MOFFO Jerry A. Moffo, 61, of Port Clinton, Oh., and formerly of Columbus, Oh., died suddenly Saturday at H.B. Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton. He was born April 18, 1939 in Mingo Junction, Oh., the son of the late Giralamo and Margaret (Elish) Moffo. Mr. Moffo was owner, and chairman of the board, of the Marfo Co. in Columbus. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Port Clinton where he was very involved in the church, the church school, and other various charitable organizations. He married Sally (Keedy), October 16, 1976 and she survives along with daughters, Trisha and Tracy, at home, daughter, Joy and sons, Jerry Jr. and John, all of Columbus; sisters, Helen Moffo of Rayland, Oh. and Rosemary Cooper of Copley, Oh.; brothers, Foster and Joseph Moffo, both of Columbus; 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Visitation will be held at NEIDECKER-LEVECK & CROSSER FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Fulton St., Port Clinton on Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. with the family present from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. There will be a Rosary Service Tuesday evening at 8:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church with visitation there one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Catawba Island Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Church.

McGHEE John D. McGhee, Jr., 73, of W. Jefferson died Friday March 16, 2001 in Doctors Hospital West. Retired from the United States Navy having served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam and later from the maintenance dept. of Southwestern City Schools. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post #7005 in W. Jefferson, Oh. Preceded in death by wife Betty Jane (1993). Survived by step daughter, Paula Peters, Tex. and brother, Donald (Ina) McGhee, W. Jefferson, Oh. At John's request there will be no calling hours or services. Arrangements being handled by SCHOEDINGER-NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway Grove City, OH.

OHRSTEDT Margaret Seman Petry Ohrstedt, age 83, of Clintonville, died Sunday, March 18, 2001, at OSU Hospitals. Arrangements being completed by RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME, 2383 North High St., Columbus, (614)299-1153.

PATINGALE Anges M. Patingale, 78, died Saturday at her residence in Delaware. Born January 5, 1923 in London, Oh., to Emogene (Burnside) and Harold Davis. Retired Bookkeeper and Office Manager for Northwest Popcorn and Seed Co. Member Warrensburg UMC, George Lewis Behrens Chapter #504 Order of Eastern Star, Lakewood Shrine #26 Order of The White Shrine of Jerusalem. Survived by son, Jeffrey (Betsy) of Archbold; daughter, Lori of Ostrander; grandchildren, Brant Schmitt of Wilmington, James (Jung) Miller of Plymouth, Mich., Marsha Miller of Boston, Caroline Schmitt of Archbold; brother, William (Marilyn) Davis of Grove City; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded by husband Chester A. and brother Earnest. PENNINGTON Clifton M. Pennington, age 70, Friday, Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Retired Columbus Police Department after 32 years of service. Member FOP. Veteran U.S. Army. Avid gardener and nature lover. Loved to play his banjo and bluegrass music. Survived by loving wife of 50 years, Blanche; loving children, Cheryl (Mark) Pennington of Amesbury, Mass., Sandy (Craig) Fickes of Tampa, Fla., Mike (Mo) Pennington of Columbus, Ron Blevins of Baltimore, Oh.; grandchildren, Ronda Parsons, Rob Blevins, Ryan Blevins, Sarah McCullough, Megan Fickes; great-granddaughter, Marissa Parsons; sisters, Eldred Craine of Lexington, Ky., Mildred Gilmore of Lexington, Ky., Audrey Evans of Chicago, Ill.; brother, James E. A vacationer who loved to travel, a thoughtful and caring person who was fun to be with and will be sadly missed. Survived by mother, Milanka Picalovski; sister, Liz (Rich) Vargo; brother, Dragon Picalovski; aunts and uncles, Karl Topevski, Elena Trajnovski, Dorothy and Eli Trajkovski; nieces and nephews, Christina, Christopher, and Katrina; special friend Steph; cousins, relatives and many friends. SCHEIDERER Margaret M. Dixon Scheiderer, 98, March 16, 2001. Retired cook with S.W. School System. Member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, New Rome Garden Club, Study Group. Born in Jackson County, Oh., she was the daughter of Charles and Leona Dixon. In 1927, she married Clarence E. Scheiderer. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband; brothers and sisters C. Floyd, Clifford Alpha (Lena), J. Howard, Mary T. (Clarence) M. Smith), Bernice (Gerald McEntire), Paul (Velma), Pearl (Howard Reeb) and Clarence F.; also brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert (Marie), Henry, Herbert, August (Grace) Scheiderer. Surviving relatives include sisters-in-law, Helen Dixon, Leona and Burnette Scheiderer; children, Louis, Clarice Zangmeister, Paul (Margaret); grandchildren, Kirk (Lisa) Scheiderer, Kim Scheiderer, David (Lisa), John (Judy), Steven (Laura) Zangmeister, and Beth (Jon) McCormick; eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. SHERROW Marjorie L. Sherrow, age 86, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2001, at Windsor Court Care Center. Survived by loving son, Michael (Bernice ) Sherrow; granddaughter, Kristina Alexander; great grandchildren, Nathan, Josh, Emma. Preceded in death by husband George E. Sherrow; grandson Michael Sherrow II; great grandson Brandon. Funeral Services Wednesday 11 a.m. in the LONG FUNERAL HOME, 5528 Cleveland Ave. (one block South of SR 161). Family will receive friends Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Rev. Paul Keener presiding. Burial Glen Rest Memorial Estate. SMITH Luther C. Smith, 58, former Portsmouth resident, died at his residence in Columbus Tuesday, March 13, 2001. He was born in Portsmouth August 16, 1942, a son of the late John C. Smith and Virginia Taylor Smith. He was a retired Pharmacist, a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Pharmacy, a graduate of Columbus Technology Institute with a degree in Accounting Technology. He was a Life Master in the American Contract Bridge League. He was a graduate of Portsmouth High School. Survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Lawrence Sturgill, and Julia and Ralph Wisniewski; also a niece Virginia Sturgill; a nephew John Taylor Wisniewski; three great nieces; and two great nephews. Services will be Thursday, March 22, 2001, at 11 a.m. at the F.C. DAEHLER MORTUARY CO. in Portsmouth with the Rev. Evan D. Fisher officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. There is to be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the John C. Smith Fund at the Scioto County Area Foundation or to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.

