye Lake and the late Frances (Robey) Floyd. Mr. Floyd was a volunteer paramedic with the Buckeye Lake Fire Department for 14 years. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserves and enjoyed scuba diving and was an avid photographer. He was a Mason and a member of the SPEBSQSA Barbershop Quartet. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Louise (Callahan) Floyd; sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Patti Floyd, Gahanna, Jim and Dorinda Floyd, Charlotte, N.C., Tom and Kathy Floyd, Powell; daughters and son-in-law, Susan and Eric Enyart, Sarasota, Fla., Sandy Floyd, Canal Winchester; step-son, Jim and Nancy Goodman, Brandon, Fla.; step-daughters, Linda Goodman, Jeannie and Ron Rosebraugh, all of Buckeye Lake; 10 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Chuck and Augie Floyd, Heath, Mike and Sharon Floyd, Marion, Pat and Margie Floyd, Union Furnace, Oh.; sisters, Cheryl and Dwayne Battle, Buckeye Lake, and Mary Vaubel, Hebron; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a grandson Andrew J. Floyd and a brother John C. Floyd. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Friday, March 23 and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 1249 Hebron Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthur G. FOWLKES Cinda Lou Fowlkes, of Westerville. Born May 22, 1909, died peacefully at home with her family nearby. Preceded in death by husband of 64 years Ralph E. Fowlkes and son Rev. Ralph E. Fowlkes, Jr. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Charles Hall, Westerville; granddaughters, Deborah (James) Bennati, Westerville, Meg (Ken) Murphy Raleigh NC; grandsons, Stephen (Deborah) Fowlkes, Durham NC, C. Dan (Pam) Hall, Galena; great-grandchildren, Adam, Jaime and Julia Bennati, Daniel and Gabriel Fowlkes, Allison and Matthew Murphy. Cinda lived in Westerville since 1978. Member of Church of the Savior U.M., Mizpah Chapter #38 OES, Lifetime member of National Story League and Charter Story League. Member of National Association of Parliamentarians; Blendon Senior Citizen Center. Cinda formerly lived in Huntington, W.Va. where she was an active member of Central Methodist Church having taught Sunday School and headed children's groups for many years. She was a licensed LPN and was the first Executive Director of the LPN Association of West Virginia. Attended Morehead University in Morehead, KY. Friends may call at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 S. State St., Westerville, 7-9 p.m. Friday, where service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday. Rev. Ted Smith officiating. Interment Riverside Cemetery. GAINES Lillian May (Wolverton) Gaines of Moab, Utah, formerly of Westerville passed away Sunday, March 11, 2001 in Moab. She was born March 28. Member of the Columbus Baptist Temple. Preceded in death by parents Ray and Phyllis Wolverton, sister Lucille, brothers Jim, Ed and Ray. Survived by husband George E.; children, George (Mindy) Gaines, Jim (Debbie) Gaines, Gary Gaines, Michele (Jerry) Sorrell. Sean Gaines; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Tiffany, George, Lindsey, Jeremy, Jimmie, Ashley; brother, Bob (Marge) Wolverton; sister, Joann (Dale) Ryan; many numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. GIBSON David A. Gibson, also known as "Double Clutchin Dave", age 54, of Plain City, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born May 28, 1946 in Columbus, Oh. Dave was raised in the Grocery profession and operated Gibson's IGA in Plain City for 12 years. He hosted a 15 minute radio show on Sunday mornings on 610WTVN "NASCAR News, Notes & Gossip" for the past 6 years, and was an avid race car fan and drag raced for 20 years in the car "Trick or Treat". Preceded in death by parents William and Sylvia (Weese) Gibson, Sr. Survived by wife, Linda (Griffs) Gibson; children, David "Butch" (Lori) Gibson of Denver, N.C., Robert (Laurie) Gibson of Columbus, Tony (Mayda) Gibson of Milford Center and Brooke (Andy) Tomblin of Plain City; 9 grandchildren; brothers, Bob (Shirley) Gibson of Zanesville and William (Laura) Gibson II of Plain City; sisters, Shirley (Duke) Dozer of Mechanicsburg and Barbara (Tel) Blackburn of Columbus. A combined Celebration of Life and Memorial Service will be held Friday March 16, from 4-7:30 p.m. with the Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m. at the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 202 E. Main St. (R. 161W), Plain City. Officiating Pastor Chris Polley of Trinity Chapel, Milford Center. GILLILAN Nathan L. Gillilan, age 96, of Columbus, March 13, 2001 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Attended Groveport Madison Christian Church. Member of Groveport Masonic Lodge #240 F&AM. U.S. Navy Veteran WW II. Life member of VFW Post #7941, South Bloomfield. Preceded in death by daughter Marian Louise Linley. Survived by children, Lois Jean (Dick) Ridgeway of Fredericktown, Oh., Richard (Wanda) Gillilan, Patricia Reed, Rose (Dorris) Moore and Kenneth (Judy) Gillilan, all of Groveport; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Clarence (Daisy) Gillilan of Grove City; sister, Garnett Reinhard of Obetz; sister-in-law, Violet Gillilan