Gardner Oscar A. Gardner, 80, of Grove City, passed away Friday, March 16, 2001 at his home. He was a retired COTA mechanic and a WW II Army veteran serving in Germany. Oscar was also a member of the Moose, VFW and American Legion. Preceded in death by his wife Elloise on February 14, 2001. Oscar is survived by his children, Richard (Jackie) Gardner of Grove City, John Gregory (Mindy) Gardner of Columbus, Larry (Judy) Gardner of Columbus and Brian (Carol) Gardner of Mt. Sterling; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. There will be no service. Inurnment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements by SCHOEDINGER NORRIS CHAPEL.

GLAAB Charlotte (Prince) Glaab, age 58, born October 14, 1942 in Rochester, Pa., passed away Thursday, March 15, 2001 at Riverside Methodist Hospitals. She is preceded in death by beloved husband Gerald Glaab and aunts Ann Krecsmar and Dolores Toth. She is survived by her parents, Griffith and Mary Prince; daughters, Deborah Ketterer (Robert Svanda) and Tammy (Mark) Kaufold, all of Pa.; brothers, David (June) Prince of N.J. and Doug (Candy) Prince of Pa.; sisters, Kathy (Rod) Carroll of Columbus and Karen Pederson; brother-in-law, Ralph (Karen) Glaab, all of Pa.; nieces, Lisa (Steve) Vukovich, Terri Prince, Emma Carroll and Kim (Bob) Detka; nephew, Rick (Michelle) Glaab; special uncles, John Krecsmar and Joseph Toth, both of Columbus; cousins, Carol Krecsmar and Mary Krecsmar. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High St., where service will be held Monday 10 a.m. Rev. Dr. William L. Snider officiating. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff at Riverside Methodist Hospital Oncology Floor and Columbus Oncology Associates. Contributions may be made to the family.

GRAY Jack William Gray, 74, Newark, died Friday, March 16, 2001 at his home after a long illness. Funeral service will be held Tuesday March 20, 2001 at 11 a.m. at the BRUCKER & KISHLER FUNERAL HOME, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. Rev. Tom Myers will officiate and burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be observed Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Jack was born in Columbus, Oh. on December 25, 1926 to the late Jackson William Gray and Lucille Newland Gray. He was a former employee of the Newark Advocate and retired from the Columbus Dispatch on May 2, 1989 after 35 years. He was a member of the Communications Workers of America Local #4320, the Quarter Century Club of Wolfe Industries and a lifetime member of the VFW Post #1060. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army, serving in Korea as a cook. He enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling, cooking and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty J. Whissen Gray, whom he married on May 11, 1952; his children, son and daughter-in-law, Dennis William (Sharon) Gray; daughter and son-in-law, Debra Marie (James) Clary, both of Newark; son, Kenneth Michael Gray of Marion; grandchildren, Jennifer Paul, Lea Bruce, Tiffany Bruce, Zachery Gray, Cara Gray, Steven Gray; step-grandchildren, Joseph Boardman, Derek Clary and Vanessa Clary; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gene and Barbara Whissen of Newark; several nieces and nephews. His step-daughter Sandra Paul, 2 half-sisters Clare and Lucille and 2 half-brothers William and George, preceded him in death. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Rock Foundation at Camp Falling Rock c/o Fred Nickerson, 2025 North Street, Granville, Oh. 43023 or to Hospice of Licking County.

HERDERICK Bernadine E. Herderick, of Columbus, age 90, Friday, March 16, 2001 at the Villas of St. Therese Retirement Center. Longtime member Corpus Christi Church and the Rosary Altar Society. Preceded in death by husband Bernard Herderick. Survived by sister-in-law, Mary G. Herderick; nieces, Kathleen (Newt) Thomas, Carol Russ, Mary Jo (John) Mercurio, Pearl (James) Brennan; many nieces and nephews from Columbus, Lancaster, Barberton, and Zanesville, Oh. Jones Doris Jones, age 76, March 14, 2001 at the residence. Active member of Los Amigo Club. Longtime member of Shiloh Baptist Church where she was active in many church programs. Preceded in death by husband Clarence Jones and parents Estees and Sally Jo Battle. Survived by brother, Estees Jr. (Loretta) and Stanley (Barbara) Battle; sister, Elizabeth (Julis) Whatley; niece, Pamela (Frank) Harvey; great-niece, Leslie Brown; and many other cousins, relatives and friends. LASCOLA Sebastian J. "Bud" Lascola, age 76, passed away Friday, March 16, 2001 at his home. Veteran WW II, U.S. Navy. Survived by wife of 53 years, Nina; sons and daughters-in-law, John J. and Diane Lascola, Charles F. and Pauline Lascola; grandchildren, Joseph Lascola, Dawn and Kyle Crozatt, Rebecca and Andrew Hoffman; step-grandsons, Mitchell Crissinger and Joseph Crissinger; great-grandchildren, Alex, Lynzee, Samantha, Miriah, Makayla and Eric; sisters, Rosemary Hanson nad Joanne Flauhouse; brother, Thomas Lascola; many nieces and nephews. LAWSON Ruby Lawson, age 75, of Columbus, died Thursday March 15, 2001 at Riverside Hospital. Member of the Fourth Avenue Christian Church. Retired dietary aid from Riverside Hospital. Preceded in death by son James and parents Tom and Dora Swearingen. Survived by husband, James; son, George Balzer Jr.; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Aldridge (Charles) of Thackery; brothers, Delbert Swearingen of Millerstown and Harry Swearingen of Urbana; sister-in-law, Betty Swearingen of Urbana. LEE Jack Lee, born November 4, 1930, in Pomeroy, Oh., passed away Thursday, March 15, 2001. He graduated from Pomeroy High School, was employed for many years with the Ford Motor Company, and was manager of R.M.H.E. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Susan Lee. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Lee; son and daughter-in-law, David and Mary Lee; granddaughter, Rebecca Lee; brother-in-law, George (Claudia) Fowler; nephew, George Fowler, III; niece, Terri Lynn Bernard. His family will receive friends Sunday 2-5 p.m. at the COTNER FUNERAL HOME, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where his service will be Monday at 10 a.m. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate.