STEWART David L. Stewart, age 52, passed suddenly Thursday, March 15, 2001 at Grant Medical Center after a brief diabetic related illness. David was a graduate of Ohio Dominican College receiving a BS in Political Science. Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. Upon graduation from college he spent a decade working as a political activist on local, state and national democratic campaigns. David was employed with Nationwide Insurance Co. Preceded in death by parents William and Persie Stewart; daughter Janae Stewart. He leaves to cherish his memories son, David Ayinde Stewart; beloved and devoted lifetime friend Gladys Huff; brother, William Karl of Chillicothe; sister, Rosemary of Columbus; cherished niece, Nicole Onika; and a host of other relatives and friends. Homegoing service Tuesday, March 20, 2001 12 noon at Trinity Baptist Church, Atcheson St. & St. Clair. Family will receive friends 11 a.m. until time of service. Pastor Emeritus Rev. E.A. STORCH Ruth L. Storch, age 90, of Columbus, died Friday, March 16, at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Preceded in death by parents Frank and Ida Storch, and brothers and sisters. Survived by niece, Sue Deibert; great-niece, Kelley Deibert and great-nephew, William (Amy) Deibert. Life time member of St. John Evangelical Protestant Church. Member of St. John's Senior Christian Fellowship. Former board member of Pauline Home for the Aged. Former volunteer with Children's Hospital and Southside YMCA. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, at the SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN CHAPEL, 229 E. State St., where funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to a favorite charity in her memory.

STRAPP Antoinette Rose Strapp, age 52, died after a long and painful fight with cancer Thursday, March 15, 2001 at Hospice at Riverside. She attended Bishop Ready High School. She worked at the Clarmont Restaurant for 21 years. Preceded in death by her father Frank Staropoli and mother Katie. She is survived by husband of 31 years, Bob; children, Niki, Casey and Erin; grandchildren, Bailie, Paxie and Connor; sister, Carol; niece, Kelly; nephew, Shawn; Uncle Eddie and Aunt Jenny; Aunt Sharon; cousins and dear friends, Art, Jackie, Rosemary and Charlie, Larry and Joann, Dom and Sherry; and all the extended family. Friends may call at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 21 at the Gathering Place in the rear of St. Mary Magdalene Church, 473 S. Roys, Columbus, Oh. with Mass at 7 p.m. Following the service, a pot luck will be held in the church basement. In lieu of flowers, since the green thumb in the family is gone, the family requests the donations be made to the Grandkids Education Fund.

TURKAL Diana K. Turkal, age 53, of Columbus, Saturday, March 17, 2001, Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Longtime employee of Defense Distribution Center of Columbus, Ohio. Preceded in death by parents Edward and Mary Turkal. Survived by brother and sister-in-law, Ric and Nancie Turkal; niece, Emmy; longtime friend, Trisha Kirk. Private graveside service. WINEL Jack R. Winel, age 82, peacefully passed away Thursday, March 15, 2001 at Riverside Hospital. Member of St. Andrew Catholic Church. Retired from Barclay American Bank. U.S. Marine veteran of WW II. Preceded in death by wife Olive Winel. Survived by daughter, Sharon Winel; son, Richard (Diana) Winel of Ind. and their children, Molly, Ethan and Conor; uncle, Msgr. Roland Winel; cousins, Bob and Bill O'Reilly, Jane Woolman, Betty Ept and Virginia Flesher. Friends may call at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. ALDRIN Charles B. Aldrin, age 52, of Christina Marie Drive, Orlando, Fla., formerly of Columbus, Oh., died Saturday, March 17, 2001. Mr. Aldrin was President, Raceplex Development, Orlando, Fla. He moved to Orlando in 1991. Born in Glenview, Ill. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church. 1968 Ohio State University National Championship Football Team. Amateur Race Driver, passion for all aspects of auto racing. Survived by wife, Maureen; daughters, Katie and Christie; son, Ryan of Orlando; sisters, Nancy Harrison, Joanna Norris; mother, Gertrude Blanchard Aldrin; 9 nephews; 6 nieces; 3 great-nephews. Preceded in death by father William A. Aldrin. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2001 at 10 a.m., Holy Family Catholic Church, Orlando, Fla.