of Tampa, Fla.; many nieces, nephews and friends. GOTSCHALL Joseph L. Gotschall, age 72, Wednesday, March 14, 2001. Veteran U.S. Army, Korean Conflict. Member of East Gate Lodge #603 F&AM, Scottish Rite, Valley of Columbus, Aladdin Temple Shrine. Preceded in death by son Daniel. Survived by wife, Corinne; children, Sharon Gotschall (Jeff) Booth, Georgeanna Barton, Susan Dattilo and Joseph Sterling; grandchildren, Jessica, Melissa, Mark, Damon, Joy, Brian, David and Lucas; great-grandchildren, Zachary and Jacob. HOELSHER (Underwood) Vicky Lynn Underwood Hoelsher, age 48, of Marietta, Ga., Wednesday, February 21, 2001. Graduate of Northland High School, Class of 1971. Preceded in death by mother Phyllis Underwood. Survived by daughter, Vanessa Hoelsher; sons, Casey Steele and Richard Hoelsher, all of the home; father, Richard Underwood of Columbus, Oh.; brother, Michael Underwood of Kissimmee, Fla. Memorial Service will be held Sunday, March 18, 2001 at 2 p.m., The Church of the Master United Methodist, 24 N. Grove St., Westerville, Oh. Dr. David Hogg officiating. KERNS Betty Rittgers Kerns, 75, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2001 at Fairfield Medical Center. Survived by her husband of 53 years, Howard D. Kerns; sons, Howard S. (Peggy) Kerns, Alemeda, Calif. and Victor A. Kerns, Oakland, Calif.; 2 grandchildren, Jordan and Glenn Kerns; step-sister, Thula Wright of Holland, Mich. Preceded in death by her parents Floyd E. and Myrtelle Rittgers. Memorial services will be held at a later date at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME with Karl Hartmann officiating. The family suggests contributions be made in her memory to Hospice of Fairfield Co. or Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks #570.

LAPP Maxine Murphy Lapp, age 87, of 17 Fairway Drive, Mount Vernon, died March 11, 2001 at the Country Court Nursing Home in Mt. Vernon from injuries received in an automobile accident February 10, 2001. She was born August 18, 1913 in Wilmington to Ray and Bessie (Reynolds) Murphy. Maxine married Dr. Henry T. Lapp on November 2, 1939 and they spent their lifetime in Mt. Vernon. Maxine was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Old Homestead Club, Town and Country Garden Club, Mt. Vernon Country Club and Knox Chapter 236 of the Order of Eastern Star, all in Mt. Vernon and had been a 50 year member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority in Mt. Vernon. Maxine is survived by her son, Tom (Kathy) Lapp of Hilton Head, S.C.; her granddaughter, Renee Michelle Lapp of Columbus; her brother, Fred Murphy of Wilmington; her sister, Donna South of Sabina; a cousin, Dr. Bob Murphy of Upper Arlington; and many nieces and nephews. Also Maxine was truly blessed to have so very many loving and caring friends. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995, her parents and her brother Glen R. Murphy. Friends are welcome to come celebrate her life Saturday at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Vernon. The FLOWERS-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Vernon is in charge of arrangements. LEUTHEUSER Dorothy K. Leutheuser, age 92, a longtime resident of Upper Arlington, and recently the Forum at Knightsbridge, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was a graduate of East High School and The Ohio State University, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She was formerly an active member of the Childhood League and served on the board of the Home for the Aged. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Leutheuser in 1993. She is survived by her daughter, Gretchen (Charles S., III) Davis of Devon, PA; grandchildren, Hannah (Daniel) Pilotte, Charles S. (Min Jung) Davis, IV, and Katharine E. Davis; 2 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2001 at St. Alban's Episcopal Church, 333 S. Drexel Ave., Bexley. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery. MALEY William M. Maley, age 61, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2001. Served in the U.S. Marine Corp. Preceded in death by father Avlin Maley. Survived by wife, Belva; sons, Andy (Jean) Maley; daughter, Karen (Sam) Jones; mother, Dora Maley; step-sons, Eric, James and Bill; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, James (Tommie); sister, Juanita; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 1346 S. High St., Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where the service will be held Saturday 11 a.m. Dr. William L. Snider officiating. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Miller; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Heather Hempleman of Lancaster; daughters, Melissa Hempleman and friend, Jeff Camp, Tonia Hempleman and friend, Harold O'Connor, all of Baltimore; grandchildren, Taylor Hempleman, Natalie Camp and Devin O'Connor; parents, Charles and Wanda Miller; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles P. and Brenda Miller, all of Thurston, Paul L. and Melanie Miller of Gahanna; 4 nephews; 2 nieces; mother-in-law, Peggy Reynolds of Baltimore. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, Baltimore, Oh. with Rev. Bob Tussing, of Grace United Church of Christ, officiating.