Member of Temple Israel, B'nai B'rith, Brandeis University, the Anti-Defamation League, a 32nd Degree Mason, a lifetime Shriner, and a former officer of the Bexley Celebrations Association. Preceded in death by wife Patricia Rose and son Daniel Herbert. Survived by children, Cynthia L. of La Jolla, Calif., Phillip S. of Boston, Mass., John D. of Santa Monica, Calif., David J. of Columbus and Janet C. of New York City; nephew, John Resler of Miami, Fla.; grandchildren, Ashley, Carley, Michael, Whitney, Haley and Bruce; 3 great-nieces; 2 great-nephews; companion, Beatrice Krakoff. Service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, March 18, at Temple Israel. Rabbi Donni Aaron officiating. Interment thereafter at Green Lawn Cemetery. MOYER Ronald Joseph Moyer, age 57, of New Albany, on Friday March 16, 2001 at his residence. Ronny loved all, and was loved by all. Preceded in death by grandparents Ambrose and Mary Smeltzer, Charles and Carrie Moyer. Survived by parents, Glenn R. and Helen Moyer; many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call 3-6 p.m. Sunday at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 East Johnstown Road, (on Rt. 62, * mile east of Hamilton Rd.) Gahanna. McCULLOUGH Bonnie McCullough, age 86, a longtime resident of Upper Arlington, died Thursday, March 15, 2001. She was a voracious reader and an avid baseball fan. She had a great sense of humor and said that when she passed away to list her cause of death as "the Atlanta Braves". She was preceded in death by her husband Edward M. "Pops" McCullough, beloved son-in-law Jack L. Hopper, parents Alice and Otto Huston and seven brothers. Bonnie is survived by her loving daughter, Saundra Hopper; grandsons, J. Michael (Sally) Hopper and Daniel Hopper; special great-grandsons, Michael Jack and Andrew Hopper; brother, Marvin Huston; sisters, Eunice Carey, Naomi (Paul) Arnold, Donna Williams and Barbara (Homer) Friend; aunt, Theresa West; sister-in-law, Doris Huston; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2001 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where the family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Rev. David VanHoose will officiate. A private interment will be held later for the family. If desired, contributions may be made to Delta Rescue, P.O. Box 9, Glendale, CA 91209 or a favorite charity in her memory.

NEFF Mary Ann Neff (Pawlowski), 59, of Pataskala, died at Mt. Carmel West Hospital on Tuesday, March 13, 2001. Born July 25, 1941 in Depew, N.Y. and was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Eastern Star, Sulky Sweeties and was employed at Family Physicians of Gahanna. Survived by her husband, Richard Neff; children, Charles R. (Michelle) Neff of Commercial Point and Julie A. (Neff) (Timothy P.) Leonard of Pataskala; step-daughter, Jeri L. Pierson of Pataskala; sister, Theresa (Roger) Morgan of Gahanna; brother, John (Nancy) Pawlowski of Columbus; grandchildren, Nick, Samantha, Sydney, Liam, Rachel, Cari and George; countless family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Adolph and Olympia Pawlowski and step-son Rick Neff. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2001 at 10 a.m. at St. Pius Catholic Church with Fr. Dan Ochs officiating. Friends and family will also be received after the mass between the hours of 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at Tall Timber Banquet and Conference Center, 13831 National Rd. NORMAN David C. Norman, 77, of Mt. Sterling, died March 15, 2001 at Mt. Carmel West, Columbus. He was born November 13, 1923 in Hebron, Oh., son of the late Charles and Garnet (Cooper) Norman. A retired Truck Driver for IML Motor Freight. Member of First United Methodist Church in Mt. Sterling and various church organizations, Teamsters Local #413. Preceded in death by brothers Walter, Bill and Amos and sisters Florence and Susie. He is survived by wife, Judy; sons, Mark (Susan) Norman and Randy Norman, all of Columbus; daughter, Lisa (Michael) Niezghoda of Ashville; grandchildren, Paige Brown, Randall Norman, Jason Cummings, Brittany and Brenden Niezghoda; sister, Mary (Milford) Gutridge of Newark; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2001 at the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Sterling. Rev. Paul Moots officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Sunday March 18, 2001 from 2-5 p.m. at the PORTER FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling.
